Embry, Me, and a Quick Look
“Leah.” Embry said. I just looked down at my feet. I couldn’t look in anyone’s eyes except Seth. I don’t want to imprint, I don’t want to all the sudden feel a attachment to someone. The thought of Sam and Emily flashed though my mind, I could feel my heart tightened in pain.
“Yes, Embry?” I asked him a little too sharp.
“Why won’t you look at anyone in the eye?”
I stayed silent as I continued to stare at my feet. What can I say? Because I am afraid of loving someone now? That I am afraid that the person I imprint on will imprinted on someone else?
“Come on, answer!” he said, his voice pleading a little.
“Because I don’t want to suddenly have attachment to anyone.” I said simply as I looked at him, carefully not in the eye.
“Why is that?”
“Because what?” he shot back at me. Fury boiled inside me, he can be so annoying and pesky.
“Because I just don‘t!” I said, finding myself looking in his eyes accidentally. Feeling shock going though me as I quickly looked away. Turning and running away as fast as I could. But it was obvious now, it was too late to back out.
I have imprinted on Embry Call.
On my way to the house, I bumped right into Seth.
“Whoa, are you okay, sis.” he asked. I nodded as I went passed him and went inside and jumped right on my bed. Stuffing my face right into a pillow. Feeling my heart still pounding against my ribcage.
I heard a slight knock before Seth walked in with Isa, his girl. Isa smiled shyly at me as she waved before brushing a piece of brown hair from her eyes.
“Hey Isa.” I murmured against the pillow, looking at her. Isa went over and sat down on the corner of my bed and looked at me.
“How have you been?” she asked. Isa had always been my best friend, we got closer when I joined Jacob’s pack. She understood me. I shrugged.
“Okay, I guess.”
Just then my phone buzzed. I reached over to my drawer and got it, looking at the one new message and it was from Embry.
Feeling all the sudden nervous, I pressed “Read” and looked at it.
Are u okay? U ran away fast?
I sighed as I texted back from under the blanket.
Fine, just tired.
He texted back almost a minute later.
Okay, u looked at me and it looked like you didn’t imprint, so don’t worry about imprinting. Just be normal.
U didn’t imprint on me right?
I hesitated as I began to text back before shaking my head.
No, of course not.
Oh good, it would have been awkward. He texted back
“Oh it is, alright.” I murmured softly for only myself to hear.
Yeah. texted back and turned off my phone and put it back on the face of the drawer. I popped my face out of the blanket to see them gone. Maybe for alone time.
I sighed as I say up in bed and thinking. But every time I tried thinking of something else, Embry’s chocolaty brown eyes appeared in my mind.
So this is how imprinting is. Almost always thinking about them.
Little did I know that my one little lie to Embry could change almost everything. One beautiful secret for only me to hear.
I lay back down on my bed and closed my eyes. Soon enough I fell into a deep sleep.
Chapter 1- Embry, me, and a quick look (^up there^)
So? how do you guys think?
Comments makes me happy :D
And I will!
omg...its soo...............................AWESOME!!! embry seth and jacob are my favorite characters!!!!soooooo love it!!! :)
I don't hate Jacob, but my favorite wolves are Leah, Seth and Embry :)
Ignoring Embry, Easy… NOT!
Since then I looked into everyone’s eyes while talking, well except in his eyes. When I see him, I just turned and walked the other way. Trying to avoid any accidental touches at the dinner table.
Well at least, my heart don’t hurt when I think of Emi and Sam anymore. I stared out into the water thinking. How much things have changed.
My hair grew longer and I now always put it in a braid and that I am in love with another werewolf who could imprint on someone else fast.
Just hope he won’t.
I slapped myself hard when I thought that. Suddenly feeling the urge to shift, change, whatever it’s called. I leaned out on the ground, feeling the swift change taking over my body. My smell sharpened, my vision crystal-clear and passed the twenty- twenty vision.
I growled as I looked up and sniffed the air before turning on my tail and ran. Feeling the wind blowing my fur. I almost stopped when I smelled a familiar smell. Sudden fear felt my chest as I turned and went the opposite way.
Hey Lee, I saw you. Why are you running from me? We haven’t talk in days!
I am not, Call! I snapped to him without even noticing, just as he went on front of me. I growled, digging my claws into the ground as I turned to go the other way. He just followed me and went on front of me again.
Yes, you are.
No.. I’m not
Ha! You paused! So you are!
I let out a sigh as I looked at him, my mind thinking of something to tell him.
I just want to be alone for now and think without some annoying pests like you. I thought as coldly as I could.
Ouch, that hurts.
I rolled my eyes and grunted as I licked my dry lips.
Oh, I am so sorry. I hissed sarcastically as I turned and ran away. My heart pounding against my ribcage, I hated this. Out of all people, I could have imprint on, I have to choose another wolf and someone like Embry too.
Just then, I heard a low whistle, I snapped my head to the right and found myself looking into green eyes. The person whistled again and reached out a hand.
“Come here, wolfie.” the person said clearly a girl. I snarled and took a step backward.
“I won’t hurt you.” she said with a smile as she walked closer to me. My eyes was slightly blinded by her reddish orange hair, clearly not dye.
Just go away! I hissed as I crouched, ready to launch at her and run away again, She looked at me in amusement, then shocked, then amused again.
“You’re a shape shifter too?” she squealed and grabbed one of my paws, I bit down on the urge to snarl at her again. Just a throaty growl that’s warning her.
But her words got me, she is one of us. Clearly not of our pack, but maybe… Sam’s?
I just nodded and glared at her. She squealed again and clapped her hands.
“That is so awesome, I have never met another female wolf before!” she said, her voice was high, then it was low. A hint of girlish in it. Bipolar wolf girl.
“What pack are you on?” she asked me, her voice turned low and cold. “Sam’s or Jacob’s?” Her voice brightened.
This girl is amusing to watch and listen to, I hate her already. Freaking chatterbox.
She rolled her eyes, her hands on her hips.
“Oh, okay,” she said, pausing for a moment. “I’m on Sam’s pack.”
I just nodded, finally having enough of this nonsense and turned and walked away from her. I could hear her following me, calling “hey!” the whole time. My head is seriously going to explore if she don’t fudging shut up.
I eyed my ruined clothes and picked it up and went back to the house. Quietly going up into my room and changed back and put on some clothes. T-shirt and sweatpants.
Trying my hair out of my braid and just turned it into a messy ponytail. I walked downstairs. Seeing the sun beginning to lower as I perked out the window to see the annoying girl there. She saw me and waved, a grin on her face.
Something is wrong with that girl.
I smiled when Embry came back, but quickly hide it with a straight line and looked at him with forced cold eyes. I watched as he tapped the girl.
Her eyes snapped away from me and she turned and looked at Embry with the small grin. She waved wildly to him, jumping slightly. His hair bounding up and down and looked like flickering flames.
Embry smiled at her, I could feel my face dropping as my straight line became a twitch of a hurt frown as I looked into his eyes and saw shock, then adornment as he laughed and talked with her. This time, a little more nervous than before.
My eyes began to get watery as I blinked, taking not to let him out. I turned from the window. But that wasn’t enough, so I let loose of the rope holding the small curtains from both side. Walking upstairs again and closing and locking the door behind me.
I grabbed my guitar, it was getting dusty now and it was unused for a long time. But now it is in my hands again, I felt comfort from it as I gently touched its strings. I tuned it, then I began plucking the strings, I grabbed my music from when I was in school and looked at them as I plucked my guitar, following the notes. It was scratchy, but I haven’t played it for a while.
Just as I began to finish, I heard a knock on my door.
“Who is it?”
“Isa,” she said as she walked in. Another shadow followed right behind her. “And Liam.” Her voice full of sarcasm as she sat down next to me. Liam just stood there, leaning against the wall and looking at me.
“What is it?” I asked curious as I tilted my head to my side.
“Oh, I am just wondering if we could stay over!” she said brightly.
