Permalink Reply by Smitha on May 25, 2012 at 3:04am I agree with you,IWDAV:) Just when we thought Rob's 15 min were over,we learnt he's like a midnight sun; rising again. So I'd like to see him try out as many different roles as possible!
Permalink Reply by Caramella Dura on May 30, 2012 at 9:53am I don't see any comparison between the two series other than they were adapted to film from books. Period! The Hunger Games Trilogy was an excellent read but don't forget that it takes place in a dystopian universe.

It is a very dark and desperate story...a paranoid totalitarian gov't running the show, each "contestant" will be desperate themselves, to hang on to the life they earned in the second movie, because the only other choice they have is death. Rob's proposed role will be different from any of the characters played in Twilight. it's apples and oranges...you can't compare.
Permalink Reply by Smitha on May 26, 2012 at 2:31am On Wednesday, Robert Pattinson stepped out in support of Kristen Stewart and Rob’s BFF Tom Sturridge at the premiere of their film On the Road. Today, at Cannes Film Festival, Kristen and Tom repaid the favor at the world premiere of Rob’s new film Cosmopolis. I must say, Rob looks DASHING and that red dress: Kristen looks killer!

Rob and Kristen were also spotted inside the theater during the premiere, then leaving the premiere and heading to the after-party.
Earlier in the day, Robert Pattinson attended a photo call before the film’s premiere later today.

Permalink Reply by Smitha on May 30, 2012 at 1:33am Despite running rampant on the internet, it never quite sounded right that Robert Pattinson was up for the role of Finnick Odair in the Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire. Given that he’s had to fight so hard to get into different genres after Twilight, and to find a new audience, I couldn’t see him going right back into a YA adaptation, let alone a franchise. But USA Today went straight to the source, where Pattinson confirmed that he’s not going to be playing Finnick on-screen.
“I woke up this morning and saw all these things about me being cast in The Hunger Games,” Pattinson tells USA TODAY. “I was kind of curious for a second. So I called my agent.”
The response?
“My agent was like, ‘No,’ ” Pattinson reports.
“(My agent) was like no one’s going to offer you that part,” Pattinson says, breaking into a laugh. “I was like, thanks for the reassurance.”
Permalink Reply by Joy pinera on May 31, 2012 at 6:10am Robert Pattinson must be flying pretty high from his experience working with director David Cronenberg on hisCannes Film Festival debut Cosmopolis because the two are gearing up to work together on another film, Map To The Stars!
Speaking to The Playlist, David Cronenberg explained that he's been trying to get Map To The Stars off the ground for several years and that he approached Robert Pattinson with a certain role from the film and Pattinson agreed to take it!
"'Map To the Stars' is completely different [from 'Cosmopolis'], but it's very acerbic and satirical, it's a hard sell," Cronenberg explained. "I asked Rob if he would be interested in playing a particular role in it and he said yes, he would."
Pattinson previously discussed the re-team in his interview with the French magazine, Les InRockuptibles (translated by RPLife), saying "I'm filming another movie with Cronenberg but I don't know when he wants to start filming ... It will be his first shoot in the United States and he promises it's going to be very strange. The next two or three years are going to be crucial for me. It's now that everything happens."
Perhaps all the excitement surrounding Cosmopolis will help speed up the process for green-lighting the film.
Pattinson's also expected to star in a film called The Band, which centers on rocker Bob Dylan's old group, and he's attached to star in Mission: Blacklist and The Rover.
Permalink Reply by Joy pinera on May 31, 2012 at 6:21am Whoa! Hectic huh! No matter what character is there, we surely support it. This is a great proof of a man with great talent and dedication to his craft. Congratulations! He's really the MAN! :)

Hollywood heartthrob Robert Pattinson, who is normally a regular at the MTV Movie Awards won't be appearing this year despite Kristen Stewart presenting an award, but fear not guys and girl - it's been rumoured that shamed actor Charlie Sheen could be in attendance.
The ceremony, which will be hosted by British comedian Russell Brand, will miss 'Cosmopolis' star Rob at the event that will take place this weekend (June 3).
According to E! Online, Charlie is in the mix to introduce a segment that will honour party movies.
"Even though Charlie has cleaned up his act, he still has a sense of humour about his out-of-control days," a source told the website.
While a second insider said: "It's all going to be a really big party moment."
As previously reported, Kristen Stewart will be heading to the ceremony along with its other presenters that include Michael Fassbender, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield.
Sounds like it's going to be a great night – even without R-Pattz. Who do you think will come out triumphant? 'Bridesmaids' or 'The Hunger Games'? Both are up for eight awards.
