Here is chapter one :D
Chapter 1, Fate.
We were moving soon; which I was sad about- I grew accustomed to this place. But for our safety, and putting up the charade we needed to move somewhere else. My siblings and I have yet again graduated school; that takes the total number of graduation caps we have to un-countable! We are moving to a place called Forks, the wettest place in the continental US. I sat awkwardly in the house trying to play piano- I couldn’t concentrate. Everyone was…with their other halves dotted around the house. They all had a very different type of love; Rosalie and Emmett were very open and flamboyant about their love- which wasn’t so good for the rest of the family. Alice and Jasper were more reserved in their love; they had connecting silent moments which you felt rude to look at. My father and mother for all intensive purposes, Carlisle and Esme, they were like a young couple in love. At this point in time I have never felt so alone. I ran out the house and raced far away. I strolled around, not knowing what to do with myself. I had to escape my family and all their…love. I ran to nearest field and sat in the middle, looking up at the stars. Why couldn’t I find the one? Their love is so pure, so innate; it makes me almost…jealous. I sighed and looked towards the heavens.
“If there is a girl out there for me-a girl out there for a dead vampire, just send her already.” I whispered, wandering if anyone heard. I closed my eyes wishing that I could sleep at that moment.
A soft cry brought me out of my purgatory. I stood up and looked around for the noise. Following the sound I came across something…fascinating. I looked to see a young child no older than seven nestled in a blanket, her mahogany hair shielding her face. I bent down and hovered over her.
“Are you ok?” I asked in my softest voice. Her head shot up to reveal the most intriguing chocolate brown eyes. When she saw me with her tear stained face she cowered into my chest. Automatically my arms tightened around her.
“What’s wrong little one?” I asked once again- feeling oddly attached to this mysterious little girl.
“My m-m-mommy she got hurt.” She stuttered as more tears fell down her cherub face. Suddenly the full force of her scent hit me. It was so potent, the ache in my throat burned, wakening the monster that dwelled within. It was as if I couldn’t act to it though. I was thirsty; I couldn’t deny that- and her blood was sweeter than anything I have known; yet the anguish on her angel face was making me refrain.
“How did she get hurt?” I asked her softly whilst rocking her gently, attempting not to breath.
“A woman with red eyes bit her.” My body went ridged. A vampire? What was a human drinker doing around here? She softly cried in my arms so I stood up and pulled her tighter to my chest.
“I am Edward Cullen. I am going to take care of you. Keep your face in my chest…uh…”
“Now, let’s wipe away those tears, and show me how brave you can be.” I cooed to her. Her lip wobbled once more before she nodded and wiped her hands over her eyes.
“And how old are you Bella?” I asked curiously. She held up seven fingers, counting them a few times before pulling a sad grin.
“Seven.” She said sweetly before she buried her head deep in my chest. I ran to the house without turning back. She didn’t seem to mind, I could actually hear her endearing laughter. I smiled to myself as I ran into the house with a bundle of joy in my chest. I burst through the door to the six statues of my family.
“Edward what is that?” Carlisle asked questioningly. I turned her round as everyone gasped at the child now smiling shyly at the faces of my vampire family. Red rims around her eyes pricked the interest in everyone. She grasped tightly onto my shirt and stroked the material.
“This is Bella. I found her in a bush; someone ambushed her mom- nomads.” Esme tutted and flitted over to look at her.
“Are you okay dear? Do you want something to eat?” Bella nodded her head furiously as I placed her tiny frame on the ground. She grabbed Esme’s hand as she led her to the kitchen. Everyone else walked to the dining room. My curiosity burned as she willingly followed a stranger- not just a stranger but a vampire into the kitchen; surely when alive her mother would have taught her not to talk strangers, yet she had seemed quite comfortable with me was; it was interesting. I could already tell this child was a remarkable one at that.
She is so cute- can we keep her? I already see it in the future…
She could be like the little sister I have always wanted.
Her blood is so appealing… but she is just too cute.
Edward you’ve done the right thing, bringing her here.
My family rambled on in their heads. I waited impatiently for everyone to sit down. Esme came back in with Bella chomping on an apple.
“Where do you want to sit?” Esme asked in her motherly tone.
“With Edward.” She whispered. I smiled and opened my arms for her willingly. She grinned and ran over to my arms, getting comfortable in my lap. A dimple appeared in the corner of her mouth, making her look even more adorable. I snuggled close to her as Carlisle started to talk. I was well aware that she knew what we were talking about; it struck me how smart she was. She followed the conversation and nodded when needing to and spoke when spoken to. Then something else caught me off guard; I couldn’t for the life of me hear her mind. It was as if she was a mental mute! Wow that’s going to get annoying.
“I feel she is too young to let her out on her own; we have an obligation to look after her. If we hold off for a few years to move, lay low for a while we can take her with us. She can start a new life and enrol in school. But we need to ask her what she wants.” Carlisle stated. Everyone turned to face the girl in my chest. She looked to me for advice. I gave her a motivational grin, nodding for her to talk. She bit on her puckered lip and did a big sigh.
“I want to stay. Only if Edward stays with me.” she blushed and looked at me. I smiled and kissed her head.
“Anything for you.” I whispered to her.
“Thank you for saving me. I am going to miss my mommy a lot.” Her voice began to crack as she spoke of her mother.
“You will stay with us now little one, don’t you worry.” Rosalie said, kissing her cheek.
“Would you like to join this family?” Everyone anticipated her answer, though Alice and I already knew. She nodded her heart shaped little face and held tightly onto my index and middle fingers, squeezing them for reassurance.
“I need to introduce you to your new family.” She giggled sweetly and looked up at the people approaching her.
“This is Emmett and Rosalie.” I pointed. She waved to them as they walked over and each had a little hug with her. She seemed pretty content, even with the ice cold, hard skin.
“Alice and Jasper.” Jasper stayed behind a little whilst Alice held her tightly, whispering in her ear; a pointless action as we could all hear perfectly.
“You are going to be the best little sister ever!” Bella sniggered and waved at Jasper. He waved back awkwardly- it was harder for him, being the newest vegetarian. His thoughts we torn between how cute she was and what a good addition she will be to the family and the thirst which made him squirm. I whispered under my breath so Bella couldn’t hear.
“Jasper you need to go hunt. Go with Alice now- you can’t cut it short with a child in the family.” He nodded as Alice joined him, flitting out the back door. I felt oddly protective of this little girl.
“Last but not least; Mom and Dad- Carlisle and Esme.” Carlisle cradled her closely whilst Esme kissed the top of her head.
“How old are you?” he asked questioningly.
“Seven.” I replied automatically. They looked at me weirdly whilst I shrugged. She was pretty small for a seven year old, but she seemed very mature. When she had met everyone, Bella made her way back to my lap and snuggled closer into my chest, falling asleep. Everyone cooed at the sleeping child and Esme patted my shoulder.
“Well done Edward. You made the right choice.” I left my family and wandered upstairs, placing her delicately on my couch. My room didn’t have a bed- I would have to fix that. I tried to pry her out of my hands but she held on tighter.
“No! Please MOM!” she screamed. It broke my dead heart. I wiped the tears that were falling down her face and led next to her. She never loosened her grip, she was a little fighter!
Now that I thought it about it, it all seemed like…fate. Not fate as in her mom was supposed to die- that was an unfortunate event which was out of everyone’s control; a vampire that drinks human blood around humans is the most unlucky thing ever to happen. But how is Bella still alive? Then I just happened to come across her when wishing to whoever is up there that I find love.
“Thank you.” I whispered, smiling. Bella stirred in my arms and rubbed her eyes gently. I rocked her gently and started to sing a lullaby, making her lavender eye lids close over her chocolate eyes.
Does this make you thirsty for more twilighters?!
I really hoped you enjoyed the first chapter of my new fanfic!
Please listen to this song- it’s not too much effort (:
Its that lullaby that was playing when I was writing the last paragraph. Beautiful song; Newton Faulkner. So Please listen to this, and enjoy (:

“Alice-” I began to moan but she pressed her finger firmly to my lips.
“Isabella please. Esme, Rosalie and I worked hard. Now take the damn key and follow the rose petals. The cheesy idea was Edwards.” She giggled. Everyone joined in as I tapped my foot, looking towards Edward.
“So this was the whole ‘keeping’ thing from me. Come on then Edward, world of trouble when we get where we go.” He laughed and escorted me out the back door. We followed the rose petals through the trees; I was actually getting quite excited, I wanted to know what it was. Edward stopped suddenly and stood in front of me smiling.
“Ready?” I nodded my head dismissively as we emerged through the trees. I came to a complete halt. Stood in front of me was the cutest little cottage anyone could ever ask for. Ivory wound its way up the side, entwining with different flowers; different colours splashed around. I walked forward, amazed by the dream cottage.
“Oh Edward it’s beautiful!” I jumped in his arms and forced my lips upon his. He pulled away laughing.
“If this is me in trouble I better get in it more often.” I laughed and got out of his arms, grabbing onto his hand. I towed him into the house looking around. It was adorable; a fireplace in the corner by a blue love seat, a bookcase with hundreds of books; I could pinpoint my favourites like, Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice. The stone wall made the place look fairytale; I wanted to wait to see Snow White walk out from the kitchen with seven dwarves following her or Pinocchio dancing across the wood floor. Hung on the wall was my most favourite painting from the house. An abstract piece with colours intermingled. It was such a beautiful house, everything I could ask for.
“Oh Edward, its…it’s perfect. Thank you.” I gushed.
“Don’t thank me; this was all Esme, Alice and Rosalie.” I sighed at how perfect life is. I walked up to him slowly, teasing him with my expression. I stopped, inches away from his face, trailing my fingertips from his arm up to his face. The touch of his skin with my new senses was astonishing. He was even more velvety smooth than I remember; our temperatures the same. I experimented with my lips, kissing parts of his neck and arms- it felt good to be able to kiss him without him pulling away, and knowing I will no longer hurt him, I briefly remember the burn from this afternoon, but shook it away- locking it in a draw in my mind; it seemed I had many spaces in my mind now. All there was now was Edward and I. I finally lifted my eyes up to his and smiled.
“That was unbelievably hard to not grab you right then.” He said closing his eyes and controlling his breathing- I felt smug at the impact of my experiment.
“It’s nice to experiment.” I simply said. He cocked his head to the side as a seductive smile spread across his face.
“Well well then, if it’s nice to experiment- allow me.” he pulled me by my wrist to his body. With his nose he skimmed across the surface of my skin from my wrist up to my face. From my ear, passing my jaw line to the nape of my neck I could feel his breath as he inhaled my scent. I closed my eyes taking in the pleasurable feeling as he started to explore my new body with his hands too. That feeling I had in the forest in my stomach brewed again- this time more powerful. I didn’t know what happened but I couldn’t take it anymore. An animalistic growl grew at the back of my throat as I firmly grabbed hold of his head and pushed his lips down to mine in a passionate kiss. He picked me up effortlessly and walked to the bedroom- I didn’t have time to appreciate my surroundings and the décor- I needed to satisfy this intense build up, now.
I didn't know what to expect- but that was a complete surprise. Making love to Edward was like no other sensation. Our bodies fit together like missing puzzle pieces. Heightened vampire sense made everything more clear and every touch was a burning sensation. I led content in his arms, looking out over the sunrise.
“Do you think this need ever lets up?” I asked absentmindedly as he traced light circles on my skin.
“I don’t know.” He chuckled- “I hope not…for now at least.” He amended giggling brightly. I smiled and feather kissed his cheeks, moving to his nose and his chin before staying at his lips.
“I suppose we better get up now.” I said gloomily. Edward shook his head furiously.
“No no, why don’t we just…stay here for another day…THEN go back to the house?”
“I may need some convincing…” I said seductively to him. His bell laughter sounded throughout the room as he pulled me as close as he could to his body. A shudder of pleasure moved through my body as he kissed me fervently. It was safe to say I was convinced.
My life was finally complete. I was immortal, I had the love of my life with me for all eternity and we had the cottage of our dreams. Life was perfect. Edward and I still hadn’t got the balance thing right, but it wasn’t something to complain about! Everyone would get annoyed but it wasn’t like they could talk. I vividly remember times when I was younger that Edward would take me out because Rosalie and Emmett were cuddling too loud; I now know what cuddling means. We all sat on the sofa, idling about.
“I’m bored.” Alice stated a matter of fact. I nodded my head and turned to Edward. Raising my eyebrow I bit on my lip, knowing he knows what I want.
“Uh…Bella and I are going…to go for a walk.” He said, dragging me. Suddenly Emmett stood in front of us, blocking out path.
“Ok guys! That is enough. Let’s do something as a family!” I shook my head and effortlessly pried his arms off the door frame.
“Emmett I do recall that it took you and Rosalie a decade and two houses.” Edward said. Emmett frowned and pouted. I laughed giddily and called behind to Emmett.
“Oh how I love being stronger than you.”
“Before we go there, let’s go to our meadow.” Edward whispered silkily to me. I followed him willingly to our secret place. We sat down in the middle and looked towards the retreating sun. The colours sprayed across the sky like a canvas- red, oranges, pinks and blue painted a beautiful picture. I turned on my side and rested on my elbow. Edward did the same, bringing his hand up to my face and stroking it.
“Are you sad that I’m immortal? Like do you miss my human self?” I asked quietly. He briefly froze, but quickly carried on the light strokes across my face.
“It’s…different. It will take a while for me to get used to it. It’s not that I’m sad…I just felt you could do better. This life isn’t as appealing as it looks.” His answer surprised me. I always thought if I had my way and became a vampire he would be off on one- he hated the idea of me being immortal.
“Edward I would never ever want anyone else but you, how could I do any better than you anyway? Is there...anything you miss?” he smiled at my answer and shook his head.
“It has always confused me on how you view me Isabella- like I’m some sort of god.” Well he was. “Do you know what I won’t miss? The pull I had to your blood, it was a struggle for me to be in close proximity- obviously I overcame it. But what I will miss is your heartbeat.” He surprised me once again. Curiosity filled my expression as he chuckled.
“The gentle pounds of your heartbeat were music to my ears. I was so in tune with it I know I could pick it out in any crowded area. When you were asleep at night I listened all night to the gentle thrumming- it became the most calming sound. Though I suppose now you don’t sleep we can do…other stuff at night.” He winked at me and pulled my body onto his, our lips coming together of their own accord. Edward stopped suddenly, his lips frozen solid on mine. I pulled away and stood up abruptly- waiting for some sort of danger.
“When Alice?!” Edward asked, despair colouring his tone, worry filling his face. Alice emerged from the trees, her little face scrunched neatly into a frown.
“In about five minutes? I don’t know what they want but somehow they found out about the new edition. You know how Aro gets- he doesn’t like the fact there is a coven threatening to be bigger than his.” They started running toward the house. I kept pace easily but darted in front of Edward before he went in.
“Hold up. Something about me? Tell me now.” I said sternly.
“Do you remember the stories about the ‘royalty’ in vampire world?”
“Volturi?” I shivered at remembering his terrifying tales of the so called royalty.
“Well they have somehow heard of you. Aro lusts power and it frightens him when there is a potential threat. Our coven is bigger than his so the greed of authority overtakes everything else; he thinks we want the thrown. I’ve seen into Aro’s mind and what he wants most is Alice and I. He thinks that we will be a good addition to their coven because of our…powers. ” I froze. The nightmares creeping into my mind of the pale faced, red eyed monsters I was told about. Edward growled under his breath.
“I should have known Aro would do this.” I could tell he was mentally kicking himself. I cooed to him and kissed his hand.
“Edward it’s ok. We will get through this.”
“Bella you haven’t met Aro.” I could hear a car screeching down the streets. I tensed up in Edwards arms and swallowed loudly. This is the first time being a vampire I felt actual fear. I could feel the stressed atmosphere rise in the room as everyone got into the pairs. Edward stood slightly in front of me, shielding me of course when I heard the voices.
Amazing As Always!!!
