Broken

Bella grew up with Ben in La Push. They were close and friends. Bella had a crush on Ben but never ever told him. One day she got told he died and she was just broken, she keeps remembering everything and is haunted by his presence. But the truth is was Ben was kidnapped and he turned into a Werewolf. What happens when he gets back and he Imprints on Bella?

Preface:Bella's Pov:

I was looked at the gravestone and I felt tears streaming down my cheeks. I fell to my knees as I broke down crying. Ben...he was gone..dead. there was no comforting me, there was no making me happy. Ben, he was just gone, I was never going to see him, never look into his brown eyes, never see his sweet smile, never be in his arms again. I knew he would never be there for me like he was all these years, since we were kids. It was like I could still feel his presence still around me.

Something warm wrapped around me and a soft tender voice whispered into my ears 'I'll never leave you alone Bells, you are not alone, I am here, always will be. Just look into your heart and you'll find me with you. I'll look after you, I promise"

I shook and I broke down even more. I buried my face in my hands "Ben" I sobbed out. I hugged my knees to my chest as I cried sitting in front of his grave stone. On it read:

Benjamin Peter Johnson

Died aged 23

In the loving memory of a son, friend and a brother. May he rest in piece. He will truly and dearly be missed by all.

I ran my fingertips down his name on the gravestone and sighed my shoulders heaving "I miss you Ben" I said, my voice a soft whimper. I missed him so much it hurt, it was killing me, tearing me from the inside out. Ben was everything I had in my life, he was always there for me and I was close to him, since we were kids, he was 6 years older then me but I was in love with him, but he never knew how I felt about him. It was too late now.

I would not make him dead really :), he was just kidnapped and seeing as no one found him he was pressumed dead. poor boy and poor Bella

Chapter 3~Ben's Pov:

As I waited for someone to open the door. I remembered the moment I truly fell in love with Bella, not because of me Imprinting on her but when I was still a human. I could still see it like it was yesterday and could still feel her soft warm lips against my cheek.

Flashback:

It was during the first day of summer about 4 years ago. I was walking on the beach and saw Bella, she was just spinning giggling enjoying the sun and the fresh breeze. I smiled, she just looked so beautiful, so elegant. The breeze carried her scent over to me, my nostrils were filled with the fresh scent or roses, lavender and raspberries. I closed my eyes inhaling her scent deeply. I felt my heart beating faster, it was pounding against my rib cage like it wanted to jump out any moment now. It was like the softest thunder ripping through the sky.

She was just so breathtakingly beautiful. I wanted to go over there and kiss her soft tender lips, but I did not want to freak her out. I took a deep breath as I straightened my self out and walked over to Bella. I tapped her shoulder and smiled "Hey there stranger" I said

Bella gasped and giggled "Ben!" she leaped in my arms hugging me tightly. She was so petite in my arms, she fitted into my arms like a missing piece of a puzzle that completed it. She belonged in my arms and I in hers. I hugged her back tightly spinning her around which made her giggle. "I missed you" she said as she looked at me into my eyes, her eyes were sparkling in the sun light.

"I missed you more and you know it." I said as I grinned widely. We always argued about who missed who more. She was just so adorable when she kept saying she missed me more, but I always won the argument, well she won once, I had no idea how but she managed to fry me when it came to the argument.

"No I don't know it" she said and kissed my cheek. Her lips were so soft and tender against my skin, softer then silk, as she pulled back, her lips slid down my cheek softly making me close my eyes as I felt my cheeks flush with a red color. In that moment I knew I was truly and deeply in love with Bella.

End of Flashback.

I heard some movement and then the door handle moved down and someone opened the door, It was Emily. She stopped dead in her tracks and it took her a few seconds to find her voice, she looked like she has seen a ghost "Be...Ben...you're....alive" she breathed out, her voice trembling.

I nodded "Yes, I am Alive" I said looking at her. "Wait did you all think I was dead?" as I remembered what Bella said to me in the woods, when I was in my wolf form. He's gone. Her words made my mind spin, the sadness and sorrow in her voice made my heart ache even more worse then it was aching right now.

Emily looked at me and then she looked down at the ground for a while then at me again and she nodded "Yes, I mean the Police tried to find you since you went missing and found no body so they pronounced you dead. There was even a funeral" she said, the last word echoed in my head, sending chills down my spine.

It took me a moment to recover "How is Bella coping?" I asked, I needed to know what was Bella's reaction to this. I felt my breath get in my throat.

Emily sighed "She's taken your death, or well pronounced death the hardest. " she said looking at me "She's just so broken,poor Bella. She cries, she barely does anything else. I never seen her like this." she said and looked at me again after she looked down at the floor. "I think maybe you should...well...talk to her."

Ben looked at her "I know, I saw her in the woods. Don't worry I was not in my human form. I got kidnapped by a bunch of newborns and phased, it scared them they ran off. " I said looking at her.

Emily looked at me in shock "Wait you phased?" she asked and I just nodded "What happened when you saw her in the woods?" she asked, I could hear the curiousness in her voice.

"I Imprinted on her and she walked over to me, she talked about me, about my eyes and she said I was gone." I said, my voice shaking. I knew Bella knew about the pack being wolves like the rest of us. She always knew, she just did not know I was one of them.

Emily nodded and she patted my back softly then we walked inside. I looked around and saw Bella was on the couch, she was curled up asleep. I closed my eyes and sighed deeply, she looked so broken, like Emily said. it made my heart ache seeing her like this. I walked over and sat on the chair and pulled the blankets more over Bella keeping her warm, I leaned down and kissed her head softly.

She moved in her sleep, She mumbled in something in her sleep, she must have been dreaming "Ben, don't leave me" it sounded like a whimper.

I stroked her hair softly "I am not leaving you Bella, ever. I promise" I whispered to her softly. I rubbed my arm softly as she was sleeping. Emily just watched and she smiled softly at me. I smiled at her a bit. The rest of the pack just stared at me in shock, I did not need to explain to them anything as Emily filled them in on what happened to me.

"Congrats" Sam said, he was talking about me Imprinting on Bella.

"She's a lucky girl" Jared said patting my back

"Welcome back" Jake, Seth, Embry said with Leah

"Welcome to the pack" The others said.

I smiled at them softly and patted their backs as well "It's good to be back" I said then I saw Bella was waking up, I looked at her as her eyes opened, she blinked a few times before her eyes settled on me.

Bella stared at me like she thought I was a dream or something, she then opened her mouth to say something "B....b...Ben...you're....alive" she said, well she sobbed it as she broke down from the shock.

I wrapped my arms around her rubbing her back softly "Shh, its okay. I am here now" I held her in my arms and kissed her hair softly "I am not going anywhere" I said and rocked her softly in my arms as she clinged onto me tightly like she was scared I might turn into dust or something.

"I thought I lost you" she sobbed into my chest, her shoulders shaking as huge sobs escaped from her.

I pulled back and cupped her face in my hands wiping her tears away "I would never, ever leave you like that Bella. Never" I said and kissed her forehead softly. I held her close to me "I am here, and I am not going anywhere I promise." I said and kissed her cheek softly holding her in my arms. I buried my face in her hair as she buried her face in the nape of my warm neck. She stayed in my arms as I kept rocking her softly.
