Everything all around me was spinning faster and faster. I couldn't see anything. It was as if my life were put into fast forward. Black spots blurred my vision and soon it became nothing but darkness. I was being consumed by it and there was nothing I or anyone could do to save me because I was dying; quickly. Out of the darkness I could hear his voice calling out to me. There was a small bright light. I could see him as his voice grew further and further away from me. No. He wouldn't leave me would he? I heard less and less of his voice and I saw a far off figure disappearing into the light. I would never forget that smile. That evil smile. Like he was mocking me. It was as if he were saying, 'See you in hell.' No! I could not and would not die here. Not now. Not until I've gotten my revenge.
Chapter 1 <3
I woke up to find myself in a room. My hotel room. I breathed a sigh of relief. It was only a dream. Or maybe a memory. I didn't know. I was just happy it wasn't the present. Sitting up in bed I swung my legs over the side standing up. A small ray of light shone through the drapes. Walking over I opened them. The sun shined brightly today. I slid open the glass door and stepped onto the balcony immediately feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin. Looking down at the people on the streets, they looked like busy little ants. If only they knew how busy my life was. Beep. Beep. Beep. My cellphone rang. I quickly walked inside answering it.
"Althea?" the voice asked, questioning whether it was me or not.
"Yes, this is me." I said irritated; another job most likely.
"I have another job for you."
I rolled my eyes; great. "Oh, there's a surprise." I said sarcastically."What is it this time John?"
He cleared his throat. He muttered something under his breath before speaking."I need you to take care of an old friend. His name is Sasha Ivishkov. He's a retired Russian Mafia leader, or so he wants people to think."
Damn Russians, one after another I kill. I really wish they'd stop getting into trouble. At this rate they may become extinct. "And his loaction?"
"Vladivistok. He lives in a mansion near some bar. He's got security every, 24/7. There's only two entrances; a back and a front gate both guarded by blood-thirsty dogs."
"Sounds easy enough. But how do you know so much about his place?" I asked curiously. My suspicions for this man grew every time I spoke with him.
"Don't worry about it. I have my sources. Now if you don't mind me continuing."
"Go ahead. Continue." I said, this time I was only slightly irritated because he wouldn't really tell me anything.
"He'll most likely be in his secret underground basement, but you need to get past six guards. Once you've taken them out, there will be a panel on the right. Use on of the guards key cards to open the door. I'll send you a map of the place later."
"Ok. He'll be gone tonight." I said only with a small smirk on face. I was going to enjoy this. Blood-thirtsy guard dogs, tons of guards on watch 24/7, this going to be the most fun I've had in awhile. Never given a reason as to why the people I kill needed to be gone. I just got rid of them because I was told they needed to be erased from the face of this earth.
"Excellent. Thank You." he said and hung up.
I tossed the phone on the bed and crouched down reaching under my bed and slid out a large, silver suitcase. Opening my eyes brightened as I eyed each weapon in the case. I smirked; thinking of how I would kill this man or what I'd kill him with.
"This is going to be fun."
