The Twilight Saga

Ok so this is my third fanfiction. This is set around World War 2. Bella and Edward are in different social circles but soon fall in love despite their differences. They plan on moving out of Forks and marrying one another in secret. But their dreams are crushed when Tanya, Bella’s younger sister, grows jealous. This is a very sad story and I hope you all enjoy it. This is a bit of third person and first person from Tanya.

Forward: Tanya POV (present day)

I never understood children and their fascination with photographs. My silly granddaughter actually asked me when the world started to get color! I tried to explain to the five-year-old that we always had color the pictures just didn’t. She rolled her little blue eyes and muttered sure. I laughed a bit when she dressed up in my old clothes that were in my big trunk. Of course my eldest granddaughter, Samantha, wasn’t very interested in dress-up. Instead she searched old letters and smiled at the elegant script.

"Grandma?" Emma asked looking up at me.

God how I hated being called that. Couldn’t she just call me nanny? Why grandma? Every time I heard that name I thought of the only grandmother I got to know. Dorothy Swan the respectable wife and mother who always scolded me for my short dresses and flirtatious habits. Flighty, she called me. Well I was married with four children and six grandchildren. Flighty didn’t turn out too bad. Hah if that old bat could see me now!

"Yes dear." I answered smiling.

"Why did you wear all this stuff?" she asked putting on my favorite green hat.

"Because it was the latest fashion back then." I smiled poking her nose.

It was almost nine and I had to put poor Emma in bed. Maybe it would give me time to bond with Samantha. We were never on good terms since she thought of me as "the old bat" she is so much like me when I was her age.

"Time for you to go to bed." I laughed taking off the ancient hat and coat.

When I came back to the attic Samantha had a puzzled look on her face. She was still looking at the old, yellow, faded, letters. When she heard my she stared at me like a deer caught in the headlights of a car.

"Who’s Edward Masen?" she asked. "An old boyfriend?" she laughed.

Oh how I wished he was. Back then he was my everything, he was what I dreamed of. And that selfishness drove him away. The memory of his face brought me great pain.

"No. He was my sister’s." I answered settling myself in the old rocker.

"Which one?" she asked. Of course she had met Grace and Vivian before they passed.

"My sister Isabella." I never called her Bella. I didn’t have the privilege to. Only people who did good by her called her Bella.

"Who was she? Is she dead?" she asked. I nodded.

"Well what’s with this Edward guy?" she asked. She loved a good romance story.

"Stop fidgeting and I’ll tell you. It was over seventy-eight years ago. I had four older sisters, Victoria, Isabella, Grace, and Vivian-I was the baby in the family. We lived right here in Forks Washington, of course it was much different back then...
