No Cullens. Just Jacob. What could have been.
Jacob:
I knew Bella as a child. We used to hang out all the time. Then her mom and dad divorced and I only saw her over the summer when she came to visit Charlie, her dad. Over the years she stopped coming though. I only felt as though I had lost a friend. I got over it and made new ones. Just yesterday I heard she was coming back. Charlie told Billy that her mom was getting remarried and that Bella thought it best to move back here for a while. All these feelings came flooding back. How we used to make mud pies together and when we got older we would walk on the beach together. I could not, could I? It's not possible. Everytime I heard Charlie speaking of Bella I became more tuned into his conversation or I got a weird feeling in my stomach. But still there was no possible way....at least I don't think there is. A few days later Charlie drove up to my house. I was not sure what he was doing here at first. Usually he calls before coming over but this visit was a surprise. I quickly understood why.
"Billy, Jake open up it's Charlie."
I struggeld off of my old worn down couch and opened the door. "Hiya Charlie...." She was just the way I remembered her, only more beautiful. I stood there, mouth gaping open for a second.
"Bella! Its been too long. Come in, come in." Billy said rollling in his weelchair to the door.
"Jake are you going to let me by or just keep standing there like a..."
I quickly cut Charlie off "No, no. Um. Sorry, I just..." I moved out of his and Bella's way. I could feel my face turning red and turned quickly.
"Im just kidding with you boy. No need to get all worked up."
"Right" I said almost unaudible.
:"Well." Billy said. "Are you going to say hi or just keep standing there?"
I quickly cleared my throat, feeling myself blushing again. "Hi Bella."
"Hi." she responded. At that moment i realized all these years I had been lying to myself. I was in love with Isabella Swan...

"Well..." Billy said. "Have a seat Bella. How have you been?"
"Good. I start school tomorrow...."
"Really?"
"Yep." Bella said awkwardly. It was silent for a few more minutes.
"Are you going to Forks High School?" I asked trying to break the silence.
"I think so. Right Charlie?"
"Yes you are"
"Is that where you go Jacob?" Bella suddenly asked.
"Um. No. I go to school here on the reservation. I hear Forks is a good school though." As I said that I could have sworn she looked dissappointed.
"Oh. I was hoping I would know at least one person there."
"Well it's not a very big school so you should be able to make friends fast" Charlie quickly added.
"Small schools usually mean that everyone knows everyone and that they all have known each other for years. I'm going to feel so out of place." Bella moaned.
"You should be fine." I interjected.
"Thanks" She mumbled.
"I think we should be headed home. It's been a long day for Bella and she has a big day tomorrow." Charlie said standing up from the couch. I stood up and walked to the door to open it for them.
"Right." Billy said heading towards the door. ""Well it was nice seeing you again Bella. I hope you have a good first day tomorrow."
"Thanks Billy." she said. "Jacob. I will see you around." It sounded more like a question than a statement.
"Uh yea sure." was all i could say.
"Ok then." Charlie said walking off our porch and towards his police car. "See you later Billy." He turned around. "You coming Bells?" It was not until then that i realized she was watching me as if she had something else to say.
"Yea. Sorry." She smiled at me and walked to Charlie's car.
"See you later." I yelled , not sure if she heard me, as she was getting into the car. I watched them drive off and went back inside. I shut and locked the door. "Dad, i'm going to go to bed."
"Ok Jake." He said as i started up the stairs. "Oh Jake?"
"Yes?"
"You know, you should invite Bella over sometime."
"Daaad...." I moaned.
"Son, it's obvious you like her. Plus she's new to Forks and she does not have any friends."
"Fine."
"So you are going to ask her over?"
"Sure. Sure." I said walking into my room. Was it really that obvious?

I layed down on my bed and looked around my small room as I started to slowly drift asleep thinking of Bella.
Riiiiinnng. Riiiinnng. Riiiiinnnggg.
"Ugh" I rolled over and turned off my alarm clock. "The first day of school." I groaned to myself. I got up five minutes later and grabbed someting to wear and hopped into the shower. Was last night all just a dream or is Bella really back? I got out of the shower, ran downstairs, and made some cereal. I finished eating in about ten minutes. I went back upstairs, brushed my teeth, fixed my hair somewhat, and got my stuff for school. As i was putting my shoes on my dad came out of his room.
"Have a good day Jake."
"I will try."
"Hey, you should invite Bella over tonight. We are having a cook out over at Harry's. She could come as your date." So it was not a dream...
"I'm sure she is already coming anyway dad. You know, Harry is one of Charlie's best friends too."
"Right. Well it was just a suggestion."
"Bye dad. I'm going to be late if i don't leave now."
"Bye Jake."
I walked out the door and to the end of the road to where I had to catch the bus. My two best friends Embry and Quil were already there waiting.

Thanks. I have been thinking about it. I'm just not really sure where to start. I have written a few short stories but I never finished them because I didn't think they were that good.
