Ch.21
BPOV

Emmett and I walked back to Carlisle and Esme's hotel room where everyone was waiting.

"So that was the Nessie you told me about when we started dating?" Rosalie asks Emmett.

"Yes." Emmett says looking at his feet. "I didn't love her the way I love you though." He
looks into her eyes. "It was just a summer thing before I moved to Forks."

"Story time." Jasper says.

"Wait so Alice you know about Renesmee?" I ask.

"No she didn't know her. Alice, mom, and dad moved to Forks before the summer started,
I was in Pheniox because I was a camp consalor for the summer, so was Renesmee and
that's how we got together. A month into summer me and her slept together, a week before
summer was over she left. I didn't know why and the time but I guess I do now."

"How come you never told me?" Alice asks hurt.

"Because when I got to Forks it wasn't really important." He glances over at Rose
and smiles.

"What are we going to do about Max?" Esme ask. Edward looks over at me with his eye
brow raised.

"Be-" Emmett starts to tell them.

I cut him off. "Emmett shh!" I take Edward's hand. "We'll be right back. Emmett come
with us." We walk outside to the hall.

"Look I'm not sure I want to get married yet! I'm only 17." Edward's face falls.

"So what you're saying is you want to find the right guy. You don't want to settle down
so fast." Edward says.

"No that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is YOU"RE the one who still has so
many possibilties in life. You can still find the right girl who you just want to get married
to because you think you might be in love with her and you want to help her raise her
little brother, who happens not to be her real brother and happens to be your best friends
son." He stares at me in disbelife.

"Really Bella?! You think I'm not sure about you? You think I don't know rather or not
I'm in love with you? Bella I may be young but I know I want to spend my life with you."
There's this really intense look in his eyes that tells me that he's telling the truth.

"Hey guys I'm going to go." Emmett says and walks away.

"You don't know that!" I argue with Edward feeling tears coming. "The worlds a big place
you have no idea if I'm the one!"

"I don't or you don't?"

I don't answer. I have no answer, I have no idea what I think. I know I love him. I
know he's the best guy I could ever find. He stood by me when I needed him, when I
had no idea who he was. I still can't remember anything about him from before the
accident and I'm not sure if that's good or bad. Do we belong together? How does
someone know if they want to be with someone for the rest of their life when they're
so young? How would they know that that someone is the right person? Look at Emmett,
he thaught he was in love with Renesmee but when she left he didn't try to go find
her instead he left and went to Forks where he fell for Rose.

What if he did try to find Renesmee and she told him she was pregnet? What if she stayed?
Then Emmett probaly wouldn't of found Rose, who I know is his true love. Then I wouldn't
of had Max as a little brother because Emmett and Renesmee would probaly of kept him
and raised him. Then I would of never met Esme who I met because of Max when he dropped
that ball. I wouldn't of known Rose and her brother Edward.

But maybe I would of met him. Some how we are together. We first saw eachother in
the park that day so many years ago. Out of everyone in the park that day I noticed
the guy with the green eyes and he noticed the girl writing in her journal. Was it
fate? Forks is a small town.

I get brought out of my thoughts when Edward starts talking. "Bella if you don't love
me or you want to see different people just tell me." He sounds angree. "I know I love
you that's why whatever you want, I have no chose but to let you have it." His vocie
crakes at the end.

"Edward I love you. I really do. Just because I'm not ready to get married now doesn't
mean I want to be with someone else." I wip away the tears that are running down my
face. "I don't want to get my heart breaken if you decide you don't want me anymore
though."

"Bella...I will never want anyone else." He takes my hands and kneels to the ground.
"Isabella Swan will you marry me when you're ready?"

"Yes Edward." I choke out. He stand up and gives me a breath taking kiss. I hear
a aqueel from inside the door then it swings open. "We should of talked down the
hall." I whisper to Edward as Alice runs out.

"You guys are getting married?!" She screams jumping up and down a little while
holding her stomach.

"When Bella's ready." Edward tells her and she stops jumping. "Bella's not ready to
get married yet." He says before she can ask.

"I know this might not be the time but Bella, Max wants you." Esme says walking
out into the hallway where Alice, Jasper, Rose and Emmett all gathered around
Edward and I. Edward lets go of me and I walk into the hotel room where Max
is sitting on the couch.

"Hey Max." I sit down.

"Please don't let me go with that mean lady." He holds onto my arm. "I know you're
not my sister but please." He beggs. I'm speechless. I don't know what to say.

"I won't let you go with her, I promise." I take his little hands in mine. "I promise..."
At that momant I feel selfish for not saying yes to Edward's proposal.

"Bella." Emmett walks in. "Can I talk to you?"

I look at Max and he nods. "Yeah." I follow Emmett out the door as everyone else
goes back inside.

"I think we should tell Max I'm his dad." He says.

"You sure?"

"Yeah. That way I can get custody of him." Emmett grins at me. "I talked to everyone
while you were talking to Max and they all thought it was a good idea."

"Yeah it is. How should we tell him? Do you just want to tell him or do you want me
to be there?"

"It might be better if you're there."


Okay guys I'm SOOOO sorry I haven't updated it FOREVER! I'm trying to write but
the only time I have a chance to is on the weedends! Sorry! Please comment! Even if
you thought it was stupid!!
P.S. Fans of It's You, I'll try to update it tonight!

BPOV

Emmett and I sit on either side of Max on the couch.

"We have to tell you something." I say turning off the tv he was foucused on.

"What?" He asks looking from me to Emmett.

"You know how that lady Renesmee is your mom right?" Emmett says nervous.

"Yeah and that guy is my dad." Max says slowly.

"No, he's not." I say and Max looks at me confused.

"Max, Renesmee and I used to be together." Emmett says and Max turns his confused
look at Emmett. "Renesmee came by earlier to tell us that I'm your dad."

"What?!"

"Renesmee and I used to be together. She left me before she told be she was pregnet
with you. So I never new I had a kid."

Max doesn't say anything as his little mind tries to take it all in. It must be really
hard for him to find all this out. He probaly doesn't really understand all of it. He
might be smart but he's still only three.

"Can I take a nap?" Max asks me.

"Sure." I pick him up and down the hallway to our room. I lay him down in the middle
of the bed so he won't fall off.

"Bella I wish we never went to the amusment park that day." Max whispers.

"Me too hon." I rub my hand through his short hair. His hair grew back from his
treatments months ago, that I still don't remember, but I got his hair cut before we
left to come to Pheniox.

"And I wish we never went to Forks." He says. "Me and you were doing fine."

"I thought you loved the Cullens?" I ask confused. He stares up at the ceiling.

"I do. But I don't want to think of Emmett as my...dad. And if we weren't going to their
house that day you wouldn't of gotten in a car accident and you would still remember
me. And we're ruining their lives. Can we leave?" His eyes have tears in them.

"We can't leave Max. They love us, they're helping us. We should be greatful." I
think as I say all this I'm trying to convince myself. I know we're ruining their lives.
Emmett and Rosalie are fighting now, Edward wants to get marries, Carlisle is losing
money because he's here instead of working, Esme is stuck watching Max whenever
I have to go to school or somewhere, Emmett has to worry about having to be a dad
along with Alice and Jasper who will be parents soon. Maybe we should leave.

"Max do you really want to leave?" He nods his head. Guess that's my answer. I watch
as his eyes flutter closed and then walk back to Esme and Carlisle's room. I'm not telling
anyone we're leaving. It'll be harder for me if I did.

"How'd Max take it?" Esme asks as I fall onto the couch next to her. "Aww honey why
are you crying?" She pulls me into a hug. I'll miss her motherly ways.

"I just feel bad!" I cry out.

"Bella it's not your fault. Renesmee is the one who didn't tell Emmett." I don't bother
telling her that's not why I feel bad.

Edward, Alice, Jasper, and Carlisle walk in the door.

"What's wrong with Bella?" Alice asks Esme walking/woddling over to us.

"She feels bad that Max is adopted."

"Aww Bella, come with me." Alice takes my arm and pulls me to the hallway. What's up
with the hallway today? It's like a comphernce room. "I went and saw a doctor yesterday
morning." She has a huge smile on her face. "It's a girl!" That cheered me up.

"Oh my god! Really?! I thought you wanted to wait."

"I did but it was driving me crazy. Jasper was fine with it, he's happy he's gonna have
a little girl." Alice is glowing so much, I don't think I've ever seen anyone glow so much.
I'll miss her hyperness.

"Do you know what you're going to name her?"

"Yes. Jasper and I picked out names we liked a couple weeks ago, we settled on Olivia
Makynzie Cullen." I wonder what she'll look like.

"That's a pretty name."

"Hey Alice I need you to help me." Rose says poking her head out of the room her and
Emmett are sharing.

"Okay. Talk to you later Bella." She says and walks to the room.

I walk back to my room before Edward sees me and wants to talk. I don't think I could
handle it yet. I get on my laptop and look up "Swan Family History", I find nothing that
I didn't already know. Then an idea pops into my head: look up my mom's family. My
mom's last name is an uncommon one so only a couple of names poped up. They had to
all be related. My mom's name was there.

"Lana Pattinson." (A/N: I couldn't think of another last name!) From the pictures I saw
of my mom they look alike. That must be my aunt. She lives in Missouri in some town
I've never heard of. Guess that's where Max and I are going. It's 5pm now so that
still gives us a couple of hours. I want to leave when everyone is asleep.

Someone knocks on the door. I quickly save the information before closing the website.

I open the door to Edward. "Hey." I do my best to smile at him.

"Hey." He believed it. He gives me a quick kiss on the lips.

"What's up?" I ask moving to the side so he can come in.

"Esme wanted me to tell you that we're all having dinner at the restruant in the lobby
tonight."

"Okay. Thanks for telling me." I can't even look at him. I know when he finds out I left
he'll be heart broken. He'll move on Bella, I tell myself, it's for the best.

"Is something wrong?"

"No I'm fine, just strest you know." I shrug. "Well I have to get ready so umm do you
mind leaving?" I ask blushing.

"Okay." He leans in to kiss my lips but I turn my head so he kisses my cheack. He looks
at me hurt for a second and it breaks my heart. It's for the best.

Once he leaves I wake Max up. "We're going to dinner." I tell him when he wakes.

"I thought we were leaving?"

"Tonight. Do not mintion it at dinner." He nods. I change him into clean clothes before
I get ready.

Dinner at our table is silent. Every once in awhile someone will say something but mainly
it was quiet. Akward. After dinner everyone goes to their separate rooms.

EPOV

After dinner I walk Max and Bella to their room. Bella tucks Max in before we go
into the hallway. She looks at me but she looks far away. Since earlier I could tell
something was wrong with her.

"Night love." I say stepping closer to her.

"Goodnight Edward." She leans in and kisses me. She kisses me like she's never going
to see me again. She pulls away and puts her hand on the doornob to her room. "Bye. I
love you." She turns away thinking she looked away fast enough that I wouldn't see the
tear running down her cheack but I did. She slams the door before I can say anything.

I walk back to my room really confused.

BPOV

I wake Max up at 12am so we can leave.

All night I was writing a letter to everyone. As we walk down the hall with all our things
I tape the note to Edward's door.



Omg they're leaving! Please don't hate me!!!! Next chapter will be up tomorrow hopefully!!!!
