Shooting Stars (PG 13)
ChApTeR OnE: Teardrops…
“I can’t believe this!” I screamed. Tears ran down my face. Fast and hot.
“Stupid dirty liar!” I pushed passed him running out of the house.
“Bella wait!” He called after me.
I just kept running. I didn’t know where I was going but I didn’t care. He broke my heart. I trusted him and he broke my heart. I could feel it when I found out. I could feel the empty hole. I never felt anything like this before. I never felt so lost physically and emotionally. He’s gonna pay. Pay big time.
It was dark outside. They moon was whole above me and the stars twinkled. Why is it when I’m in pain the world isn’t?
I pushed through the trees not caring as blood trickled down my arms and legs. It was cold night and I was only wearing short shorts and a tank top. I had forgotten my jacket and cell phone at the jerks house. I couldn’t call my dad to pick me up. Where ever I was. I started to wander around blindly looking for a road. It was probably around 3:00 in the morning.
When I finally found one. I started walking. The cold air kind of felt good. My hair blew mindlessly through it. I breathed in. It still stung. He cheated on me with my best friend. I can’t believe Alice would do this. Alice Cullen of all people. I never should have trusted Jasper. I knew he was bad. Everyone told me he was bad news. But I didn’t care. I was in love with him. But now I know. He’s just like his sister Rosalie Hale. All snobby B’s.
As car pulled over beside me. A man in a black leather coat and blond hair tied up on a neck pony tail sat in the driver seat with a woman who had fiery red hair and crimson eyes. It was kind of strange. They both looked a lot alike with the paleness, blinding beauty and crimson eyes but yet different.
“Need a lift little girl?” When I heard that voice. It sent chills down my spine. His voice was deep. The kind that made you think that there was something wrong here.
I shook my head. “No.”
I left it at that and kept walking down the road. The man was bad. The car followed me about 20 meters. I stopped and it pulled up next to me again.
“Are you sure, sweet heart?” This time the woman spoke. There was no difference it there voices. They were both flat with no emotion attached to them. They sounded almost dead.
“I’m fine.” I said again. Quickening my pace.
But they still kept following me. That when I broke into a sprint down the road. I ran into something. Something cold and hard. I looked up to see the man.
“Hello, Bella. My name is James. I’m going to kill you.” He told me.
He then leaned in real close to my ear and whispered. “I’ll make it as painless as I can.” You could hear the smirk in his voice. The dead smirk.
My heart pumped with adrenaline. Fear washed over me. I tried not to show it. ‘Never show that you are afraid because fear is a weakness and anyone can sniff it out.’ My uncle once told me that. I didn’t believe him until now.
“Are you afraid, Bella?” James asked me.
I swallowed hard and shook my head. He circled me like he was looking for a right spot to start off. The I wondered where the woman was.
“Where’s the lady.” I asked him my voice shaky.
He looked at me still smiling and still circling me. “Oh, Victoria gone. She went to go get food for herself. I told you were mine.”
“Are you ready, Bella?”
“You smell appetizing.”
I took an unsteady breath. Was I really going to die like this? I figured differently though. Like I would die at the age of 91 sleeping in my bed. Not at 13 and in the middle of nowhere. I wasn’t really sure if the man would kill me. Most human boast about things they can’t even do. But when I looked at him deep flashing crimson eyes I knew this man meant business.
I saw him stop and smile again more profound now. He pounced at me and I shut my eyes tight not wanting to see him killing me. But then the seconds ticked by. 3 seconds, 5 seconds, 10 seconds and then finally it reached 30 seconds. I swear he would have at least made me bleed by now. Well, bleed more that I already have.
I slightly opened my eyes. That’s when I saw him. He was as pale as James and Victoria, as beautiful as them. No, more. But his eyes weren’t red they were honey golden. It made my insides melt just to look at him. Who was he? This angel.
“Your safe now Bella.” He told me and I believed him. I believed him to the fullest.
I nodded at him. “Who are you?”
He smiled at me warmly. It sent shrills down my body. “I’m Edward Cullen.”
He looked at the ground and I followed his gaze. James lay there crippled. He almost looked dead. I think he was.
“You…You did that?” I asked in shock.
He grinned at me again. My heart skipped a beat. “Yeah.”
His face then turned consented. “Are you alright?” He asked eyeing my elbows and knee’s.
I nodded. “Just a couple of scrapes.”
After that everything went black. I could feel cool arms wrapped around me. I tried opening my eyes but they wouldn’t obey. It suddenly got cold. Colder than before. But I felt awkwardly safe.
“Edward.” I whispered.
“Shhh…” He told me.
“You’re tired. Sleep.”
And then I drowned in the current of exhaustion.

ChApTeR nInE: What???!!...
I woke up I don’t know how long after from when I had become unconscious. It was very bright (the room I was in). My eyes fluttered for a moment and then I could see. I mean really see. As if someone had replaced my eyes with better, newer, fresher ones. And I could smell everything. Even taste the air. It smelled like mold and chlorine. How strange. But also lovely in a way.
I jumped up from the thing I was laying on. I soon figured out it was a cot. I looked around the place and quickly I recognized it. It was an old abandoned factory at the very west part of town. The country side. It used to be a manufacturing company once before it got shut down by the government because they weren’t making their monthly income. So business got canceled. Place got shut down and everybody forgot about it. Easy as that.
The place was box like. Almost like a duplicate of our school because it to used to be a factory before being transferred into a learning facility. The walls were grey made from cement. It seemed dull and unappealing. Plastic curtains were everywhere. I think dividing the area into rooms. It was quiet. A little too quiet.
After a while of looking around I wondered why I was here. I could hear noises from across the room so I followed it. For some reason I didn’t feel scared or anxious at whom was here in this neglected place with me. For some reason I felt scared for the person I was about to meet.
There was a plastic curtain separating me from the stranger. Roughly I pulled it aside and there standing in front of me was Alice.
She turned slowly to the sounds I was making and smiled. “You’re awake.”
I did not smile back. “Where am I?”
“You don’t ask the right questions, Bella.” She shook her head in disappointment. “Be wise about your information.”
“Where am I?” I repeated ignoring her statements.
Alice sighed and sat on the table behind her. It was made out of birch bark wood and looked pretty sturdy. “You’re at Hay Lin Corporation known as HLC.”
“Why am I here?” I continued the questions with a straight face.
Alice continued the answers her emotions undisturbed. “Because it’s the only safe place left.”
She snorted. “Don’t you remember anything that happened three days ago? Me at your house?”
My lips pursed. I did remember but I wasn’t sure what it had to do with the fact that I am here is this dusty old place. “I do.”
“Wait. Three days ago?” I requested in shock.
She nodded. “Then you should know.” Alice jumped off the table and continued what she was doing.
I spotted a couple of containers at her hand three cups. “I don’t get it.”
She sighed once more and turned to face me. “Ok, I was at your house, remember?”
Alice did not wait for me to answer her but continued on. “You found out I was a vampire and started to panic. So I fixed you. Also I was thirsty.”
I looked at her strangely. “What do you mean you ‘fixed’ me?”
She grunted. “You’re very slow for an extremely bright person. You know what I am right? Well that’s what you are now.” She said those words as if she was talking to a mere child who did not understand much at his/her age.
I gasped. “You…you…you changed me?” Shock took it course across my face. I was disgusted. How could my best friend do this to me?
Alice nodded simply and turned back to her work.
“So why am I not hungry? Or what ever you call it.”
This time she talked with her back to me. “It’s not a hunger but a thirst…” Paused and thought for a while. “…or maybe it could be. But I don’t know much. I’m going by what James told us.”
“You are thirsty but since you are more focused of other things right now it’s hidden in the back of your mind. Also your body is full of your human blood so you won’t need to feed for a couple of hours. As a result you’re good for now.”
“So, what now?” I sighed and slumped down on the floor.
Alice shrugged. “I was hoping to go to someone for help. Another vampire I mean. Someone experienced.”
“Who?” I asked out of curiosity.
She smiled. “I know.” She then threw me a bag. “Here put this on. I got it from your closet before I left with you. We’ll go back to get some more stuff if we need to.”
I looked inside the shopping bag. There was a bunch of clothes and a pair of shoes. “Ok. Where are we going exactly?”
“I’ll tell you when we get there. Just put that on.”
I did as I was told. When I was done I realized that Alice was wearing some of my stuff. “Really?” I said with a smirk. My mood lifted.
“I needed them. Plus I didn’t have time to go home.” She retorted.
I nodded understanding and we walked out of the factory. There in front of the door stood a yellow porche.
“What is that?” I asked in awe.
“Our transportation for now.” She replied with a grin.
I climbed in after her. And Alice turned on the engine. “Where did you get it?”
“You ask too many questions.” Was her only reply back and with that we were speeding off the dusty road and made an exit to the high way.
The spring air smelled fresh. It must have rained last night because the air smelled damp and moist. It was very interesting. Even though it was spring the sun shown like none other day. Alice had put the hood up so I didn’t get to notice it much. I asked her why she did so but she told me she’ll tell me later.
It took us about 45 minutes to get to where ever we were going to. We turned off at an intersection and continued down a narrow road. Trees surrounded us. But soon we reached a yard. There was a huge house in front of the car. It was white and grand. Windows and doors bigger that I was.
We got out of the car and walked towards the double doors. The sun was not shining anymore but hidden behind grey clouds. It looked as if it were going to rain once more.
Alice knocked lightly on the door. Three light raps. Exactly 3 seconds later the door creaked open and a head full of blond hair stuck out.
“What?” The girl asked impolitely. “Oh, it you.”
Alice in return gave her a ‘whatever’ smile. “Hey, Rosalie I need to talk to you.”
Rosalie looked around us and then opened the door fully. “You know he’s mad, right? I mean, I don’t get why but he’s off the charts.”
Alice nodded. “Well, we weren’t here to talk to him.”
Rosalie rose and eyebrow. “Me? You’ve got to be kidding me. Do you know how angry he’ll get if he catches us talking? No!”
“Come one, Rose. Do this for me. Please.”
Edward’s sister rolled her eyes and then sighed in defeat. “Ok. But not here. He’ll recognize your scent. Let’s go into the woods. We have more privacy there. Hopefully.”
She stepped out and we walked down the pathway to the woods. I felt kind of comforted with the tree’s surrounding me. I felt at home. Safe.
“Alright, what do what do you want?” Rosalie questioned her arms crossed over her chest.
Alice pointed at me. I was standing there perplexed.
Rosalie eyes grew wide. “Oh. My. Goodness, Alice. Why?”
Alice shrugged in return. “I didn’t want to do this alone. I know you might think that I’m selfish but I’m not. I couldn’t leave, Bella. Edward would hurt her.” She paused to take a breath then continued. “I mean. I don’t know. I don’t understand him anymore. Is he in love with her or not?”
“No…No…What happened to her hair?!” Rosalie touched my hair lightly and took out a twig.
Alice gave her the look. “I’m serious, Rose.”
“So am I.”
I decided to step in. “Okay, I know you both are in the middle of something but I need an explanation. What’s up with, Edward? Is there something wrong with him?”
Alice and Rosalie looked at each other then at me. Rosalie sighed. “Follow me. I’m going to have to take the risk.”
We walked towards the house and inside. Then upstairs to an enormous room. It was four times the size of my living room.
“Sit.” Edward’s sister ordered me.
I did so.
“Okay. Listen carefully because I’m only going to say this once. I’m going to tell you about how this all started. Explain why Edward’s been avoiding you, how he met you in the woods that night about a year ago and what’s up with this vampire thing you’re apparently a part of.” Rosalie continued.
Alice then finished off for her. “You may ask question in between but keep it to a minimum. We want to do this as fast as we can. And it looks like you’re running out of fuel. Alright?”
I nodded and the explanation began.
Quote: “You take a risk with every step you make in life. But always wondering; what keeps you going? Knowing that in the end it’s all worth the try.”

Don't post this if it isn't finished, in the completed section, that made me mad, and your story needs some grammar fixes, and they story line? I'm a little more than confused. You leave annoying cliffhangers. Sorry if this sounds rude, but I didn't want to have to deal with all of this.
