"Did you think I wouldn't find out, Desiree? Did you think you could hide it forever?" Alec asked. I didn't say anything.
"Answer me."
No answer.
"Desiree!"
"I DON'T KNOW! OK? I don't know what you want me to say.....yeah, I admitted it and yeah you found out...can't change anything now! It's not like you feel the same way."

He was silent for a long time. I turned to walk away. "Who says I don't?" he whispered.
I stopped walking.
"Ha ha very funny Alec."
"I don't find anything humorous about it."
I sighed. "Just forget about it."
"How can I? We can't just ignore it, Desiree."
"And why not?"
"Because....."
"Exactly, there's no reason that we can't ignore it."
"You know what, just forget we even spoke ok?"
"Fine, Alec.....in fact, I wish I had never even considered coming here."

I shook my head and turned around. "Desiree wait! That was out of line!" He called after me. I just kept on walking.
