The Twilight Saga

Twilight Relation: There are vampires in the other {Shadow} realm.

*Plot*

Once there was a world known to many; Its name was Earth.  This world thrived and prospered, and many watched as it mantained life over the course of millions of years. The most sucessful species, humans, ruled the land with no fear.  However, they forgot one thing.

They were not the only ones that existed in this universe.

There once was a small town huddled in a hillside in England.  Not many people bothered with or knew about that town, but it was a nice and peaceful place to live at. There was green grass and meadows as far as the eye could see. There was also bright forests that lined the horizon, and a large hill where one could watch the sunset as the vibrant colors cascaded over the twilight sky.  There was a creek that ran through the forest, and provided a source of water to the people in the town.  The forest contained many twists and turns of old, worn out, and downtrodden paths. Old rusted train tracks cut through the forest, and an abandoned railroad station stood on the borderline of the forest.

14 year old, Chisa Inira, has always wanted to see a train pass through the old tracks, but her mother had to remind her that the last time a train passed through was over a century ago. One day, Chisa and a few of her friends decide to play down by the railroad tracks. They began to throw a ball back and forth, playing a game of catch. They squeal in laughter. Everything seems like a perfect evening, but it becomes a nightmare in a second. The breeze picks up and the trees start to sway. Chisa throws on her jacket and calls it quits, but a loud whistle screeched in the distance. "Run!" Chisa screamed, and her and her friends stumbled off the railroad. A shadowy train appeared, riding the tracks like a creature prowling in the darkness.

This train was like no else. The whistle sounded once more, and ghostly dark smoke blew from the pipe at the top.

It was indeed, a train made from darkness and shadows. A train that may change Chisa and her friends life forever.

"Ticket, Please."

*Important Notes*

-The shadow train leads into an alternate realm much like earth, however, the people who inhabit this place are shadows/spirits.

-Upon entering the shadow realm, you cannot re-enter the train back to earth unless you find the key.

-All shadow people resemble something specific.

-Staying with shadow people or mingling with them can slowly make you one as well.

-After entering the realm, you must look for a key that unlocks the train door. Without this key, there is no hope of ever returning.

-Shadow people don't have names, but when they shape-shift to humans, they use an alias.

-Some of the shadow people can take forms of regular humans, vampires, or animals, watch out!

Name: Chisa Inira

Age: 14

Gender: Female

Bio: As a young girl, Chisa had always been interested in the stars and the moon. She had always wondered if there was another place out there besides Earth. Her parents discouraged her interests and studies, but she persisted with them anyways. After moving to her current town, she had become more interested in the old train tracks, and had always longed for a train to pass through. Her parents still discouraged her, never the less, but the flames in her eyes were never distinguished.

Personality: She's very childish, despite her age. She always complains when things don't go her way, and she loves to be the boss of things. She can be very clumsy at times, and bad at decision making, but that doesn't mean she can't be loving and caring. She finds her friends precious, and would do anything to save or help them.

Name: Kaito Nakamura

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Bio: Kaito's parents died in an accident 7 years ago. His older brother, Shin, is the one who takes care of him. Even as a kid he had a huge imagination. Ghosts, other dimensions, pirates, romance, you name it. Kaito would always tell stories that he came up with to his parents. His parents, being fiction writers, encouraged his imagination. However, his brother did not. Once their parents died, Shin didn't allow Kaito to say any more of his 'stories' and instead got him to play violin. Kaito loves playing the violin and is one of the few things he is very serious about. Kaito has always been curious about the train tracks, but not as much as the others.

Personality: Kaito is a very loud, bright and happy guy. He is very simple-minded and finds a lot of things to be fascinating. He has a lot of energy... too much actually. He could run around for hours and not get tired. It's practically impossible to make him mad. He's always smiling and forgiving to anyone who does his wrong. Kaito comes off as a careless fool a lot. He does have his sweet moments and hates it when people are sad- especially if it's someone he cares about. He is very protective of the ones he loves. Kaito is very imature sometimes and is always scolded by his older brother. Nobody has ever seen this kid cry or get mad.

Friend or foe of the humans?: Nobody knows. She acts like their friend sometimes but sometimes doesn't.

Backstory/History: Aya hardly remembers anything about her past. She doesn't know wether she died or if she stayed with the shadows too long. All she knows for sure is that she was human. Sometimes she has small flashbacks of her past. However it's usually small things like her being in a room (which she thinks was her bedroom) and two people arguing. She doesn't try to know more about her past. She loves anything black and usually comes off as a distant, shady, and dark person, which is one of the reasons people don't usually approach her.

Name: Alec Morgen

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Bio: Growing up, Alec was always a trickster and was very rarely serious. He loved to read Sci Fi stories and comic books, constantly marveling and wishing that he could be in one of those stories, coming alive as one of the characters and living a seperate life in another world. His mother discouraged the idea of his fantasies, but his father always patted him on the back, urging him to keep dreaming. Because, as his father said, dreams have strange ways of coming alive. When he heard the story of the Shadow Train, he was instantly amused and tagged along with Chisa to go to the train tracks.

Personality: He laughs at a lot, makes inappropriate jokes everynow and then, and often smiles to the point where it's contagious. He wouldn't harm a fly, and often trusts others to easily. He's kind, sweet, although his manners could be better...

Alias: Gweneth

Shape-shifter or vampire?: Vampire

Friend or foe of the humans?: She tends to sway back and forth depending on whether or not she is thirsty.

Backstory/History: Gweneth, unfortunately, doesn't remember any of her past life. Occasionally, she'll see images of bits and pieces of her childhood, but not enough to piece together anything important. Though she tries not to think of her past of the way she died, it constantly weighs in the back of her mind, beckoning her to discover more about herself. Gweneth tends to have a rude nature, which most likely keys back to her past. Because of being a vampire, it's hard for her to stay near humans for a long time. She wants to, sure, but most of them decide to stay away because of her aggressive nature and thirst for blood.

Alias: Vincent Duccan

Shape-shifter or Vampire?: Shape-shifter

If shape-shifter, what does it shape-shift into?: Human and a python

Friend or foe to the humans: Foe.

Back story/History: Unlike most shadows, Vincent remembers most of his past. He knows he was human, and that he had a younger sister. While being human, he cared for his sister a lot and often became too overly protective over her. His mother was diagnosed with tuberculosis and unfortunately died when he was a mere nine and his sister only seven. After his mother’s death, he became rude, sharp-tongued, and didn’t care for his sister as much as he should have at the time. His father was at a loss of what to do about Vincent, as he was hanging out with the wrong people and being in the wrong places. His father would strictly tell him to not hang out with those people or to not talk back to him as Vincent did so often, but Vince refused and continued to be rude and argumentative. He took the train to the Shadow Realm one breezy night and hung out with the shadows for too long, thus turning into one himself. Now, with the influence of other shadows, he hates humans, regrets being human, and hates to be near them. He’d much rather do without them in the Shadow Realm.

Alias: Angelica Mercury

Shape-shifter or vampire?: Shape-shifter

If shape-shifter, what does it shape-shift into?: Human; Rabbit

Friend or foe of the humans?: Foe

Backstory/History:  Remarkably, Angelica remembers how she died and what her life as a human was like, but she hates that life and wished it was never there. She recalled the many times she would be hurt in school from insults and terrible comments, and she recalled the time when she was so mad that she took her anger out on her pet rabbit by beating. She ended up killing the rabbit, and she never forgave herself. She remembered when her little brother would scream and cry at her for hurting the rabbit. One day, she went down to the lake, where she boarded the local train. Sadly, the train crashed, and the passengers were all dead, including Angelica. What she saw before she died – was a black rabbit.

She can be very energetic and hyper, and she loves to cause trouble and hurt others. She also whines a lot and asks questions frequently. She also has a hard time staying on task, and she rambles on most of the time. She also is very childish, and loves candy.

She would constantly have to be by his side, rarely letting him play with his friends. She wanted him to be hers, and only hers. She would do anything to have him, even if it involved killing someone. After Ichirou’s death, Amaya couldn’t take the world without him in her life, and so she committed suicide. She is now the conductor for the train, and still has an obsession with him. One thing that she wouldn’t do, however, is tell Ichirou his past.

Alias:  Atticus

Shape-shifter or vampire?: Vampire

Friend or foe of the humans?: Foe

Backstory/History: As a young child, Atticus was abandoned by his birth parents, and sent to an orphanage.  This was mainly because his parents did not want him, not because of any disorders. He grew up there, but was always more violent than the other children. He made fun with dead animals that he found on the side of the street. He once brought a dead baby bird back to the orphanage to scare the other children. He was always described as morbid, downright insane, and sadistic. He was so mentally unstable that no one ever adopted him. At around age twelve, he began to go completely crazy. He was like this because he thought that no one would ever love him. At age sixteen, he committed suicide. Ever since then, he has lived in the shadow realm, and has been mentally corrupt, but manages to keep a low and steady profile there.

Gweneth shook her head quickly, and instantly regretted it afterwards. She falter slightly, trying not to fall from the quick sense of dizzyness and nauseua that swept over her. "Well, think of it this way," she started, "if I fall, you can tell me how stupid I am and keep telling me that until your satisfied. Honestly though, stop talking." She looked at Kaito. "Are you really thinking about following him into the woods tomorrow?" she asked, tripping every few steps.

-

Vincent chuckled. "Well, I assume so. I did hear a rather sickening cracking sound coming from her back," he told him and shook his head. "I'd want to come. I wouldn't miss out on something that could be rather interesting." He shrugged his non-hurt shoulder. "They might. But it depends on whether or not the others are up to going with them. I don't think Ichirou, Mei, or Gweneth would allow the feeder mice to go alone, after all."

Axel couldn't help but laugh. "Oh I wished I could have heard that. Did she look like she was in pain? Did she scream? Fighting Ichirou was a bit boring. I should have fought with my hands. All that kicking around made me both tired and bored." he said. Yeah, Axel was a sardistic fellow sometimes. He had never shown that side of himself to anyone but Vincent and Angelica. Why? Maybe it was because they were as twisted as he was? There were times that Axel wondered why he was so wretched on the inside. There were also times that he wanted to change. But that desire was usually killed after he would do a good deed and he would find it to be too boring. Axel never did anything that didn't benefit him or amuse him

-

Kaito looked at Gweneth and frowned. "Gweneth, let go of Mei, please. I'll carry her back." he said. Maybe Mei's weight was too much for Gweneth? Or maybe she was worse than Mei but was just better at hiding it? He wished he could carry them both but that might end up hurting them more. "I don't know. We can talk about that later. I think right now we just need to focus on you're guy's well-being." he said.

Gweneth frowned. Maybe she should let Kaito carry Mei. It might be better for Mei if she was off of her feet entirely. "Ah...Yeah. It would be best if you would carry her." She carefully ducked free of Mei's arm and let Kaito carry Mei. Almost immediately, she felt a feeling of relief from the weight of Mei off of her injured shoulder. She placed a hand to her stomach and frowned. She had almost forgotten that she was bleeding. She kept her hand over the cuts on her stomach, not caring about the blood that was seeping onto her hands. She let out a quiet sigh. "We're going with you, of course," she told Kaito, not caring about whether they wouldn't want them to. Of course they would follow. They had to keep them alive.

-

Vincent nodded his head. "What do you think?" he asked him, raising an eyebrow. "Of course she was in pain. I was planning on breaking her spine, but the feeder mice pushed me off of her. And that," he said, "was how she became able to smash my face in." He enjoyed telling all this to Angelica and Axel. To him it was like a form of a messed-up story time. It entertained him. "You didn't use your hands? Well, that seems stupid and boring. No wonder you lost," he joked, laughing. Vincent wondered why he was being nice to Mei for the few minutes that he was. Perhaps, he honestly felt bad? Or maybe he knew better than to try to keep fighting. That's right. He was getting her to sit so that she wouldn't murder him at that very moment.

Axel eyes widened "Wait... the humans pushed you off her? Now that's unexpected." He looked at Vincent with a smile "I can't believe she beat you up like that. She's never exactly been the brutal-type. I saw you and Mei sitting on a bench together. Were so beated up that you couldn't kill her in that time or could it be that you have grown soft?" he asked jokingly. He laughed "Yeah, okay. Go ahead and make fun of me. I misunderestimated him." He let a sly grin grow on his face "I won't make the same mistake next time, though. I'll definitely kill them." he turned to Vincent and Angelica "Of course, you're welcome to come along. Who knows? Maybe this time we'll win." he said. Too be honest, he was rather annoyed that they all lost. Surely, they were much stronger than that? Under any circumstances, they might have won. Maybe it was the human's fault. Somehow... Axel was slowly starting to gain interest in them. They were different from any other humans he had ever met. He looked over at Angelica. He would ask for details on her fight, but she seemed to busy craving candy. He would most definitely ask afterwards though.

-

Kaito looked at Mei. She hasn't spoken for a long time. Had she fainted? He noticed that she was struggling to keep her eyes open. "Hey, Mei! Don't close you eyes." he said. He decided that she didn't have the strength to jump on his back so he gently swept her off her feet and carried her in his arms. Kaito looked at Gweneth "If you think it's a bad idea, then I wont go." he said simply. He trust Gweneth ten times more than Axel, no matter how nice he seems.

"Yeah. That's exactly why I was pushed off. I didn't expect them to do that," Vincent responded and made a face. "Hell no." He shook his head. "With the way things were going downhill, she would have murdered me if I did anything different." He rolled his eyes. "Of course you won't. Otherwise, my theory that you are insanely stupid would be proven. And I'm sure you just can't handle the thought of me being right about your stupidness," he joked.

-

Gweneth quickly looked at Mei when Kaito spoke. Please let this be better than it seems, she thought to herself, closing her eyes for just a moment. "I don't necessarily think it will be a bad idea, but I certainly don't trust him. You can't trust any of them, not with what they just did to us." She removed her hand from her stomach and stared at the blood. She was thirstier than she had expected herself to be. Even after drinking so much of Angelica's blood, it certainly didn't seem to be enough for her.

-

I have to go. It's late. Goodnight!

(It cut off. My bad xP Terribly short. Forgive me! Good night!)

Axel grinnned "Good to hear. You wouldn't be nearly as and fun to hang out with if that were the case." He gave a short laugh "You got pushed... by humans!" he said as if it were the funniest thing in the world. He smiled at Vincent "Insanely stupid is the new genius, my friend. You better get on board, or you'll be left behind.
-
Kaito nodded, as he stared ahead. He had to give this a lot of thought. Depending on what the others thought. Chisa was obviously okay with going. He saw Ichirou's house and sighed in releif. He looked down at Mei. She was still breathing, but she looked horrible. He looked at Gweneth and hoped that she was okay. Same went for Ichirou. He wondered why they fought for him and his friends. They met yesterday and now... they were beaten up thanks to them.

(Yay! I'm so glad your internet's working well again!

And what a late reply this is. x.x)

~

Ichirou grinned as they walked back. He wiped his brow, and skipped along. Even for being half-alive, he sure was in an energetic state. He turned to everyone. "So, we all ought to get a good rest back home,  who knows if we'll be fighting again tomorrow. Although I truly doubt anyone would want to risk their lives once more." He said, with a deep gleam in his eyes. Ichirou laughed, and spoke again. "Say, do we happen to have any of our party items available back home, Gweneth?" Ichirou asked, while walking. "After everyone is tended to and wounds are healed, what do you say we through a big party! I don't know about you, but I could have a whole night's worth of a party. It would be so much fun! We could string the lanterns high on the roof of the house and we can have all kinds of foods and all types of excitement! How about we even tell stories by the fire. We might be able to get the fireplace ready, eh. All we have to do is remember to clean the hearth. Oh, this will be great!' Ichirou was too happy and overjoyed at the moment to even think about the state of everyone. He supposed after they got a good night's rest and some bandages, then maybe they will want to have a party.

~

Angelica laughed with joy. "Candy!!" She was ahead of Vincent and Axel, pointing down the path. "Come on guys! After we get candy you can have time to mope around and worry about what we're going to do with the humans! Let's go." With that said, Angelica bounced down the pathway, or more like limped down, ignoring the pain she was in. The urge for candy probably gave her an edge in energy. Although after she actually ate the candy, she would have much more energy than she had at the moment. She laughed and giggled like a child, and continued down the path, often calling back to Axel and Vincent to hurry up. They could be quite a nuisance to wait for sometimes, she though to herself.

~

Chisa folded her arms and sighed. Yep, that was a stupid idea. No one was going to actually listen to her rant on about something quite ridiculous. She jumped when Axel put his hand on her shoulder. She brushed it off of her, or at least tried to and stumbled back in with her friends. She closed her eyes and waited patiently for the others to help Mei out. She began walking, glancing slightly at Ichirou, wondering how he could sustain all that pain and be so gleeful and energetic simultaneously. She shrugged the idea away, and responded to his long blur of words. "Sure, a party sounds great, but not in the condition everyone is in now. Later sounds good.

Gweneth whipped her head around to glare at Ichirou, and nearly tripped on her feet as her vision blurred. She stood, silent and steady to regain her vision. After a moment or two, she was finally able to send a glare towards Ichirou. "What exactly is your problem, Ichirou?" She spoke calmly, though her voice was edged with anger. "Look at m--" She stopped herself. Was she just about to say, "look at me"? No, she most certainly didn't mean that. "Look at Mei, Ichirou! She doesn't look to be in the mood for a party, does she? No! Of course not. She looks like she is dying and she might as well be. Maybe then you wouldn't be thinking about a topic that hardly matters." She took a deep breath and put the back of her hand to her forehead. She didn't know what she had expected. A fever, maybe? Of course she wouldn't feel something like that. Just cold, of course. When they finally arrived at the house, she held the door open so that Kaito could lay Mei down on the couch.

-

Vincent shrugged his shoulders once more. "Well, if that's the case, I'd prefer to stay off of the train. I wouldn't want to be seen acting and looking as rediculous as you do," he teased, and furrowed his brows at Angelica. "We were moping around, just now?" he asked. "Gee, Angelica, if you think that this is moping around I honestly can't imagine what you think when I'm in a crappy mood."

-

Alec looked at Ichirou while Gweneth yelled. He tilted his head to the side. He happened to agree with what Gweneth was saying, not that he would ever say that out loud. But, he found it hard to believe that someone's mind could be wandering off in such a direction when their friends were injured and bleeding. He walked into the house and sat down, before immediately standing back up. "Do you guys happen to have some sort of first aid kit?" he asked Ichirou, tilting his head.

Axel chuckled "Don't worry, Angelica. We'll get there soon." Honestly, Angelica acted like such a child sometimes. Before, he could not stand people like that. So why was he so calm around Angelica? Granted, there were times that he wanted to shut her up for good,, but never had the will to do it. What would Vincent do if he killed Angelica? What would Angelica do if he killed Vincent? What would they do if Axel was murder by one of them? Axel shook his head, shaking off the thought. Maybe it was that despite Angelica's immature personality, she was still Axel's friend.

-

Mei couldn't helpbut to close her eyes. It felt so much better. She was just so.. sleepy. Almost all the pain dissapeared and was replaced by numbness. She did hear something about a party.. What? Why did Ichirou want to throw a party. Mei wanted to laugh and how clueless Ichirou was sometime. Did she look like she was in the condition to party? All she wanted was to go to sleep.

-

"Thanks." he told Gweneth for holding the door. Kaito walked in and carefully laid Mei on the sofa. He then turned to Gweneth "You need to sit down." he said, trying not to sound like he was ordering her. Kaito has had friends get hurt infront of him. But it was usually something like they scraped their knee or twisted an ankle. Nothing like this.

Gweneth walked into the house and closed the door behind everyone. "As if I would listen to you," she scoffed and nodded her head in response to Alec's question. "There's one in the kitchen, under the sink. I'll go get it." She didn't stop talking before she walked into the kitchen to grab the first aid kit. She grabbed it from under the sink and walked back, staring at its contents. They had never really thought to put a lot in there, just a few band-aids and a bandage wrap. Perhaps after this they should go out and buy more. "We don't have much..." she mumbled. "Use the bandages for Mei's ribs, and only for Mei. Ichirou seems happy enough to let that happen, and I can just wrap an old shirt around my stomach." She tossed the first aid kit to Alec and looked worriedly down at Mei, still standing and shaking as she did so.

-

Alec caught the first aid kit when Gweneth tossed it to him, and rummaged through the entirety of it. He ran a hand through his hair and sat on the ground for a moment. So, there were band-aids, a bandage wrap, and not much else. He scrunched up his nose and stood back up. "Mind if I go rummaging through the bathrooms?" he questioned, though didn't let any of them answer, as he was already heading upstairs to look for towels.

Kaito frowned when Gweneth refused to sit down ands sighed. He sat on the floor, next to Mei. He wondered why Ichirou seemed so.. happy. Did Ichirou really think it was a good idea to party? Is he even worried about Mei and Gweneth?

-

Mei let out a soft groan, with her eyes closed. "I'm fine." she said, though her voice said otherwise. She sounded rather grumpy and her voice was weak. "I just want to go to sleep." She opened her eyes and looked at Gweneth. "Please sit down, please?" she asked. Mei closed her eyes again and began to cough once more. She moved her hand so it covered her hand. When she was done, there was only a little bit of blood on her hand. She wiped her hand on her dress, not wanting them to see the blood.

Gweneth narrowed her eyes. No, Mei was most certainly not okay. She bit down on her lip and frowned. "You can sleep after you're all bandaged up." She hated telling Mei that she couldn't do what she wanted to do at the moment. She wanted to let Mei sleep, yes, but with the way Mei was still coughing up blood, it worried Gweneth to let her do anything but focus on being wrapped in a bandage. She stared at the ground and gave a short nod, before sitting down in a chair. She didn't like just sitting. Sitting and waiting for her friend to be alright. Gweneth didn't care if she was a sickly pale or if her stomach was still bleeding. She just needed to know that Mei was alright. However, she could use a drink. She hurried into the kitchen and flung open the fridgerator door, pulling the small bottle of blood from the shelf. Normally, she would pour it into a glass, but at the moment it seemed useless to put in so much effort just to drink. She walked back into the living room and flicked the cap off of the bottle, before letting herself down the bottle in nearly one gulp.

-

Alec walked back into the living room, a towel in hand, as Gweneth finished drinking the blood. It felt like something had dropped into the pit of his stomach, and he felt sick again. He needed to get used to it, however. As long as it wasn't his blood that Gweneth was drinking, he'd have to get used to it. He couldn't help but wonder where she got the blood from.
