Antonia...yes they are written by Jennifer Barnes.  Are you familiar with them?

I'm reading Breaking Dawn.. for the umpteenth time. :)

I am reading New Moon for the second time

I love New Moon and the other 3 a well

Yes i would recomend it to a friend altho all my friends hav read them

My sister told me about them

(To leanne l): pet semetary is my favourite Stephen king book, the shining. I tried salems lot but wjen I went to renew it somebody wanted it so I had to take it back, I had barely started it. I haven't read it yet but I do have it on my book self along with dreamcatcher, bag of bones and dead zone (the last two I have lent out and haven't got them back yet), I want to buy misery and the cell next.

I have a whole bookshelf full of Stephen King novels.  I caught a lot of them in new hardcover at a yard sale. Bought them all for $5 each.  That was a very good deal considering they were brand new condition.  But my favorite, Cujo, wasn't in the bunch.

I have also had that problem at my local library.  I live in a small town, so our library usually doesn't have copies of new releases.  If I want to read them I have to put a hold and it is sent from another library.  Sometimes it takes weeks to get here.  Then you have to hurry through it because they won't let you renew it.  My dog chewed on the corner of three of my library books the other day.  I went in and returned the books knowing that I would have to pay a penalty for them.  All three of these books were older, with dog eared pages, stained covers, yellowed pages, etc.  The library wants me to pay full price for brand new books. I found each of these books on Amazon...1 new for $4, the other 2 used but in very good condition for $2 each.  The library will not let me buy a replacement and donate, they want me to pay $12-$15 each.  I'm quite upset with them, and don't intend to borrow any more from them, so my reading will now be limited to my Kindle books and whatever I can find at used book stores, yard sales, etc.  I don't mind paying for what damage my dog caused but I don't think I should be liable for a brand new book when I didn't borrow a brand new book.

Thats ridiculous what your library is doing charging you for brand new books!!! I agree with you! I don't see why you can't buy replacements and donate, they are still getting the book back, maybe in better condition too!!

Right.  And at least I was trying to be honest about it and bring them in and try to do the right thing.  If this is the way they treat people who use their services, it's no wonder public libraries aren't as popular as they used to be.  I also used to donate books to them, but from now on I will trade or donate somewhere else.

I don't blame you! I wouldn't want to use my library if they treated me like that!! I haven't actually borrowed from a library in about a year, not because of bad service though, because I have got 40+ books at home that I haven't read yet and I really want to read a good few of them before I buy/borrow anymore books, ie: completing a couple of my sets ( supernatural novels and the vampire diaries novels).
  • I am reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
  • I am hooked!! It's great.
  • It takes a while to get going. Quite a long while. But it is worth it. Stick it out and you won't regret it. The start is slow and journalistic. I would have given up if it hadn't been a present from my boy friend... But then it's facinating: a murder/mystery but with some real twists.
  • oops said that before: a present from my boy friend.

  •  I am also reading: Almanecer (Breaking dawn in Spanish): hey if you know a book well enough, it's much easier to read in a foreign language and my Spanish need more than polishing... It's *coughs* educational! :-)
  • I'm finding it enjoyable but a challenge
  • I would recommend the idea of reading these books in another language to anyone who wants to polish up : it's everyday language and if you know the book enough, do-able. And it's translated into so many languages. Like Harry Potter (not everyday language though, tougher!!)
  • I can't remember.

I've just started the Dark Hunter Series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.  So far I've only read Fantasy Lover and about halfway through Night Pleasures.  I really like the series so far.  Really hot, handsome Heroes in these books.

I'm reading The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin. It's really good so far. I'm intrigued!

I'm reading A Swift, Pure Cry by Siobhan Dowd.
I didn't really like it that much at first but I'm LOVING it now. Such a great plot twist.
If they can deal with dead babies, they should definitely read it.
I've always had a thing for Irish stories and I found this at the library.
