The Twilight Saga

This is about Amelie, a half vampire half human girl who is different in a lot of ways to Renesmee. She was created, like a vampire, however the venom didn't have time to spread completely, leaving her part human. She is subject to uncontrolable rages in which she kills hundreds of people with out meaning to. It is set around the time of Eclipse.

Ghost

Chapter 1

I heard my Dad pause outside my door, I thought he was going to come in, but then I heard a meow. Oh, my cat must be outside.

“I need another bookcase.” I said to him.

His response came quickly, “No you don’t I’m sure there’s enough room on your current one.”

He came into my room, his eyes twinkling, he too, turned to look at my colossal bookshelf, which covered the whole of the wall.

“Look, Dad!” I point to the books neatly stacked at the bottom because they couldn’t fit, “They have no room at all!”

Dad smiled at me, “I’m sure you could create a bookshelf on your floor like that.”

I mock-glared at him, and whined, “Daaaad, you know I can’t. You have a day off tomorrow, can’t you build me one then?”

“I will put it on my to-do list.”

I moaned, my Dad’s to-do was about a mile long, and went from jobs that dated years back (painting the bathroom) to very recent jobs (extending the garage). If my bookshelf was put on his to-do list, it would never get done.

“There’s room there!” I pointed to the only spare wall above my bed, “You can build me one like my old room had. You know, the simple wood nailed to the wall, or whatever.”

“No, they had a terrible design. I will think long and hard about it.”

I could tell he was joking, but I followed him out of my room and down the hallway, “Think about it now and then do it tomorrow. It’s supposed to be raining so you can’t do any brick laying. You have all day to build me a bookshelf!”

I had stopped walking, Dad paused at the top of the stairs, “I will put it on my to-do list.”

I groaned and pretended to sulk. I could hear my Dad laughing, I joined in with him.

I knew it was going to get done, either tomorrow or over the weekend. There were two reasons I was positive of this: First, I was an only child and my Dad loved to see me smile, so he did a lot of stuff for me, and second, I was a wildly volatile half vampire half human girl, who with no warning, could massacre a whole village if I got angry. I got most things done for me.

I suppose I felt a bit guilty about being able to have pretty much anything done for me because people were terrified I would eat them, but they were right to worry. Of course, when I got angry, I didn’t mean to kill people, it just happened. And I regretted it deeply later. I always tried to console the families, however they ran away screaming every time they saw me. Sometimes this made me angry and I would kill the rest of them, so I gave up trying to help.

I had never killed someone close to me though. But seeing as I didn’t have any friends, I was an only child and my Mum had been murdered four years ago, my Dad was the only one close to me.

There was one major advantage of being me though. I was born with a very advanced mind. Which meant I had gone to school for a year, but at the end of that year, I knew everything my Dad knew so there was no need to continue my schooling. The Government accepted this and after that they stayed well away from my Dad and I.

Actually, I thought, staring and my bookcase, if someone wanted to hurt me, my books would be a very good place to start.

I loved my books, they were my only companions really. I loved my Dad to pieces, but he was still a Dad. My books consoled me, because they showed me fragments of lives that were so much worse than mine. Even if all of them were fictional.

I was completely sure what the name of my species was, I supposed that technically zombie was the most accurate, because I was dead but then I was saved by the kiss of a vampire.

I absentmindedly rubbed the crescent-shaped scar on my neck. I had never met that vampire who brought me back to life. I’m not that bothered either. Dad said she was nice, with short, black hair, he said she looked more like a pixie than a vampire.

Waking up from being dead, now there was an unpleasant experience. Imagine pins and needles. Now imagine that times a thousand. You now sort of understand how uncomfortable being brought back was.

I slumped onto my bed, murmuring apologies to my cat, Hazel, and turned my iPod on to some random noise. I never really got into music. It was always just background noise, quiet unnerved me. I opened my current book, an enjoyable book about demons. It was relaxing change from the endless romance that made up most of my books. I don’t think the main character in this book was even capable of love. He seemed cold.

I’d already had dinner, so there were no more disturbances that evening. It took me a couple of hours to finish my book, but I stayed up late thinking about stuff. I did it a lot. I talk to myself in my mind. Well, I speed talk. So it was about one in the morning when I finally turned my light off.

Ok. XD
Chapter 38

The rest of the night was spent in causal conversation. We were dotted around the room in twos and threes chatting amiably. Alec and I were inseparable, and I was glad about this, I wanted Nick to see that he couldn’t make a move like that again.

But I really enjoyed it when Nick joined us. His easy wit and good humour kept me laughing through the evening, until it came to night and I crawled into bed with Alec. He put her arms around me and pressed his lips to my hair.

Richelle was talking to Alice, complaining that we had missed the theatre. I, for one, didn’t mind. It meant no makeover.

I was worried about my feelings for Nick, which were uncertain and I knew that that was very bad. I needed to know how I felt so that I could deal with it. It wrapped both of my arms around Alec’s naked torso and rested my head on his chest. It wouldn’t help me if he started getting protective.

I ignored the slight straining on my neck, and fell asleep like this. When I woke up, however, I was lying on my side, my head was resting on a fluffy pillow and I was only touching his hand. I opened my eyes and glanced at him, he was in the same position on the edge of the bed, however I had managed to roll off him ad get the duvets in a mess around my legs.

I scooted over to him and curled into his side, “Good morning.” I greeted him.

He smiled at me a kissed me gently. I returned the kiss forcefully. We would have continued but we heard a small voice say, “Ew! That’s gross Mom!”

I turned to see a disgusted Richelle waiting in the doorway, Nick was standing slightly behind her wearing a guarded expression.

“Sorry Ellie. We’ll stop now.” Alec told her. I sighed as he moved further away, but it was too low of Ellie to hear. She wouldn’t impressed with me if she heard that.

Once Ellie was reassured that we weren’t going to start kissing again, she hopped onto our bed. “Alice is taking me shopping today. She was going to ask whether you wanted to come, but I knew you wouldn’t.”

“You’re completely right. I most certainly am not going if I have a choice.”

Richelle sighed, shaking her head, “You make some very odd decisions Mommy.” She kissed mine and Alec’s cheek and the she ran out yelling, “I’ll be back later!”

I turned to Alec, “What are we doing today?”

He looked at me apologetically, “Jasper and I are going hunting. We’re getting thirsty.”

I pouted, I had forgotten that he would have to hunt soon, “Be quick.” I told him seriously. I wasn’t sure how much time I could spend with Nick on my own. I still hasn’t decided how I felt about him.

He laughed gently at my expression and kissed me once again before going to find Jasper. He barely noticed Nick’s presence as he walked out.

Nick sat down in Alec’s vacated spot and grinned at me, “Nice hair.” He complimented.

I realised that the last time I had brushed it was ages ago. Great, knotty hair, my favourite thing. I grimaced at my reflection in the mirror and went to find a brush. I needed one desperately.

I slumped back onto the bed and tried to de-clump my hair, which had started forming dreadlocks. Nick laughed at my pitiful attempts and took the brush from me. His careful hands had the mess gone in a minute.

“Thank you,” I said and his hands paused on my shoulders. It felt almost natural, but then I shook the feeling off. No matter how I felt towards Nick, I would never no that to Alec. I pushed myself out of him grasp and sat down on Ellie’s bed. This holiday wasn’t turning out how I had planned – not at all.

Nick’s eyes watched my every movement. I disconcerted me, I wasn’t used to being watched carefully anymore. The last I was watched so carefully was when the Romanians had threatened me with death.

I was at a crossroads. Either, I would go with Alec or I would go with Nick. No! I told myself sternly. There is no Nick. We are friends, that’s all. Even is I did love Nick, I would always love Alec more. I would talk to Nick, but that’s it. I would do anything else with him. He was a friend, and Alec was my love, my life. I couldn’t survive with Alec, I could survive with out Nick.

I glanced at the clock. Barely five minutes had passed. Crap. This was going to be a very long day.
