Train of Shadows
Twilight Relation: There are vampires in the other {Shadow} realm.
*Plot*
Once there was a world known to many; Its name was Earth. This world thrived and prospered, and many watched as it mantained life over the course of millions of years. The most sucessful species, humans, ruled the land with no fear. However, they forgot one thing.
They were not the only ones that existed in this universe.
There once was a small town huddled in a hillside in England. Not many people bothered with or knew about that town, but it was a nice and peaceful place to live at. There was green grass and meadows as far as the eye could see. There was also bright forests that lined the horizon, and a large hill where one could watch the sunset as the vibrant colors cascaded over the twilight sky. There was a creek that ran through the forest, and provided a source of water to the people in the town. The forest contained many twists and turns of old, worn out, and downtrodden paths. Old rusted train tracks cut through the forest, and an abandoned railroad station stood on the borderline of the forest.
14 year old, Chisa Inira, has always wanted to see a train pass through the old tracks, but her mother had to remind her that the last time a train passed through was over a century ago. One day, Chisa and a few of her friends decide to play down by the railroad tracks. They began to throw a ball back and forth, playing a game of catch. They squeal in laughter. Everything seems like a perfect evening, but it becomes a nightmare in a second. The breeze picks up and the trees start to sway. Chisa throws on her jacket and calls it quits, but a loud whistle screeched in the distance. "Run!" Chisa screamed, and her and her friends stumbled off the railroad. A shadowy train appeared, riding the tracks like a creature prowling in the darkness.
This train was like no else. The whistle sounded once more, and ghostly dark smoke blew from the pipe at the top.
It was indeed, a train made from darkness and shadows. A train that may change Chisa and her friends life forever.

*Important Notes*
-The shadow train leads into an alternate realm much like earth, however, the people who inhabit this place are shadows/spirits.
-Upon entering the shadow realm, you cannot re-enter the train back to earth unless you find the key.
-All shadow people resemble something specific.
-Staying with shadow people or mingling with them can slowly make you one as well.
-After entering the realm, you must look for a key that unlocks the train door. Without this key, there is no hope of ever returning.
-Shadow people don't have names, but when they shape-shift to humans, they use an alias.
-Some of the shadow people can take forms of regular humans, vampires, or animals, watch out!

Bio: As a young girl, Chisa had always been interested in the stars and the moon. She had always wondered if there was another place out there besides Earth. Her parents discouraged her interests and studies, but she persisted with them anyways. After moving to her current town, she had become more interested in the old train tracks, and had always longed for a train to pass through. Her parents still discouraged her, never the less, but the flames in her eyes were never distinguished.
Personality: She's very childish, despite her age. She always complains when things don't go her way, and she loves to be the boss of things. She can be very clumsy at times, and bad at decision making, but that doesn't mean she can't be loving and caring. She finds her friends precious, and would do anything to save or help them.

Bio: Esther was always a curious girl, and she always one to believe that there was more that just them, humans. There had to be other things out there too. She loves to read, especially about myths and legends, which even spiked her belief in the supernatural and other things even more.
Her parents always encouraged her imagination, but they never knew that she was interested in the train tracks, and they'd rather she wasn't.
Personality: She's a cheerful kind of girl, but he mood can change. She can be pretty distant and quite shy, and she only trusts certain people

Bio: Kaito's parents died in an accident 7 years ago. His older brother, Shin, is the one who takes care of him. Even as a kid he had a huge imagination. Ghosts, other dimensions, pirates,romance, you name it. Kaito would always tell stories that he came up with to his parents. His parents, being fiction writers, encouraged his imagination. However, his brother did not. Once their parents died, Shin didn't allow Kaito to say any more of his 'stories' and instead got him to play violin. Kaito loves playing the violin and is one of the few things he is very serious about. Kaito has always been curious about the train tracks, but not as much as the others.
Personality: Kaito is a very loud, bright and happy guy. He is very simple-minded and finds a lot of things to be fascinating. He has a lot of energy... too much actually. He could run around for hours and not get tired. It's practically impossible to make him mad. He's always smiling and forgiving to anyone who does his wrong. Kaito comes off as a careless fool a lot. He does have his sweet moments and hates it when people are sad- especially if it's someone he cares about. He is very protective of the ones he loves. Kaito is very imature sometimes and is always scolded by his older brother. Nobody has ever seen this kid cry or get mad.

Friend or foe of the humans?: Nobody knows. She acts like their friend sometimes but sometimes doesn't.
Backstory/History: Aya hardly remembers anything about her past. She doesn't know wether she died or if she stayed with the shadows too long. All she knows for sure is that she was human. Sometimes she has small flashbacks of her past. However it's usually small things like her being in a room (which she thinks was her bedroom) and two people arguing. She doesn't try to know more about her past. She loves anything black and usually comes off as a distant, shady, and dark person, which is one of the reasons people don't usually approach her.

Name: Alec Morgen
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Bio: Growing up, Alec was always a trickster and was very rarely serious. He loved to read Sci Fi stories and comic books, constantly marveling and wishing that he could be in one of those stories, coming alive as one of the characters and living a seperate life in another world. His mother discouraged the idea of his fantasies, but his father always patted him on the back, urging him to keep dreaming. Because, as his father said, dreams have strange ways of coming alive. When he heard the story of the Shadow Train, he was instantly amused and tagged along with Chisa to go to the train tracks.
Personality: He laughs at a lot, makes inappropriate jokes everynow and then, and often smiles to the point where it's contagious. He wouldn't harm a fly, and often trusts others to easily. He's kind, sweet, although his manners could be better...

Backstory/History: Gweneth, unfortunately, doesn't remember any of her past life. Occasionally, she'll see images of bits and pieces of her childhood, but not enough to piece together anything important. Though she tries not to think of her past of the way she died, it constantly weighs in the back of her mind, beckoning her to discover more about herself. Gweneth tends to have a rude nature, which most likely keys back to her past. Because of being a vampire, it's hard for her to stay near humans for a long time. She wants to, sure, but most of them decide to stay away because of her aggressive nature and thirst for blood.

Back story/History: Unlike most shadows, Vincent remembers most of his past. He knows he was human, and that he had a younger sister. While being human, he cared for his sister a lot and often became too overly protective over her. His mother was diagnosed with tuberculosis and unfortunately died when he was a mere nine and his sister only seven. After his mother’s death, he became rude, sharp-tongued, and didn’t care for his sister as much as he should have at the time. His father was at a loss of what to do about Vincent, as he was hanging out with the wrong people and being in the wrong places. His father would strictly tell him to not hang out with those people or to not talk back to him as Vincent did so often, but Vince refused and continued to be rude and argumentative. He took the train to the Shadow Realm one breezy night and hung out with the shadows for too long, thus turning into one himself. Now, with the influence of other shadows, he hates humans, regrets being human, and hates to be near them. He’d much rather do without them in the Shadow Realm.

Backstory/History: Remarkably, Angelica remembers how she died and what her life as a human was like, but she hates that life and wished it was never there. She recalled the many times she would be hurt in school from insults and terrible comments, and she recalled the time when she was so mad that she took her anger out on her pet rabbit by beating. She ended up killing the rabbit, and she never forgave herself. She remembered when her little brother would scream and cry at her for hurting the rabbit. One day, she went down to the lake, where she boarded the local train. Sadly, the train crashed, and the passengers were all dead, including Angelica. What she saw before she died – was a black rabbit.
She can be very energetic and hyper, and she loves to cause trouble and hurt others. She also whines a lot and asks questions frequently. She also has a hard time staying on task, and she rambles on most of the time. She also is very childish, and loves candy.

Backstory/History: Nobody could tell that he is a bad guy by his friendly smile. As a human, he was born into an rich family. He has perfect manners and is considered to be a very charming and friendly guy. He really is, but not to humans. He hates humans more than anything. Why? He envies them. As a human he wasted his life in doing nothing but please his family. Being the only heir to his families bussiness was not a good thing for him. He never experienced any fun and hardly went outside. One day, when his parents when his parents were gone, the house burst into flames. Axel had no time to escape and died in that fire. Nobody knows who caused it but it is certain that it was intentional. Axel remembers his past very clearly and has a big fear of fire.

Backstory/History: Amaya is Ichirou’s older sister, but only by two years. By the time Ichirou turned five, Amaya had a strange, almost eerie, obsession with him. She would constantly have to be by his side, rarely letting him play with his friends. She wanted him to be hers, and only hers. She would do anything to have him, even if it involved killing someone. After Ichirou’s death, Amaya couldn’t take the world without him in her life, and so she committed suicide. She is now the conductor for the train, and still has an obsession with him. One thing that she wouldn’t do, however, is tell Ichirou his past.

Backstory/History: As a young child, Atticus was abandoned by his birth parents, and sent to an orphanage. This was mainly because his parents did not want him, not because of any disorders. He grew up there, but was always more violent than the other children. He made fun with dead animals that he found on the side of the street. He once brought a dead baby bird back to the orphanage to scare the other children. He was always described as morbid, downright insane, and sadistic. He was so mentally unstable that no one ever adopted him. At around age twelve, he began to go completely crazy. He was like this because he thought that no one would ever love him. At age sixteen, he committed suicide. Ever since then, he has lived in the shadow realm, and has been mentally corrupt, but manages to keep a low and steady profile there.

Yes! She had been able to lure the poor vampire onto the roller coaster cart. Snap! Just as she had jumped onto the cart in rage, Angelica quickly used her hind legs to jam down the lever. She smiled, and transformed fittingly into a human. She stifled a laugh, and looked at Gweneth, They were flying full speed of a dizzying rollercoaster, standing on the carts as if it was normal to do so instead of sit. She resumed her stance, and beckoned the extremely angry Gweneth towards her, although she could see the anger slowly fizzle down and turn quickly into mad fear, as they zoomed through on the tracks.
Chisa-
"I'd hate to have to fight on a moving rollercoaster." Chisa remarked, watching as Gweneth and Angelica sped down the tracks, standing, even as they were going down dramatic and intense drops. She looked on in awe at the skills that they required and were using right now. Blinking twice, she rubbed her eyes and wished for this magnificent nightmare to vanish out of her life and the life of her friends.

Axel grinned at Ichirou obviously amused that he took the deal so easily. He kind of expected him to "I'm always true to my word." he said simply. He decided that he shouldn't fight him with all of his might right away. That might tire him out. So he decided to go slowly at this. With his hands still in his pockets, he brought his leg up aimed it at Ichirou's face. Of course, since Ichirou was so ready to block his move, there was no doubt in his mind that Ichirou would be able to block his first move. Axel's plan was to test Ichirou's strength first, then determine wether or not he should give it his all in this fight.

Mei laughed "Of course you say you will let it slide. Worms like you don't have a backbone." She raised an eyebrow at him, clearly annyoed to have been called 'dumb' "Didn't your mother teach you any manners? You should never speak to a lady like that." She stopped when she heard Alec behind her and looked over at him, making sure not to take her attention from Vincent. "Are you-" she was going to say 'Are you sure? Then you won't hold me responsible for your deaths, correct?' but she stopped when she noticed Alec's pleading eyes. "I want to fight." she said as she turned back to Vincent. She smiled sweetly at him as she spoke "To be honest, I've never really liked you." she sais, sounding harsh and cold "It'll be an pleasure to see you take your last breathe. Oh and don't worry, it won't have to come to that. I'll kill you before you get the chance to hear me scream." She looked away obviously bored with their conversation "In fact, since I'm such a merciful and kind soul, I'll kill you fast so you wont feel any pain. Okay?" She giggled." You should consider yourself lucky, though. I'll be the last being you will ever see again. At least you're last dying image will be a shadow with grace and intellegence, something you will never achieve."

Gweneth gulped as Angelica pushed down the lever. She knew that she was being foolish with her decisions, but she didn't expect her decisions to be this bad. Stay low to the cart. That way, if Angelica attacks, there will be a smaller chance that Gweneth would trip and falling from the cart. In one swift movement Gweneth slid into the seat of the cart, kicking Angelica hard in the shin with her pointed heels. "You can't get rid of me so easily, brat," she sneered, grinning as Angelica nearly tripped from the force of impact. Just stay low, and you won't get hurt. All Gweneth would have to do is remind herself that and not show her fear. Though each time the rollercoaster sped downwards her stomach nearly jumped from her mouth, she made her screams die in her throat.

"Actually, she did," Vincent responded, memories flashing through his mind of his mother reprimanding him for being rude to his father. He shrugged the memories off and smiled. "But she died of tuberculosis when I was nine, so I began to forget." He let out an amused hiss at what Alec said, and shrugged a shoulder as if saying "whatever" in response to Mei. "I never really liked you either, so I guess we have that in common." He chuckled. "Yes, because a weakling like you will very easily be able to kill me. You may be pretty, I'll give you that, but you most certainly can't hold your all in a fight." He was getting bored of the conversation, and his next move was rude, even for him. He kicked Mei's legs out from under her, making her fall to the pavement, and stood over top of her, grinning. "Are you so sure that you'll win?"

As soon as Vincent tripped Mei, Alec had an urge to stand up and shove him. He didn't like guys who so easily pushed a lady around, even if they were shadows and not human. They were human once, correct? Did Vincent do such things when he was human? He bit his lip and held back his anger, looking back at Kaito. "Right, they'd have a lesser chance of winning if we interfered." He looked to the rollercoaster and flinched. He was worried about everyone, that was evident by his tensed posture and facial expressions.

Ichirou-
Ichirou smiled. Just as he wanted. Defensively, Ichirou blocked his kick, and slid to the side, before rushing in from an angle, using his flat hands to attempt to knock him off his balance. The force in his hit wasn't that hard, for it was just what he wanted. Toying with the hound for a while would make him easily become bored, thus giving Ichirou an edge in the deal, or so he hoped. He leapt from his position, and brought his foot down on Axel's shoulder, trying to shock or stun him for a few seconds to delay his movements.
Angelica-
Angelica let out a few swear words, and grimaced in pain at the pointed heel hit her shin. She smiled sadistically, and stuck her tongue out. She used launched at her and turned into a rabbit, and scratched her across the stomach with sharpened nails. She leapt back and transformed back into a human, carefully regaining her balance on the shaky cart. She noticed that the rollercoaster had finished its first run, but it kept going. She had remembered to jam the handle down so it could not spring back up. She sighed in relief, and narrowed her eyes, ready for Gweneth's cry of pain and her next move.

Chisa watched as the brutal fights began. She noted that they all made use of their arms and leg, besides calling upon their animal forms (Well, besides Angelica.) She jumped back in shock as Vincent tripped Mei. She didn't want the snake to sink his fangs into her, nor did he want either or any of them to be hurt. She put her hands on her head and closed her eyes tightly. "Then why don't we help them!" She burst out.

Axel was shoked to see Ichirou fighting skills. He could tell that Ichirou held back on him with his moves just now. He smirked, so it was going to be a challenge... perfect. He was thrown off balance, just for a few seconds though. He bent down, trying to regain his composture. "So... that's how you fight." He then stood up straight and charged at him. He swiftly kicked Ichirou's left leg and moved to his right side and kicked him hard on the back.
Mei let out a small gasp as she hit the floor. She most certainly did not expect that. It took her a second to recollect her mind. She looked up at him, her face showed a hint of suprise. She then laid back so that she was laying down and began to laugh "Oh... Now I'm definitely certain that I can beat such a worthless weakling like you!" she said through laughter. Afer a few seconds she slowly controlled herself and coughed "Oh you're so funny, Vincent." she bent her legs and moved them to her chest, before letting them out, kicking him on his legs just enought for him to step back. Then she quickly stood up and punched him in the stomach, knocking the air out of him. "How sad, I'm sure your mom would have been dissapointed to have such a coward of a son like you." she spat.
Kaito frowned when Vincent kicked Mei. Kaito hated it when men hit women, for whatever reason. He could tell that Alec wanted to shove Vincent, and he didn't blame him. He wanted to punch that guy for doing that to a girl, depsite them being a demon or not. He looked at Chisa "There's nothing we can do." he said his hands balled up into fists. He was trembling with anger. He wanted to help. He wanted to help them all, but he was just human. He has never hated being so weak before.

It's a good thing I have cat-like reflexes. The cat was on the ledge of my stairs, and just as I heard a crash, I made my way towards the stairs and began to make my way up them. Perfect timing, too, because a picture frame was knocked over by her and I had to jump to get it. ;_; Cats.-
Gweneth grimaced as her shirt tore where Angelica scratched her. She was beginning to bleed, but she bit down on her lip hard to ignore the pain. "I liked this shirt," she snapped, standing upright and slamming herself into Angelica, knocking her off balance so that she was half in half out of the cart. "I liked it a lot, actually." She kneed Angelica in the shin and dug her heels into her feet, glaring. She wasn't going to let fear or pain get in the way of not winning this fight. By now, the edge of the cart was bound to be digging painfully into Angelica's back, and the thought made Gweneth grin.

Vincent bent over slightly to regain his breath, before wiping his mouth and grinning, regaining his composure. "You should know better then to talk about one's dead mother in a fight," he responded, kicking her in the ribs. "You should also know that it's foolish to continue to fight me." And with those words, he kicked her once more, with much more force behind the kick. He laughed, and nearly sent a shiver down his own spine. He was cruel, and he knew that, but could this be considered going overboard?

Alec stood up and ran a hand through his hair, clearly frustrated. "We'd just screw something up by trying to do something. It would end up bad." Though, it already looked bad. He wanted to beat the crap out of Vincent at the moment, but if he did, the consequences would be worse for him. He wouldn't easily be able to dodge a kick or a punch. He would most likely end up not being able to do any harm to Vincent, anyway. Still, he wanted to try. He walked closer to Kaito and Chisa and whispered, "I take what I said back. I want to beat the crap out of him, but I know I probably can't. Still, we can at least shove him out of the way to give Mei the advantage, right?"

Mei bent down with her hands over her stomach. Ouch... that stupid snake sure wasn't holding back on her. She let out a strained laugh "You underestimate me." she said standing up straight and looking at him. "I'd rather kill myself than let you beat me in a fight. Imagine how horrible that would be for my ego." She looked down at her dress, already soiled with dirt. She smoothed down her dress and her hair. She kicked him in the chest, causing him to fall, then she went and stood over him and stomped her foot down on his shoulder, with the power she could possibly muster. She heard a satisying crack from his shoulder when she did that and couldn't help but smile. "You ruined my dress and messed up my hair." she said, clearly pissed.
Kaito looked at Mei and Vincent. Sure, right now Mei seemed to have an advantage but he had a feeling that Vincent wasn't going to go down that easily. He turned to Alec and nodded "Yeah, I'm with you. We have to at least try. We might not be able to cause any real damage to him but it might help Mei beat that guy to a pulp." he said grinning at the mere thought of it.

Vincent heard an unwelcoming crack coming from his shoulder, and winced in pain. "Yeah? Well, have fun dealing with that, because I'm about to ruin your spine," he snapped, shoving her foot off of his shoulder and standing back up, swinging his leg until his foot met her back, sending her to the ground. He bent down and kneeled on her back, brushing back her hair to look at her face. "See, now when you go and be cocky, you never win, now do you?" he asked her, brutally digging his knee down into her spine.

Alec nodded his head in response and grinned back at him. It was always nice to know when a friend had the same idea as you, and hated someone just as much as you hated that someone. "Good, because that guy is honestly pissing me off beyond belief. I mean, I just said 'pissing'. How many times have you heard me say that? Twice? I have to be pretty fed up to say that." He glanced back at Mei and Vincent and winced. That didn't look like a fun spot to be in. "What should we do? Just shove him out of the way?"

Mei closed her eyes tightly and let out a wince. However, she wanted to scream. She would never give him the satisfaction of hearing her scream. She bit down on her bottom lip hard, drawing the tinyest bit of blood. She could feel his knee dig into her spine. If he continues any longer hes going to end up splitting her spine in two. She opened her eyes and forced a smile "T-too bad Vincent. It doesn't seem like you will be able to hear me scream like you wanted to. Even if you break my spine I'll crawl over and kill you. Then when I'm done with you I'm going to throw you in that thrash can over there, where you belong."
Kaito clenched his teeth and he watched what was going on. "Yeah, let's shove him. But if were going to do it we have to do it now of he'll break her!" He has honestly never been this angry before and he has certainly never wanted to beat up some as much as he had wanted to beat up Vincent. What made it worse, he felt responsible for Mei's pain. It was apparent on her face that she wanted to scream and cry from the pain she was in.

Ichirou felt the pain from Axel's blows spread quickly through his body. He fell to one knee, and coughed out blood. He grinned as he watched the crimson liquid splated on the ground. How disgusting to grin at my own pain, he thought, and popped right back up, wiping the blood from his chin. "Damn, I guess I underestimated you, foxy." He laughed, and ran towards him, punching him in the gut. He swung his left leg out and side kicked him in his right thigh. Ichirou then jumped backwards, to avoid any countering.
Angelica-
"To bad, its ruined now." Angelica said, but screamed and stumbled backwards, and felt the heel of Gweneth's boot tear into her skin (Note that she was wearing sandals.), and draw a satisfying amount of blood from her. She was almost off the edge of the cart, and her foot hurt like hell. Good thing she was fluent in what the humans called 'martial arts'. She jumped in the air, saving herself from the edge, but at the same time, she swung her uninjured leg over her own head and brought it down hard on Gweneth's shoulder, ripping it downwards down her whole body. She didn't have the heels to pierce her like Gweneth did, but she sure had the force to make it hurt.
Chisa-
Chisa was about to rush into the battle between Mei and Vincent, and at least do something to Vincent as to give Mei an advantage. Or at least a tiny one. "Let's all go in there together, and drive a punch or shove him altogether. It will be a much harder force then just one at a time, and plus, it could buy Mei much more time." She decided, looking at the others with patient eyes, in hopes that they would agree with her strategy. She looked over to the fight. They must do something quick, or else it would be too late.

Axel looked at Ichirou with a confused look on his face. That has got to be the only guy that actually smiled when they get bled. How strange. He heard a scream come from Angelica and quickly looked over at where Gweneth and Angelica were fighting, ready to strike Gweneth in case Angelica was in trouble. Thankfully, Angelica seems to have taken control of the situation for now. Wait, what was he doing worrying about Angelica? He needs to take care of his own battle. Losing focus is one of the worst things you can do in this situation! .... And he was right. Due to the fact that he became distracted, Ichirou was easily able to land those blows on him. He was so stupid enough to let his guard down that he fell to his knees when Ichirou kicked him. He strained to regain his breathe, but thankfully Ichirou jumped back or else he would have had him then and there. He stood up with a groan, his leg hurting like crazy. "Stupid cat." he said. He charged at him once again and jumped just few inches away from him. He brought his left leg and slammed it against Ichirou's right side, knocking him sideways. When he was at the ground, Axel brought his leg back and shot it at Ichirou's stomach two times with great force. "What's so funny?" he asked while he kicked him.

Kaito nodded at Chisa's idea. "That sounds good! Let's all charge at him at the same time and shove him with as much force as we can." He had his eyes set on Vincent. This guy was downright sadistic. Did he have no limits? Kaito has never seen anyone so... brutal. Was he actually enjoying doing this to Mei? Was he really planning on crushing her spine? Just because she was protecting them?
