"WHAT?!" I yelled and jumped to my feet.
"Now, Collin. You have to calm down. You just experienced multiple vampire bites. We still don't know what will happen to you." Carlisle informed me.
"Doc," I hissed through clenched teeth. "I know that love isn't the same for you as it is for us, but this is hard. Just being away from her for a minute is hard. But not knowing where she is and what is happening to her..." I shook my head. "It's killing me."
"I understand that, but you have to understand that you could get seriously hurt before you even get a chance to see her." He was always calm and understanding.
Then my mood took a sudden turn. I almost wanted to sleep. I was very at ease, calm.
"Jasper! I hate your power," I snarled.
"As do others," he said in what appeared to be a voice that was just as peaceful as I felt.
He still wouldn't stop.
"Cut it out!" I screamed. Before I even thought of lunging for him, I did.
It surprised both of us. It surprised me so bad, that I just froze. I didn't move a muscle. Neither did he. Everyone in the room was standing now.
"What the hell was that?" Jacob broke the silence.
"I don't know," I whispered.
I wanted to move and sit. Again, before i thought this, I was sitting where I had before. I didn't even feel myself move. The whole room was eerily still and they just watched me. I just stared ahead of me, not moving.
After a while, my phone buzzed in my pocket, making me jump. Before i knew it, the phone was by my ear and the "talk" button already pressed. This is getting scary, I thought.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Collin!" It was Lauren.
I sighed. "Hey. Where are you?" I asked.
"If you listen to anything I'm about to tell you, I'm gonna strangle you myself the next time I see you."
"That's not what I told you to tell him, Gri Bir," a man on the other line said. I heard her grunt and gasp for air. It killed me to hear her in pain.
"Tell that a*****e that if he hurts you, I'm gonna kill him."
She chuckled. "I know you can-" she paused, as if she didn't want to say something- "dog," she whispered.
I gasped. "What?"
"That's right. I know. if you don't stand down in killing their kind, I'm gonna expose y'all for what you truly are." She paused again. "Flee infested, dirt filled, an abomination... a dog," she hissed the last word.
You wouldn't beleive how much each word stung. My heart broke at each of her hate filled words.
"Meet me so we can negotiate the terms."
before I could ask where, the line went dead. I held the phone to my ear. Waiting for her to call again and say she didn't mean it, that she'll see me soon, that she loves me, just like how I love her. Waited and hoped, to no avail.
I snapped the phone shut, let it fall to the ground. I got up off the couch and walked slowly to my room. I slowly closed the door behind me and just stood there.
"So this is the infamous room?" She asked looking around my room.
"I don't know what i did to make it infamous." i smiled.
"Oh, it's just infamous to us girls," she teased.
I don't know why, but I blushed.
She walked slowly around my room, looking at all my drawings as she went.
"Did you draw all these?" She asked.
"Yeah, I get bored easily." I scratched my head.
"They're really good." She stopped right in front of the one I was hoping she would just skip over. The Jacob wolf. "Did you see this or something? 'Cause I don't think anyone could've come up with that. Well, I couldn't have, anyways."
"Uh, yeah. I saw it. I was hiking one day and stopped to take a breather. That's when the wolf walked by. it was strange, it stopped and looked at me. it wasn't afraid of me. It just watched me. Stood there and watched." I was remembering that the bear of a wolf scared the living hell out of me then. I hadn't changed yet. But Jacob sensed that I was going to. That's why he was wandering the woods, making sure i had someone to help me when I did. "He sat down right there and stared at me. So, like an idiot, I took out my sketch book and drew him. I don't know."
"His eyes seem very inteligent. To inteligent for a wolf." Why does she insist on always brining that up? "It's just like the one I saw on my first day here. It was grey and black. The most beautiful wolf I'd ever seen."
She was talking about me! YES! I was about to explode with excitment.
Then she became real rigid. She looked out the window as if she were scared. i looked, too. For a while now I got the feeling that someone was watching us, but I thought I was just being paranoid. Guess not.
"Are you uncomfortable?" I asked. before I got an answer, I walked to my window and closed the blinds. "There, is that better?" I turned and was attacked... attacked with a kiss.
She let out a soft moan and her fingers got lost in my hair. I slowly grabbed her curvy hips. I dragged her body closer to mine and lifted her slightly off the ground, so I wouldn't have to bend down any more. Without any encouragement, she wrapped her legs around my waist and locked her ankles.
i slowly walked to my bed and laid her down. I let her breath and attacked her neck. She giggled. Her hands reached down and unbottuned my shorts. I was in pure bliss as she touched me. Then we...
**End of Flashback**
I sighed. I wish I could hold her and tell her I love her and make her gasp my name like that again. I would be happy. But now that she was gone, telling me I was worthless and threatening the pack... I haven't been this hurt since I figured out that I wasn't going to ever meet my dad.
I walked to my bed and fell on it. I buried my face in my pillow and wished for suffocation, but I didn't feel the need to breathe. I felt myself get drowsy and decided to lay my head on it's side in case I fell a sleep.
Each word was like acid on my tongue, it didn't belong there. "That's right. I know. If you don't stand down in killing..." I looked at the note in my hands, what I was supposed to say. If you don't stand down in killing our kind... that's what it said. Our kind. i'm not one of them. I'm not gonna say that. "their kind, I'm gonna expose y'all for what you truly are." I paused as I heard them sigh in irritation. I giggled internally. Then I continued with what the note said. "Flee infested, dirt filled, an abomination,... a dog," I choked on the last word. I hated telling him this. i loved him, not hated him.
I was about to cry, when the cough of Aagha reminded me what would happen if I go out of line again.
"Meet me so we can negotiate the terms," I said in monotone. I closed the phone and let it fall to the ground.
"Collin!" i screeched as my nails raked his bare back.
He let out a soft moan as he entered me. He kissed me passionately and rolled on his back. he dragged me with him so that I was on top of him. he smiled at me and I at him. he had some sweat on his brow, so I wiped it away.
he lifted his head so he could whisper in my ear. "I love you." His voice was still a little gruff from what we just did. it was very sexy. I kissed him.
"Guess what?" I whispered in his ear. "You're in danger."
"Yeah. 'Cause I love you, too. That's a very serious condition."
He laughed. "Yes it is."
He brushed some hair behind my ear. He grinned. He looked as if he had just seen an angel or something. Like he saw the most beautiful thing in the world.
"I don't know. I just felt like saying so."
"OK? Are you still intoxicated by my kiss or something?"
"I'm always intoxicated by you. It is very dangerous."
I giggled. We just gazed into each other's eyes. His pale blue eyes made my breathing speed up.
He kissed me and I felt him buck...
That was the night he told me everything: that he and his friends were werewolfs and the whole imprinting thing, that he had imprinted on me. He loved me. I loved him. I reminised in the way it felt to have him inside me, moaning my name...
Aagha cleared his throat.
If you don't like what I think, then don't read my mind, i thought.
"Well, it would be easier if you didn't scream them. Greg?"
He suddenly appeared at Aagha's side. "Yes?"
"Will you take Ms. Harvock to her cell now?"
"Yes." Greg ran up to me, picked me up and started to run to my cell. As he ran, I let the tears fall. "You know, you should try to forget about him while you're here. It would be easier on you." Greg has been the nicest one to me. He was sweet, unlike his fellow leeches.
"It would be easier, but I can't. Forgetting about him is like saying that I'll never get out of here."
"It means giving up."
We were quiet for a while. It takes a long time to get to my cell, even for a vampire with vampiric speed. Greg stopped in his tracks.
"Would you like to see your dad?" He asked quietly.
I gasped. Was he really giving me the option of seeing my father? "Can I?"
"I'll let you, but you can't tell the others. I'd be wolf chow if you do."
"I swear I won't."
"You can't even think it," he cationed.
"Okay, here we go." He backed up some and darted down a hidden tunnel.
The wind whiped my hair in my face, stinging my eyes.
Just as suddenly as he had before, he stopped.
"No, please, no! I don't want you to any more. No no no no no no." A man's voice moaned.
"I'm not thirsty right now, you have a visitor."
"Is it the police?"
"No. It's your daughter."
"Yeah, dad." At first I didn't recognize his voice, but hearing it now, it was definetly my dad.
"Oh, Lauren. It's so good to hear your voice, something familiar. WAIT! What are you doing here? Those son of b******! I swear, when I get my hands on them, they're dead. DEAD, DEAD, DEAD!" I recognize that tone. He was pissed. He only used that voice in traffic or with his fellow workers when they didn't cooperate.
"Dad, I'm fine."
"Are you positive?"
"Let me see her."
Greg set me down and wlked to the invisible door.
"Stay here. You can't come in."
He slid the metal doors open and shuffled inside. He closed the door behind him. I heard some mre shuffling and then a light within the cell was flicked on. The light made me blind for a second. i blinked rapidly, trying to get my eyes adjusted. When they did, I wanted the dark again.
My dad was on a chair, tied to it. he had a blind fold over his eyes. He was unbearably skinny, bone skinny. He was literally skin and bone. It was sickening. He had bruises on his arms and face, he also had what looked like bite marks.
I gasped. "Oh, dad."
"That bad, huh? Figured."
Greg came up behind my dad and removed the blind fold. The familiar brown eyes made me feel like I was home again.
He sighed. "You are OK."
"Have I ever told you that you are beautiful and that you look like your mom?"
"Um, no to the mom thing but yes to the other."
"Well, you do look like your mother."
Greg's phone buzzed.
"Yeah?" Then when he answered, his voice was just a buzz. "All right," he snapped the phone shut. "We need to go." He pulled the blind flod back over my dad's eyes.
In no time at all, we were down the hall and back in the "lobby" of the unknown place. Greg threw me to the floor a couple of yards away. I grunted. Then I felt cold hands grab my arms and drag me across the floor.
A yard or two away, were the chains. They tossed me so that i was on my stomach.
"What's going on?" I asked as they locked my arms and legs in the chains, one at a time.
"You'll see," Henry hissed.
I lifted myself to my knees and threw my head up to look at the door to which I faced. They all gathered around me and took a defensive position.
"Would anyone mind telling me waht the hell is going on?!"
before anyone could answer, the doors busted open and out came the wolves. All sixteen of them. ALL of them.
Then, I spotted the one I wanted to be beside. Collin.
"Collin." His head snapped up at my voice. When he saw me, he started to growl.
"I told you not to come, you bonehead."
Dum, dum, dum. Wonder what will happen? I don't know if I said this already, but I won't be able to update as often as I had in the past. School started so, it will take a while before I can update again. ANYWAYS! Hope y'all are enjoying my story! Thanks for taking your time to read it!
