(A/N; I think I'll be able to do this. This was a very personal experience that happened to me and I thought maybe I'd feel better if I could write it all out. Also, this is probably going to be a long chapter, a lot happened in a little amount of time, I'm trying to break it all down evenly but, the first part was hard.I'll try to keep things short and interesting so it doesn't drag. So, I hope that you enjoy it and have better experiences than me.(; Thanks for reading.!)
Chapter one; My first mistake.
It was the end of my first week here in Forks. My new bestfriend Alice said it was neccessary to go out and celebrate, so typical of her.
"Come on, Bella! You should be excited, you survived a week!" She joked. I rolled my eyes and couldn't help but laugh.
"All right, all right. So, what are we doing anyway?" I asked as I sat back into her couch and ate one of the chips out of the bowl we were sharing.
"We're just going to Port Angeles with some people to go to dinner." This didn't sound too bad.
"Who's going?" I questioned, I didn't know that many people.
She thought for a moment before answering. "Well, Edward and Jessica are coming. Angela, Ben, Eric, and Mike."
I groaned. "Ew, Jessica? Why is she going? I hate her, she's so..." I couldn't describe her. All that came to mind was short skirts, low shirts, and the list of boys she's gone through. She was just so... easy.
"Because, Bella, she's Edward's girlfriend. No matter how much we all hate her." Alice--and everyone on earth-- hated Jess too.
"Shut up, Alice." Edward said as he passed through the room, grabbing a handful of chips on his way by.
"I didn't say anything that wasn't true." Alice muttered, even though Edward wasn't in the room anymore. I'd never really met Edward, strangely. I'd seen him around the house and at school but never talked to him. Though, he was definitely something to look at.
Alice turned her attention back to me. "Jacob Black is going." She paused and raised an eyebrow at me.
"What? Jacob? How'd you convince him to go?" He was one of the hottest people going to our school, I'd been crushing on him since I got here. We sat next to each other in English, we talked sometimes, but I usually ended up saying something stupid. Which ended the conversation.
"Actually, he heard me talking about it at lunch the other day and he asked me if he could go! I think he likes you, Bella.."
My jaw dropped, "No he doesn't." I said quickly. She nodded.
"Come on, lets go get ready." She pulled me upstairs and started playing around with my hair and wondering out loud what I should wear. In the end, it took a little over an hour to make me look amazing, Alice was a miracle worker.
Alice looked great, too. She was amazing.
"Wow, Alice, you're gorgeous." I said, stunned.
"You think so!? I thought you looked way better than me, you have so much natural beauty. I didn't have to do much."
I shook my head, not wanting to start an arguement by disagreeing. "Are you ready to go?"
Alice led the way down the stairs and out to the car. We drove, sometimes making conversation, usually relating to school. I saw the lights in the distance. As we grew closer, I could see a group of people waiting near the enterance of the restaurant. Their faces were familiar but one person stood out more than the others. Jacob Black was standing more off to the side while the others made small talk with each other.
Alice parked the car and we walked towards them.
"Hi." I said when we got close enough. I watched Jacob smile when he saw me. I blushed and my stomach exploded with butterflies.
"Hey." He breathed, "You look beautiful." He bit his lip like that wasn't what he intended to say, like it slipped out.
My face flushed scarlet and I had to remind myself to breathe. "Thanks, you don't look to bad yourself." I said, trying not to stare.
Then someone, Edward I think, cleared their throat. I realized it was cold outside and everyone wanted to go in.
Jacob grabbed my hand and I stared at ours hanging together. "Do you mind?" He whispered. I shook my head.
"I like it." I said. He smiled and it made me smile. But then, Edward interupted.
"So, Bella, how are you liking Forks so far?" He said, aproaching me on my other side.
"Its getting better." I said, extremely aware of Jake's hand in mine. He gave it a slight squeeze.
"You must not enjoy the rain that much though, I bet it didn't rain much in Arizona." Edward pushed.
I shrugged, "I'm starting to get used to it."
Suddenly, Edward wass being pulled back. I glanced back and Jessica had him by the waist and was trying to go up for a kiss, but Edward rejected as politely as possible. He was too nice to her. She pouted and I was slightly disgusted. I turned back around.
The rest of the night was weird. Every time I got close to Jake, Edward would interupt. He was really starting to irritate me, but at the same time there was something about him...
At dinner Jacob sat on my right side. Edward was about to sit on my other side but Alice jumped in his place. I nodded at her, a silent thank you. At the end of the night, I was tired and more than ready to go home. Jacob and I stood outside, alone for once, thanks to Alice.
"I had a great time tonight." He said with a smile playing on his lips. The lips that I wanted so bad.
"Me too." I smiled back.
"Bella, I want to see you again." He said with a mix of confidence and hope.
I was about to burst, "Just say when."
"How about next Friday?" He looked up at me through his dark lashes, I felt like I was melting.
"Of course." I breathed.
"Great. Do you need a ride home tonight?" Jake asked. I knew I didn't need one, but I wanted one. I nodded. He took my hand again and walked me to his car. He opened the door for me and I slid in. Tonight seemed to be perfect.
When I got inside I had to tell Alice what just happened. I called her and she answered on the second ring.
"Bella? What happened to you? I saw you leave with Jacob..." She sounded skeptic.
"Well, after we ate, he asked me out next Friday-" She cut me off
"No way!" She squeeled
"I know. He offered to drive me home and when I was about to leave, he kissed me.." I paused, knowing she was about to freak out.
She screamed. Loudly. "That's so cute!" I giggled a little, I was getting over excited. It was out of character for me.
"Alice, I've got to go. I want to go to bed. I'll see you tomorrow. Night."
I put my phone down and laid down in my bed when it started ringing again. I sighed and picked it up. I didn't reconize the number.
"Hello?" I said, a little confused about who would be calling me this late.
"Hey, Bella. Its, uh, Edward." He said. What? Edward?
"Oh, hi.." This was painfully awkward and a little creepy. I'd never talked to him before tonight, and he was calling me?
He laughed at my tone. "I was just bored and I got your number so, I figured I'd call you."
Out of all the people in the world he was calling me? How'd he even get my number? "Oh. You didn't call Jessica?" I noticed the way my voice sounded. It sounded almost, jealous?
Edward laughed again, like it was a ridiculous suggestion. "No, I think I'm going to break up with her soon. She's starting to bother me. I can't even explain it. I probably sound crazy."
"Not at all, I know what you mean. Its like she just doesn't care about anything but herself." I said, agreeing with him.
"Exactly!" He enthusiased.
I looked at the clock then. It was almost midnight. I knew right there that I had a perfect excuse to hang up, I was tired and we had school tomorrow. But for some reason, I didn't. I talked to him almost all night, until both of us couldn't stay awake any longer. It was just so easy to talk to him! It'd never been like this with anyone before, and I liked it. We just seemed to connect.
But this one conversation, was my first mistake.
oooooohhhhhh!!!! This is awesome!!!!!! :D
Thank you everyone, so much. You're too nice(;
I can't say much about the happy endding, I won't say there isn't, but I'm not saying there is. I'm honestly still trying to figure it out myself. Lol.
