Beauty Of The Dark
Prologue:
People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that's rubbish. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they're afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they're wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It's all in how you carry it. That's what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you're letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain.
Chapter 1:
The sun streamed through the curtains illuminating everything into bright colours,a diamon bracelet was sparkling on the dresser of one Bella Swan.A 17 year old girl who lived with her Mother.Her parents had gotten divorced a little over 2 years go but it still felt like yesterday to her. No one knew what she went through,no one knew about that pain that was eating away at her from the inside. Bella thought it was her fault that her parents split up but time and time again they reassured her it wasn't.
Nothing was the same anymore,she didn't wake up to her Father's laugh or the sound of the TV on,all she woke up to now was the snoring of her mother from the next room.Bella's feet wiggled under the covers as she began to wake up.Today was the day that Bella Swan was moving away from the little town of Forks,Washington.There was nothing here for her.There was no purpose for her anymore apart from school and her mother,but yet that wouldn't even hold her back.Bella was finally going to be reunited with her father.
A few hours later,Bella was sitting in the kitchen,a bowl of cereal sitting on front of her and her bags all lined up against the wall.It was petrifying for her,she was leaving her mother but she had found someone else to love.It's not that she didn't love Bella it's just she spent more time in her job and with her new husband that Bella rarely ever saw her.So one night on a whim Bella called her Dad,they got talking and then the topic of when Bella was coming to see him again came up.Bella told her father that she didn't want to live in Forks anymore,it was a nightmare. Ever since her disastrous break up with Edward Cullen,there was nothing left for her.
So they arranged flights and Charlie got the guest room all done up for her.Bella smiled to herself and heard footsteps,she groaned.She was hoping to make a quiet escape.Bella wasn't the best with goodbyes."Morning,sweetie"Bella put on a smile for her mother,she hardly ever smiled these days. "Morning Mom"."You all set for leaving today?" Bella heard the bitterness in her Mom's bad and felt a wave of guilt wash over her,she felt bad for leaving her Mom,she was the one who raised her but then again if Bella wanted to be happy then she had to leave. "Yeah,I'm all set.I was just waiting for you to get up so I could say goodbye"
Bella had never been one to lie but she had to admit...she sounded pretty convincing there now."Aww,honey"Bella blinked as her Mom's arms were suddenly around her.Never in all of Bella's 17 years of life had her Mother hugged her,well there was always those awkward one armed hugs but not a proper bear hug."I'm going to miss you so much! You make sure to call me when you land okay"she looked her Mom in the eye for the first time and nodded,"I promise"
A horn sounded from outside and Bella grabbed her things,"Bye Mom!"she ran out quickly before her Mom could say anything else.The Taxi driver helped her get her things into the trunk of the car and soon enough they were on their way."Where to love?"."The Airport please"Bella slowly started to untangle her earphones."Where ya going?"."I'm moving back home with my Dad"."Ahhh,I'm sure you're pretty afraid then"."Just a little bit"Bella looked out the window and sighed.Goodbye Forks.Goodbye rain.Goodbye trees.Goodbye winding road.Goodbye Edward.Goodbye Mom.Her mental lists of goodbyes continued until the voice of the Taxi driver got into her thoughts."Where is it your moving too then?"
"Mystic Falls"

Chapter 2:
Bella's plane finally landed,after 4 hours of flying she was just glad to get out of the plane.Sitting on a place while watching Final Destination isn't a fun ride.She shook her head and walked into the airport,grabbing her luggage of the convierbelt before walking out to meet her father,she grinned as she saw him leaning against his police car,"Hey Dad"she pecked his cheek and gave him a bear hug.It seemed as if it was long ago that Bella had saw her Dad.He had grew his mustache out and his eyes were sparkling with excitment."Hey Kiddo"He chuckled,obviously seeing for the first time that Bella wasn't a kid anymore.
"Can we just go Dad"Bella laughed softly and put her things into the trunk of his car,"Sure.Come on"Bella got into the passenger side and watched as houses upon houses passed by."I thought it was just a small town?"she teased.Her father chuckled,"It is...Those are the country clubs.Some of the rich folk,like us,like to go and party every once and a while"Bella smiled and ran a hand through her hair."So how many people actually live her?"."Not that many,probably around 300,give or take.People keep moving because of the animal attacks"Bella looked at her Father and frowned,"Animal attacks?"."Yeah Bells,your not in Forks anymore"He chuckled.Bella nodded and looked out the window.Could it be possible? Could there actually be another set of vampires in Mystic Falls? She would just have to find that out.
"Here,let me help you Bells"Bella looked up at her Dad as he took some of her things,how she had missed him.She was finally glad that she was living with her father instead of her Mother.Maybe now she would have more freedom.It didn't take that long to move everything up into her bedroom,she grinned as she saw the view.Her window just overlooked the park and just at that moment the sun began to set,casting an orange glow on everything. A sudden 'caw' broke her out of her daydream,Bella turned to see a midnight black crow sitting on a branch outside her window,instead of flinching or trying to shoo it off.Bella stared it in the eyes,feeling intrigued.It was definately one of the most beautiful birds she had seen in a while.
Okay,so Bella was a bit of a freak when it came to nature but she couldn't help it.Her mother loved to rock climb and go on hikes.Her Dad is a police officer which pretty much means he is out in the open all the time.Sue her for loving nature.She grinned and watched the crow suddenly fly off into the sunlight. "Bye,pretty bird"she grinned and shut her window closed.Little did Bella know that she would be seeing that a lot more often from now. She had just entered herself into a violent competition with a guranteed end.But what ending she choose...that was her choice. -
