Best friends (Jake and nessie)
Chapter one
Take my breath away
The light was slowly creeping in through my window. I had been up for a total of 30 minutes.
I heard jake enter the front door around 6:00. He and my parents were down stairs talking. I slowly
got out of bed. I slipped on my black ripped skinny jeans, and blue tank top and my blue converses. I
headed down stairs. My hair was in a messy bun. Jake smiled as soon as i came down stairs.
" Look what the lock ness dragged in. " Uncle Emmett teased from the couch.
"Shud up" was the only thing i could think of this early.
Aunt Alice was looking at me disapprovingly. It was probably my clothes. I headed to the door, school
was starting today and i need to hunt.
"Where are you going?" my dad said.
"Hunting"
I ran out the door and headed into the woods. There was a clearing of elk by the bay. I took down a
large one. once my stomach was full and gushed full of blood. I sat on a
big rock out by the bay. I say to large masses moving across the bay. Were they bears fighting??
That's when it hit me, it was Seth and Leah. Seth must have said something wrong again. It seemed
like Leah had been getting frustrated with me a lot since i turned 17. I wonder why. I felt something
warm touch my shoulder. I jumped. Jake chuckled. I smaked his arm.
"Dont scare me"
"Sorry honey" It set butterflies in my stomach for some reason when he said that. Oh well i guess
"Why are you watching Seth and Leah fight"
"Its comforting"
"sure sure" Jake said. I looked at him he looked frustrated.
"what are you doing here" He looked hurt when i said that
"Do you want me to leave"
"no i meant why are you out here, i thought you were talking to mom and dad."
"Oh i came to hang out with you."
"Oh ok"
Finally Leah though Seth into the lake , and saw us watching her. Shes barked a laugh.
"I'm going to head home, gotta get ready for school. you ready?"
"Yeah i just gotta get the clothes Alice bought me."
"OK see you at the car."
" Sure sure" was his normal reply it sounded like he said something else but i just ignored it.
Chapter 2
Meeting those big green eyes
The Volvo was quiet as me and Jake drove to school. Mom was in collage dad worked as a doctor
with grandpa. School was going to be boring, Ive already learned anything these mortals could
possibly teach me. Yet somehome i was still egar to have my first day.
Jake was going, so was Seth and Leah. Uncle Emmett and aunt Alice were going to just in case. We
pulled into the parking lot. Humans stared of course, who were theses strangers. It was 3 weeks into
the semester. We started walking into
the school. Jake had third and forth period with me. uncle Emmett had first. The rest i had to my self.
We all had lunch together. The bell rang i gave Jake and Alice a hug
while the rest of us went to class. Uncle Emmett sat by me.
"Nessie, can we wrestle after school"
"You know that's not going to please mom"
"I'll handle Bella"
" Moms beaten you how many times and you've still lost" I giggled. Suddenly a tall brown hair boy
with bright green eyes walked in. He looked down at me and winked. I giggled again.
"your blushing" I hit his arm.
"I am not."
Class started and we all had to write a paper about our self's. I wrote about Jake my
best friend, the books i love to read, my parents my friends.
Although i couldn't mention that they were werewolf's and vampires. I turned in my paper before
anybody else, and so did Emmett.
"so what are you doing after school"
"Nothing why"
"Oh no reason just wondering"
I rolled my eyes. The bell rang for second period. I picked my bag up and headed to calcules. I sat in the back row, I was doodling on a piece of paper when i heard the
chair pull out next to me.
"Hey" I heard a soothing voice
"Um hi" i said looking in to bright green beautiful eyes.
"My names Michael" He smiled
" I'm Renesmee, nice to meet you."
"Pleasures all mine renesmee" He said my name so perfect.
Our teacher walked in and gave us a work sheet we had to work on together. His blood smelled off
a little. I wasn't understanding it, but i decided it was a good thing it was off.
"Do you want to hang out this weekend" He looked hopeful
"Sure, what are we going to do?"
"We can hang out at your place or go to the movies."
"Movies would be cool."
"cool its a date" the bell rang he winked
Jake was at the door, ready to walk me to lunch.
"Boyfriend??" he asked
"No its my best friend Jake" I replied.
" Oh well see you tomorrow"
I got to the door Jake smiled, we got to the cafeteria to fine Emmett,Seth, Leah, and aunt Alice
waiting in the corner of a room for us.
" Nessie you have a date???"
Everybody stared at me. I started to blush
"Kinda" Leah frowned at me. Ive gotta talk to her about that. Jake looked sad. what was that about.
"can i get you dressed for it?" she asked hopeful
"Um if you don't go over the top i guess" She was excited
The rest of the day went by fast, Jake was quiet in biology and in civics. I wonder what got into him.
Hes been acting all different since my 16th birthday party and then on my 17th he got even stranger.
Ugh boys i thought to my self. We pulled up in the driveway. Mom was at my door instantly.
"So who's the date?"
"Alice" i groaned to my self. Mom gave a im sorry look to Jake. Seriously is there something i
don't know. Dad was by mom in the same second.
"His name is Michael."
"Whens he meeting you?"
"Saturday at noon"
"Im going to lay down im super tired." I gave Jake a hug and then headed up stairs.
Edwards P.O.V
Nessie gave Jake a hug and headed up stairs for bed.
"She knows something is up Jacob."
"Really"
"She doesn't know you like her, and she still doesn't know your her imprint, but she can tell
you've been acting different"
"What should i do?"
I thought about it, I want nessie to have a choice, but i dont want her with anyone else.
"Well, i think you should wait"
" I dont know man."
"do you want my daughter or not?"
"Of course i do but..what if she doesnt feel the same."
My wife came up behind him. She hugged him and whispered in his ear.
" I promise you jake, shell love you."
"How do you know." He whimpered.
"If imprinting is anything like the love i have for edward then Im 100 % positive she will love you."
"Sure." was all he could say not even his usually playfull sure sure.

Chapter 3
Date
Aunt rose, and Aunt Alice were doing my hair and makeup. I let my mind run. Mom put her hand to my
cheek, She saw what i was thinking. (Jake) He hasn't talk to me in 4 days, well not all the way, he still
nod's and grunts, or says sure. but not the usual sure. My date was in an hour. Aunt Alice finally sighed
and said done. I got up, I def look like a human teenager, my eyes were chocolate brown, framed by
black eyeliner and big eye lashes, i had long denim jeans on, and a tantank top, with brown fur boots.
" Jake's just going through a hard time honey." My mom said, watching my facial expressions.
"I guess so." I could understand the feeling i had in the pit of my stomach, watching Jake sad never hurt
like this before, and my heart did this squeezing thing
when she talked about Jake.
"Trust me honey, things will work out sooner or later."
My dad came over to me, it was time for me to head over to the movies. He handed me the keys to his
Volvo. I Got in the car, i was half way around the corner when i saw
Jake run up to my dad. He looked like he was in a hurry. I stopped the car. He still looked sad. He looked
at mewith pleading eyes. Then my dad said something, i couldn't tell what it was i was kinda to far at that
moment.Jake gave me one more look and then headed into the woods with Seth.
I started driving again after i restarted my heart. I headed to the movies. When i pulled into the parking lot i
saw him waiting for me there. He was cute. Tall pale, but had a dark shade to him. His eyes swept my body
and then looked into my eyes
" you look beautiful."
"thank you." he gave me a quick kiss on the cheek.
We went into the theater. We were watching a horror, pretty cheesy. We giggled through most of it. I reminded
me of Jake and me watching movies together. This seemed
of somehow tho. The movie was good, The movie ended, and we headed out. we went into the field behind the
theater and he brought a blanket to look at the stars. I was
glad this is one of those things i could say ive done with Jake. We laid back and watched the stars twinkle. We
laid there talking about our family's , our best friends and our
child hood ,it was pretty nice. He rolled on his side and looked into my eyes, He started coming towards me,
He kissed me softly, It was cool to the touch, it was nice. We
made out for a while. Suddenly my cell phone was ringing.
"Hello" I breathed
"Renesmee Carlie Cullen, do you know what time it is???"
" Um mm no" I looked at the time it was 12 am.
"Oppsss ill be home soon i promise im on my way."
He chuckled.
"Time to go home."
"Yeah sorry" he kissed me once more , then his cell phone rang.
I couldn't help it i giggled.
"MICHAEL WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU" i could hear his dad screaming.
"Coming"
I gave him a kiss and got up, he walked me to my car. I got to the house to find my parents looking upset. They
were never upset with me.
"sorry i lost track of time"
"Yeah we'll discussed punishment later." my dad said
I knew dad was talking because mom could never raise her voice at me, Well except the time i almost bite
grandpa charlie. I giggled at my memory, dad stifled a chuckle.
Mom looked confused. she hated that her power was nothing more than protecting sometimes. I headed up to
my room. I laid in bed thinking about my day. My eyes drifted close.
***Nightmare***
I was standing in a meadow, Jake was at the far end of the meadow. I called to him but he ignored me. He turned and looked at me and then gave me a mean look. He
yelled "I HATE YOU RENESMEE CULLEN" Tears ran down my face. Suddenly a wolf came out of no where and attacked him. He had blood drenching down his face.
***END***
I shot up in my bed screaming. My room was very crowed all of a sudden. Mom had me in a cradle, the
only one that wasn't in my room was Jake. Seth and Leah were but not Jake. My tears came down my face
more. I could stand it my chest was in pain. Dad had a strained look on his face. I crawled out of my moms
arms and back on my bed, i shoved my face in my pillow.
"Nightmare" dad whispered
"Give her sometime" everyone started to leave.
"Nessie, do you want me to go get him."
"Please" was all i could whisper
Moments later, there was warm arms around me. I looked up to see jakes face.
"Oh Jake." I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"What happened?" he asked, the sadness wasn't all the way in his face anymore. It was replaced my
concern, worry, friendship, love, adoration. I reached up and
placed my hand on his cheek. Jake's head dropped.
"That would never happen" he whispered.
"Promise me" he looked into my eyes.
" I promise." He laid in my bed with me, till my eyes fell closed. -

Chapter 4
One month later
I was sitting on the couch with Jake watching cartoons. When the phone rang.
"Hello"
"Hey im coming over now."
"OK see you soon." I was still dating Michael. Jake was back to normal. Michael met the family,
a few weeks ago, Uncle Emmett threw some jokes at us.
Things with Michael were going ok. He wanted to hangout before school tomorrow.
His car pulled up. I ran out side. He hugged me and kissed my forehead. We headed
inside, he and Jake pounded fists like guys and we all watched tv on the couch. Mom came in and looked at
Jake. He threw her a sad but happy look. That sadness never left his face compleatly.
The sun was setting down. Michael had to go home. I walked him out to the car.
He kissed my cheek and left. I walked in the house. Mom and dad
were kissing my the window. I headed up stares. I knew jake was in my room laying in my bed. I always
thought about how Micheal would react to him being in my bed. I
opened my door. Jake smiled. I went to my closet and changed into short shorts
and a tank top and put my hair in a bun on the top of my head.
I laid next to him. He wrapped his arms around me. He looked lost in thought while playing with one of my
fallen curls.I pressed my hand to his cheek. He smiled. I was telling him i loved him,
How i felt while watching him.
" I love you too more than you'll ever know" He whispered. I laid my head on his chest.
He tightened his arms around me. My dreams that night where sweet. All of Jake, Except it was different
somehow. Jake and i were (dating) what how could this be..i don't have feelings for him.
"Nessie" Some one was rubbing my arm to wake me up.
"Jake??"
"Yes its me honey." I rolled over. He smelled woodsy.
I stretched feeling all my muscles unwind. Jake got up and went down stairs while i got dressed.
I got dressed in a lot of preppy clothes today. Alice did my makeup. Jake and i were driving, when we reached
school, micheal was no where to be found. He must be sick to day.
Fist period went by fast uncle emmett and i were joking all class period.
The teacher told us to hush mutipule times. The bell rang i headed to second period I got to my table
and notice that Micheal was still not here. The teacher started his lecture.
I got my cell phone out and text Jake
R:what are you up too
J:Gym
R:what are yall playing?
J: Football!!!
R: Woah football.
J: haha yeah
R: got to go ill see you third.
The teacher started walking down the isles.
" excuse me"
"yes dear?"
"May i use the restroom."
"sure dear heres a pass."
"thanks"
I headed to to the bathroom. I heard a girl giggling around the corner, but when i turned the corner.
I saw Micheal and Stacy, a girl in my biology class making out in the
hall. My heart dropped, Probably not as much as it should but it still hurt.
He didn't say anything he just stared at me. I turned the other direction and headed to another bathroom.
I got back into class when i got a text.
M: Are you ok?
R: no
M: sorry you had to see that, ive been meaning to talk to you.
R: If you just wanted to be friends then you could have said something.
M: I know i know.
R: You could have said something last night.
M:I know, i feel really bad about this.
R: Its ok, We can always just be friends.
M: Really just like that?
R: Yeah
M: Cool,friends then
R: Yeah
My teacher was coming by to get the work , i wrote down the answers , and knew they were right.
Jake saw my expression. I was still in shock.
"whats wrong" he tensed up
" Nothing"
The rest of the day went by in a blur. I was trying not to think about it to much, My first boyfriend cheated on
me. I guess im not like a normal vampire after all. I'm not as beautiful as i thought.
This was seriously getting to me, If he doesn't want me then neither would Jake. Wait why would i care what
Jake thinks. I shook it off. Jake was driving. He grabbed my hand, My stomach had butterflies.
No this cant be happening. He looked at me and smiled, i returned the smile.
We got to the house. my parents were outside mom and emmett were wrestling. Dad was watching worry
on his face every time uncle Emmett slammed mom into
the ground, but relief when she got back up and body slammed him back. I headed straight up stairs.
"whats wrong with her?" i heard my dad ask
"Your guess is as good as mine." my dad chuckled.
I laid on my bed listening to the crackes and booms the fight was making. I put my i pod in my ear and started
to listen to music. I was listening to every time we touch. The i pod took me into a deep sleep.
I woke up to Jake laying next to me with his arms around my waist. He was passed out. I giggled.
I kissed his cheek and maneuvered my way out of his arms.He woke up as soon as i was three feet way.
"where are you going."
"to get a glass of water ill be back" It was still very dark out side, I knew where my parents where. Grandpas.
" I sipped on my glass of water." Yuck. my mouth was so dry tho.
I got back to my room, Jake was still awake. The lights were off now. He lifted the blankets for me to rejoin him. I giggled, and my cheeks turned red.
I laid in his arms, facing the other way. I felt his breath on my neck. I thought maybe i should tell him why i was acting weird. He is kinda my best friend.
"Micheal and i broke up." I stated
"Really what happened?"
" I caught him kissing , that blond girl in our biology class." he growled
"when i see him im going too..." he let the thought trail off
" Dont please."
"why not."
"Just don't."
"Sure sure." I snuggled close to him I kissed his cheek and started to drifted off again.
I woke up to the sound of birds chirping. Jake was no where in sight , i rolled over, there was a note
Dear Nessie,
Be back soon, had to go wolf for an hour.
Be careful, and keep Leah busy please.
