The Twilight Saga

This is about Amelie, a half vampire half human girl who is different in a lot of ways to Renesmee. She was created, like a vampire, however the venom didn't have time to spread completely, leaving her part human. She is subject to uncontrolable rages in which she kills hundreds of people with out meaning to. It is set around the time of Eclipse.

Ghost

Chapter 1

I heard my Dad pause outside my door, I thought he was going to come in, but then I heard a meow. Oh, my cat must be outside.

“I need another bookcase.” I said to him.

His response came quickly, “No you don’t I’m sure there’s enough room on your current one.”

He came into my room, his eyes twinkling, he too, turned to look at my colossal bookshelf, which covered the whole of the wall.

“Look, Dad!” I point to the books neatly stacked at the bottom because they couldn’t fit, “They have no room at all!”

Dad smiled at me, “I’m sure you could create a bookshelf on your floor like that.”

I mock-glared at him, and whined, “Daaaad, you know I can’t. You have a day off tomorrow, can’t you build me one then?”

“I will put it on my to-do list.”

I moaned, my Dad’s to-do was about a mile long, and went from jobs that dated years back (painting the bathroom) to very recent jobs (extending the garage). If my bookshelf was put on his to-do list, it would never get done.

“There’s room there!” I pointed to the only spare wall above my bed, “You can build me one like my old room had. You know, the simple wood nailed to the wall, or whatever.”

“No, they had a terrible design. I will think long and hard about it.”

I could tell he was joking, but I followed him out of my room and down the hallway, “Think about it now and then do it tomorrow. It’s supposed to be raining so you can’t do any brick laying. You have all day to build me a bookshelf!”

I had stopped walking, Dad paused at the top of the stairs, “I will put it on my to-do list.”

I groaned and pretended to sulk. I could hear my Dad laughing, I joined in with him.

I knew it was going to get done, either tomorrow or over the weekend. There were two reasons I was positive of this: First, I was an only child and my Dad loved to see me smile, so he did a lot of stuff for me, and second, I was a wildly volatile half vampire half human girl, who with no warning, could massacre a whole village if I got angry. I got most things done for me.

I suppose I felt a bit guilty about being able to have pretty much anything done for me because people were terrified I would eat them, but they were right to worry. Of course, when I got angry, I didn’t mean to kill people, it just happened. And I regretted it deeply later. I always tried to console the families, however they ran away screaming every time they saw me. Sometimes this made me angry and I would kill the rest of them, so I gave up trying to help.

I had never killed someone close to me though. But seeing as I didn’t have any friends, I was an only child and my Mum had been murdered four years ago, my Dad was the only one close to me.

There was one major advantage of being me though. I was born with a very advanced mind. Which meant I had gone to school for a year, but at the end of that year, I knew everything my Dad knew so there was no need to continue my schooling. The Government accepted this and after that they stayed well away from my Dad and I.

Actually, I thought, staring and my bookcase, if someone wanted to hurt me, my books would be a very good place to start.

I loved my books, they were my only companions really. I loved my Dad to pieces, but he was still a Dad. My books consoled me, because they showed me fragments of lives that were so much worse than mine. Even if all of them were fictional.

I was completely sure what the name of my species was, I supposed that technically zombie was the most accurate, because I was dead but then I was saved by the kiss of a vampire.

I absentmindedly rubbed the crescent-shaped scar on my neck. I had never met that vampire who brought me back to life. I’m not that bothered either. Dad said she was nice, with short, black hair, he said she looked more like a pixie than a vampire.

Waking up from being dead, now there was an unpleasant experience. Imagine pins and needles. Now imagine that times a thousand. You now sort of understand how uncomfortable being brought back was.

I slumped onto my bed, murmuring apologies to my cat, Hazel, and turned my iPod on to some random noise. I never really got into music. It was always just background noise, quiet unnerved me. I opened my current book, an enjoyable book about demons. It was relaxing change from the endless romance that made up most of my books. I don’t think the main character in this book was even capable of love. He seemed cold.

I’d already had dinner, so there were no more disturbances that evening. It took me a couple of hours to finish my book, but I stayed up late thinking about stuff. I did it a lot. I talk to myself in my mind. Well, I speed talk. So it was about one in the morning when I finally turned my light off.

Chapter 24

When I woke up, I was lying on my bed. Alec was lying next to me. The covers were sprawled around my body. I felt well rested, better than I had in years. I stretched, yawned and opened my eyes. Alec smiled at me and kissed the top of my head.

“What time is it?” I asked. The daylight was odd, too bright for the usually gloomy Forks. I tried to work out what it was.

“About twelve noon.” He told me.

I glanced out the window and realised what was odd. The sun was out, and there were no rain clouds in sight. Finally! Britain was usually rainy, however it was nowhere near as bad as Washington.

I fell back onto the bed, my blonde hair fanned out like a halo around my head. Everything seemed perfect today. After a little while of sitting silently, I decided to go into the maze that Alice had called my ‘clothes room’. How many sixteen year old girls had a clothes room?

I jumped up – making sure that the duvet was securely around me – and walked down the small corridor into the gigantic room. I wanted something summery and bright…something to match my mood.

I found a pale blue and green checked long, thin shirt, and a pair of denim shorts. I searched and searched for shoes, but I couldn’t see them anywhere. That was odd. Alice loved shopping, why didn’t she buy any shoes? And then I saw the other door. Oh dear.

I approached it warily and pushed it open. How had Esme managed to fit this room on? It was almost as big as the house. And completely filled with shoes. This. Could. Not. Be. Possible. And yet, it was. I exhaled in a gust and set about looking for a pair of sandals. Preferably blue. I was in luck, I found the most gorgeous pair of flat, blue sandals, which went perfectly. But they seemed to be the only flat shoes in this room. All the others had seven inch heels that would probably kill me. It was a good thing I didn’t die too easily.

Lastly, I found a pair of large, white sunglasses. I considered using the blue ones, but I was wearing too much blue.

“How do I look?” I asked Alec as I bounded out of the ‘clothes room’. Or death trap as I was starting to think of it.

“Stunning.” He announced and pulled me to the front door. “I assume you want to show of your new outfit?”

I made a face, “If we don’t get going soon Ria will call us.”

Alec seemed to agree with this, because he pulled me onto his back and ran with me. I loved fast things, that’s why I was in love with sports cars, so nothing could compare to Alec running. Almost nothing, I remembered yesterday and blushed. I was glad he couldn’t see.

He jumped smoothly over the river and set me down. We walked, hand in hand, towards the house. It looked huge compared to my tiny cottage. The sun was reflecting off the windows. I glanced over at Alec, and stroked his shimmering skin. I would never be able to compare to the beauty of him in the sun.

We walked into the room and I saw Emmett grin evilly at us. If he was planning something, I would kill him. Or get Alec to kill him, I didn’t really mind which one.

Alice and Ria were bent over a piece of paper, each was holding a bright green highlighter. Edward was talking with Bella, her brow was furrowed and he looked like he was begging her to do something. They always seemed to do that, Bella was so stubborn.

I walked over to Alice and Ria, so did Alec because we hasn’t let go of each other.

“What are you doing?” I asked, trying to get a glimpse of the sheet of paper.

“We,” Ria began.

“Are planning a shopping trip!” Alice finished.

“Shopping.” I stated, “Why are you two going shopping?”

“I have very good self control, so I want to try and resume my normal life.” Ria told me, Alice glared at her, as if that was only a small reason of why they were going.

“We’re being forced to come as well.” Bella called over to me.

My mouth popped open and I glared at Alice and Ria, who were grinning at me, “Alice. I have enough clothes to last me until I die! I don’t need to go shopping!”

Alice smirked at me, “We all need to do something girly together, without the boys. And shopping is perfect!”

“I’m not going.” It was a pointless thing to say, because I knew that Alice would get me to come, even if it involved dragging me to the car by my toenails.

“Yes you are.” Ria told me. And I jumped at the command.

“Ria! Take it off!” I said to her, trying to glare at her.

Bella, who had joined us, sighed, “It’s useless trying to get her to make it go away, she just ignores me when I ask her. And everybody else wants to see how long a command will last. I’m just hoping it wears off soon so I can get out of it.”

I threw my hands up in the air, “Fine! But you can’t make me feel happy it about it. And what are you going to do about the sun?” At least I could sulk through it all.

Alice meaningfully eyed Jasper and a wave of happiness and eagerness engulfed me. I gasped at how wonderful I felt.

“This isn’t fair!” I laughed while I said it. I tried to feel angry, but nothing could penetrate the bubble of happiness I was in. Alice and Ria just laughed at me, but I wasn’t sure whether that was because Jasper was also influencing them.

“Let’s go!” Alice sang, and she grabbed Bella and I and flew to the door. Stopping just for a minute to turn to Edward and say, “I’m taking your car. And the sun will go in while we’re driving.” I saw Bella pout.

I heard Edward try and object, but Alice had pulled us into the garage. Why did we have to go in the Volvo? Why couldn’t we take Alice’s Porsche? Jasper’s gift was beginning to weaken and I felt the eagerness ebb away.

I was surprised when Alice ran straight past the Volvo and was about to ask where we were going, when she put me down next to Edward’s Vanquish. The happiness returned in force. It was such a strong wave, that I felt a jolt in my stomach that actually hurt. I hadn’t realised I wanted to go in it that much.

“Please, Alice. Please can I drive!” I begged her, “I’ll be perfectly happy and let you dress me up as much as you want. Please let me drive!”

She raised her eyebrows, considering the offer and then nodded, “Deal.” She tossed my the keys and I ran around to the drivers seat. I hopped in and pulled the seatbelt on.

“Everyone ready?” I asked.

They nodded, Bella looked slightly feint. She didn’t like people who drove fast, oh well. No fun being in a Vanquish if you don’t drive fast. I threw the car into reverse and it sped backwards down the three mile drive way. Thank god I have fast reflexes.

When I reached the road, Bella was white and clutching her seat, while Alice, Ria and I roared with laughter. When they hysterics subsided a little, and I could breathe I asked Alice where we were going.

In a second she had the whole route planned out on a top-class SAT NAV. “Just follow that.” She told me.

We were off again. I think the slowest that I went in the whole journey was about a hundred and twenty miles an hour. We didn’t see a single police car during the whole journey. I was having a really good day.

The SAT NAV, who I had dubbed ‘Matilda’ announced in her calm voice, “You have reached your destination.”

I was still giggling hysterically when I opened the door and got out. Sure enough, the sun was covered by clouds. Bella stumbled out of the door next to me, her face was green.

“Please Alice,” she begged, “Don’t let Amelie drive on the way back.”

I would have usually felt offended, but not today. I was too happy. “It’s okay Bella. I won’t drive. Ria or Alice can drive instead.”

Bella nodded her thanks, she was still very pale. I felt a sharp twinge in my stomach and I gasped in pain and slid my hands over it.

Alice looked me over, “Are you okay?”

I nodded, “Yeah, it’s just a stitch. From laughing I think.” I couldn’t be getting ill, I was never ill. I had not been ill one day in my life. I couldn’t be getting ill.

Alice dragged us all round shop after shop. And she was delighted when Ria showed her fashion interest. We were in a fabulously expensive shop, filled with clothes that I adored and shoes that would kill me. When Alice’s face went blank. Then she looked up at me, pure surprise on her face.

“Amelie.” She said just as a particularly strong pain in my abdomen. I felt like I was about to be sick and I clamped a hand to my mouth and sprinted to some doors that I hoped lead to the toilets. I was in luck and I threw up noisily in the closest one. Of all the times for me to get it. Another sharp pain in my stomach made me bend over, my eyes screwed tight together.

Once the pain had passed I looked up at Alice, “What’s wrong with me?” I almost sobbed.

Her words made me faint. Or that might have been the pain that washed through me at that moment.
keeeeeeep guessing. XD
No your not wrong. She is.
And swine flu? I know nothing about the syptoms of that. I could make some up...but i doubt that they would be very realistic.
School should close.
We could all diiiiiiiiiiiiiie. And I would have more time to write!
Yeah. But if my school closes, it means that 3/4 of the worlds population is dead. My school NEVER closes.
Our school closed because of the snow too. But I think that most schools did.
IT is not cool to have your school closed. trust me... now i have tons of homework and teachers that can contact me even if i went to the other side of the world
