Bella-Is she the hero of Saga?

I have no particular love for Bella or Twilight in general, but something that has been bouncing around in my mind is whether or not she is the hero, the savior of the Twilight world. I'm not really talking about whether she was a protaganist or antagonist. She was definitely the main character and good even though she did cause a lot of problems, she somehow did it without becoming a villian, but she didn't really seem to accomplish anything other than becoming a vampire. So, if she's not the hero and not the villian, what kind of character is she?

Again - any normal boyfriend would do the same, when pushy guy tries to steal girlfriend. Believe me, I know :D

Edward definitely and severely emotionally abused Bella

Actually Jacob gets more ponts. It was Jacob (not Edward) who called Bellai n words, abused her friends - both humans and vampires, tried to make decisions for her, fooled her, kissed her without her permission.

And... you mentioned that Edward forbids her to see certain people... but did you notice that Bella during her friendship with Jacob does not spend her time with schoolmates? Edward is more polite and social with them...

The kiss was out of line, but hardly sexual.

i know she is the main character and there wold be no twilight with out her but i can't stand bella. i don't know why i just can't. its like when u dislike someone but u don't really know why.

Except I don't like Bella because she seems intent on trying to kill herself when everyone else is trying to keep her alive.
