MyAnna Burning who plays Tanya in Breaking Dawn Part 2 spoke with the Twilight websites as part of our ongoing New Face Friday’s series. Last week the series kicked off with fellow Denali coven member Casey Labow. MyAnna was a Twilight fan before the movies ever came out and she was quite excited to talk to all of us.
Q: A lot of people who are cast talk about the very first time they see themselves in their red or gold contacts, and that’s the first time they really felt like a vampire. Can you describe what it was like for us the very first time you saw yourself all decked out in your vampire gear?
MyAnna: It was amazing. I think that’s the first moment that I really, truly, believed that I was doing the film. Because all of it, you know, you have this build up when you get the part and you can’t quite believe it’s true then, and then you arrive and you still can’t quite believe it’s true then. The idea of you becoming a vampire, or becoming part of this incredible group of vampires that’s described in Stephenie’s films, it’s such a far-fetched notion in a way, and then all of a sudden as soon as the contacts go in, it’s a reality. Suddenly you are able to see yourself as a part of that group, if you will, and it’s an amazing feeling.
Q: Congrats on being cast in Downton Abbey. Can you tell us a little about that part and when you are starting to work on it?
MyAnna: I’ve already started working on it. I play a maid who joins the rest of the staff downstairs. She causes a bit of mischief and I’m very excited to be playing, her name is Edna, and I’m thrilled, really.

Permalink Reply by Vicky Sims on July 28, 2012 at 12:04pm Still no Nessie poster? I wonder why? Maybe Pen, you could make a poster or somebody send a note to Summit. Nessie is a Cullen and she deserves her own poster.IMO

Nessie is a Cullen
But Renesmee is also a Swan and since Renesmee is the fruition of Bella and Edward's union, maybe the studio is wary about putting anything up that would involve KSew or RPaz atm given the fact that they are Renesmee's parents. I am not trying to talk about the non-sparkly news of late but am only talking about the publicity for BD2. That's going to be very awkward, I would guess. Hmm..maybe these recent RL events will take the focus away from the negativity people seem to feel for the whole Renesmee & Jacob imprinting aspect of TTS. BD 1 & 2
Permalink Reply by Vicky Sims on July 28, 2012 at 4:18pm Sorry but RPatz and KStew are just going to have to suck it and start promoting the film. I want a Nessie poster or something. Her conception and her gifts are the drivng momentum of the film. How can she not be included in the film's promotion? Summit doesn't need either one of them for that, they need MacKenzie.
Permalink Reply by Danette (DMK) on July 28, 2012 at 5:18pm Hey...here is a little something that makes me happy and sad at the same time...
twilight is beyond a movie or a franchise....it is about "family" and close friends....
I look so forward to BD Part 2....yet, it's so sad as well....
it's like the after math of christmas/halloween being over....you have your presents and candy...but you miss the joy/anticipation before the celebration....
Permalink Reply by Lorece on July 28, 2012 at 6:11pm Hey Danette! How are you?
Thanks for posting this even though anything Twilight related breaks my heart right now. Hearing Elizabeth talk about the bittersweet reality of it all, talk of friendships and family...I'm trying to stay positive for the finale but the recent turn of events is just gut-wrenching. I guess I'll just have to pack some tissues when I go see BD2.
