So far, two bands have been confirmed for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2's soundtrack, and now it's time to take a closer look at who those are!
The first band to be confirmed for the movie isIko for their song "Heart of Stone." Jack Morrissey - partner to director Bill Condon - identified this song back in February from the first sneak peek clip (the one shown at Target locations across the country for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 DVD parties). Morrissey recently confirmed in his latest "Team Jack" Q&A session that this song will make it into the movie.
Iko is a British band known for its progressive rock style, and they've got some experience working with Twilight Saga soundtrack series supervisor Alexandra Patsavas in the past (their"Look What You've Done To Me" was included in ABC's FlashForward thanks to that relationship). More information on Iko can be found at their website.
The second band announced for the Breaking Dawn - Part 2 soundtrack is Passion Pit, which was reportedly confirmed at Comic-Con last week. That American group is known for an "electropop" sound and has been included on many TV shows, including Skins, Gossip Girl, So You Think You Can Dance, and Ugly Betty. Passion Pit's most well-known song is "Sleepyhead," which was used in commercials. Visit their website for more info on this Breaking Dawn - Part 2 band!
