Giovanni’s POV

As I sat on my throne next to Antanasia, I thought back onto the events that occurred with Jane. I had betrayed my beloved and she would surely try to destroy me if she found out. I looked to Jane who briefly looked up to me and grin. That grin sent my head spinning. I could not tell if Jane had a plan to destroy us all or truly wanted help me save everyone.
“Giovanni, my love, what is bothering you so?” Antanasia asked me realizing the worried look that spread across my face.
“Nothing my dear! I worry about these creatures and what we are going to do!” I told her with a crooked smile. Just then Xanthos walked up and knelt before the throne.
“We have received a message from Forks just now, your Highness, it seems that the creatures have are attacking Forks trying to reach all the vampires that are there. Carlisle called and asked for us to pick them up with the jet. They cannot wait. They are under attack.” Xanthos announced to us.
“Nor would we want them to wait! Xanthos, please return Carlisle’s call and tell him will we be there by dawn tomorrow.” Antanasia replied.
“My dear, I will need you to go to Forks. I cannot leave Alec and Angela alone. She is only hours old and may require my guidance. Jane, you will go with Giovanni! Felix and Demetri will also accompany you.” Antanasia instructed us all. I wondered if I would be able to speak with Jane. I looked up to her and she had a wide smile. She looked eager to have some alone time with me. This made me lust for her more. I could not help this hold she had over me. I would have to shield us constantly from Edward. Otherwise, he would know our secret and he could use it against us. I am sure none of the Cullens would be very impressed with my new obsession over Jane. The detest they have for Jane is obvious, as it was in Volterra. Edward and Bella especially had a bad taste in their mouth for Jane. I have this distinct feeling that it is mutual. I hoped that Jane’s intentions were as she said they were in the tower. I would find out exactly what her intentions were if it came down to me having to defend the Cullens from Antanasia. I sighed loudly, forgetting where I was.
“My dear, you do not wish to go?” Antanasia quickly asked me.
“No, my love, I want to go! I am just very worried about these creatures! I am sorry if my worries have upset you.” I replied back with sympathy. I knew if I did not assure Antanasia she would start to wonder what I was really worried about. That would only cause problems for me. I would be followed constantly and not be able to search the scrolls.
“My love, we will find a way to destroy these creatures.” Antanasia grinned sinisterly. I was taken back by her grin. I wonder what she knew that I did not.
“Go prepare to leave! You will leave in one hour!” Antanasia instructed us. I stood up to leave. “My love, are you forgetting something?” Antanasia said holding out her hand.
“No my love!” I said as I gently picked up her hand and kissed the back of her hand. “I love you, my dear!” I said to her as I walked out of the room with the others. Jane was laughing like a mad woman when we left the room.
“What is so amusing?” I asked angrily. She looked at me in my eyes as Felix and Demetri walked ahead of us.
“You still do not see it!” She said laughing still.
“See what?” I asked even more irately.
“You are just a toy to her! Just like we are! You simply have more privileges because your gift is more indispensable to her! When are you going to wake up and realize that she used you in every way that Aro used us!” Jane whispered with spite in her voice.
“You are wrong! She loves me deeply!” I snapped at Jane. Jane’s eyes went wild and then she looked at me with honesty.
“She does? If that were the case, why did she avenge Constantin? You answer that question!” Jane said with venom in her words. Her words stung my conscience. It is true that Antanasia wanted vengeance, but she wanted revenge for the destruction to her empire and herself as well.
“You will never understand!” I said infuriated.
“Oh no, I suppose you would think that! I have come to understand a lot! I understand more then you realize! Maybe you should think about that!” Jane barked at me sharply. She turned to walk away and I grabbed her and my lips fell upon hers. I could not help this feeling. I tried to fight it with all my might. Jane fought me off.
“Are you crazy?” She squealed at me. I realized at that moment that this desire was harder to fight then I expected.
“Maybe I am! And maybe you should think about that!” I said softly. I walked away and thought about her last comment, Are you crazy? I must be. This was so dangerous. I didn't know if I could trust Jane or Antanasia. I put myself in the worse possible situation ever.



Bella’s POV

We all awaited anxiously for news on Sam’s well-being. The Savonauts were still moaning and lurching impatiently around the forest. This would make hunting difficult. Carlisle, Alice, Edward, Renesmee, and I still had to hunt. We were waiting on Edward and Jake to get back from the hospital. I wondered how Sam was doing. Poor Emily must be just torn to pieces. I do not know how I would cope if something like that happen to Edward. Edward and Jake arrived back to the house a few hours later.
“Carlisle, said it was Sam’s spleen! He was able to stop the bleeding and hopefully he will pull through!” Edward told us all. I was so thankful for this news.
“Where are Leah and Jaiden?” Esme asked noticing they did not return with Edward and Jake.
“They should be along shortly. Carlisle was going to check the baby with an ultrasound.” Jake informed us.
“We should go hunt!” I said listening to the sounds of the Savonauts getting closer. Edward nodded his head in agreement.
“Embry is checking the perimeter. He should be back soon.” Seth told us. Embry walked through the door after about ten minutes later.
“They are still about a hundred miles away! I would suggest you hunt with each other and do not leave one another’s side at all!” Embry stressed to all of us.
“Well, let’s get going! We will have to make due with whatever we can find.” Edward announced as we all headed for the door.
“There was a big herd of elk coming this way! Stay Northeast and you will find them!” Embry told us.
“Thank you!” I said as Alice, Jasper, Edward, Renesmee, Jake, and I headed out the door. The others would hunt when we got back. Esme, Rose, Emmett, and Carlisle would all go together. I could smell the elk that Embry was talking about. I could also smell the horrible stench of the Savonauts filling the air. I made sure my shield was around everyone. Jake tried to make Renesmee’s hunting as fun as he usually did. They were competing for the biggest kill. I took down a couple of elk no problem. Edward had his fill. Alice and Jasper managed to drain a few also. I noticed I could hear Renesmee laughing. I could hear Jake teasing her and complaining about how she always won. Then there was a loud wail from directly behind us. I rushed to Jake and Renesmee. Jake was cornered, with my daughter, by one of the Savonauts. Renesmee cried out in fear. I didn’t have time to think, I just reacted. I could feel Edward by my side. The Savonaut roared at the top of his lungs at Jake. Then he looked at Renesmee and started to back away, but not before he let out another roar. Renesmee cried for me.
“Mommy!” She cried loudly.
“Nessie stay calm!” Edward instructed her. I flung my shield tighter around Jake and Renesmee. Only two trees separated them from the angered Savonaut. We could hear more coming in the distance.
“Jake, when I tell you run, you run!” Edward firmly told him. I looked to him with horror on my face. The Savonaut acted as though it feared Renesmee, but at the same time it would not just leave. My daughter cries for me ripped my heart. I flung my shield at the Savonaut and he stumbled backwards.
“Now Jake! Now!” Edward screamed. Jake darted pass the Savonaut. The Savonaut quickly regained his balance and swung for Jake. He knocked the tree top off . The tree top was falling onto Jake and Renesmee. I took my shield and threw it back at the Savonaut. All of a sudden there were three more. I could hear Renesmee’s cries get louder, but the Savonauts were coming pass the perimeter. They were heading right for us and Renesmee and Jake were caught right in the middle.



Angela’s POV

This Alec was being very helpful and I had no idea why. Jane apparently did not approve of me. I believe that she hated me. I wished I had never come to Romania. I wanted to cry, but I could not. My memory was getting hazy. It felt like someone had clouded my ability to see the past.
“Angela, sweetheart, are you okay?” Alec asked me probably because of the obvious look of grief on my face. He was teaching me to hunt animals.
“Your sister is Jane?” I asked him with a shaky voice.
“Yes, Jane is my sister! She is my twin sister.” He replied. “Why do you ask about Jane?” He continued to ask me.
“I ask because it is apparent she does not like me! I did not ask for this to happen!” I snapped back at him with a hiss.
“Jane is upset because for once I have found something worth loving.” He said to me very softly. His hand caressed my cheek and before I could resist, our lips were locked. This kiss was so full of ecstasy and longing. I slowly pulled away to look at this most gorgeous creature. Creature, funny I was a creature, a sick, sadistic creature. I want to cry again, but instead I could smell Alec’s sweet breathe upon my lips and then my neck.
“Please!” I managed to say quickly. He pulled away and looked at me. His eyes were ablaze with wanting and needing.
“Anything, what is, my love?” He asked smiling at me. I could not help but to let out a sheepish smile.
“I was wondering if I may get to know you better…..before….umm..you know!” I whispered to him shyly.
“Anything you need! I will not force you!” He answered willingly. We found two bears and before Alec could show me I had mine drained.
“Well, that was impressive! You are a glorious vampire!” Alec boasted. I was glad he believed so, but I would much rather be human. We headed back for the castle. As we were walking down the hall to the throne room, I could hear someone arguing. We turned the corner and two vampires were locked in an embrace. Alec quickly snatched my arm and pushed me against the wall. His lips met mine and once again the euphoria of the moment erupted between us. I wasn’t even sure of whom it was that I caught a glimpse of kissing. In that instance, a memory came back, flooding the passion out of my mind. I had a boyfriend. His name was Ben. I pulled away from Alec and he looked a little disturbed.
“Alec, I had a boyfriend I loved very much. This will not be easy.” I explained for interrupting our moment.
“I will work at getting your love, Angela! The first time you spoke, I fell in love with you!” Alec replied to me with the most honesty I have ever heard from anyone. We turned the corner and whoever it was kissing in the hall was gone. We walked into the large throne room.
“Ah, Alec and Angela! How was your hunting trip?” Antanasia asked us eager to see that we returned.
“It was very successful! She is absolutely brilliant!” Alec gloated to Antanasia. I noticed that I some blood on the collar of my shirt. I sighed at it.
“No worries, my love! We will get you some new clothes!” Alec tried to soothe my embarrassment.
“Yes! Alec your sister has left with Giovanni, Felix, and Demetri. They are on their way to Forks. They are going to pick up the Cullens and everyone else.” Antanasia announced to him. “I felt that we should stay here because of Angela being a newborn.” She further revealed. My head flooded. Forks? The Cullens?
“Forks, Washington? Bella and Edward Cullen?” I asked still trying to fit the pieces together.
“Yes, do you know our Cullens?” Antanasia asked me. What and why would the Cullens be coming here?
“Yes, I am from Forks! I went to high school with the Cullens and Bella is one of my best friends! I am confused!” I blurted out.
“The Cullens are vampires. Bella is a newly turned vampire as well. Well, almost a year now.” Alec explained to me. The room was spinning and I felt anger rush over me. I could feel my body start to flutter. The gasps filled the room. What were they gasping at?
“What is wrong?” I quickly whispered in Alec’s ear. He looked around.
“Angela, where are you?” He asked with fright. What did he mean where was I? My body felt as if it was tingling all over.
“Angela, make yourself known!” Antanasia demanded. What was she talking about? I was right in front of her.



Leah’s POV

My excitement could not be contained. I was going to have three babies. I could ask for anything more then that. I wanted to shout my happiness to the world, but then again I was afraid of the consequences. I was simply glowing, I was so happy. Then Jaiden brought me back to reality. Our babies might be born in Romania, instead of at home with our family and friends. I was still happy, but it worried me to go to Romania. I didn’t know if I could phase or not. I almost felt helpless. Jaiden would never let me fight nor would any of the Cullens. Then again my first priority was to bring these babies into the world safe and sound.
“Leah, we will have to keep you out of harm's way! I will explain to Antanasia!” Carlisle said very insistently.
“Yes, Leah, this will have to become our fight!” Jaiden said lovingly.
“I understand! I wonder where these powers are coming from? Do you think they could be coming from the babies?” I asked curiously. I had developed three powers.
“Possibly, I am curious myself.” Jaiden replied. “I wonder why it took so long to freeze you. Maybe you are protected by the babies!” Jaiden added coming to some conclusions of his own.
“That could be exactly right!” Carlisle said. His name was being paged over the intercom. He was being called to ICU.
“SAM!” I immediately said out loud. I started to tense up again.
“Leah, it is okay! I told them to page me overhead when Sam started to arouse.” Carlisle said trying to ease my thoughts.
“Okay! Wait! He is awake? May I see him then?” I asked. Jaiden looked at me and nodded in agreement with my decision.
“Yes, but maybe we should let Emily go first!” Carlisle replied kindly thinking of Emily.
“Of course, we will meet you out in the waiting room. I am sure she is terrified!” Jaiden said helping me up off the gurney.
“Sure, let me go check on him and see if he up to visitors. I will meet you in the waiting room.” Carlisle agreed while we left his office. I had my ultrasound pictures in my hand. I decided that it was probably best that I put them in my purse. Jaiden looked at me curiously.
“I don’t want to upset Emily anymore then she already is.” I explained my actions.
“I would think she would be happy and maybe it would lift her spirits. Whatever you think, I am with you.” Jaiden replied quickly. We walked over to Emily in the waiting room.
“They just paged Carlisle to ICU! What is going on?” Emily hysterically said.
“He told them to page him when Sam woke up. He is going to check on Sam and then he will let us know if he is up to visitors.” I explained trying to calm her nerves. She clutched her hand to her chest like her heart was falling out. I am sure that is exactly what it felt like. We waited patiently with Emily for Carlisle to return.
“So, how did the ultrasound go?” Emily asked hesitantly. I wasn’t sure what to tell her.
“It was great! We are going to have triplets!” Jaiden blurted out before I could have another thought. I waited to see her reaction, but a great big smile crossed her face.
“I am really happy for you two! Did you get any pictures?” Emily asked us. I slowly pulled them from my purse and handed them to her.
“The Clearwater line carries on in these three special babies. Your father would be so proud, Leah! Was your mother excited?” Emily’s question snapped me back into reality again.
“Oh no, I forgot to call her!” I exclaimed. Carlisle was heading towards us. Emily gripped my hand tightly.
“He is still stable. He is doing really well. I also noticed his ability to heal himself has returned. He had some cuts and bruises that have seemed to heal. Emily, you may go in and see him. He is asking for you.” Carlisle said to Emily giving her the good news. I smiled at her and squeezed her hand. She stood up and then turned back to me.
“Thank you Leah! I know you would have kept your promise to Sam! You would of taken care of me! Go call your mother!” Emily said to me with a smile I haven’t seen in a long time. I smiled back at her.
“Tell Sam I said to get well soon!” I replied to her. She nodded and walked with Carlisle to go see Sam. Jaiden handed me his cell phone. I could not wait to talk to my mom. I walked outside of the hospital to make the call.
“Hello!” My mom’s voice answered on the other line.
“Hi Mom! It’s me….” I started to say, but then was interrupted.
“Leah, these creatures are getting closer and it sounds like Jake is howling! Do you hear it?” She said to me frantic. I listened and I could hear Jake’s howl, but it was very low and faint.
The phone dropped from my hand and I was running before I knew what was going on. I hit the woods and I phased. What I could still phase? I howled back so Jake could hear me? I could hear his thoughts! He was trapped with Nessie in the woods! He was surrounded by the Savonauts.



Jacob’s POV

I was trapped with Nessie on my back. Edward was holding onto Bella. He knew if he let her go she would be dead. I howled for the rest of the pack. I was immediately joined in my head by everyone. They all became my pack when Sam was injured. I was cornered now surrounded by three angry Savonauts. Nessie was crying loudly. I would never let anything happen to her. They seemed to not want anything to do with Nessie. The louder she cried they would step back.
‘What happen?’ Seth yelled at me. Damn that kid was loud. ‘Sorry Jake!’ Seth said quickly.
‘What do you want us to do Jake?’ Paul said eagerly.
‘I need you all to distract them so I can get Nessie out of here!’ I instructed. ‘Do not get to close! We don’t need anyone getting hurt!’ I said very sternly.
“Jake, please save my baby! Edward, please let me save them!” I could hear Bella’s desperate pleas to Edward.
‘Don’t you dare let her go! You hear me Edward!’ I thought so he could hear me. I was huddled between the trees. Then a voice I never expected to hear.
‘Jake, where are you at?’ Leah voice sounded concerned in my head. Leah phased? How? I think we were all asking ourselves the same question. Then I thought maybe she isn’t pregnant. I would feel really bad if she wasn’t.
‘No worries! I am pregnant! We are having triplets!’ Leah sounded so happy. Then I realized the she was closer then I realized.
‘Edward, you watch out for Leah!’ I instructed to him. I wouldn’t let any harm come to any of my girls, not even blondie if she was here.
‘Your girls? Ha!’ Leah laughed loudly. ‘I might be able to help you Jake.’ She said smugly. Then the Savonaut on the left of me let out a roar so intense, that my hair stood on end. I could feel Bella trying to fling them back. Nessie shrieked and screamed louder and the Savonauts stopped for an instance.
‘They do not like Nessie! They are scared of her!’ I said so everyone could hear me. The rest of the pack was standing by Edward, Bella, Alice and Jasper.
‘Jake, I am going to try something! I hope it works!’ Leah said to me. Her thoughts were tense and angered. Then the Savonauts froze. I wasn’t frozen, but they were.
‘Run now! I don’t know how long I can hold it!’ Leah yelled at me. I ran beneath their legs with Nessie clutching my fur tightly. The Savonauts started to come to as I dashed out. We made it out. Bella grabbed Nessie and cradled her as she ran.
“Thank you! Oh Thank you!” Bella said to all of us. Edward patted my head and Leah’s head.
‘I got to head back to Jaiden! I left him at the hospital!’ Leah said showing us how she left so quickly.
“Leah, Jaiden is on his way back to the house. Alice had a vision!” Edward told her.
‘Oh good!’ Leah sighed relieved that he was on his way back. Leah went over everything that happened at the ultrasound and with Sam.
‘Wow! Leah three babies! I am just relieved that Sam is going to pull through!’ I said to her.
‘So, mom should be shocked!’ Seth said laughing. ‘We really are dogs!’ He added laughing some more. We all laughed at this. The Savonauts reached the next perimeter, which was about seventy-five miles away still. We reinforced another perimeter.
‘Hey Leah, I am sure you need to go to the bathroom!’ Jared joked with her. We headed back to the house. Carlisle was back with Jaiden. Charlie and Sue got there as we did.
Jaiden took one look at Leah in wolf form and you could tell he was shocked.
‘Edward, can you ask Alice to get me some clothes!’ Leah asked embarrassed.
“Sure thing!” Edward said as he went to talk to Alice.
“Leah, what in the world? Well, at least we know you can still phase, but what will it do to the babies?” Jaiden asked her not too pleased.
“Jaiden, she saved Nessie and Jake!” Bella said to Jaiden.
“How?” Jaiden asked confused.
“We all went hunting and Jake was cornered by the Savonauts with Nessie! Leah, froze the Savonauts so Jake and Nessie could get away!” Bella answered Jaiden. Alice brought Leah some clothes and we all phased back.
“I am so sorry, Jaiden! I heard Jake’s howl and before I knew what I was doing, I phased!” Leah explained to Jaiden.
“I am just worried about you and the babies!” Jaiden replied.
“Babies?” Bella asked in shock. Leah started to laugh at Bella’s reaction.
“Yes, triplets!” Leah said exuding happiness. Her whole face was literally glowing.
“The Savonauts are getting closer. Rose, Emmett, Esme, and I still need to hunt!” Carlisle said.
“A couple of us will go with you, so you can concentrate on hunting!” I said motioning to Embry and Quil to come with us.
“Yes! Thank you Jake! Leah go talk to your mother! Everyone start to say your goodbyes! We will be leaving soon!” Carlisle said to all of us. I thought of my dad.
“Charlie, would you go get my dad and bring him back here please?” I asked him. I couldn’t leave without a goodbye this time.

Jane’s POV

What was he thinking? Anyone could have seen that happen! What had I gotten myself into? I could handle it. This almost gave me enough satisfaction to realize that I had him right where I wanted him. I knew that Giovanni was no fool though. I knew that he suspected that my feelings were not as strong as his are for the Cullens. I would have to work especially hard at trying to convince him that I was on his side. We boarded the jet and I sat by myself, making sure I left a seat open next to me. I sat in thought about Alec and that sad excuse for a vampire that he was infatuated with. I could fix that easily. I gazed up to see Giovanni standing before me. Felix and Demetri whispered between themselves. I was sure that Demetri was informing Felix of our brilliant plan to overthrow Antanasia. I gestured to Giovanni to sit next to me. I smiled slightly.
“Why did you pull away from me earlier?” He whispered so only I could hear him.
“Are you trying to have both of us destroyed?” I whispered back with seriousness. “Your beloved Antanasia would have us both burned!” I added. His eyes fixed to mine. I held his gaze. I had to admit his eyes captured me and I started to feel something for him. I would not let my feelings come between my plans for domination. The luminous glow of his red eyes made me want to taste his sweet breath upon my lips. I broke my stare, something I rarely do. Most vampires look away from me before I do them. This was different. Maybe this would be fun on two levels. Maybe Demetri would become jealous and realize I am not just his toy.
“I simply cannot resist you! Now I have to protect us both from Edward!” He spoke with affliction in his voice. I sat back realizing this may be easier then I suspected.
“Why is it you betray Antanasia?” I asked very confident. He was stunned by my question. He pondered his thoughts for a moment.
“I love her. I just think that she is not completely honest with me. My intentions were never to betray her, but to protect the Cullens. I just can’t help that I now feel for you also.” He answered very honestly. I was amused by this answer. There was still a challenge in all of this. I loved a challenge. His love for Antanasia would be a problem. I would have to make him despise her. This is where the challenge would come from. I would work my charm and fill his head with doubts.
“So do you love me?” I asked very innocently. “ I don’t know if I could take it if you did not feel the same way for me that I feel for you!” I added just enough information so he would buy my devotion to him. He was confounded and I could tell by the look on his face.
“How do you feel about me?” He asked me ever so amazed by my comments. I looked back quickly to make sure Felix and Demetri were deep in conversation, making sure it looked like our secret was being kept. I slowly and gently slid my hand into his lap, rubbing his thigh. I made sure my lips were inches from his. He squirmed slightly, holding on to my stares and then I said it very seriously.
“I am in LOVE with you!” I let the words slip between my lips with just enough accentuation to the word love.
“I Love you too!” He said almost instantly. I had him right were I wanted him, but I wondered if what I just declared might become the truth.



Edward’s POV

Charlie left to go get Billy Black. Carlisle went hunting with the others. I noticed that I could not hear Bella’s thoughts. She obviously did not want me to fret over her. I went into the house and found her looking through the bags that were packed. Nessie was sleeping in her arms.
“Would you like some help?” I asked her trying to get her to open up. She turned her back to me and just kept searching. She was upset with me.
“Bella, I knew that Jake would save her!” I said gently touching the small of her back. I knew that if she could cry she would right now. That was the most fear I have ever seen on Bella’s face.
“I know you meant well, but she is our daughter! I felt so helpless! My shield was not working! If Leah hadn’t come along who knows….” She stopped in her sentence.
“Bella, I was scared too. I knew Jake would save Nessie and himself. I am sorry if I have hurt by trying to keep you safe.” I replied to her with sympathy. I knew that she was blaming herself for letting Jake go off with Nessie.
“Why do you think my shield does not work against them?” Bella asked disturbed by the fact.
“I don’t know. There is much we do not know about the Savonauts. The documents say that they once walked the earth. They have to be summoned. The ancient scrolls hold all the answers. I wonder why they were so frightened by Nessie though.” I said to Bella. As I was talking, I had another vision. I was walking down a long hallway. At the end of the hallway were tall gold embossed doors. I recognized Cosmas and Daciana. They were ahead of me. They pushed the great doors open. Antanasia sat to the left of a male vampire now. The male vampire was seated in the head throne.
“Daciana, my lovely daughter, how are you?” The male vampire asked. He looked like an ancient.
“I am well Father!” Daciana replied. So this was Antanasia's Father.
“Have you done what I asked?” The male vampire asked her.
“Yes, Father! The scrolls on the creatures lay in a secure place. Only I know where they can be found!” Daciana answered him.
“Cosmas, I trust not even you know?” He asked Cosmas.
“No, Xavier! She has not told me! She has kept her word and your orders secure from everyone!” Cosmas replied. I could tell he was not pleased.
“Father, why is it that you trust Daciana and not me?” Antanasia asked Xavier
“Foolish child! Since Rodika has left, you will rule one day! I want to make sure that no one knows how to raise these creatures! Insolent child, do not question me!” Xavier snapped at Antanasia.
“Father, I will never tell anyone!” Daciana said smiling back at her sister.
“I know my child! Go be with your husband! I know that you must have missed him so!” Xavier told Daciana.
“Thank you Father!” Daciana said as she bowed to her Father.
“Cosmas, always take care of my daughter! Do you hear me?” Xavier said narrowing his eyes at Cosmas. I was confused by this. Did Xavier know that Antanasia would kill her sister?
“I will always protect her!” Cosmas replied back to Xavier as he bowed. They then headed out of the doors. I could see Daciana and Cosmas whispering as the vision ended.
“Edward, are you okay?” Bella asked me. I noticed that my head was in her lap. What in the world happen?
“Why am I laying in your lap?” I asked her very perturbed. She looked like she did not want to tell me.
“It was like you fainted! It must have been a strong vision of the past!” Bella said to me. I could tell she was worried. Nessie stood next to Bella. She was worried also. Her hand was to Bella’s face showing me she was suddenly woken to me fainting and Bella catching me.
“I wonder if Cosmas really knows?” I whispered.



Charlie’s POV

I pulled up to the Black's residence. Sue rode with me. It has been a while since I talked to Billy. He really did not approve of my friendship with Sue. I always wondered if he was jealous. I never did ask Jake nor would I. I hesitated from getting out of the police cruiser.
“Charlie, I can go get Billy. If you want me to.” Sue asked with her kind smile. It wasn’t fair to her to lose Harry. It wasn’t fair to the kids either. That is not why I started to see Sue, it wasn’t out of pity. She filled the void in my life and I filled the one in her life. We enjoyed each other’s company and got along great.
“No, Sue, it is about time I go talk to that stubborn man.” I said patting her hand as I leaned in to give her a peck on the cheek.
“He isn’t the only one that is stubborn.” She mumbled under her breath as she laughed. I rolled my eyes and stepped out of the cruiser. I adjusted my shirt and walked to the door. The door opened before I could knock. Billy sat in his wheelchair looking at me.
“Charlie.” Billy greeted me with a reluctant look. I stepped inside the door. I looked at Billy and I missed being around him, however, that thought would stay with me.
“Billy.” I greeted him back with a nod.
“What brings you here Charlie?” Billy asked me curious as to why I was there so late.
“Jake asked me to come and get you before he leaves for Romania.” I informed him quickly.
“Romania? Oh I see! So they have come back for help.” Billy murmured to himself.
“Who came back for help? The VAMPIRES?” I said letting him know that I was exactly aware of what he was talking about. His mouth flew open and no words came out.
“Yes, I know! I am pretty ticked that no one told me!” I said to answer his questions that were unspoken. Before he could answer my phone rang. I looked at the number and realized that it was the Weber residence.
“Hello! This is Charlie!” I answered.
“Charlie? Mike, Eric, Ben, and myself are going on the next flight to Romania.” Mr. Weber informed me.
“Hmmmm……I don’t know if that is such….” I was interrupted before I could finish my sentence.
“Charlie, if it was Bella, I bet you would be doing the same thing!” Mr. Weber said to me, but sadly my daughter was going to Romania and possibly will find Angela before Mr. Weber and the rest will.
“I suppose you are right! If it were Bella, I would…..” I tried to finish, but I was cut-off again.
“Then don’t try to talk me out of it! I thank you for all your help!” Mr. Weber said to me.
“You are welcome! Have a safe trip!” I said before hanging up the phone. Billy was staring at me.
“What was that all about?” Billy asked trying to figure out my conversation.
“Angela Weber went to Romania for some trip for World History and has been missing for two days.” I replied to Billy. “Mr. Weber and a few others are going to look for her and her class. The problem is Bella thinks something happen to them or maybe they are vampires.” I finished.
“Well, who is going to break the news to Mr. Weber?” Billy asked me kind of laughing.
“Don’t look at me! I know nothing about vampires!” I said back to him. “Are you almost ready old man?” I asked him smiling.
“You are the old man! Keep it up Charlie 'cause pretty soon you will be riding in one of these things next to me!” Billy told me laughing now too.
“Nope! I am going to be a vampire! Seems like the hip thing to do now of days and since you have to be born a werewolf, I figure that a vampire might be easier!” I told him as we both laughed.
“It may be easier, but Jake says that vampires stink!” Billy roared as we headed out the door. I looked at him dumbfounded.
“Don’t worry! I will explain on the car ride back to the Cullen’s house. I take it that those loud noises coming from the woods would be the reason they are going to Romania.” Billy said no longer laughing.
“I assume you are right.” I said agreeing with him. I know that I wanted Bella to stay, vampire or not.


Emmett’s POV

Hunting so close to the house and with so much noise was not easy. What I wouldn’t give for a grizzly bear right now. As we got back to the house, Charlie was pulling up with Billy Black and Sue Clearwater. It was time for everyone to get mushy and say their goodbyes. Bella looked a little unhinged, just the way I like her.
“Do not mess with her today!” Edward came up from behind me and warned me. I just ignored him.
“I am serious Emmett! She is definitely not in the mood for any of your nonsense!” Edward warned me again. I almost felt sorry for my dear sister-in-law, but almost didn’t count.
“What is Edward’s problem?” Rose came up and asked me.
“What is Edward problem most of the time?” I asked her laughing. She looked at me and shrugged.
“Bella.” We said laughing in unison. I sat and thought how I could get Bella going. Well, I could just tease her. Nah! I noticed that Edward was preoccupied with something. So, I went to go talk to Charlie again.
“Hey Charlie! How are you coping with the whole vampire and werewolf thing?” I asked him.
“As best as I can I expect.” Charlie said to me looking a little thwarted by my question. I put my arm around Charlie.
“Let us walk and talk! Now that you know our secret, I am sure you would love to know the inner workings of the vampire life.” I said to him very seriously. “I mean I am sure there is some stuff you would love answered.” I finished waiting for his reply.
“Well, yes I do have some questions. Like, how often do you hunt? How did Bella become pregnant with Nessie then? And many more!” Charlie said to me and he played right into my hands. A great big smirk came across my face. I could notice that Bella’s eyes were on me.
“Well, we can hunt a couple times a week! It depends on how great our thirst is. We wouldn’t want to accidentally kill any humans because we were thirsty. Don’t worry Bella only killed a few hundred people before we got her under control. Thirst can be driven by desires, so we curved her desires for you know what and she was fine. Bella, became pregnant before she was transformed. We had to transform her after Nessie was delivered because she was a wreck and somethings just don’t go back to normal! Oh it was great! There was a whole ceremony. It brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it. There is only one thing that bothers me about the whole situation.” I said to Charlie very convincingly.
“What is that Emmett?” Charlie said hanging onto my every word as I spoke.
“Well, don’t say anything! Okay!” I said. Charlie nodded. “We don’t know if Nessie’s father is Edward, Jasper, or me! It is a little disturbing! We share everything, but this needs to stop!” I said earnestly. The look on Charlie’s face was classic. I couldn’t have asked for a better reaction. His eyes went wide, skin pale, and he was trembling.
“Well, Charlie let me know if there is anything else I can help you with!” I said as I walked away and waited for the explosion. I was laughing to myself as I walked back over by Rose.
“What is so funny now, Em? What did you do?” Rose asked me looking at Charlie’s obvious shaken demeanor. Here was the countdown: Five…Four…Three…Two…One.
“Isabella Marie Cullen!” Charlie demanded. Bella threw me a glance. This was well worth the trees I was about to go through!

Bella’s POV

“Isabella Marie Cullen!” Charlie said my name with such disgust. My stares immediately turned to Emmett, who looked completely amused with himself. What in the world had he said to my father to make him yell at me again?
“Yes, Dad?” I said bewildered by his tone. I knew that our discussion had not ended earlier, but this was something different. I just stared down Emmett, who looked like he would have a stroke if it were possible, busting a gut laughing so hard.
“Outside NOW!” Charlie demanded of me. I felt like I did when I lived in his house and he grounded me. I would kill Emmett. I was not in the mood for any of his shenanigans.
“Oh boy, this isn’t good!” Edward whispered to me as he scowled at Emmett.
“What did Emmett possibly tell him?” I asked trying not to loose my cool.
“You don’t want to know! He is trying to get you going though!” Edward answered me reluctant to tell me what it was that Emmett told my father. I was walking blind into an argument that I had no clue as to why it was started. We got outside by the cruiser.
“Turn around Bella, put your hands behind your back!” Charlie instructed me. I was almost scared of him that I did what he said. I felt him cuff my wrist together.
“Dad, what in the world are you doing?” I screamed at him.
“You, young lady, are going to jail! You want to have extra-marital activities with your new inherited family, that is one thing! When you have killed hundreds of people to satisfy your thirst, that becomes my problem!” Charlie said very heatedly. I could see Emmett laughing through the window.
“What in the world are you talking about?” I asked very anger. “I have never once killed a human, a vampire yes, but human no! I am about to kill another vampire too! Dad, what in the world did Emmett tell you?” I asked trying to get some resolution.
“He said that you have killed hundreds of people before the Cullens could control you! He also said your appetite was curved for your desire for, well-you know, and that either Edward, Jasper, or himself could be Nessie’s father!” Charlie replied to my question. I was in such shock that I had to think so Edward could hear me.
“Charlie, it is not true! Bella has never once killed any human! I am Nessie’s father and there are no extra-marital affairs!” Edward informed my father. I was tired of being in the cuffs and flicked my finger and broke them into pieces. I think I was seeing red at this point. Emmett took off from the window as soon as he saw me break loose from the cuffs.
“Bella, no you cannot do that!” Edward said to me trying to calm me. He walked in front of me trying to stop me. I flung him from in front of me. I didn’t hurt him, but he got the point quickly.
“What is she going to do?” Charlie asked Edward trying to help him to his feet. I guess Edward was shocked that I had flung him out of my way.
“I AM GOING TO FEED EMMETT TO THE SAVONAUTS!” I shouted loudly. I walked through the front door and everyone moved from in front of my path.
“WHERE?” I asked everyone and they pointed out the back door.
“Oh dear, this can’t be good!” Esme said shaking her head. I headed out the back door and followed Emmett’s trail. I soon caught up with him. I wrapped my shield around him and held him in the air.
“C’mon Bella! You know I love you! It was just a joke!” Emmett said with a sheepish laugh.
“A JOKE EMMETT! MY FATHER HAD ME IN HANDCUFFS!” I snapped at him as I banged him off the ground a couple of times. Edward appeared and he could see my temper was flaring.
“Edward, get your crazy wife!” Emmett said and that was all it took! I flung him into everything I could find until I heard the cracking of his face. Rose’s screams broke my concentration and I dropped him to the ground.
“Bella, it was just a joke!” Rose said to me. Edward grabbed me by my shoulders and directed me home.
“When I feed him to the Savonauts, that will be a joke too!” I said with malice. The Savonauts wails could be heard closer. Then in the distance we could all hear a jet landing. They were here.

Leah’s POV

Everyone could hear the Romanians’ jet landing. I looked to my mother. I hadn’t had a chance to tell her about the babies. She was standing next to Charlie and Billy. Seth was close by too. I grabbed Jaiden’s hand and started to walk towards my mother. I must have been glowing because when I approached them, they all took a step back. I looked to Jaiden and looked back at my mother.
“Go ahead Leah! Tell her before we leave!” Jaiden said to me very quietly in my ear.
“Mom, I am pregnant!” I blurted out. Her eyes grew wide and a huge smile crept over her face.
“How do you know so soon? I thought you both waited?” My mother asked me.
“We did wait Sue, but apparently the babies are growing quickly. Carlisle said this happened to Bella when she was pregnant with Nessie, but it is not as quick.” Jaiden explained to my mother.
“Mom, there is more!” I said reluctant to tell her that I was having triplets and they already had powers.
“I am having triplets!” I said quickly. The look on her face was complete joy.
“Three babies? Leah, here you thought you would never be a mother and you are having three! Oh boy! I have a lot to plan! When will we find out the sex? Your baby shower….” My mom was rambling but I had to stop her.
“Mom, I might have the babies in Romania! There is no telling how long we will be over there.” I said sadly almost ready to cry. My mother could see the sadness in my eyes. Her eyes welled up with tears.
“I might not be there to see my grandchildren being born?” She asked with confusion and hurt. I didn’t want to tell her for this reason. I did not want to take anymore from her.
“Well, then, I will come to Romania! That is it! I will travel to see you and the babies!” She answered her own question. That would be a possibility, if she wasn’t going to be in the presence of bloodsucking leeches that would like to drain her. I patted her hand in assurance.
“We will figure it out!” Jaiden said assuring my mother too. Charlie reached up and grabbed my mother’s hand to comfort her, but it was too late the tears were rolling down her cheeks.
“Will we ever see you again Leah?” My mother asked in between her sobs. Jaiden rubbed my back knowing that I was about to loose it at any moment.
“Of course, I will be back in no time!” I said letting one tear fall. I knew that I had to hold back my emotions or everyone would suffer the consequences.
“I want to go with you and Jake!” Seth chimed in. I looked at him in horror. I couldn’t believe that he would say something so insensitive in front of mom.
“Seth, I love you! I need you here to protect mom, Sam, Emily, the rest of the pack, and take care of Forks!” I said to my brother very sincerely. He hung his head and didn’t look up, but I knew he had tears in his eyes. I could hear it in his voice.
“Leah…..I…..thought that is what you would say! Take care of my nieces and nephews! Whatever! Just take care of the babies, yourself, Jake, Nessie, and Jaiden!” He said as he stood up. He kissed me on the cheek and walked away. That was the hardest thing I had to do. I knew that Seth felt that I was leaving and never coming back. I walked to my mom and held her hands.
“I love you! I will always love you! I think that dad would want you to be happy! So promise me something!” I said with the biggest lump in my throat.
“Anything! I will promise you anything, Leah!” Mom said to me crying.
“You will do what makes you happy and be with Charlie!” I told her. She pulled me to her and hugged me tightly in her arms. I would remember this day forever. The way she looked, the sweet smell of her perfume, and the warmth of a mother’s love. She embraced everything that I wanted to be in a mother and for that I was proud to call her mine. I pulled back to take one last look at her and kissed her on her cheek. I hugged Billy.
“Take care of Jake please!” Billy asked me. He looked like he had been crying.
“I will! I promise!” I said assuring him that Jake would be okay. I walked over to Charlie and hugged him.
“Take care of her please! You two need each other! I love you and thank you for walking me down the aisle!” I whispered in his ear.
“Sure thing Kid! I will take care of her!” Charlie said to me easing my conscience.
“We have to go!” Jaiden said as he hugged my mom and shook Billy and Charlie’s hand.
“Take care of my daughter Jaiden!” My mom instructed him.
“I will! You have my word!” Jaiden said as he led me away. I looked back to see my mom clutching to Charlie. I just hoped to see them all soon.

Jacob’s POV

I could see Leah and Jaiden saying goodbye to Sue, Charlie, and my dad. I knew that couldn’t be easy for Leah. She handled herself well. Nothing dropped from the sky, nobody was frozen, and the world still revolved. I waited for a moment and walked over to my father. This was hard. This wasn’t just some trip I was going on to get away from everyone, like I did when Bella was still human. There was I possibility that I wasn’t coming back anytime soon. Better yet, I could die. I slowly walked up to my father with my hands shoved deep in my pockets. He looked up at me and the curves and lines on his face gave me comfort. He had always been there, even after my mom passed away. His face was so comforting in this moment and I didn’t have the courage to tell him without crying. He just stared at me and reached his hand out. I took my hand slowly out of my pocket and placed it in his.
“Good luck son! Be safe and come back soon!” He said to me shaking my hand. He dropped his hand and turned his head away from me. Charlie came over to me.
“Jake, take care of yourself and Nessie! Please try to remind Bella to give me a call if you have a chance! Don’t you forget to call us and let us know how you are doing!” Charlie said and he gave me a hug. I wasn’t expecting it, but I returned the gesture and hugged him back. Sue was next in line to say goodbye.
“Jake, please be careful and make sure everyone comes back! Be the leader you were born to be!” Sue said to me as she kissed me on my cheek and gave me a hug.
“I will be careful and I will look out for Leah and Jaiden too!’ I whispered in her ear. I knew that she wanted to hear that. All of a sudden, Seth showed up. I walked over to him and I could see the tears flowing down his cheeks. I felt for the first time like I was abandoning him. He walked up and just hugged me so tight. I felt his pain and the tears filled my eyes, but I fought them with all my might.
“I am going to miss you Jake!” Seth said crying softly.
“Seth, I need you to be strong like an Alpha now! I need you to take care of everyone and be in charge until Sam gets better!” I said to him with confidence.
“Me? In charge? I would think it would be Paul or Embry, not me!” Seth said to me in shock. I pulled away from his embrace.
“Seth you are a great wolf and a great brother! I have confidence in you! Please take care of everything until I get back.” I finished telling him.
“I will Jake!” He replied as he shook my hand. I could see the others were getting ready to head to the jet.
“After Bella comes and says goodbye, you all need to leave! Those creatures are getting close and I don’t want anyone else getting hurt!” I said to Sue, Charlie, Seth, my dad, and the rest of the pack.
“You all take orders from Seth until Sam gets better or I come back! Take care of one another!” I instructed the pack.
“Aww..man we got to take orders from the kid!” Paul said jokingly. I gave him a stare.
“Okay..Okay..I get it!” Paul said. I walked over to my father again. I leaned down and hugged him. His face was turned away from me.
“I love you!” I whispered to him.
“I love you too!” He repeated as he patted me on my back. I could tell he was crying. One lonely tear rolled down my cheek onto his shirt. I pulled away and stuffed my hands back into my pockets. As I walked away, I turned back and waved. I hoped this wasn’t the last time I would see everyone.

Bella’s POV

I held Renesmee in one arm and Edward’s hand in my other hand. I looked over to my father. It looked like he was waiting for me to come over by him. I was still angry that he handcuffed me, but not angry enough to not say goodbye.
“You need to go talk to him!” Edward said to me. I hated when he was right. I didn’t want to leave it this way either.
“Go ahead! We will wait and then we will come say goodbye after you have talked!” Edward said to me taking Renesmee out of my arms. She put her hand to Edward’s face and he started laughing.
“What is so funny?” I asked wanting to know.
“Nothing I will tell you after you go talk to your father.” Edward ordered me pointing in Charlie’s direction. Jake walked pass me with tears in his eyes. I grazed his hand as I walked pass him. He looked up and gave me a crooked smile. I didn’t need Edward’s abilities to realize that his heart was breaking. I think this was a reality check for everyone. We might not come back from this battle. I slowly walked over to my dad.
“Dad, I just wanted to come and say goodbye.” I said to him softly.
“I am sorry Bells! I shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions about you.” Charlie said to me remorsefully. “Don’t get me wrong, I am still pretty mad about the whole vampire thing! I don’t even know if the shock has settled in yet! I am going to have to lie to Renee for sure.” Charlie said to me. He scolded me like a father would scold a child that has gotten into trouble.
“I am sorry that I didn’t tell you! It was for your own safety though!” I replied trying to justify my actions. I could see the tears starting to form in the corner of his eyes.
“Sure going to miss you Bells!” He said to me as he held out his arms. I walked into his embrace. I thought for sure my hard, marble skin would hurt him, but he squeezed with all his might. Edward walked over with Renesmee. She reached out for my father.
“I always knew that something was special about you Nessie.” My father laughed. Renesmee put her hand to his face. He wasn’t use to this at all. His face turned to shock.
“What does it mean?” He asked me.
“What did she show you?” I asked him. Edward had a smile across his face.
“You telling her, ‘More than my own life.’” My father replied. I smiled at this. I knew if I could cry, it would definitely be right now.
“It is what I tell Renesmee when I tell her how much I love her! I love her ‘More than my own life.’” I explained to my father. I saw tears glistening on his cheek. He hugged Renesmee tightly and hesitated before letting her go.
“I love you more than my own life!” He told her as he handed her back to Edward.
“You be good for mommy and daddy!” He instructed her. I looked at my father and I saw a man who looked like he was about to crumble. Sue now held him up and stood by his side. I looked back and I could see the others leaving for the jet.
“Dad, I have to go!” I said gesturing to everyone else.
“I know Bells! I love you!” He told me and gave me another quick hug. I hugged Sue.
“Watch out for Leah for me! Please stay safe and call us!” Sue requested. I just nodded. I said goodbye to Billy and the pack. Seth gave Edward, Renesmee, and me hugs.
“Edward, keep my babies safe!” Charlie firmly told Edward while he shook his hand.
“I will!” Edward softly told him.
“Bella, Mr. Weber, Mike, Eric, and Ben are heading to Romania to look for Angela! Just thought I would warn you!” Charlie told me at last minute.
“Okay! I love you Dad! Sue, please watch out for him!” I said very calmly. I started to walk away with Edward and Renesmee. When I heard Charlie say under his breath, More than my own life Bells. I turned around and smiled at him.
“Me too!” I shouted as I headed with Edward and Renesmee towards the sound of the jet. I looked back one last time to see them leaving in Charlie’s cruiser. It really was goodbye for now.

CHAPTER 6-FATE

Carlisle’s POV

Watching Bella, Jacob, and Leah say goodbye to their families hurt more then they would ever know. I was able to keep my family together. I looked at Leah, who was cradled in Jaiden’s arms, she had to tell her mother she was pregnant and then leave her. This would be a difficult time for her. She had to remain calm for everyone’s safety. Jaiden was her calm during the storm. I looked over to Jacob and he had Nessie’s little hand in his. He scooped her up and held her tightly. I could see the pain in his reddened eyes. He worried about his father, the pack, Forks, and La Push. He carried an even heavier burden knowing that Sam was not one hundred percent yet. Bella stood a few feet from me embraced by Edward. I could see in her face that she was upset. She was upset with Emmett, which was plainly obvious from her glares, and she was upset to leave her father behind. She was upset that creatures were so close Forks. Charlie being the Chief of police could complicate matters also. She was probably worried that he would be forced to go check out the distrubing noises coming from the woods. I made sure that I had all my medical equipment. I did not want to risk leaving anything behind. We headed to the jet. I could see Giovanni stepping off the plane. The Savonauts cries grew closer and closer in the distance. We all would have to work quickly to get our stuff boarded and out of here.
“Carlisle, how do you do?” Giovanni greeted me as I approached.
“I am good, well as good as can be expected I suppose. We might need help getting everything on board the plane.” I requested of Giovanni in a pleasant tone. The pilot stepped off the plane. He was human. I could tell he was frightened by noises from the woods.
“Yes, of course! We will get right on it!” Giovanni replied to my request. Jane stepped off the plane next. Felix and Demetri were accompanied her as she stepped off the plane.
“What is that wretched stench?” Felix asked as his tried to cover his nose.
“That would be the creatures we will be facing!” Eleazar answered Felix’s question.
“Yes! They chased us here!” Tonya added.
“Why are they crying and screaming like that?” Jane asked.
“Well, it is because of the werewolf urine! They do not like the smell of it. The pack has been marking a perimeter to keep them back.” Jake explained to her. Jane, Felix, and Demetri looked at one another and then started to laugh.
“You mean marking like a dog would mark his territory?” Felix asked as he laughed.
“I wouldn’t be calling them a dog when you have those creatures so close! You might have an accident and not make it back to Romania!” Emmett threatened Felix. Giovanni put his hand up to silence the laughing. They all stopped laughing. We headed to the huge pile of luggage, medical equipment, and food. Esme went grocery shopping for Jake, Leah, and Nessie. It might be better that Leah eat human food now that she was pregnant. Leah hated to hunt wild animals anyways, so I am sure she was pleased. When Giovanni and the rest of the guard saw everything we had to bring, their eyes widened.
“Well, thankfully it is a big plane!” Giovanni said in shock. We had the plane loaded within an hour. Esme stood looking back to the house. She had antiques that she worried would be destroyed once the Savonauts broke through the perimeter.
“Were you able to pack anything?” I asked her quietly as I put my arms around her.
“Yes, the pictures and some knick knacks. What is that human saying? They are just things. They can be replaced!” Esme said looking into my eyes with a smile. I smiled back at her and softly kissed her lips. We all boarded the plane. None of us knew what to expect or what would lay ahead for us. We would find out.

Alice’s POV

Jasper held my hand as we sat on the plane. I laid my head on his shoulder. I felt so discouraged lately. My visions were all over the place. I felt out of tune. Then this calming sensation came over me.
“Thank you!” I whispered softly to him.
“Anytime, my love!” He whispered back to me with a smile. The engines on the plane started and we were awaiting our take-off. The Savonauts wails grew louder and louder. It sounded as if they were only miles away. The plane was in the air in no time. I looked out of the windows as we flew over the woods. I could see that the Savonauts were just ten miles from were the plane sat. Suddenly, I was having a vision. I could see a female vampire.
“You filthy creatures find their scent. Destroy everything!” She commanded them. The Savonauts groaned in pleasure of her command. She was searching in the field for our scent. It led her and the Savonauts to our home.
“Leave nothing unturned!” She commanded as the creatures ripped through the door.
“They must not get away. They know something!” She instructed. They tore through the house tearing everything to shreds. They destroyed everything they came upon. Just then the biggest Savonauts went to the female vampire. He had one of Nessie’s pink blankets in his hand.
“I have found this, the child’s blanket!” He announced in a coarse, grumbled voice.
“Good job, Vasile!” She praised him. “So this is the child in question! I wonder if Antanasia knows this!” She laughed sinisterly. “We head for Romania! Time to pay her a visit!” She ordered the Savonauts.
“When?” Vasile asked.
“In a week, I want to plan an attack. We will go home until then! Tell the rest to prepare to leave now!” She instructed Vasile.
“As you wish, my Queen!” He said as he bowed to her. My vision ended there. Edward was sitting in front of me when I came out of my vision.
“Alice? Are you okay?” Jasper asked as he always did when I had a vision of great importance. He never worried about visions of no significance, only the visions of great importance.
“Who is she?” I asked Edward as I came to. He looked to me and I could tell his mind was racing.
“I do not know, but it is apparent that she knows Antanasia! I think this has been planned for a while.” Edward answered.
“I did not think these creatures had any intelligence!” I whispered to Edward.
“It is obvious that he is the highest ranking Savonauts!” Edward said. That would be obvious. Vasile was definitely some type of leader. Now we just had to figure out who this female vampire was and what she wanted with Antanasia.

Edward’s POV

I thought for a while on Alice’s vision. I wanted to know what was so important to them about Nessie. I knew that a child was the key to the answer, but I wondered if Nessie was that child. I sat in complete thought for a while. It took me about five minutes to realize that Bella was questioning me quietly about Alice’s vision.
“Edward? Did you have another vision too? I can’t bare all of this knew knowledge!” She said frightened of my lack of communication.
“I am sorry Bella! I was just thinking about Alice’s vision!” I said calmly rubbing her hand. She looked at me with those patient eyes. She was waiting for me to tell her of Alice’s vision. Alice would already know by now not to say anything about Nessie. Bella would go crazy.
“Alice saw the Savonauts and the female vampire destroy the main house!” I whispered so low so that Esme could not hear me. We would tell Carlisle later and let him break the news to her.
“Oh no! Poor Esme!” Bella mumbled very low. She glanced over to where Carlisle and Esme sat. “That is awful!” She added.
“Yes, but they said something about going to Romania in a week! So I am trying to figure out how this female vampire knows Antanasia!” I whispered again. Bella looked to me and stroked the palm of my hand.
“You will figure it out my love!” She said kindly. I looked around and I noticed something very funny about Giovanni and Jane. They were in deep conversation and sitting by themselves. Giovanni noticed my stares and threw me a smile. I smiled back at him.
“Don’t you find that odd?” I asked Bella as I gestured slightly with my head in Giovanni and Jane’s direction. She very quickly glanced over and glanced back down to my hand.
“I do! You don’t think? Giovanni would not be so stupid!” Bella whispered quickly.
“Yes, but do you see the way he looks at her? It is the same way I look at you! I hope he would know better!” I replied in a hushed tone. Bella laid her head on my chest. I looked out the window and thought about what Nessie had to do with this situation. I thought deeply and suddenly I was in another vision. I was in some sort of tower. It was dark and dank. I could see Antanasia. Then someone appeared from the shadows.
“What have you found my darling?” The voice asked her. I was still unable to make out the face or the voice.
“Ahh…Constantin, you always manage to find me!” She replied to the voice. I saw him step from out of the shadows of the dark tower and into her candle light.
“Yes, I was coming in to read more about the Great One and the Chosen Ones. Do you really believe it to be us?” Constantin asked with disbelief.
“Yes, I do! I have the a powerful gift and you have the ability to read minds!” Antanasia answered him.
“Yes, this is true, but I have never drank your blood. You were already vampire! And what about the child? We have no child!” Constantin pointed out to her.
“Yes, but we have the bloodline! My father and mother had five children! It could happen!” Antanasia tried to convince him. He shook his head at her.
“I would believe that it would have happen already! Your father and mother are of the purest blood! Yes, you should be able to have a child, but what if you were not meant to?” Constantin said taking her hands in his.
“But I am Queen and this will be so!” She said breaking her hands from his grip and walking away.
“Antanasia, I am not trying to upset you, but before we proclaim that we are the Chosen Ones, we must be certain! Yes, you are Queen, but only by default!” Constantin said to her trying to reason with her.
“By default? Do you not think us worthy to hold our position?” She spatted at him with venom.
“No, I believe that we are deserving! There was someone before you that should be Queen and if she were to ever return, that position would rightful belong to her!” Constantin explained. I understood. He was talking about Rodika. She was the eldest and had left by choice, but the position is still hers for the taking.
“That will never be! She will never return! And I will make sure that Daciana is not a threat as well! Stefan and Vladimir are fools and would never think to betray me!” Antanasia said with authority. Constantin was taken back by her announcement.
“You would kill your own siblings! This is not right! I will have no part of this Antanasia!” Constantin said as he went to leave.
“You will have part in whatever I say! You will help me or you will suffer too!” Antanasia threatened as he left the room.
“I will have a child and our family will be the Chosen Ones.” She whispered to herself.
I was back to reality as quickly as I was brought into the vision. Maybe I could learn to control my visions. Maybe if I focused hard enough, I could force myself to have one.
“Edward? Are you okay?” I heard Bella say to me. I did not want to worry her.
“Yes, my love! I am fine! Just deep in thought!” I said kissing her lips. I need to learn to control this and fast. We only had a week before the Savonauts would be in Romania.

Cosmas’ POV

I fled from the house and headed to Italy. I knew that I had to help my old friend Carlisle and his family. I never believed that it would be possible for the Savonauts to be raised from their sleep. I thought that I had the only hidden copy of the scrolls, now I was on my way to my old friend Antonio to find the truth. I remember that last day with Daciana. It was a memory which always replays in my head. How I wish I could have changed the events of that fateful day or I would have met my demise along with her. I closed my eyes and I could see the curves of her face. I could feel her lips on mine. I have longed for her for centuries. My pain was only intensified by the fact that I left her side. I can still hear that conversation as if I was reliving every moment.
“Cosmas, you must leave!” Daciana screamed at me. Her screams were painful to my existence.
“I will not leave you! She will kill you! Let us leave together!” I pleaded with her.
“No, I need you to survive! You will understand later.” Daciana said to me trying to push me out the door with an address.
“How can I leave you knowing that she is going to kill you?” I asked practically on my knees.
“I want you to go to this address! You will find out why! You will meet someone who has something for you!” Daciana said very firmly. “GO NOW! BEFORE THEY COME FOR ME!” Daciana yelled at me.
“Why can’t you shield us and we can leave?” I asked still begging her hoping for her to see that there was a way for both of us to escape. Ever since Xavier had passed, Antanasia has been consumed with power. She is destroying anyone that seems to be a threat. Her obsession to become the Chosen Ones has driven her mad. She was going to kill her own sister to fulfill her own desires. I would seek my revenge.
“Cosmas, please! If they kill me, Constantin will read your mind. He cannot have that information!” Daciana pleaded with me now. She had given me critical information knowing that I would have to leave now.
“How do I say goodbye?” I said looking into her eyes. I wanted to cry.
“Do not say goodbye! Say I love you!” She said to me lovingly.
“I love you always!” I blurted out. I took one last kiss from her perfect lips.
“I love you always! Never forget me!” She said as she pushed me out of the door. I ran and I didn’t stop running. I made it to the edge of the forest and I collapsed. I knew that by now the guard would be there to take Daciana away. She was very insistence on my survival. This must be of great importance. I would rather lose my life then to have this vital information. How could I survive without Daciana? This was a cruel joke. I thought about turning back, but Daciana would be so angry for sacrificing this information. I have lost the one thing that matter the most to me, my mate. I would carry out her wishes. I looked at the address and noticed I was on my way to Italy. I wondered why. I couldn’t pick myself up off the ground, the pain was too unbearable.
