Permalink Reply by JJ on January 11, 2013 at 7:32pm Anyone else find it ironic that this discussion is started by "Renesme Cullen"? :D Of all the people to not hate Jacob, lol.
Permalink Reply by Cupcake on January 14, 2013 at 9:04am I don't like that Jacob is so irritating persistent of a woman who has told him she doesn't want him like that (the forced kiss, most of Eclipse). But, he's a teenage boy ruled by hormones, so who am I to criticize him? Other than like Bella, what does he do that offends you, truly?
Not true. The first Twilight movie is still the best, and there was no any freaking triangle. The same I would say about the last movie, it is well done but previous events [triangle] took away sparkles from it.
Many of twihaters said they hate triangle, and I agree with them, only I still am Twilights love story fan.
And I prefer Edwards look above Jacobs abs. You know, at my age girls prefer sexy boys over those with abs.

Unless you are stating your opinion, it easily could be your favorite movie. However New Moon was much more successful than Twilight. It even beat out Eclipse.
New Moon made more money and got more hate. It also was nominated for Razzies and got lower points from critics and IMDB moviesfans.
Permalink Reply by JJ on January 29, 2013 at 11:22pm ALL of the Twilight movies have gotten Razzies and extremely poor reviews from critics.
Except first one which was nominated for Saturn Award and Young Hollywood Award.
In my country critics gave Twilight four stars out of five. One year later New Moon got two plus very sneering comments.
You know, I think it was Twilight who build that passion for next film. Audience wanted to see Edward and Bella.
If Twilight was an indie, then New Moon was a blockbuster with great promotion. There were interviews and three trailers. There were great expectations but they became spongy. NM book is all about great love despite difficulties and but NM movie diminishes B&E love, making Jacob look like old childhood friend (which he wasn't) who has special bond with Bella and obviously would be better choice (which he isn't). Did you notice that they cut out Marcus seeing unusually strong bond between Bella and Edward? And how they replaced sweet birthdays gift from Edward with one from Jacob? No wonder Team Jacob outgrew after movie.
Did you notice how Twilight saga lost audiences love after NM?
Permalink Reply by JJ on January 29, 2013 at 11:32pm I think that the movie NM developed the actual relationship between Jacob and Bella that the book was not able to express. The reason that the book wasn't able to express it because Bella herself was in denial about it and since she is the one telling the story there relationship isn't as obvious. The movies give a third perspective that the books aren't able to do, in this case the movie is able to visibly show the connection between Jacob and Bella.
Meyers says that Bella falls in love with Jacob in NM (her words, not mine) so it is not the movie creating a bond that didn't really exist but rather it offering visually that it DOES exist.
