Love's Overrated (Edward and Bella story)
I would just like to let you know the spellin gmy be bad and most of the characters belong to the wonderful SM of course. Hope you like it and it takes place when Edward left in New Moon only Bella is convined and well forced by Charlie, Renne,and Phil to moVe to South America with Phil and Renee, because Phil recently got signed there. And there she meets a coven of all female vamps.......... OK I WILL SAY NO MORE YOU HAVE TO READ THE REST!!!!!!
Preface
I thought there would be no escape to the pain I felt, but I was dead wrong. Even if it means hurting my family I was doing what they told me. I was getting over him. I’m sure it isn’t the way they expected, but it works so maybe I’ll be ok. I realized as I looked in the eyes of the man I once loved and still loved as I sought forward to kill him.
Chapter One
Remembering
It’s been almost a month since he left. It hurt too much to say his name even if it was in my head instead of out loud. Charlie didn’t say much of anything to me, he just walked around with a worried look on his face. He tried at first, but something would always remind me of him and Charlie would see me flinch or get upset. I’ve been trying not to remember it but I still feel the pain like it was yesterday.
FLASHBACK
He walked me to my truck and I ordered myself to make my demands.
“Do you mind if I come over today?” He asked before I could say anything while he opened my door for me.
“Of course not.”
“Now?” He asked again urgently.
“ Sure I was just going to drop of a letter for Renee in the mailbox on the way.” He looked at the envelope on the passenger seat and grabbed it.
“I’ll do it,” he said quietly. “And I’ll still beat you there.” He smiled that breathtaking crooked smile at me, but it didn’t reach his eyes.
I just nodded and started the truck as he reached his car and drove off.
Of course he did beat me home and he was parked in Charlie’s spot so I knew he didn’t plan to stay very long. As I stepped out of the truck he grabbed my backpack from me which is usual. Then he shoved it back into the truck. That was not normal.
“Come for a walk with me.” He suggested with no emotion at all, and took my hand. I didn’t answer but I suddenly knew that this was bad very bad. He didn’t wait for an answer and pulled me along to the east side of the house where there was a trail.
We took about five steps onto the trail and he stopped. Wow some walk.
Edward leaned against a tree and just stared at me, his expression unreadable.
“Edward talk to me,” I sounded braver than I was, but that was good. “Ever since the party you have been acting weird and emotionless. Something is up and I want you to tell right now.” He just stood there with shock all over his face, but there was something else in his face I could identify before he controlled his expressions.
“Oh don’t give me that look.” I said when shock was still the dominate feature on his face.
He took a deep breath.
“Bella were leaving.”
I took a breath too.
“Why now? It’s only one more year?”
“Bella it’s time. We couldn’t stay in Forks that much longer after all. Carlisle can barely pass for thirty, and he’s claiming thirty-three now. We’d have to start over soon regardless.”
His answer confused me. Why would we have to leave if his family was going? I stared at him trying to understand it. Then I realized I’d misunderstood.
“When you say we,” I whispered.
“I mean my family and myself.” He said each word was separate and distinct. I can’t believe this can’t believe it. What was I going to tell Charlie?
“Okay,” I said. “I’ll come with you.”
He shook his head. “Bella you can’t where were going isn’t the right place for you.”
“It doesn’t matter where I am just as long as you are there to.” I told him honestly.
“I’m not right for you Bella.”
“You are the very best part of my life!”
“My world is not for you.” He said coldly.
“The other night with Jasper- that was nothing Edward!! Nothing!”
“Your right. What happened with Jasper was exactly to be expected.”
“But in Phoenix when I was in the hospital you promised! You promised you would stay!!”
“I promised I would stay as long as that was best for you.” He corrected me.
“No. This is about my soul isn’t it?” I Shouted the words exploding out of me. “Carlisle told me about that. I don’t care I don’t want it without you!”
He took a deep breath staring at the ground for a moment. His mouth twisted the tiniest bit for a second. When he finally looked up his eyes were cold darker than before like the liquid had frozen solid.
“Bella I don’t want you to come with me.” He spoke the words slowly and precisely.
“You…don’t…want me?” I asked with the words feeling wrong in my mouth as I spoke them.
“No.”
“That changes things.” I was surprised at how calm I sounded and must have looked. I guess it hadn’t really sunk in yet. It still didn’t make much sense though.
He looked away into the trees as he spoke next. “Of course I’ll always love you…in a way. But what happened at your party made me realize it’s time for a change. I don’t want to pretend to something I’m not any more like I have been for so long. I’m not human.” He was right the features on his cold beautiful face were not human.
“Don’t do this.” I whispered and realized my words were far too late. He already had.
“You’re not good for me Bella.” He told me reversing his words from earlier so I had no argument.
“Fine. Go then.” I couldn’t hear hurt in my voice, and it was stronger than I would use if I was in an argument.
“I would like to ask a favor though, if it’s not too much to ask.”
“Okay.” I could help but be curious about what it was.
“Don’t do anything reckless or stupid.” He ordered. “Do you understand what I’m telling you?”
I just nodded.
“For Charlie of course. He needs you. Take care of yourself for him.”
“I will.”
He seemed to relax just a little then looked at the trees and back to me again.
“And I will make a promise to you in return. His is the last you will ever see me. I wont come back. I wont put you through anything like this again, and you can go on with your life without any more interference from me. It will be as if I never existed.”
My blood started pounding louder in my ears and my knees got wobbly.
He smiled gently. “Don’t worry you human, you memory is nothing more than a sieve. Time heals all wounds for your kind.”
“And you memories?” I asked, and it sounded like I was choking on something in my throat.
“Well I wont forget, but my kind were very easily distracted.” He hesitated. “Well I suppose that’s all. We wont bother you any more.”
“Alice. She’s gone?” I realized.
“Yes. She wanted to say goodbye, but I convinced her a clean break would be better for you.”
I was dizzy it was hard to concentrate. His words swirled around in my head. The doctor in Phoenix had showed me the x-ray of my leg. You can see it’s a clean break, his finger traced along the picture of the broken bone. That’s good. It means it will heal more easily, more quickly.
I tried to breath normally, but it just wasn’t going to work right now.
“Wait.” I choked the word reaching for him. He just grabbed my wrist and pinned them to my sides. He leaned down and softly placed his lips to my forehead.
“Take care of yourself,” He breathed cool against my skin. I looked up and realized.
He was gone.
END OF FLASHBACK
I heard Charlie’s car drive up and hurried to wipe my tears from my eyes so that hopefully he couldn’t see that I had been crying again. Then I ran down stairs to start dinner.
Ok so I no this chappie was kinda boring so I promise if I get comments the next will be better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

INVITATION part 1
As I got down stairs Charlie came through the door and immediately locked his gun in a drawer. He just recently started doing this as if he thought I would do something.
“Bella?” Charlie asked as if it would be anyone else, this had bothered me once before when I first moved to Forks.
“In here.” I told him as he walked into the kitchen.
“Have you started making dinner yet?” he asked me suddenly.
“No, but I was about to what did you have in mind?” I asked him emotionless. I tried to smile, but the look on his face showed he’d seen through it.
“I was just thinking I would order a pizza instead.” he told me picking up he phone ordering the pizza. That just gives me more free time to try not to think about him but I feel like if I don’t remember I will forget and I don’t want that to happen. I guess I could make Charlie happy by watching tv or something with him. DING-DONG
The doorbell was ringing, and I expected it to be the pizza only that would be kina fast for pizza to be made I realized. I went to open the door and was surprised of who I saw behind it.
“Jacob!” I said and was suddenly being embraced by him. Jake had changed a lot. He was taller, and had muscle’s all along his arms. Most girls would probably kill to be where I was right now, but I only loved Jacob as a friend.
“Jake what are you doing here!?” I asked once he finally put me down. I was surprised I actually felt a little happy he was here. He was wearing jeans and a short sleeved brown, kinda tight showing his muscles, shirt.
“Well my dad was coming here to go to the store and I decided to come see you while he was here.” he told me as I motioned for him to come inside. Of course by now Charlie had to come see what was going on and when he came around the corner he didn’t look surprised at all.
“Jacob! Is Billy with you?” he asked.
“No. He’s at the store right now.” Jake explained again.
“Ok well when he comes back the pizza should be here and I want you guys to stay for dinner.”
“Sure Charlie. Hey do you mind if I steal Bella from you for a few minutes? Just to take a walk?”
“That’s just come back before it gets too dark outside.”
“Sure dad.” I said grabbing my brown coat off the rack.
I wasn’t sure where we were going until Jake started walking to the east of the house. The last place I saw him, and I felt tears coming to my eyes. I hadn’t been there since it happened just stayed locked in my room. No Bella you are on a walk with Jake don’t think about that right now.
“So what’s been going on at the Rez lately?” I asked trying to make conversation.
“Nothing much. I was able to convince my dad to come to the store here so I could see you and that’s about the most exciting thing that’s happened in a while.” Jake said taking my hand. The thing about being around Jake is it was like breathing with him.
“We hardly ever get to see each other, and you’ve changed.” I said poking his arm.
“It wouldn’t be like that if we would hang out more. He said jokingly, but there was truth in his words. I nodded my head in agreement.
“So how have you been since Edward and his family left?” He asked and I flinched. I hadn’t said his name since that night.
“Oh sorry. I wont talk about it.” He said and acted like he was zipping his lips and handing me the key. Trying to lighten the mood. It worked I laughed. Then of course like always I tripped over something probably my own feet and was flying towards the ground head first when suddenly I wasn’t falling anymore. Jake had somehow grabbed me and picked me up so that now he was holding me.
“Still clumsy I see.”
“Of Course.” I laughed. Then we could hear a truck pulling up in the drive way so Jake put me down and we took off for the house. When we got there Billy and Harry were walking to the front door well Harry was pushing Billy.
“Come On.” I told Jake. So we helped Billy and Harry get in the house to see Charlie had two pizza’s on the counter. He had this planned I realized.
I woke the next morning the same as usual trying not to remember the same nightmare I have every night. But still I couldn’t help but remember a little. Me running in the forest in search of something or well someone.(him)
I got dressed in just some jeans and a blue t-shirt cause if I went outside I would just have a jacket on anyway.
“Bella.” Charlie called cause it was Sunday so he would either be home with me or fishing again.
“Yeah Dad?” I asked slowly.
“Bella that’s it. Yesterday when you were out with Jake your Mom called and Phil got signed in South America so that’s where they are moving. I told her I want you to go with her.”
What!? If I moved I could never possibly see him again.
“W-WHAT!? No! I wont go!”
“Bella I love you and all, but I think you should go stay with your mother. At least for a little while if things get better you can come back here. If something I happened she could help you more than I can Bella.”
“But Dad no! I wont go!”
“Yes you will! Now go pack your things before I call your mom to come down here pack and pack it for you!” As Charlie was saying those words it really dawned on me. I was moving. I would run away but I had no where else to go he left so I guess I will to. -

Sorry I havent post I've had cheerleading camp and I had typed a bunch to post and I guess I forgot to save it in Microsoft word... Sorry I will try to have more tomorrow!!!!!!!!

Charlie handed me the phone and I ran upstairs to my room. I knew myself well enough to no I wouldn’t really leave Charlie or my mom. So I just looked at the phone and dialed her number. I rang two times and she answered.
“Hello,” she answered.
“Hey Mom. It’s Bella Dad just told me about South America and I’m going to move with you and Phil down there.”
“Oh Bella! I’m so happy well now lets see it’s Sunday right so we should be at the airport in Port A ngels on Wednesday That should also give you enough time to pack the rest of your clothes.” she sounded so excited I would go with her and just maybe Alice would see me.
While I spent the rest of the day packing and trying to decided what clothes I would wear Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday so I wouldn’t have them packed and have to take everything back out again. That wouldn’t be too fun.
ALICE POINT OF VIEW
I was sitting on the couch with Jasper when I had a vision of Bella. She was getting on a plane and some lady on a speaker was saying last call to South America. Beside Bella her mother was saying ‘Bella I cant believe were moving to South America’ While Bella looked paler than usual and looked really bad. Then I was back on the couch with Jasper looking at me with a worried expression. He must feel my mood cause it went from calm to probably freaking out by now.
“What’s wrong Alice?” Jasper asked me and by now everyone had came in except for Edward he was planned to arrive any minute. It had been a month since we last seen him.
“Bella is moving with Renee to South America! And I wasn’t looking for her it just came to me!”
“What does it matter to us it just means she is farther away from us like she should be.” Rose said and everybody just stared at her. Then it dawned in me and I was jumping up and down.
“Alice?!” They didn’t understand.
“Hello! Edward has been in South America! That’s where he has been going when he leaves!!” I explained. Then Edward walked in the door and just walked upstairs to his room not even paying attention to what we were talking about. -
