The Twilight Saga

This is about Amelie, a half vampire half human girl who is different in a lot of ways to Renesmee. She was created, like a vampire, however the venom didn't have time to spread completely, leaving her part human. She is subject to uncontrolable rages in which she kills hundreds of people with out meaning to. It is set around the time of Eclipse.

Ghost

Chapter 1

I heard my Dad pause outside my door, I thought he was going to come in, but then I heard a meow. Oh, my cat must be outside.

“I need another bookcase.” I said to him.

His response came quickly, “No you don’t I’m sure there’s enough room on your current one.”

He came into my room, his eyes twinkling, he too, turned to look at my colossal bookshelf, which covered the whole of the wall.

“Look, Dad!” I point to the books neatly stacked at the bottom because they couldn’t fit, “They have no room at all!”

Dad smiled at me, “I’m sure you could create a bookshelf on your floor like that.”

I mock-glared at him, and whined, “Daaaad, you know I can’t. You have a day off tomorrow, can’t you build me one then?”

“I will put it on my to-do list.”

I moaned, my Dad’s to-do was about a mile long, and went from jobs that dated years back (painting the bathroom) to very recent jobs (extending the garage). If my bookshelf was put on his to-do list, it would never get done.

“There’s room there!” I pointed to the only spare wall above my bed, “You can build me one like my old room had. You know, the simple wood nailed to the wall, or whatever.”

“No, they had a terrible design. I will think long and hard about it.”

I could tell he was joking, but I followed him out of my room and down the hallway, “Think about it now and then do it tomorrow. It’s supposed to be raining so you can’t do any brick laying. You have all day to build me a bookshelf!”

I had stopped walking, Dad paused at the top of the stairs, “I will put it on my to-do list.”

I groaned and pretended to sulk. I could hear my Dad laughing, I joined in with him.

I knew it was going to get done, either tomorrow or over the weekend. There were two reasons I was positive of this: First, I was an only child and my Dad loved to see me smile, so he did a lot of stuff for me, and second, I was a wildly volatile half vampire half human girl, who with no warning, could massacre a whole village if I got angry. I got most things done for me.

I suppose I felt a bit guilty about being able to have pretty much anything done for me because people were terrified I would eat them, but they were right to worry. Of course, when I got angry, I didn’t mean to kill people, it just happened. And I regretted it deeply later. I always tried to console the families, however they ran away screaming every time they saw me. Sometimes this made me angry and I would kill the rest of them, so I gave up trying to help.

I had never killed someone close to me though. But seeing as I didn’t have any friends, I was an only child and my Mum had been murdered four years ago, my Dad was the only one close to me.

There was one major advantage of being me though. I was born with a very advanced mind. Which meant I had gone to school for a year, but at the end of that year, I knew everything my Dad knew so there was no need to continue my schooling. The Government accepted this and after that they stayed well away from my Dad and I.

Actually, I thought, staring and my bookcase, if someone wanted to hurt me, my books would be a very good place to start.

I loved my books, they were my only companions really. I loved my Dad to pieces, but he was still a Dad. My books consoled me, because they showed me fragments of lives that were so much worse than mine. Even if all of them were fictional.

I was completely sure what the name of my species was, I supposed that technically zombie was the most accurate, because I was dead but then I was saved by the kiss of a vampire.

I absentmindedly rubbed the crescent-shaped scar on my neck. I had never met that vampire who brought me back to life. I’m not that bothered either. Dad said she was nice, with short, black hair, he said she looked more like a pixie than a vampire.

Waking up from being dead, now there was an unpleasant experience. Imagine pins and needles. Now imagine that times a thousand. You now sort of understand how uncomfortable being brought back was.

I slumped onto my bed, murmuring apologies to my cat, Hazel, and turned my iPod on to some random noise. I never really got into music. It was always just background noise, quiet unnerved me. I opened my current book, an enjoyable book about demons. It was relaxing change from the endless romance that made up most of my books. I don’t think the main character in this book was even capable of love. He seemed cold.

I’d already had dinner, so there were no more disturbances that evening. It took me a couple of hours to finish my book, but I stayed up late thinking about stuff. I did it a lot. I talk to myself in my mind. Well, I speed talk. So it was about one in the morning when I finally turned my light off.

Chapter 9 Richelle’s Point of View

Seth paused, unsure of what to do, but then he walked over to where Daddy had just been standing. He didn’t say anything at first. It looked like her was struggling to find the words.

“Hi,” I said, desperate to break the awkward silence that was building.

“Hi,” he replied and smiled slightly, “You know what’s going on, don’t you?”

I nodded, it was pretty obvious that I knew, seeing that Nessie had been imprinted on and I had met Jake. “Yeah. But I don’t understand most of it.”

That was true to a degree. I wasn’t completely sure how much he loved me, or whether I was meant to love him straight away. Because, while I certainly fancied him, I wasn’t anywhere near a full blown relationship – and neither was Daddy for sure.

“What don’t you understand?” he asked, “I’m sure I can answer most of your questions.”

I sighed, this moment was getting more and more awkward. It wasn’t easy to converse with a guy you’ve never met while you know he’d kill himself for you.

“It’s just, I know that most imprints love each other so much, but I barely know you. And this moment is so awkward for me, but I know that it shouldn’t be!” It didn’t help when I voiced these problems, if anything, it made it worse because now I felt very uncomfortable.

He smiled slightly, “Don’t worry – that’s what Jake told me, that you weren’t going to love me at the beginning. He had the same problem with Nessie when he told her.”

“What?” I asked confused. “I thought that Renesmee had always known.”

Seth smiled and shook his head, “Jake wanted to let her make her own choices without being pressured by the imprinting, but she asked him whether he had imprinted on her, he didn’t lie. They were awkward for a while because Nessie knew that Jacob loved her in loads of ways, and she only thought of him as a best friend. But then she started to see him differently.”

“So I don’t have to love you straight away?” I asked, relieved.

“No,” he answered. “There’s something else, isn’t there?”

I nodded miserably thinking of Daddy, “Yeah, but it’s not your problem.”

I stared at the ground and wasn’t aware that Seth had moved until his warm fingers were underneath my chin, lifting my head up gently so that he could look at me.

“If it’s your problem, it’s my problem,” he told me seriously. “I might be able to help.”

“It’s my Dad,” I said. “He doesn’t approve of the imprinting. Well, he doesn’t approve of me being in love.”

“Why?” Seth asked softly.

I closed my eyes, “Did any of the Cullens tell you about my mother?”

There was a short pause and then Seth answered, “Not really, I know very little about your family. Only a few scraps that I managed to pick up from casual conversation.”

I rested slightly on Seth’s arms and sighed, trying to figure out a way to say this without bringing back the hurtful memories that came with it.

“She was called Amelie, and she made some mistakes. But none of them were really her fault, they were mainly because of what she was. Her Dad died because of her, and then when she came to Forks, her best friend ant school had to be changed because she had guessed too much about what the Cullens were. And then we went on holiday to England and…” I trailed off, unable to voice the events that had lead to her death. Sobs built up in my throat – it had been a long time since I had talked aloud about her death. It was different to think about it, more real somehow. More painful.

Before I knew what was happening, Seth had both of his arms wrapped around me and he was hugging me hard. I blinked rapidly to rid the tears that were building up in my eyes, blurring my vision and I took deep, gulping breaths to try and calm my racing heart.

I heard Seth whisper frantically, “Ssh, you don’t need to say anything else if you don’t want to.”

I shook my head, wishing that I could just shut up, but Seth needed to know. “I need to tell you,” I whispered to him, “Anyway, she met and old friend and they got very… friendly. She broke Daddy’s heart because she had just said ‘yes’ to marrying him. We went to Denali, to get Daddy away from the memories in Forks. I hated her for it, I had to look after Daddy and I couldn’t talk to anyone about it. I really, really hated her for making my life like that. And then she came back, saying sorry. Daddy forgave her immediately but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. So I ran away.”

I stopped, trying to figure out how to say the next bit. Seth hugged me tighter and I understood that I could take all the time in the world, and he would wait forever.

“It’s complicated here, the man she had cheated with came back for me, to try and get to her. I was alone – Daddy was hunting. But she got there just in time, she stood no chance. He was a full vampire and she was a half vampire. Daddy got back right at the end, too late to do anything…”

I drew a shuddering breath as I remembered my screams for Mummy to wake up. The tears ignored my orders to go away and they poured down my cheeks. If only I hadn’t run away…

Seth pulled my even closer as he cradled me in his arms. I felt his soft lips pressing into my hair and I clung to him hard, trying to keep myself rooted in the present.

We stayed like that for a long time, but he never complained once. He just kept holding me as my sobs died down. But even when I had stopped crying, he didn’t let me go.

“And that’s why he doesn’t like this,” Seth concluded.

I nodded, “He doesn’t want to see me hurt like he was. It’s silly, but he really doesn’t want it to happen.”

“What are you going to do?” he asked softly.

I sighed quietly, “I don’t know. He’s my Dad – the only thing I really have left of my mother, and I don’t want to, I can’t, let him go. But I know what we’re destined to be, Seth, and I really don’t want to give that up.”

I pulled away slightly so that I could look up at him, and then, like it was the most natural thing in the world, I stood on tiptoes and kissed him.
Heya!! Anyone on?
