Summary: When Carlisle and Esme get Alistair, they find out that he has been hiding someone very important to him from everyone: a girlfriend who is human with an amazing gift.

Chapter One: Arrival Of Old Friends (Lux's POV)

"Alistair!" I shouted unhappily as I watched him flash around the hotel room packing everything that we owned without a word. He turned stopping only to wrap me in his arms with a sigh, I wrapped my arms around his neck making him look down at me with nervous red eyes. "What is going on? Why are we leaving?"

"Someone is coming." He answered burying his head in my neck. Most would be afraid of a vampire putting their mouth near their neck but I wasn't, Alistair had more self-control then he let others know he did. "I can't let anyone get you, they would kill you if you refused."

I sighed knowing that was coming, Alistair had told me all about the volturi when I told him of my gifts. Suddenly, he went stiff in my arms making me look worried at him. His eyes flashed to the balcony then to the front door, the only two exits, before pushing me behind him.

I clung to Alistair's back when both doors opened, I eyed the man and woman who came in. They didn't look to be a threat but I knew they were both vampires by their golden eyes. I could tell that Alistair knew the blonde man but didn't attack so I assumed that they were safe. One of Alistair's hands came back to pull me closer to him when the woman took a step forward. We all looked at each other not saying a word until I finally had enough.

"Hello." I said coming up to stand next to Alistair who stiffened when I was in the open. The woman smiled and I could tell she would make a good mother, just in the way she acted. "I'm Lux."

"I'm Esme and this is my mate, Carlisle." She answered still smiling as she looked over to the blonde man, love shining in her eyes, before looking over at my boyfriend with a helpless look. "We need your help, Alistair."

Sounds interesting! This could definitely explain some of Alistair's actions!

I am cerious as to what Alistair's girlfrend/mate is & what her power is? Why is it so special that he is trying to hide her?

Chapter Two: Agreement (Lux's POV)

Lux sat on the edge of the bed watching Carlisle and Alistair talk, unable to make out what they were saying. Esme sat next to her smiling motherly as she showed the blonde woman pictures of Nessie. Lux was unable to keep the image of herself holding a little baby boy in her arms out of her head. She had always wanted children but she was unable to carry babies to full term due to a accident that happened when she was younger.

"I'm sorry, dear friend, but we cannot help." Lux heard making her head shoot up to look at her boyfriend. He had a hand laying on Carlisle's shoulder in symphony and a look of worry in his eyes. Lux's eyes flared with anger as she stood, walking over to the men to stare at Alistair. "Lux." He whispered in warning but she payed no attention.

"Excuse me!" Lux shouted, the temperate in the room rising slightly. "What do you mean we're not helping? I can speak for myself and I am very well helping this cause!"

"Lux, listen to me-" Alistair tried to reason but it was no use. She didn't realize the danger she was putting herself in, if the Volturi were to find out about her gift then they would kill her. He sighed knowing that she would go alone if he didn't agree and that could not happen.

"It's a child, Alistair!" She shouted again, the temperature beginning to fall again as tears began to blur her vision. "It's just a child." This time the words were just a whisper as she allowed him to wrap his arms around her waist pulling her to him. Tears were flowing, soacing his shirt but Alistair didn't mind as he looked up at the mates who were staring at the couple and told them the words he feared would bring both their deaths.
