The Twilight Saga

This another fanfiction I wrote about a girl who has a daughter and goes to live with the Cullens. I hope you like it. I worked hard on it and I will add soon. Enjoy! :)

Introduction

My name is Giselle Morgans. I’m twenty-seven years old and I am a vampire. My fifteen year old daughter, Rosaline and I live in Los Angeles, California. But we haven’t always lived here. Ever since my daughter was one year old-ever since I was turned into a vampire- we have been moving from place to place to prevent anyone from becoming suspicious of my secret.

I worked as a RN at St. Catherine’s Hospital in Los Angeles on the nightshift so that no one could see what the sunlight did to my skin. I wore contacts to make my eyes look normal because the last time I checked nobody had gold eyes. So I wore brown contacts to cover them up; even though my original eye color when I was human was blue. I had dark brown hair but when it was shown in sunlight you could see streaks of blonde. My skin is pale white and ice cold; but when I was human I had nice tanned skin.

My daughter was beautiful. She had her father’s sunshine blonde hair and his beautiful smile. She had my sapphire blue eyes and perfect skin. Like every other mother, she was the apple of my eye. She had excellent grades and dozens of friends. She made friends easily whenever we moved to a new place; which was a load off of my back. She didn’t have a boyfriend; although I have permitted her to date. I guess she didn’t find any of the boys at her school attractive. It didn’t matter to me; it was just another load off of my mind.

Her father, Victor Troy, isn’t involved in her life. After I was turned into a vampire I grabbed Rosaline and started driving. He didn’t like it; but I didn’t care. He never bothered trying to find us and I was grateful. I had left him a note telling him that I loved him but I had to leave and that I was taking Rosaline with me. I also wrote that I would take good care of her and I asked him not to follow us or come looking for us. Obviously the note worked or else I would’ve heard from him long ago. We weren’t married, which made the separation easier.

What wasn’t easy was driving in the car with Rosaline. Her scent filled the car and it made it hard for me to control myself. I kept driving from Seattle until I drove into a small town called Forks. That was where I met the Cullens, a coven of vampires that survived on animal blood instead of drinking from humans.

I loved living with them. They taught me how to survive on animal blood like them and they gave me and my daughter a home when we had nowhere else to go. Bella and Edward’s daughter Renesmee was a complete sweetheart. She and Rosaline played together often, and the Cullens didn’t mind having another child around. They loved Rosaline like she was their own.

Sadly after a couple of years we had to move on. They understood, but insisted on keeping in touch. I emailed Alice every week and sent her pictures and told her how Rosaline was doing. She did the same thing for me in return; sent me pictures and updated me on where they were. The most recent email I received from Alice said that they were in England, but were moving back to Forks soon. She said that Bella couldn’t stand being away from her dad and Jacob wanted to come back to see his family and his pack brothers.

I figured it would be time to move on again; it’s been four years since our last move and it wouldn’t be much longer before people grew suspicious. So why not move back to Forks?

So I answered Alice’s last email and made the decision to move back to Forks while I was typing. At the end of the email I asked her to keep it a secret from the rest of the family; I wanted it to be a surprise. I knew Alice would understand.

As soon as I sent the email I went to my daughter’s room. I could hear that she was listening to her music so I knocked first. She turned her music off and took the ear buds out of her ears before she yelled, “Come in.” I would’ve heard her even if she whispered it. But she didn’t know that; she thought I was a normal human. I never told her that I was a vampire. I wanted her to believe that I was normal and human.

I opened the door and I found her sitting on her bed. The walls of her bedroom were plastered with posters of pop stars and rock bands like Justin Beiber and Fall Out Boy; normal for a teenage girl.

“Hey, Mom. What’s up” she asked.

I walked over and sat on her bed. I gave her a kiss on the forehead; she never found that embarrassing, even in front of her friends. “Hi, sweetheart. I have some news,” I told her.

“Let me guess, we’re moving?” she asked. I nodded and she sighed. “Well, I guess we were going to sooner or later. So where are we moving to?”

“A little town in Washington called Forks. You’ll like it there, sweetie. There isn’t a lot of sun, but it’s a nice town.”

She sighed again. “I just wish we could stay in one place for more than just a few years. But it’s okay. When are moving?”

“In two days. That will give me enough time to pack our stuff and get you settled into Forks High School. Why don’t you get some sleep and tomorrow we’ll start packing your things, okay?” She nodded and I kissed her forehead again. “Goodnight, Rosaline.”

“Goodnight, Mom.” She got underneath her covers and I shut off the light on my way out. As I closed the door behind me I heaved a sigh. It was never easy for me to tell her that we were moving again, but I had to do it.

The next morning we had packed up all of Rosaline’s posters and clothes and her other knick knacks like books and CDs. She asked me why we were leaving the furniture behind and I told her that we didn’t need it where we were going; that there would be furniture already where we were moving to. She didn’t think it made any sense, but she didn’t argue. I already packed the dishes and silverware while she slept and all of my own belongings. She was settled in at Forks High School and planned on going a few days after we arrived and moved in, so the next day we were ready to leave.

We left early the next day to avoid revealing my skin in the sunlight. I tinted the windows for more protection. A couple of hours into the trip she fell asleep. A few times I had to stop because she needed to go to the bathroom and get something to eat. We had left L.A. at five-thirty and we didn’t cross the California-Oregon state line until about two; then we reached the Oregon-Washington state line by four. Rosalie was asleep again when we finally arrived in Forks.

Ch. 45: Rosaline’s P.O.V.
The ride to school was quiet which was unnerving and awkward for me; awkward because neither of us spoke; unnerving because I was waiting for him to say something about his uncharacteristic behavior earlier at the house. To my disappointment he didn’t say a word.

We got to school a little later than usual, but still fairly early. We didn’t waste any time going to my locker but even on the trip there he still didn’t speak. As I was dialing in the combination to my locker Lance leaned over and whispered in my ear, “Here she comes. She looks happy about something.” I knew what he meant by “she”. Renesmee always stopped by my locker in the morning, to tell me whether Alice saw something or not either the night before after we’ve seen each other at Emily’s. Usually there’s nothing but I always try to stay optimistic.

As I watched her coming our way she had a smile stretched across her pale lips that I’ve only seen on Alice’s face when she gets a new outfit. So whatever it was it was good news.

When she reached us she squealed with uncontainable excitement. “You’ll never guess what happened,” she said.

“You eloped with a famous celebrity and left Jacob at home crying his eyes out? Or worse made him the best man?” I asked sarcastically.

She rolled her eyes. “I said you’d never be able to guess,” she complained. “Anyway, no that’s not what happened. How can you think so little of me, Rosaline? I would never do that to Jacob.”

“Just tell me whatever news you have before I die of boredom.”

“Aunt Alice saw them. They’re coming in a week. It’s over, Rose. It’s over!” She tightly embraced me, giggling with euphoria from the good news. I, myself, was silent.

It was over. In a week’s time it’ll be all over. I’ll be living with the Cullens in their lavish house and riding in their expensive sport cars by next week. There were no words to describe the joy I felt. I could’ve done back flips and cartwheels down the hall, but I settle for a tight hug with Renesmee.

When she releases me I go to turn to Lance to celebrate with him but I find that he’s nowhere to be seen. “Where’s Lance?” I asked. I had my back turned, so the only one of us who has any idea where he went is Renesmee.

She shrugged her shoulders. “He said he had to go to his locker for something,” she answered. “Must’ve been something important because he was in a real hurry. Just barely got the words out of his mouth before he left.” She observed how my hair was styled and said, “This is nice, Rose. Your hair looks good in a braid. Did your mom do this?”

I shook my head. “No, Lance did.”

“Lance? Wow. Did he study somewhere?”

I nodded. “He studied a few times since he’s been Turned. So he says, anyway.” I sighed and leaned up against the wall of lockers.

Renesmee eyed me. “Is there something wrong? And don’t lie to me, Rose. I know you too well.”

Obviously. Other than Embry, Renesmee was the other half of me. So I guess that made her a third of me? She’s like Edward in some ways, reading body language and facial expressions like he can read your thoughts like an open book. Well, except Bella’s thoughts. Hers are locked up tight because of her ability. Lucky.

I sighed again. “Lance has been acting… strange recently. He’s been skipping meals and I think his behavior has something to do with that.”

“What’s his behavior like? Has he been looking at you funny? Like he wants you for dinner?”

I shook my head. “Not really. He’s just been staring at me a lot, with a calculating expression. Like he’s not sure what he wants to do next. And his moods are more unpredictable than normal teenagers are. He hasn’t been himself and I’m getting scared.”

“Well first off, well fed or under fed, a vampire’s moods are unstable. They’re easily triggered if you say or do the wrong thing. And about the staring, I have two guesses: One, either he wants to eat you.”

“Unlikely.”

“Or two, he wants you.” She strained the word “wants” to put special emphasis on it, sending me an obvious message. At that I had to look at her. I felt that my eyes were wider and my cheeks and neck were warmer than usual.

“Renesmee,” I said, my voice getting shriller as I spoke, embarrassed. “You think that…? But Lance is just…”

“A friend,” she finished for me. “You always say that. But don’t speak for the both of you when only you feel that way about him. I told you once and I’m going to tell you again: You have other options besides Embry. You might love Embry but you could feel something for Lance too.” The bell rang for first period and in a way, I felt relieved. I didn’t want to discuss this any further.

“Come on. Let’s get this over with.” She walked me to my first period class. Not mentioning a word about the vampire that could possibly be in love with me.

Renesmee makes sense here.  It's what I suspected too.  What will Rosaline do?

You'll have to keep reading to find out :)

but its soooooooooooo interesting tear....tear...........sob............sob

Ch. 46: Embry
So it was finally over. In a week Rose and her mom will be living under the Cullens’ roof and we can return to our old lives –with miner interruptions from that leech, Lance. No doubt the Cullens will throw a welcome back party for the occasion.

So is there anything we need to do? I asked, focusing on the matter at hand for the moment until it was clear for me to start celebrating on my own. Do we need to be there when they show up?

Seth shook his head. No, he thought. Not necessarily. Jacob thought we could hang on the fringes of the trees while he, the Cullens, and Nessie were inside with the Italians. For extra security, you know.

Quil and I nodded. We all knew it was better to be safe than sorry in this sort of thing. Did he want to call in Sam’s pack too? I asked.

No, Seth answered. I think when worse comes to worst the Cullens will back us up if we need an extra hand.

I think we should ask Sam for back up, Quil jumped in. All of them would love to get a piece of the action.

It wouldn’t make much sense to bring in both packs, Seth objected. There’s only four coming and there’s five of us plus the Cullens. That’s more than enough.

Hey Seth, you okay? I asked. His attitude gave me the impression that a grizzly bear would be cuddlier than Seth. Not that an abnormally large wolf is exactly the best substitute for a stuffed animal.

Yeah, he answered. I’m fine. Just haven’t gotten a lot of sleep and it’s been taking a toll on me.

Alright kid, get some sleep, I ordered. Quil and I can handle patrols without you.

Thanks, Seth said with a yawn. He trotted over to a nearby tree and settled himself on a bed of pine needles. He was out within minutes.

I can’t believe you did that, Quil said glaring at me.

Oh shut up and start running, I ordered and nudged him with my nose. You’ll be doing the work of two wolves and I suggest that if you want to get off early for lunch you’d better get going.

Embry taking the lead! He will certainly be relieved when Rosaline comes back to live with the Cullens. I hope Lance doesn't decide to do something funny to keep her with him.
