this starts off in eclipse with jake's point of view, but it's different from real story. this is just my version.
a lot of things change for the residents of LaPush and Bella Swan. desire, confusion, and murder weave new paths for each of their lives. secrets reveal themselves and rupture the skin. new passions come to light. can imprinting make love easier?... can true love conquer imprinting?
Jacob Black Forever Chapter 1: Sunrise
i woke up this morning to find my legs stretched over the end of my bed. dang. i had grown again. i sat up and yawned, and stretched and flexed my arms. i felt like a freak. my muscles bulged. i looked in the mirror and decided that maybe they weren't so bad. i put some gray sweat pants over my legs and went to the kitchen for breakfast. dad was already there. i opened the fridge and drank the milk right from the carton.
Billy cleared his throat and folded his arms across his chest. "you're not dressed for school, yet?"
"i'm not going," i winked at him. i took another swig of milk from the carton.
"why not son?" he asked. i thought the answer was obvious.
"dad. look at me. i'm a freak of nature. you think kids at school aren't gonna notice these physical changes and make fun of them?"
"you shouldn't care what they think. you are something special. you have been chosen by nature to be the next alpha in our family tree. if i had gotten that chance, i wouldn't be complaining about it like you are," dad said.
"whatever, dad."
i poured him a glass of milk and set it on the table. then i rolled him under it and made him something for breakfast.
"aren't you going to school today?" he asked. it wasn't a question. more like if you don't say yes then don't bother coming home this afternoon.
"maybe," i said. i put a pop tart in the toaster. i enjoyed testing his patience to an extent. but i always know where my limits are with dad. i looked out the window and the sun's ray beamed down like a lazer.
"you are not a freak. you are special," dad said.
"sure," i responded, still staring out the window. the sun never hurt my eyes when i look directly at it. it's like i'm the same species as the star. we could be one. we could take each other's place in nature. i whipped my head. then i felt my hair and realized the long black locks i use to sport were gone. i always seem to forget that. i rubbed the back of my head. my hair now was short and glossy. if i grew it back out, i would be one hairy wolf.
i put the pop tart on a plate and slid it to dad.
"thanks," he said. "now go put on a shirt and go to school."
i walked back to my room and looked around. what a mess, i shook my head. almost every piece of clothing i owned was either ripped or shredded. i siffed through the piles looking for something halfway decent to throw on. i put on a white shirt. then i took off the sweat pants, they didn't go with the shirt. but they did if i wanted to look like a homeless guy. i slipped on some blue jeans and then stuck my feet into some sneakers. i grabbed my backpack and banged my forehead walking out of the doorway. i said bye to dad and this time i ducked my head as i walked through the doorway of the front of the house. it felt like summer to me, but it was October. i got into my truck and drove to school. i was low on gas but i could make it there and back without running out. i decided to get some gas anyway before i returned home.
the school parking lot was scarce of cars. and i felt guilty for being one of the few kids that had a vehicle. i parked and walked up the steps just as the bell rang for first period. i caught Mrs. Nenette blushing at my physique. i couldn't help but smile, but i worried about giving her the wrong impression. like i said, i couldn't help but smile.
"good morning, Mrs. Nenette," i said.
"good morning, Jacob," she said.
i was the tallest kid walking through these halls. girls smirked at me and flirted. guys looked at me and wondered. maybe they wondered how i get so buff. maybe they wanna ask but are too 'macho' to ask. oh well. it's not like there's an answer i can give them. because there is none that i can share. they will just have to wonder. i walked into Mrs. Ono's class before ducking my head. she smiled and said hello. the thick round lenses of her glasses got jammed into her high set cheekbones as she smiled. i said hello and took my seat. i put my back pack on the floor.

the lights were on on Paul's porch. "thanks, Collin," i said. he nodded once with his big head. then he darted off into the trees to join the other wolves. i walked into Paul's house. he was sitting at the table. a tuna sandwich on the plate infront of him. he forced a smile. i smiled back with no enthusiasm.
"Jacob dumped me," was the first thing out of my mouth. Paul had a 'seen-it-comin' expression on his face as he shook his head. "what?" i asked.
"Maybe you're old vampire man spoiled you too much," he said.
"What's that suppose to mean?" i demanded.
""you can't have two guys," he said it like it was a ridiculous idea.
"i'm not trying to have two guys," i stressed.
"you're not gonna play that back and forth game with Jake and me, either," Paul said. i huffed. "it's good he dumped you. now you can give each other some air. did it hurt?"
i don't think i will ever get over Jacob Black. no matter how much time passes by. no matter how much things change. if they change at all. his place in my heart is permanent. " a little," i answered. i could feel the acid trying to rise in my guts. i coult tell Paul was holding back a snarky comment for my benefit. he chewed half of his sandwich. then he put the rest back on the plate.
"come over here," he said. his husky voice carried authority. i walked over, his eyes burning me the whole while. i pulled out a chair. but he flung his arm out around my hips and pulled me onto his lap. "how was Charlie?" he asked. i buckled at the mention of Charlie's name. i had no idea what to say. but i know he is in danger. but i don't believe he is dead. he can't be. i think 'Corporal' will use him to bate me.
"he's out on vacation," i used the excuse cops have been trying to convince me of all day.
"i hope he's having a great time," Paul said.
"i doubt it," i mumbled. he is miserable, and scared, and wants to be let go, i thought to myself. Paul rubbed his hands up and down my thighs, generating heat inside me, like magic. it needed to go somewhere. it was making my body uncomfortable. i started straddling on him. i felt his groin swell up right under my hips. he stood up without a warning. i almost fell to the floor. until he caught me and put me on the table. snatching all my clothes off, my head hit the table. he mounted me. lifting my right leg in the air, he licked the back of my thigh, then made his tongue travel up my calf. he kissed my ankle, and then he kissed my foot. then, i felt something hot, hard, and wet jam through my skin. i yelled out something incoherent, as he had managed to find a place inside me that had a strong reaction to his presence. "Oh!.. Paul.. right there," i yelled, then i closed my eyes.
"right here?" he asked, hitting the spot again. he kept banging into that same spot . the passion that pulsated through me intensified with each of his hard thrusts. my body tensed up, the more intense it got, as it got too intense for me to handle. i wasn't ready for this. i never am. forward, he thrusted, his mouth gaped open in shock. he grunted loudly as he released. i don't know what happened, next. i must have passed out. i woke up on the couch. i was wrapped up in a blue robe. i sat up and looked over my shoulder. Paul was cleaning up in the kitchen, mopping the floor and making the kitchen table sparkle. it was about 5: 00 am in the morning. my eyes were still sleepy, but my body, for some reason, had energy that needed work. i got up and tied the robe around my waist. i walked into the kitchen, passing Paul cleaning the table.
"you helped make this mess," he said, as i passed by.
"you made most of it," i countered. i warmed up a slice of pizza in the microwave and ate it really fast. my stomach was flat empty and i craved another slice. but that was the last one. so i moved on to the fridge and ate a few cups of yogurt.
"when did you get an appetite?" Paul griped. i shrugged my shoulders. Paul finished cleaning and put the mop and suds bucket away. he took three cans of ravioli out of the cabinets. emptied each one into a bowl and stuck it in the microwave. i eyed it through the glass door as it revolved around the plate. "don't even think about it," Paul said. i gave him my best puppy dog face. a tactic i haven't used since i was seven. Paul had his pupils turned away from me. they darted to the corner of his eye sockets. he stopped the microwave and mixed the ravioli up with a fork. then he stuck it back in and let it finish cooking. i stood there like i was gonna get some. i opened the microwave during the beep and took out the bowl.
"hey," Paul shouted.
"didn't the elders teach you how to share?" i asked, as he got the bowl from me.
"grab a plate," he caved. i got one and he slid less than half of it onto my plate with the fork. it was like 1 fourth of it. i sighed.
"you're horrible at this," i said.
"well. i'm not use to greedy chicks coming into my house and eating all the food i payed for," he said.
"you said to help myself to anything i wanted," i reminded him.
"i was just trying to be nice," he said. "i didn't mean it literally." after i gobbled down my measely share, i stuck my fork into his bowl and got some more. "hey, why don't you go get some groceries today?" he asked, a smile creeping onto his face. i looked at him. my eyes had slanted.
"you got some cash?" i asked.
"no. you pay for it... of course i got some cash," he griped.
"i was just asking," i slumped in my chair.
"so how does it feel being an imprint," he asked.
"it doesn't feel like anything," i said, surprised by the question.
"you feel nothing?" he asked.
"i don't know what i feel," i said. "when i'm with you. my mind is in chains. when i'm not," i didn't finished, i realized how negative i sounded. i didn't mean for it come out that way.
"you know you don't have to be here if you wanna go," he said.
"not like that," i said, not noticing he had said something. "what i mean is there aren't any other options in my head when i'm with you. nobody is there but you. i'm yours."
he stuck some ravioli in his mouth. "is that what you feel?" i asked.
"i already told you how i feel," he said.
"you don't have to turn it into a bad thing," i said.
"i was planning on having a life. a full life. until you came and messed things up for me," he said.
"it's not my fault you finally couldn't control yourself," i said. "what's wrong with me? why do you hate me so much?"
"i don't hate you," he said, looking into his bowl. "if i could have chosen, i would have chosen different. definitely not you. you were my enemy."
"and i'm not your type," i remembered him saying once before. "you don't want me here."
"god, Bella. you misinterpret so much," he said. "i don't care where you go. i could care less. i want you to be wherever you want to be. if you want to be with Jacob. go over to his house and eat his food. get into his pants, too, if you want."
it was difficult with Paul. sometimes we clicked. and sometimes we didn't. such a hot head.
"he was with Leah," i said, remembering.
"what?" Paul asked.
"he was in bed with her. i walked in on it. that was right before he dumnped me," i said, feeling like a gossiper. i regretted sharing this, it felt wrong to talk about it.
"that sneaky little devil," Paul chirped.
"who? Jake or Leah?" i asked, confused. i didn't care that much.
"Leah," Paul said. he stuffed a ravioli into his mouth.
"it was probably something that just happened out of the blue. maybe he'll come and say he made a mistake," i theorized.
"you'd take him back?" Paul asked.
"if he wants me back," i said. "why not?"
"that's crazy," Paul said. "Jake's not coming back to you. with Leah, once she gets her claws into you, you're not going anywhere. until she says you can."
"where are you getting this from?" i asked, quite entertained by his assessment of Leah.
"she's got her claws into Jake now, huh?" he asked. "she had her claws into me once. she wasn't a wolf then. and i had just joined Sam's pack. we were the only two wolves, then. Leah and i had awesome sex behind the activties center after school. it was my first time. we were outside in the wide open. anybody could have walked up and caught us. we didn't get caught," he said.
"does Sam know about this?" i asked. "did he ever find out."
"he found out. when it was way over between them and he had imprinted on Emily," Paul said. "we phased. i was starring at Leah and the memory of it just flashed across my mind. Sam was crazy mad. but he couldn't do anything about it. it happened a long time ago. he had Emily and figured there was no reason to be mad at me."
"did he forgive you?" i asked.
Paul laughed. "nope. not vocally. we never talked about it in human form."

i helped myself to so more of his ravioli, sticking my fork in it. he blocked mine with his fork.
"Paul, you're being selfish!" i groaned.
"i'm not selfish. you're greedy," he said, chewing. he stood up and took the bowl. he leaned down and pecked my cheek with his lips. i got up from my chair and followed him to the kitchen.
"gimme some cash," i said.
"for what?" he asked.
"so i can do the grocery shopping," i said, playfully hitting him in his back, repeatedly.
"get some out of my pants," he said. i reached in his pocket and took out the wallet. i pulled out a hundred.
"don't go crazy," he said. "and bring back my change." he ran hot water in the sink and started washing the dishes we just ate with.
i went to find my duffle bag. it was in Paul's closet. i put on some clothes and headed out the door.
"and don't get lost!" Paul said, as i was closing the door. i put the money in my pocket. i chuckled to myself. the town was so small and quite quaint. if i wanted to find any store, all i had to do was look up. he said not to get lost. i hope he didn't seriously think i was that dumb. there were no roads, only dirt or grass on the ground. i walked into Nina's Grocer. the bell above the door sounded. i didn't know where to start. so i scanned all the isles. a native woman behind the counter was watching me. she had a light smirk on her face, like she knew something about me. i passed a lady pushing a baby in a stroller down the freezer section. i went up to the front and grabbed a basket after i figured out where everything was.
"hi," the cashier leaned over the counter.
"hi," i smiled.
"i'm Vicky," she said.
"Bella."
"you just moved in?"
"no," i laughed. "i'm just staying with friends for a while. it's not permanent."
"which friends?" she asked. "i heard something different."
"about me?" i asked, surprised how fast talked travel. and even more surprised that people were gossiping about me. i just got here.
"you're Paul Lahote's girlfriend," she said. she called me his girlfriend. if Paul knew what people were saying, he'd probably kick me out to prove them wrong.
"um. i guess so," i shrugged my shoulders, not knowing how to answer. Vicky laughed at my reaction.
"haha. you're cute," she said. i took the basket and went to get started.
"Paul likes steak and ravioli," Vicky called out to me. i blushed, embarrassed. the woman with the baby giggled at me. i cruised the isles, looking for things to soothe my pallet. my self control turned me away from the sweets. we had plenty of junk food already. i got some noodles, and other stuff to make lasagna with. maybe if i show him how well i can cook, then maybe he'll be nicer to me. i hesitated in the freezer isle, Vicky was making sure i got some steak. i pulled it out and ignored her. even though i knew she meant well. i weighed down the basket with chef bouyardi products. Paul eats like a frat boy.
"i'm ready," i said, putting the things on the check out counter. Vicky seemed to be inspecting each of my picks as she ran them through the comp.
"just making sure you're feeding my boy right," she winked. she must have read the confusion on my face and decided to elaborate. "he's my nephew."
"oh," i said, i starred at her as she rang up the items. unconsciously, looking for some family resemblance.
"75.85," she said.
i blinked out of my daze and reached into my pocket and pulled out a hundred. i gave it to her.
"thanks," i said, when she gave me the last bag. she gave me the change next.
"you need some help?" she laughed. all the plastic bags were turning my fingers another color.
"no thanks. i got it," i said. she came from behind the counter and opened the door for me.
"see you around," she said.
"okay. bye," i said.
i turned my head about to walk out before i noticed anyone was on the other side of the door. Paul grabbed it as Vicky was letting it go.
"hey, Auntie Vicky," he said. i laughed at how husky his voice was and how little boyish he acted.
"hey, Paul," Vicky said, grabbing his chin in her hand. she seemed to know him well enough. she didn't ask about me, even though i was right there. probably thinking he would deny me. she just did her little smirk and whirled back into the store.
"what are you doing outside of the house?" i asked.
"i forgot you have scrawny little arms," he said, taking half of the bags that were pinching my fingers. "my change?"
"my pocket," i said. he reached in my back pocket and pulled out the money. he counted it.
"you're kidding, right?" i said. "i wouldn't snip you."
"i didn't say you did," he said, defensively. "i always count. don't you?"
i nodded, feeling quite ashamed and stupid. Paul put a ten in the pocket of my flannel shirt. "that's for doing my grocery shopping."
"you're welcome," i said, pretty snide. i made a face behind his back. we went to his house and put the groceries away. i answered the door when there was knocking. it was Sam.
"hi, Bella," he said.
"hey, Sam."
"i heard about your little escape to Forks," he said. Paul came and stood behind me in the doorway. he smiled at Sam. Sam smiled back, but he didn't seem as happy as he tried to express. "you're not suppose to leave the land. at all."
"i know. i'm sorry," i said.
"if you want to talk to Charlie. we'll be glad to send the message along," Sam said.
"but Charlie's not in town," i mumbled.
"he's on vacation," Paul butt in. he crunched a chip in his mouth. i winced at the lie.
"keep her on the land," Sam said.
"yes sir," Paul nodded. i wanted to laugh. Paul wasn't taking this as seriously as Sam was.
"i told the others to help keep an eye on you, as well. alright," Sam said. "that's all."
he walked off the porch. we shut the door. i don't know if i should tell them my ideas about Charlie. i don't want them having to fend off Volturi vampires. i would die if any of them got hurt trying to kill those kinds of vampires. the Volturi would expect the wolves to get involved after witnessing what they did to Edward. maybe that's what they're counting on. i will find Charlie on my own. but how do i get out of here first.
"i wanna go fishing," i said. Paul looked perplexed.
"you can't fish," he said.
"that doesn't even matter. i can learn," i griped.
"i don't have any fishing gear," he said. "but you know who does. go find him."
he was talking about Billy. but he was thinking Jacob.
"you know where he is go find him.." i mimicked.
"it's not my fault you're predictable," Paul smirked.
"i don't need fishing gear. i'll use my hands," i said. Paul laughed.
"catch a big one," he said. i slammed the door.
Leah was walking towards me. i sighed so hard that i breathed in dust.
"hey, Bella," she said.
"hey."
"i hope i didn't cause you too much trauma, last night," she said.
"i'm fine. thanks for your concern," i said, very flatly.
"don't you wanna know how Jake's doing?" she asked.
"no. not really," i said.
"he's fine. thanks for asking," she said.
"did you want something?" i asked. i felt like she was rubbing it in my face that we broke up.
"nope. just passing through," she said. she walked passed the house. then she changed her mind, and went into Paul's house. i wondered if i should go in and watch her. i walked around town for a little bit. usually, if i walked around this much, i would get aches in my legs because i'm not that active. i walked through the bush until i came across voices. i found the lake. the huge wolf to my right had startled me. it was knawing on a huge tree branch. Embry came out of the water, his half nude body glistening.
"who's that?" i asked him, pointing at the giant wolf laying on the ground, acting like a house pet.
"that's Seth," Embry said.
"so how's it going, Bella?" Embry asked, dazed and happy.
"fine," i said. "i need to get out of here, though."
"don't bother trying," he said. "we got orders to follow."
"whatever," i said. i left and went to the big tree where i parked my truck. the tree was there, but my truck wasn't. "somebody stole my truck!" i said. i turned around and slammed into Embry's naked, wet chest. "quit following me!"
"nobody stole your truck," he said. "it's in Jake's garage. don't bother trying to operate it. Jake took it apart."
i gaped. "no.." i said. "no," i whined.
"what's your problem? you should be thanking us. unless you think no one is after you anymore."
"someone is after me," i said. "don't think they won't come on to the land to get me."
"we won't let them," Embry said.
"you don't get it. these guys are sophisticated and clever," i said.
"what? you don't think we are?" Embry asked. " you don't think we're smart enough to get them."
"i didn't say you weren't. i think you're making a mistake keeping me on the land," i said. "you're practically inviting danger to come here."
"and when they get here, we'll destroy them," Embry said. he wasn't understanding me. he was just refusing to accept my view.
"i need my truck," i walked off.
"you don't like to listen do you," Embry said, following me. "your truck is in pieces. you can't go anywhere." he hopped infront of me and slammed his hands down on my shoulders. "so just take your cute little butt and sit it down somewhere! walk around. buy a hat. eat some ice cream. enjoy." he walked away, leaving me speechless. i would take his advice, if i knew my dad was okay. i walked to Billy's house. Jacob wasn't there. probably patroling. i went to the garage. i whined over my truck. it sat in a pile of parts outside of the garage. he didn't have to take it apart that much. he could have just taken the engine out instead. didn't he think that would be less trouble to put back together. he probably wasn't thinking straight. or maybe he was mad at me. i went into the garage. his rabbit was sitting tall while my truck was basically in the ground. i looked through its window. the keys were on the driver's seat. i could take his truck and drive out of here. but i worried about being stopped by a wolf. i decided to take a chance. i opened the door and grabbed the keys off the seat. i got one foot inside before i was spooked by the garage door opening, letting the sunlight in.
"Jake," i said. he looked at me. i threw the keys on the seat and shut the door.
