The Twilight Saga

A/N: I finally got into writing. Tell me what you think (:
Chapter 1: Jacob

So here I am, sitting on my bed, looking at my baby pink colored walls, with some antique art, straightening my hair while I hear Jacob zipping up his backpack in his room.

Zip, and unzip. Zip and unzip. If he continues like that, he’ll probably break the thing.

I got up and walked up to my wall sized mirror and look at myself. Wow.

I can’t believe Alice would make me wear such a thing. Ever since me and my family moved to Portland, Oregon, Alice went straight to the mall, and tagged me along with her. She found TONS of dresses and insisted on buying me all of them (8 in total, each $800ish dollars) I had to let her down, it was just too much.

But of course my dear Alice never leaves the mall empty-handed so I let her choose one dress… and I regret it.
She bought me a red, thigh-lengthed dress, with a neckline that shoots down to my belly button, and my back was almost exposed, but some tiny, skinny, and tightening pieces flung from side to side of my back part, making crosses, which barely covered anything.
To complete it, she got me red high heels, nothing to special.

I had to admit though; I really liked it here in Portland. Wilson High School was full of students, I thought to myself that since there were a lot of kids, then me and my family shouldn’t have a problem blending in.

I was wrong. Very wrong.

Rosalie told me that it doesn’t matter what part of the world be move to, we will always be the “prettiest.” I couldn’t help but laugh at that.

Rosalie also told me that since I’m 16, I should start dating, then she got into this whole history of, well, herself. She told me how she started dating when she was 10, and she told me how everyone loved her, how she got a lot of compliments from the boys, and, blaah.

Mom stopped her when she got into details, I had no idea why but Mom got mad, and I saw dad roll his eyes.

Portland was… interesting. It was always so rainy, which is a good thing. I met some nice people at my high school; this one
girl who was the first to talk to me was called Lucianaee. But since it was a mouthful, everyone called her Luci. I had to admit, she was really pretty. She had long, black, with a blue tone, hair and side bangs, with a small, perfectly oval face, and almond shaped eyes; and a perfectly straight noise with freckles running across her bridge. Luci had really thin lips.

I looked at myself in the dress, and my straight hair.
I’ve never really straightened my hair before… it looks odd.

All of a sudden I heard a thud, making the house rumble, which causes me to fall back on my bed and roll backwards back onto the floor. Ow. The books on the shelf stumbled down and onto my head. Arg. Then I heard a howl, no, a cry in pain. It was Jacob.

Oh no.

I shot up and fumbled with the door-knob for a few seconds. Ugh, stupid traits. Dad says I got it from mom.
Once I got it open, I half-ran to Jacob’s room, I would have ran faster if I didn’t have my high heels on. Once I got to his room, I saw that dad, mom, Carlisle, and Esme were already at his door, hovering.
I pushed dad and mom away from the door, flying into Jacob’s room. I looked around the room, trying to find Jacob.

He wasn’t here.

Then I saw the window open, and the curtain fluttering from the breeze.

“Nessie,” I heard my mom walk up behind me. “Come with me.”

“No!” I tried to scream, but my voice only came out in a cracked whisper.

“Nessie, please. You need to come.”

“No, mom! You, I, I don’t… this can’t be happening!” I ran out of his room crying, and jumped down the stairs. How can mom be so calm about this?

I was about to jump down the other flight of stairs, but I suddenly stumbled down to the floor. Huh.
Then I noticed that my heel broke. Oh gosh, I don’t have time for this.

I angrily took the heel in my hands and stood up, darted down the stairs and threw the heel angrily at the front door. I screamed in frustration, and fell to the floor.

I don’t know how long I’ve been lying here, probably hours. Or minutes?
That didn’t really matter now, because right then, I heard the voice of an angel.
“Nessie? I’m okay. It’s me, don’t worry, I’m right here.”
I knew that voice. It was… Jacob’s. I froze in my place. I didn’t know what to do.

After a couple of minutes, everything started to blur out. I looked up, scared. I only saw the angel’s blurry brown skin and dark hair. I rubbed my eyes to see better but everything was still blurry. I stood up, panicked, but then the room started spinning, spinning, and spinning. Then everything went black.

Chapter 2: Weird

“Nessie, can you hear me?”

“Hey shorty, wake up!”

I groaned mentally.
My head kind of irritates me.
What I felt wasn’t pleasant, but not painful either, like a silent pain.

I heard a sigh of relief.

“What is it, Edward?” I think it was mom’s voice. I couldn’t tell.

“She’s half-awake. I can hear her thoughts.”

“I knew it. We should have ran faster, and it doesn’t help that Alice was gone.”

“Hey, hey… don’t blame everything on me, okay?”

“Well, it is kind of your fault that you went hunting right before-!”

“Calm down, Rose!”

“Shut up, Edward.”

I heard a door open, then some shuffling.

“I think Jacob’s home.” Someone said quietly.

I felt a stab of pain.

“What now, Jazz?” I heard mom say quietly.

I groaned again, this time out-loud. I felt the atmosphere shift, and freeze. I started fluttering my eyes open, confused.
Was there something I didn’t know?

“M-o-mm?” I croaked.

“Ness!” Mom nearly jumped on top of me when she hugged me. “Oh, ness! Are you okay? We heard you scream.”

“I… screamed?”

“Yes. Twice.”

“The first one…” dad started, “Was a high pitch scream, it was ear deafening. We immediately started back towards the house. Then we heard a lower scream…”

“You screamed ‘Jacob!’” Rosalie finished.

Dad gave her a look.

Wow. Did I really scream that out loud? Why did I dream of Jacob? Was it because I really cared for my best friend? Did dad see what I was dreaming…?

I saw dad close his eyes and nod.

I sighed and pulled my blanket over my head.

All of a sudden someone opened the door to my room, and I heard someone chewing on something. Food?

“Aww, Jake! You should have gotten me one!” I heard Emmett say, standing up.

I froze.

“You kidding me? This thing is enough for all of us.”

“Not for me…” Emmett muttered.

“I really think we should get going. Esme, Rose, Emmett, Jasper, Alice?”

Everything was quiet for a few seconds, and then I heard them walk out the door.

“What’s going on? Why is everyone so down?” Jacob asked.

I couldn’t help but groan, his voice brought back my awful dream.

“Ness??” Jacob was running to me immediately, and sat on the bedside. I felt his hand hover over me, and freeze there.
I heard dad sigh, and mom pat dad’s shoulder. They both walked out of my room silently.

I waited for Jacob to say something, but heard nothing.

After a few seconds, Jacob removed the blanket that was on top of me, and folded it to the side. He cupped my chin and stared at me.

Somewhere, deep, deep inside of me, I felt something. But I’m not sure what it was.

He continued to study my face.

Jacob sighed and let go of me, and looked down.

“Ness… I… just don’t know how I will live through this… it’s been too long… and I think it’s time…”

To me, Jake was speaking gibberish. What does he mean?

Since I couldn’t find my voice, I reached up and touched his cheek and asked what he meant. I felt Jacob freeze by my touch. Huh. I immediately dropped my hand.

He didn’t answer. I studied his eyes; it looked like he was in deep thought.

“Jacob!” I heard Jasper call. “The time!”

Goodness! I forgot the time!

I swung out of bed and looked at the clock, it was 9:25. The party starts at 9:45!
I started looking for my clothes but then I realized I was already in my red dress…
Ahh, I must of fallen asleep right before the party.
I opened my closet and jumped up to grab my bag. Agh, why was it so high up?
Then I saw a big hand grab it. I gasped. I forgot Jacob was still in here.

“Thanks…” I said awkwardly.

I quickly sprayed on my perfume, and dashed out the door. Right before I was going to run down the stairs, I felt hands hold on to my shoulders.

Jake spun me around and stared into my eyes again.

“Ness, I want you to forget everything I told you, please.”
I opened my mouth to protest but he cupped his hand over my mouth.

“There’s no time for this now, just go and enjoy the party, okay?” He kissed my forehead and smiled.

Ahh, I loved that smile.

Ridiculously, I stared into his eyes… dazzled.
Why was I reacting like this?
He’s is my best friend, and that’s it.

I heard Jasper clear his throat and Emmett tried to hold in laughter, but failed.

Jacob scooped me up in his arms and jumped down the whole flight of stairs. I couldn’t help but giggle.
Dad was waiting for me by the garage door, a jacket in his arms.
Of course, we didn’t need jackets, but we put them on anyways, to blend in.
I jumped out of Jacob’s arms and shrugged into my night blue jacket.
I waved goodbye to Jacob and ran to the garage. Everyone was gone, except for mom and dad.
I got into the Volvo, and put on my seatbelt.
aaargh. when's the next chapter up?

This is amazing....please keep writing.....
Luvit and looking forward to the next chapter.
Chapter 3: Surprise

“Dad, why can’t Jake come with us?”

All we were going to do is go to Tanya’s house to celebrate her birthday; I don’t see why Jake isn’t allowed to come.

“Ness…” my mom started, “I’ve told you a hundred times already…”

“I know, I know. But still, it’s still seems unfair to me. The Denali’s already know Jake.”

“But their friends don’t.”

“So! They can get to know him!”

This is frustrating. Mom never acts like this; she always loved to take Jake wherever she goes. Is she trying to hide something?

“Mom…” I began, but stopped, realizing I was just going to start a fight. I sighed.
Defeated, I looked out the window. We were almost in California now. From the corner of my eye, I swear I saw dad nod.

I pouted. Tanya’s birthday is going to be so boring without Jake.
Jake was always the silly, mood lifting one… but of course we had Jasper for that, but I’d rather my mood be lifted by Jake then by powers.

I loved Jake, as a brother, of course…
But when he touches me, I feel something else; and I’m not quite sure what it is.

I giggled. I’m being ridiculous.

Jake always cared for me, like a big brother, what am I thinking?

A crackling noise startled me. I jumped in my seat and looked out the window, oh. Thunder.

Mom laughed at me.

“Dad, where are we headed to?”

“I thought the Denali’s lived in Maine?”

“They do.”

Dad said nothing. Mom stayed quiet. Okay, there is definitely something going on.

Is this a trap? Maybe it is… if it’s so secretive, then it must be something I couldn’t know about, and they were bringing me to it!

Of course I trust my parents, but I’m curious. Stupid mom, why am I so much like her?

I tried to do this fast.
I slowly reached for the door handle… to jump out… the door clicked open… I stood up…

“NOO!!” Dad suddenly roared, bringing the car to a sudden halt which flung me forward and into my mom’s lap.
Then I heard other cars screech to a halt, Rosalie’s Convertible, Carlisle’s Mercedes, and Alice’s Porsche.

“Nessie!!” Rosalie screeched.

Mom opened the door and carried me out.

Rosalie wammed into me and hugged me, tightly.
“Don’t ever do that again!” Rosalie screeched again.

“I’m sorry! I was… scared or, more curious than scared…” I apologized.

“You were scared,” Jasper corrected.

I frowned. Ugh… Jasper.

Dad chuckled, “Do you seriously think we would hurt you, ness? We’re not monsters, well, technically we are but you get the point.”

I giggled at the monsters part, it’s true. What was I thinking?

“Alice, why didn’t you see this coming?” Rosalie boomed.

Alice rolled her eyes, “I can’t see half-species very good, Rose.”

“But you can see something can’t you??”

“Yes, I can. But I wasn’t looking for Nessie at the moment.”

“Well you should’ve,” Rosalie spit, and hugged me tighter.

“Now now, girls, we should be getting on the road,” Carlisle insisted.

Rosalie huffed and kissed me on my forehead, and went to her car. Alice just rolled her eyes and danced back to her Porsche with Jasper by her side.

Embarrassed, I stepped into the Volvo and tried to forget about Dad.

No luck with that.

“Ness, I’m sorry. I was being cruel. I should of have … invented a better lie,” Dad said.

Invented a better lie??

Dad nodded, “I can’t tell you where we’re headed… but I promise you you’ll love it.”

I sighed and lay on the seat, getting my blanket from under the seat.

I closed my eyes and waited for a new day to begin; and everything went black, again…

A/N: This contains some mature content, it’s not too bad (just contains one adult sentence) but to be on the safe side, please don’t read if you are under 13. You can go ahead and read the chapter, I’ll put a star ( * ) between the mature part so you can skip that. Thanks :)

Chapter 4: I never would have guessed

I opened my eyes and saw a big blurry brown thing.

I sat up and rubbed my eyes, trying to clear my vision. I opened them and looked around. I was in a room poorly lighted by a small lamp in the corner, making the room look dark with a sepia tone.

I was lying on a queen sized bed, with nice, warm, silky sheets. To my left, there was a small table with a lamp and phone, and beyond that was a big window with light brown curtains.

I looked straight ahead, and there was a built in flat screen television on the wall, with three bean bag chairs in front of it.

To my right, there was another queen sized bed, and beyond it was a small room, probably a bathroom.

I got out of my bed and stretched. I then noticed I was in pale pink cotton shorts and a white tank top. Mom must have changed me.

I walked sluggishly to the window and opened the curtains, it was dark. Was it morning or night? I looked around the room to see if there was a clock. A digital clock read 1:26 am.

Ugh. Just past midnight…
I looked out the window again and saw the freeway, and an airport more out in the background. Where am I?

Of course I knew I was in a hotel room, but where exactly am I?

I squinted my eyes and saw a big green sign with white words that read ‘Bienvenidos a Buenos Aires’.

Buenos Aires?

Oh! I’m… we’re in Argentina. Didn’t dad say we were going to Nevada?

And thinking about dad… where are the rest? Mom? Dad?

Dad, if you can hear me, please, give me some sign that you’re close. I’m freaked, and I need answers!

I waited.

No answer.

I laughed. There he is.

I skipped to the bathroom door. “Trying to play Hide and Seek, huh?”

“Not really,” Dad said quietly.

I laughed. “Then why didn’t you answer me?”

“Nessie, I’ll just say that dad and I got carried away, we’ll be out in a sec.”

I blushed. Why did I ask? I laughed quietly and hopped onto my bed and turned on the T.V.

I heard a knock on the door.

I got up and peeked through the little hole to see who it was.

I opened the door and jumped up to tackle hug Alice, but she beat me to it, and pushed me backwards. We both stumbled to the floor laughing.

“Alice! Where are we? Why are we here? What are you doing here? Why did you come so late at night? Wh-”

“Whoa! Hold on ness! Calm down. I’ll explain everything in a bit, once Bells and Eddie get out.”

I heard a hiss from the bathroom. I laughed. Dad absolutely hated his nickname ‘Eddie’.

Alice and I got up and walked over to the bean bag chairs and sat.

I fiddled with a rubber band I found on the floor, when Mom got out of the bathroom.

“What took you so long?” I asked.

“You don’t want to know.”

“Okay, okay! Eddie hurry up,” Alice said, snickering.

Dad flashed out the bathroom and onto the bed, picking mom up and cradling her in his lap.

Alice took a deep breath, and she squinted her eyes in concentration.

Dad did the same, but looking at Alice.

Ahh, they were probably mind-talking. This really bothered me, and I could tell it bothered mom also.

After a couple of seconds, Dad sighed. “Ness… would you like to go to a party tomorrow?” Dad tried to sound excited, but failed… which is really rare of him. He’s usually a good actor.

I looked at the floor and nodded. “What kind?”

“Surprise,” Dad smiled crookedly, with a teasing glint in his eyes.

I decided to play dumb, “Surprise… birthday?” I smiled poorly, showing my teeth.

Dad laughed, “Not even close.”

“Please, tell me! I don’t like surprises…”

“Ironic, isn’t it?” Alice laughed looking at Mom.

Mom scowled at her.

“Oh, ness. Just trust me! You’ll love it!” Alice said clapping her hands and jumping up and
down. “I’ll dress you up, so you better get some sleep!” Alice winked and flashed out the room, leaving her laugh echoing.

I groaned and swung my head back. As much as I loved parties, I didn’t like to be Alice’s doll!

Dad laughed and threw me onto my bed. “Night, ness. You’ll need it.”

“Sure, sure…” I mumbled, mimicking Jacob.

Oh, how I missed Jacob!

I sat up and grabbed my purse. I took out a picture of me and Jacob, I sighed.

I got under the covers and kissed my picture. “…’miss you…” I mumbled, before I fell into unconscious.
