The Twilight Saga

This is about Amelie, a half vampire half human girl who is different in a lot of ways to Renesmee. She was created, like a vampire, however the venom didn't have time to spread completely, leaving her part human. She is subject to uncontrolable rages in which she kills hundreds of people with out meaning to. It is set around the time of Eclipse.

Ghost

Chapter 1

I heard my Dad pause outside my door, I thought he was going to come in, but then I heard a meow. Oh, my cat must be outside.

“I need another bookcase.” I said to him.

His response came quickly, “No you don’t I’m sure there’s enough room on your current one.”

He came into my room, his eyes twinkling, he too, turned to look at my colossal bookshelf, which covered the whole of the wall.

“Look, Dad!” I point to the books neatly stacked at the bottom because they couldn’t fit, “They have no room at all!”

Dad smiled at me, “I’m sure you could create a bookshelf on your floor like that.”

I mock-glared at him, and whined, “Daaaad, you know I can’t. You have a day off tomorrow, can’t you build me one then?”

“I will put it on my to-do list.”

I moaned, my Dad’s to-do was about a mile long, and went from jobs that dated years back (painting the bathroom) to very recent jobs (extending the garage). If my bookshelf was put on his to-do list, it would never get done.

“There’s room there!” I pointed to the only spare wall above my bed, “You can build me one like my old room had. You know, the simple wood nailed to the wall, or whatever.”

“No, they had a terrible design. I will think long and hard about it.”

I could tell he was joking, but I followed him out of my room and down the hallway, “Think about it now and then do it tomorrow. It’s supposed to be raining so you can’t do any brick laying. You have all day to build me a bookshelf!”

I had stopped walking, Dad paused at the top of the stairs, “I will put it on my to-do list.”

I groaned and pretended to sulk. I could hear my Dad laughing, I joined in with him.

I knew it was going to get done, either tomorrow or over the weekend. There were two reasons I was positive of this: First, I was an only child and my Dad loved to see me smile, so he did a lot of stuff for me, and second, I was a wildly volatile half vampire half human girl, who with no warning, could massacre a whole village if I got angry. I got most things done for me.

I suppose I felt a bit guilty about being able to have pretty much anything done for me because people were terrified I would eat them, but they were right to worry. Of course, when I got angry, I didn’t mean to kill people, it just happened. And I regretted it deeply later. I always tried to console the families, however they ran away screaming every time they saw me. Sometimes this made me angry and I would kill the rest of them, so I gave up trying to help.

I had never killed someone close to me though. But seeing as I didn’t have any friends, I was an only child and my Mum had been murdered four years ago, my Dad was the only one close to me.

There was one major advantage of being me though. I was born with a very advanced mind. Which meant I had gone to school for a year, but at the end of that year, I knew everything my Dad knew so there was no need to continue my schooling. The Government accepted this and after that they stayed well away from my Dad and I.

Actually, I thought, staring and my bookcase, if someone wanted to hurt me, my books would be a very good place to start.

I loved my books, they were my only companions really. I loved my Dad to pieces, but he was still a Dad. My books consoled me, because they showed me fragments of lives that were so much worse than mine. Even if all of them were fictional.

I was completely sure what the name of my species was, I supposed that technically zombie was the most accurate, because I was dead but then I was saved by the kiss of a vampire.

I absentmindedly rubbed the crescent-shaped scar on my neck. I had never met that vampire who brought me back to life. I’m not that bothered either. Dad said she was nice, with short, black hair, he said she looked more like a pixie than a vampire.

Waking up from being dead, now there was an unpleasant experience. Imagine pins and needles. Now imagine that times a thousand. You now sort of understand how uncomfortable being brought back was.

I slumped onto my bed, murmuring apologies to my cat, Hazel, and turned my iPod on to some random noise. I never really got into music. It was always just background noise, quiet unnerved me. I opened my current book, an enjoyable book about demons. It was relaxing change from the endless romance that made up most of my books. I don’t think the main character in this book was even capable of love. He seemed cold.

I’d already had dinner, so there were no more disturbances that evening. It took me a couple of hours to finish my book, but I stayed up late thinking about stuff. I did it a lot. I talk to myself in my mind. Well, I speed talk. So it was about one in the morning when I finally turned my light off.

Well then you will be waiting a long time!
I can now call myself amazing. Chapter 18 and 19.

Chapter 18

“Where are the coming Alice?” Edward asked, he had been virtually silent ever since Bella left for La Push and Jacob Black.

“About half a mile west of her.” She said after a second. “Just an ordinary piece of forest. Nothing special.”

Sure, nothing special when you go out to kill a large group of your own species. I thought to myself. Do the Volturi really think of murder as something that normal, that it requires no second thought.

But I do. When I get angry, I enjoy the killing. I thought to myself. Isn’t that worse than thinking of it as a normal, everyday affair?

I pushed those thoughts away. I do grieve for the people I kill. I feel sorry for the families and I try to talk to them but they just leave…

But I never grieve for long. Do I? I barely ever think about Uncle Greg and I never really felt sorry for him, did I? And I don’t even remember most of them. I don’t want to remember them.

I sighed and shoved the pointless argument out of my head. It was no good thinking of things like that at a time like this. It made the situation seem a lot worse if I’m already depressed with those sort of thoughts.

I leant my head back against the wall and closed my eyes. I hoped the Volturi wouldn’t be too long, I hated the tension that filled the room as the hours passed.

I wanted to sleep, however sleep never came, so I just pretended that I was asleep. I found it quite calming. Every so often Alice would give us a time update, but apart from that we were silent. Even Ria was sobbing silently.

Eventually, I felt myself slipping into sleep. But just before I lost conscious I heard Alice saying, “An hour, maximum.” But then I was gone. But instead of darkness, I had a dream. If I was awake I would have been surprised. I never dream.

The sun was setting, casting an orange glow over the trees. I could hear screaming from somewhere, and low voices. “KILL ME.” It screamed. Then silence. I made my way desperately towards the voice. I needed to know that they were okay. I plunged into the forest, and stared widely around. They must be hear somewhere. I heard a scream again and I followed it, but I couldn’t see. There was no light coming through the densely packed trees. A scream again, followed by desperate pleading. I stumbled and fell as I crashed through the trees to find them. The screaming got louder and I realised I was getting closer, hope rose up in my throat until it was hard to breathe. A clearing, there was a small clearing. A figure was on the floor, surrounded by tall, ominous figures. But I couldn’t reach the one on the floor in time. I was falling…falling into icy water. It was hugging my body closely. So cold, I was so cold. Help me.

“Amelie! AMELIE!” A voice was shouting in my ear.

My eyelids jerked opened and I realised that the cold was coming from the vampires bodies circling me. Alice had pulled me onto her lap and had her arms around me. She was growling fiercely at Edward and Carlisle who were trying to get close to me. She looked like she was going to cry when my eyes opened.

“Oh, Amelie!” Her voice broke. I patted her shoulder clumsily, still trying to wake up from my dream.

“I’m okay Alice. I’m fine.” I blinked several times and everything became clear, “What happened?”

Alice seemed to be too choked up with relief to answer, so Jasper answered for her, “You fell asleep, and we were going to wake you, but you just started screaming. So Alice kept shaking you, but you just weren’t waking up at all. And then you started screaming louder. Something about water…”

Water…the icy cold water. I shivered slightly, “It was just a nightmare.” I wasn’t sure who I was reassuring. Them, or me. I didn’t matter who I was reassuring, nobody seemed to believe that it was ‘just’ a nightmare.

“I’m fine. I really am. No need to panic.” I was mainly telling Alice this, who looked on the verge of a panic attack.

She looked like she was going to say something, but her eyes went blank and Edward hissed. In the next second there was a light tap at the front door. We all turned to see who it was, though I already knew.

Sure enough, a vampire stood on the front step. Illuminated by the light of the moon behind him. “Aro, Caius and Marcus want your presence. As do our soon-to-be leaders.”

What? The Romanians had already won? Or was this vampire just a Romanian supporter like Alice had mentioned. But it didn’t matter what he was because the Cullens and Ria got up to follow him.

Alice and Edward came towards us, “We’ll carry you, get on out backs.” Edward told us, I clambered up onto his back, thinking that Ria would be more comfortable on Alice. The vampire was waiting at the door, looking impatient.

“Hurry up.” He growled at us. Ria quickly hopped up onto Alice. Then we were flying.

It was terrifying, and yet it was the best feeling in the world. I only just managed to keep my mouth shut as we plummeted threw the overgrowth. But, too soon, it was over. I could just see in the dim light, but I knew that Ria would be blind. I could just see Alice guiding her by the elbow west.

Edward also pulled me along until we came to the edge of a small clearing. Well, it wouldn’t usually be small, however when it was full of about a hundred vampires, it seemed very small. Most were standing glaring at the Volturi, however the Italians weren’t at a major disadvantage, they had a very large force standing behind them as well.

As we entered the clearing, a vampire with remarkable skin and jet black hair smiled at us. He looked ecstatic that we had arrived.

“My dear Cullens, you have come!” He searched each of our faces until his eyes rested on Alice, she smiled back at him. Then his eyes travelled over mine and Ria’s faces, “And this must be Amelie and Ria. It is truly lovely to meet you. But Edward, where is Bella?”

I wasn’t surprised he already knew our names. Alice had explained to me about Aro and his gifts.

Edward, however, did not smile, “She is staying at home. She didn’t want to come.” He obviously, did not think too much of Aro and his coven.

Carlisle took the attention of Edward by walking forward towards the Volturi, “Aro, my friend. It is good to see you looking so well.”

Aro also walked towards him and the two vampires embraced like old friends. I suppose they were, very old friends. Edward stiffened slightly, and Alice and I looked at him curiously, but he just shook his head.

I gazed at the vampires that ringed the clearing. Most of them were watching Carlisle and Aro, who were now catching up slightly. However a few were still looking at us curiously. Some were looking at me a Ria. I glared sharply at the ones who were looking at me, and they quickly looked away. I had a basilisk glare

Then one of the Romanian leaders caught my eye. He was looking hungrily at Ria, like she was his meal. I snarled loudly at him, all the vampires fell silent and turned their attention to me and him.

His skin was the same as Aro’s however his eyes did not have the milky film like the Volturi did. He also had black hair, however it was not as long, nor as dark as Aro’s. When I snarled he looked at me sort of surprised, but then his features settled into a mask of hate. What had I done? And what had Ria done apart from found out a secret that was very badly kept. I could feel the signs of me losing control.

No! Edward help me! Edward obviously heard my cry for help because he appeared at my side and held me back. His grip was like a iron vice. There was no way for me to get out of it. Alice, sensing trouble, ran to my other arms and placed a soothing hand on it. I calmed down instantly with my suppressant near me.

The vampires watched this with great interest. Especially Aro.

“We haven’t been properly introduced, Amelie.” Aro held out a hand towards me. I eyed it distastefully, but I saw no way to avoid it.

I stepped forward and met his milky-eyed stare. I suddenly couldn’t look away, no matter how much I wanted to. It could have been a second, or an hour, but Aro stepped back and laughed.

“That was fascinating.” He said to me, but it also seemed like he was talking to everyone else at the same time, “You are very unique young Amelie.”

I said nothing, I just looked at him using my glassy eyed stare. I found that this tended to unnerve people, especially with my ice blue eyes. But it only seemed to make Aro happier. Jeez, does he ever get upset over anything?

I stepped back so that I was next to Alice, she reached up to hold my hand. The Volturi seemed to remember their purpose and turned to face the Romanians. Caius shared a look with Marcus and Aro, and then stepped forward.

“Stefan, Vladimir and other assembled vampires. You stand here, facing the vampires who have ruled you well over several millennia. Why? We are not harsh leaders, and we treat everyone fairly, why rise against us?”

Vladimir and Stefan looked angry at the summary of their rule, “You have not lead us like that.” Stefan spat at them, “You stay in your tower and send your guard out every once and a while to kill innocent vampires. Once, you may have been good, however now your rule is corrupt and we will no longer stand for it!”

At the beginning of the speech, some of the Romanian vampires looked slightly swayed, however there were cheers greeting this statement. They would stay with the people they believed in.

Aro looked sad by this, “Then, I am afraid, we have no choice but to eliminate you.” He snapped his fingers and the guard stood to action, “My precious Volturi Guard. Attack to preserve your masters.”

Chapter 19

Every single vampire reacted to Aro’s words. Immediately, the Volturi jumped forward and the Romanians ran out to meet them.

I was watching Stefan and Vladimir annihilating row after row of Italian vampires when I felt the air rushing past me and Alice pulled me backwards.

“What-,” I began, but a high scream of the fight cut off the rest of my words. I looked to see a vampire who looked about sixteen being cut into ribbons by a small, angelic girl with pale brown hair. I closed my eyes and looked away from the scene.

I heard another scream and my eyes opened to see one of the Volturi guard being butchered by Stefan.

Aro saw this and let out a cry of despair, “Chelsea!” Another large vampire looked up at Aro’s call and saw Chelsea on the ground and let out a below of rage. Aro looked no happier when the new vampire fought his way over to Stefan, “Afton! No!”

But Afton was past listening to his masters, he ran straight to Stefan and tried to rip him to shreds, but before he could even touch him, more Romanian supporters were descending on him. Aro let out another louder cry at this. And looked around for a free vampire, but all were engaged in their own fights.

There was a very large fight going on in the middle of the clearing. It seemed to be two very large and strong Volturi Guards against about seven other vampires. As I watched, the smaller Italian fell leaving the biggest one against the other seven. He ripped the heads off two but then another four snuck up behind him and pulled him over. I turned my head so I didn’t have to see what was happening.

It was doing this all over, the Romanians were killing more and more people. I saw Aro, Marcus and Caius shrink back into the shadows of the trees as they realised that they weren’t going to win this fight. But so did Vladimir. He advanced over the still-moving body parts that littered the ground towards them. Stefan saw what he was doing and quickly joined him.

The was no more movement from the vampires behind them. The slaughter was done. The Romanians had won.

“You overthrew us once,” Stefan said menacingly, “We think it’s time to give you a taste of your own medicine.”

They were too fast for me to see. But suddenly, there were pieces of the Volturi littered around the forest, and the Romanian’s stood in the exact spot where the trio had been standing just seconds ago.

They turned to face the on looking crowd, “Our friends and allies! You have witnessed today, a historic event. We will be much better that the Volturi, we will not make ourselves up to kings, we are all vampires, we are all the same. The Volturi made it seem that they were a class above us, but they were ordinary vampires, albeit older than us, but they can die. As we all can. Join us in a new era! A better one! Lung ficat art Romania!” Long Live Romania.
Thank you Rhia... Tell teh llamas thanks.
The llama called Higgles was jumping up and down.
THAT provides an interesting sight...
I'm just posting it now! I have written loads today! Maybe because I haven't read anything....
charlotte! *whiny voice* i liked the volturi *pout*
I always liked the Volturi. It's hard to have a bad guy who you like!! But I hated the Romanians so it will be so much easier to write about them. XD
Chapter 20

The words were greeted by much cheering and yelling from the crowd. The Romanians smiled happily at this.

“I think, my friends, that it is time for a victory feast.” And with that, Stefan and Vladimir – the new rulers – turned on their heels and ran. The crowd followed, still yelling wildly.

And then it was silent, just us left. I surveyed the mess left, was this how I left my battles? With no second thought? How are they any better than the Volturi were?

Carlisle was standing over the bodies of the trio. He looked sad, they were his friends I reminded my self. Of course he is going to feel sad. Esme put a hand on his shoulder and stood with him, her head bowed.

We stood like that for a long time. Eventually Carlisle raised his head, “We should make a fire.” And burn the pieces. I added on the remainder of the sentence in my head. It was the only way to destroy me as well.

As I gathered up the pieces I noticed a flash of gold on the ground. It was a small gold locket, I opened it with great difficulty. Inside was a small picture of a smiling, angelic boy and on the opposite side was an engraving. He looked like a brother to the girl I had seen killing the Romanian vampire. But he looked different, he looked kinder than her. My heart immediately flew to him. I wanted to help him. But he was dead.

I touched the picture gently, stroking his face. The arms, legs and torso’s I had been carrying over to the fire slipped out of my grasp. I was just starting to bend over to pick them up, when they started to reattach themselves. I stood, watching in amazement, as arms joined to shoulders, legs joined to hips. Finally, a small head rolled over and attached itself to the neck. It was possibly the strangest sight that I had ever seen.

The figure pushed himself up from the ground. It was the boy from the locket. He looked at me, slightly surprised, and then his expression turned to agony as he looked around at his family. Lying dead on the ground. Automatically, I put a hand on his shoulder.

He looked at me, the pain obvious in his eyes. I dropped my hand, embarrassed. It felt awkward, with it just hanging at my side. But I didn’t want to draw anymore attention to it. I felt the complete humiliation coming on, and I closed my eyes. My cheeks burned scarlet. But something that I was not expecting happened, I felt cold, smooth fingers twine themselves into mine. I looked up in surprise to see the boy’s stretched out arm, his hand clutched onto me. It felt natural, easy as breathing. I smiled tentatively at him, his return smile lit up his face, making him the most beautiful person I had ever seen in my life. I never ever wanted to leave his side.

“What’s your name?” He asked me. He had the most appealing, velvet voice.

“Amelie.” I replied simply.

“Amelie.” It seemed as if he was tasting the word, “I’m Alec.”

I smiled slightly. Amelie and Alec, it just fit. Then I remembered the locket, “This is yours, I think.”

I handed him the locket, and his eyes creased up in pain, what had I said? “It’s not mine.” He told me, “It was my sisters, Jane. It was from our parents.”

I squeezed his hand, “I’m sorry.”

He looked at the gold locket and then held it out to me, “I want you to have it, it will mean something more to you...” He was giving me the only thing he had left of his sister? And possibly his parents?

I nodded and held my arm out to him. He gently attached the gold bracelet onto my wrist. The engraving flashed slightly in the sunlight. It was in Italian.
