Friendly Desires: A Different Imprint Story
A beautiful and rich girl moves to La Push, but what happens when Seth Clearwater imprints on her? Love right away? Or not?
Preface
A huge wolf stood in front of me, his fur was sandy colored. I felt a sudden pull towards it.
I wanted to reach out and touch it.
I went closer, close enough that we stood at normal human distance, adrenaline pulsed through me.
I moved my hand through the soft fur and stared into the light brown eyes, suddenly too intelligent for a beast.
I was lost, I felt elated.
Chapter 1: Talk time.
Nicole’s POV:
I sat staring out of the window from my room of our New York apartment, the view was simply beautiful, though it was busy and happening I found some peace looking down on the moving city. The apartment where I stayed was huge, dad was an advertising executive, he had his own company which took up products and advertise them in various ways. This was a rich business and dad of course made millions of money in this way, most of the time they hired actors to do a particular add, I had their autographs. It was a traveling job; dad had to travel all around the world, and it was kinda good for both of us. For him because it was his business and he loved doing it and for me because I got to meet actors and also travel around the world with him during vacation. Speaking of vacation, wonder where we will be going this time, my exams were almost over, I had one more left, tomorrow it will all be over and I will turn into a sophomore from a freshman. I sighed; we also had to stay in school after the exams, as my school was taking up an environment program so the principal wanted to enlighten us on saving our environment. I was very much enthusiastic about it; I badly wanted to save our environment. And later our group would be going to party, the same usual stuff. I sighed again.
“There’s lots of sighing going on huh?” I heard a voice, it was Antony of course.
Antony, well he is my care-taker, actually more than that and almost everything, he has been with me and dad since I was 5. We used to stay in Italy when he joined us. Dad had been to Italy to do a particular project, there he met mom, yeah my mom’s an Italian, and they immediately fell in love and got married. They decided to stay in Italy for a while, and then I was born. Everything had been going well till I was 3 or 4 and then the usual bickering turned into huge fights, they didn’t want me to be subjected to their fights so they hired a ‘nanny’ for me. Not just a usual nanny, dad wanted some one really capable who could take care of me in every way, so he contacted an American agency and they sent Antony to us. I m glad dad didn’t want a usual nannies, Antony is the best! Then things became worse and they, that is my mom and dad had to separate, it was harsh for me, I loved my mom and wanted her to be with me, but no she left us, she didn’t even care for my feelings. Since then Antony is with us. He is always with me; dad usually has to go away for business trips but Antony never. He is my best friend, cook, body guard, and my family. I love him.
“Yeah, it’s the last day of school.” I said looking at him.
“You didn’t study for the exam right?” he teased me.
“Antony, its Art tomorrow, and you know I m pro at that,” I laughed.
“Ah! Be modest!” he teased again.
“By the way, don’t you know you should knock before entering someone’s room?” I teased him back.
“I keep forgetting ma’am,” he said with a sarcastic smile.
“Manner’s are very important mister!” I pretended to scold him.
“Yeah sure, dinner’s ready come-on.” He laughed and went out.
“Okay,” I said and went over to my washroom and washed my face with cold water. I changed into sweatpants and a tank top and went over to the dining table.
I went over and sat on my chair, and Antony joined me.
“Where’s dad?” I asked while serving myself dinner.
“It seems he will be late tonight, Miss Wills left a message.” He replied.
“Oh, okay.” I said. Miss Wills was dad’s secretary. She had been with dad for ten years.
“Yummy noodles,” I commented.
“Thanks, I m good at everything you see.” He said.
“Now look who is not being modest!” I raised my eye brows.
“Okay, okay.” He said and then we continued to have dinner in silence.
After finishing the dinner, I put my plate in the sink.
“Good night Tony,” I said and yawned.
“Yeah night’,” he replied with a smile.
I went over to my room and cuddled up in my bed, I checked my cell. I hadn’t got any messages or calls so I set an alarm and closed my eyes thinking about next day. Soon, I fell asleep.
Seth’s POV:
My shift had just ended.
‘Night guys,’ I thought and phased back to human form. I wore my clothes in swift moment and headed to my house, I was damn tired. Nothing was going on in La Push or the Cullens’ territory; it had been a year since the fight against the Volturi had taken place for Nessie. To keep the college charade the Cullens had left for New Hampshire after one month, and Jacob had left with them. Though he joined us in wolf form it was never the same, he had made Leah his beta. And now they were returning at last! Their college year had ended, to meet Charlie and us.
I entered my house, it was dark. Probably mom and Leah were already in bed. I grabbed my self a snack and headed to my room. I went and lay on my bed. I didn’t feel sleepy any more! Come-on, I should! I m damn tired, I need to sleep. I just kept tossing and turning, I got irritated and got of the bed, climbed through the window and sat on the roof staring at the moon. I felt very lonely, everyone had an imprint and they were damn happy, everyone but Leah and I. A year had passed and I had seen many new girls in school but I never imprinted on them, Leah had gotten past her self, being a beta and away from Sam and his mind had made her better. Better not back to her old self. I had started to question myself, were Leah and I genetic end? Was that the reason we hadn’t imprinted? Ugh! The guys had also asked me to start dating some one and there were many girls who wanted me, being a wolf had made me handsome and wanted. But I didn’t want anyone except ‘her’. Then I sat staring at the moon blankly, not wanting to allow negative thought rule over me. Minutes passed…
I yawned once and then twice and then thrice.
“Time to go to bed Seth,” I said to myself and headed back inside.
As soon my head hit the bed, my eyes closed and I was drawn into deep sleep. That night, I dreamed of ‘her’. I had never seen her before. She was more than beautiful, her eyes were dark brown, her brown hair was long and shiny and her lips were shaped into a smile. She came over to me and moved her hand across my face, my breathing increased. Her soft lips touched my cheek, I moved my hand to hold her, but suddenly I was all alone. She had vanished my sight, reach and touch. Everything went blank and the dream changed into nothingness.

Chapter 29: Never met a girl like you
Some things cannot be expressed in words.
They can be only felt.
And the person who exactly feels the way you do.
Is your sould-mate.
Seth’s POV:
I led her into the woods feeling excited. Finally I was going to show her the real me…the part of me that made me love her.
“What is it?” she asked as we entered the creek in the trees.
“Has anyone told you that you are very impatient?” I chuckled.
She huffed in reply.
I led her further in, it wasn’t really dark her, well not much since Alice had planned to bedazzle the whole forest. And this wasn’t an understatement.
“Seth what is it?!” she asked again, I noticed a tinge of irritation.
“Just wait please,” I said and left her hand. the electricity I had been feeling through my body stopped.
“Better be worth it,” she muttered.
“Trust me, it is,” I whispered.
“Where are you going?” she asked as I walked farther.
“Stay there please!” I pleaded.
“Fine,” she rolled her eyes.
I went deeper into the woods which were nothing but dark.
“Don’t call for help when you get lost! Because I m not coming!” I heard her.
Chuckling to myself I undressed and with one swift moment I transformed into a wolf. I stood there for few seconds…deciding. Well, I was going to show myself to her, it felt weird to be alone and not hear other’s thoughts…but it was strangely peaceful.
I walked toward Nicole, my heart thudded against my chest and I was both excited and afraid. What if she didn’t believe me? Or what if she ran away? What if she never wanted to see me again?
“Seth is that you?” I could see her squinting trying to see who it was.
Yes…yes, it’s me. All of a sudden I felt like I was rushing into things! I should turn back…I shouldn’t tell her, well not yet! Yeah…not yet. Go back Seth! Go!
But I didn’t…she had seen the animal side if me and stood there frozen. Instead of walking back I walked toward her.
“Oh-my-god! It’s you!” she whispered as she recognized me.
“My protector,” she giggled as she moved her soft warm hands through my fur. It felt good…extremely. She stood on the tip of her toes and yet could reach just a little part of my neck. I automatically bowed and our eyes met.
She gasped…my heart beat increased more than it was before. Did she recognize me?!
“I missed you,” she sighed and continued brushing me.
But I have always been with you.
“Did Seth find you?” she asked.
I m Seth.
“Where is he?” she asked.
Right in front of you.
“Anyway, I m not going to look for him now…can’t afford to loose you,” she mumbled. Was the guilt in her voice true or was I just imagining it?
I m Seth…I wish you knew.
“I have always wanted a pet…but not a dog, to be honest I don’t really like dogs, I know many people would be shocked that I don’t like them but I just don’t! I m scared of them…” her voice was hardly audible.
I leaned in inhaling her sweet scent. She stumbled back and laughed, “You’re one huge friendly wolf.”
I whimpered.
“Aw...you know, I never thanked you,” her face brightened.
For what?
“You saved my life…thank you,” she smiled.
It’s my responsibility to keep you safe.
“People are going to think I m mad standing here and conversing with a wolf, and I m really starting to wonder where Seth is! Did he get lost trying to look for you?” she looked around.
I felt sad…just sad.
“Seth?” she called looking around.
I poked her shoulder with my nose.
“Hey, he is my friend, you will like him,” she smiled widely.
Her expression changed into worry when she couldn’t find me in my human form. She looked away from me and started searching around.
I sighed! She wasn’t going to recognize me, just when I was sure she wasn’t looking my way I ran without making much noise. I was such an idiot! Why did I decide to tell it to her! Why?! She doesn’t even know about our legends! She knows nothing! And yet here I was going to tell her everything to face her ignorance later.
I was disappointed…extremely! But I couldn’t blame here, I shifted into human and out on my clothes and started running and found Nicole. Her back was toward me, she was calling out my name.
Feeling a little happier at hearing her use my name, “I m here!” I called and stared walking. She turned to me, he hands on her hips.
“Where were you?!” she glared but her voice had an edge. She was worried for me.
“Just around,” I smiled sadly. I had been with her the whole time.
“Yeah right!” she rolled her eyes.
“What happened?” I asked.
“I saw the wolf! Did you find him?!” she asked.
I didn’t know whether to play up or not.
“What wolf?” I chickened out.
“The one who saved me in the woods! Well, he stopped the other’s attacking me…but one of them attacked anyway,” she seemed confused.
“Oh…you saw him?!” I asked pretending to be surprised.
“Yeah!!! It was so amazing! But I started looking for you and he was gone,” she frowned.
“We’ll see him some other time then, don’t worry,” I smiled and led her out of the canopy of trees.
“Wait!” she stopped me.
“Yeah?” I asked.
“What did you want to show me?” she asked, her mood seemed to have lifted.
“It’s too dark, I couldn’t find,” I shrugged. Speaking metaphorically, she was too much in dark and many things weren’t known to her, and obviously she wouldn’t be able to find the real me.
“Gee…you realized,” she giggled.
“Yeah,” I shrugged.
She watched me carefully and sighed.
We were back in the front yard, loud music was being played from within, I wasn’t in mood to face others right now. They probably thought I had told Nicole everything.
“What’s wrong?” Nicole asked.
“Nothing…want to dance?” I asked, my eyes gleaming.
“Really? Here?” she asked.
“Yes, here,” I nodded and held my hand.
“You’re not dressed up for dancing,” she teased but came closer anyway taking my hand.
“What makes you think you are?” I teased back.
I was aware of the fact that I was shirtless and that she had placed her arms around my neck and I held her waist. This moment felt special…everything was just perfect. We were alone and bright lights surrounded us.
We swayed to the music and I stared into her deep brown eyes. Her blush just increased the bend of my smile. Her heart beat had increased along with mine as we had come closer to each other.
“You never told me what you are dressed up as,” she mumbled.
“I…uh…” I didn’t know what to say.
“Trust me I can’t guess,” she giggled.
“Hmm…let’s see, an average guy wearing just his jeans, whom does he remind you of?” I joked.
“Reminds me of…my prey,” she said softly.
“Prey?” my eyes widened.
“Yeah, Vampire remember?” her right hand left my neck to tug at her cloak.
“Wow…!” I chuckled.
“Do you know why you are here young man?” she asked in a low playful voice.
“Yes…” I replied in a hypnotized voice.
She leaned in…closer...very close…tilting her head she pulled me down and kissed my…neck?
I froze. The feel of her lips against my burned my skin; in a good way of course. I was breathing heavily.
She moved back and looked dazed. I knew it was no pretense. Blood rushed to her face making her look like a kid doing something she wasn’t supposed to do.
She still hadn’t let go of me…maybe this was my chance. Anyone heard about second time lucky? Well, I could try. She had kissed my neck and now…maybe she was waiting for me to kiss her.
A/N: So very sorry for making you guys wait for so long!!! I just have been so so so very busy! My college started last week and I hardly have had time to write…anyway I hope I haven’t disappointed you…so what do you think?!
