We had a thread a while back just like this by Kayla (ergh I miss her so much) and it's been gone for a while now. This probably won't stay for long, but I wanted to remake this thread because I've been watching a lot of movies lately.
So:
-What was the last movie you watched?
-How was it?
-What was it about?
-Would you watch it again?

UGH it was heartbreaking and beautiful. It was about two parents who were not satisfied with their lives and developed a friendship that turned into something more. There was another story in the movie about a man who was just released from prison and is trying to get his life back on track, but a police officer won't let him. I would definitely watch it over and over again.

I also miss Kayla, and several of her threads.
Coincidentally, the last film I saw also had Jackie Earle Haley in it: Watchmen. I love it. It is based on the DC Comics epic, a dystopian imagining of a realistic world (circa mid-1980's) with superheroes and supervillians, and the blurry line between them. Yes, I shall gladly rewatch it, which is why I own it on DVD.

I'd even read the book, but it still managed to make me cry.

It was wonderful.
:D
Doctor Jones, a kid with a chip on his shoulder, and a crystal skull.
>:D
Yup. In fact, this was at least my third time watching it.
:D

Permalink Reply by Jacen Caedus on May 13, 2013 at 8:12pm 007 Skyfall
It was good, but I did not enjoy it as much as I did Daniel Craig's other 007 movies.
It finally addresses Bond's parents.
Sure.
Permalink Reply by Envy Breeds Hate on May 15, 2013 at 9:20pm The last movie I watched, I watched on Friday (now it's Weds.) with my sister, was The Great Gatsby (the newest one). After reading it in class, I wanted to see it really bad so i actually went to Regal to see it (I never go to the thearters). For those who don't know, The Great Gatsby is about a man named Jay Gatsby. It is written from the point of view of his neighbor as he remembers his summer; looking back on his time with Gatsby. I would most deff. watch this movie again and would advise others to watch it if they haven't. It's a good movie and a great book.

Permalink Reply by Patricia Van der Mispel on May 18, 2013 at 6:19am I really enjoyed the previous movie with Robert Redford and Mia Farrow. One of the few movies you could watch and read the book at the same time...allmost exactly alike. ;)
Looking forward to this one. Hope I won't be dissapointed.

I enjoyed it.
It was based on a semi-autobiographical novel written by Hunter S. Thompson.
Yes, I would watch it again.

Oh my freaking...wow. I loved it. A lot. A really really whole lotta lot.
The series of events which followed 9/11 and culminated in the death of Usama bin Laden.
Yes, lots of times.
Permalink Reply by Luna on June 10, 2013 at 8:26pm I'm gonna cheat and put a TV show instead of a movie.
Last night Game of Thrones wrapped up its third season; the fourth won't come out till March 2014 or so.
MY HEART IS BREAKING OVER THIS SHOW OKAY. I became way too emotionally invested in it; I've been making sad little playlists based off characters all day.
If anyone has TV recommendations that'd be great. It's gonna be a long time till 2014.

One of the coolest movies I have seen in a long time. It has lotsa awesome music in it.
The 24hr story of the employees of an independent record store rebelling against the seemingly inevitable buyout of their store by a soulless national chain.
Again, and again, and again. :D I now own it.
