The Twilight Saga

I have no particular love for Bella or Twilight in general, but something that has been bouncing around in my mind is whether or not she is the hero, the savior of the Twilight world. I'm not really talking about whether she was a protaganist or antagonist. She was definitely the main character and good even though she did cause a lot of problems, she somehow did it without becoming a villian, but she didn't really seem to accomplish anything other than becoming a vampire. So, if she's not the hero and not the villian, what kind of character is she?

Exactly this is the point:

Edward was sure that Victoria will come after him and he tried to get danger far from Bella. He thought Victoria will chase him and Bella will be safe.

Yes, heroes used to do such things for people with whom they are in love. They sacrifyce their love. Till Breaking Dawn Jacob did the opposite. he was very selfish.

~_~ oh brother.

What kind of idiot leaves the girl he loves if he thinks she's in danger? It's like leaving a big juicy steak out in a lion's den but leaving a trail of bread crumbs in hopes of distracting the lion from the meat. Edward was having issues with his feelings and wanted space to think about it, but he couldn't admit that so he had to make something up. Jasper's attack provided the perfect excuse. Edward was being selfish then.

As for Jake, he doesn't have much as it is. He comes from a poor reservation life, he lost his mother, his father is in a wheelchair, I can't say I blame him for trying to hold on to whatever he thought he had with Bella.

Because Edward believed HE is a danger for Bella. NOT Victora.

Edward? Definitely not a hero. Lawful Good. His 'morales' and twisted logic sometimes get in the way of decisions.

ha ha, you're on that character alignment kick, aren't you?

you can't make fun of my meme addiction anymore! ^_/p>

Ha ha, Jacob never tried to steal Bella. He figured that she liked him and when she realized it, she would come running to him. When he finally accepted that she would never do that, he ran away for a while.

As far as him being a hero....well, I can't say he isn't, but I also can't say for sure that he is. Chaotic Good, I suppose.

But ths is exactly what he did: he tried to win girl from another boy. Yes it is the same as 'stealing'.

when  you  say it like that.....

it sounds justified and still not like stealling.

Win or buy, either way, it's not stealing.

Why not?

Jacob knew (although he refused to believe) that they are a couple. He tried to ruin their relationship. It is stealing by definition.

I think the only smart thing she ever did was plan an escape for Renesmee. That may be the only thing i can commend her for. But I would hardly call her a hero.

thank you. That was my opinion from the start, the only thing she ever did right was Renesmee. Everything else was a fart.

lol, i said fart ^.~
