Chapter 8

I was sleeping when someone jerked me awake. I was really confused. I looked at them and it was embry.

“What’s going on?”

His eyes looked frantic.

“Come on we have to go right now.” I go up fast. And looked around we were still in my room but hunter was knocked out on the floor. By this time I was really confused.

“Embry what the hell is going on?!” I asked freaking out.

“I know what he did to you. Why didn’t you tell me?” I was shocked. Did he really know?

“Wait a second” I said stopping dead in the middle of the hallway

“What do you mean wait we need to get you home so you can be safe.”

“How do you know all this stuff? Are you watching me?” I asked outraged “answer me embry!” I yelled at him.

But at that moment I heard hunter moving in the bedroom. Embry’s eyes looked terrified. He turned to me and half whispered half yelled.

“We have to go now violet. Im serious if we leave I’ll explain everything.”

I debated this for a second. But I guess he figure out my decision and started running again. We ran out the hallway to the front door. All the way to embry’s car. I could hear hunter in the back yelling at us. Telling me not to even try coming back.

We drove for awhile. Just driving around town. I keep looking at embry trying to get his attention. But he was purposely ignoring me staring straight ahead. I was really getting tired of this.

“So are you going to tell me what going on or not?”

“Once we get to the house” and he thought that was the end of it.

“Well since we’ve been going around in circles for 30 minutes. So either your gonna tell me now. Or take us to the house NOW!”

“What the hell do you want me to tell you” he yelled at me.

“I want you to tell me the truth! I want to know why you know all this stuff about me, that you are always there to be my night and shinning armor but won’t tell me anything! That is what want you to tell me.” He didn’t say anything after that. We just turned around and drove to his house.

Once we got to his house we got out of the car and walked in. I walked straight to the couch and waited for him to come and sit down with me. He finally came and sat next me.

“Explain.” I said to him.

“Please just let me explain all the way until the end. Don’t leave, don’t think, don’t judge, just listen.” I nodded

“I’m a werewolf. I know how crazy that sounds so just listen. It’s in my family’s history. One of the thing that happens because of what I am means that I can imprint. This means that I would find my true soul mate and I wouldn’t be able to leave her. I would do anything for her no matter what”

Trying to process thing that he said in my mind I understood. I was his soul mate his imprint thing. This is why he always knew what was going on because he couldn’t stand to see me get hurt. He loved me even when I was in a terrible relationship with hunter. Even though I pushed him away time and time again. He was there for me. He was always there and always will be.

I looked at hunter truly understanding him. Looking in his eyes seeing desperation, love, him pleading for me to believe. For me to not leave him.

“I believe you embry. I love you so much” and then I leaned over and I kissed him.

It was such a powerful kiss that all you could feel during it was love. You could tell how much he loved and I loved him. This is what I have always wanted. Embry pulled back for just a second.

“I love you too” then started kissing me again. I’ve never be happier.

Chapter 9

Embry’s point of view

I watched violet sleep in my lap. Looking at the wonderful women I love. Still stunned that she accepted all that I told her. I watched her for a little while till there was a knock at my door. I sat violet’s head a little bit and laid it back down on the couch.

I was down the hallway to the front door. It was sam.

“Hey man what’s up?”

“It’s hunter. I’ve been watching him like you asked and I say him freaking out taking more and more drinks. I could tell he’s going to do something drastic. So I thought you should go over there and talk to him.” I was stunned

“What?! You want me to talk to him. I punched him out cold and took his fiancé. What do you want me to say ‘sorry dude bout talking your girl but can you skip town.’” Sam looked annoyed

“No I don’t want you to say that but I do think you should talk to him. So he doesn’t try to come and attack your girlfriend. Ok?” I rolled my eyes and rubbed my forehead irritated with the situation.

“Fine. I’ll see what I can do.” Sam looked relieved

“Cool ok. I’ll talk to you later.” And with that sam turned around and walked out the door. And disappeared into the forest.

I shut the door and went walked upstairs to my room. Think about how the hell I’m suppose to talk to my girlfriends ex-fiancé. This was going to be more difficult then ever. And this guys gonna is probably gonna be drunk.

I went back down stairs and went into the living room finding a sticky note writing one for violet. ‘I had to go be back later. Don’t freak out and leave. I love you’ I signed my name and left the note on her forehead, I thought it would be funny.

So with that I walked the back door and ran into the forest. I kept running until I arrived at violet’s house. I walked out of the forest then walked up to the door. I stood there composing myself. Then knocked on the door. It took him a couple minutes to open the door. When he saw that it was me it looked a little scared probably scared that im going to punch him again.

“hi can I come in” he hesitated for a second. Then nodded and let me in.

Violet’s point of view

I woke up late in the afternoon. I sat up trying to see I found a sticky note on my forehead.

Embry was telling me that he left for a little while. I walked around the house loving that I basically live with embry, that I’m with him all the time, it’s amazing how much I love him.

I went into the kitchen to make myself something to eat. Then I went back into the living room and turned on the TV and started watching my favorite show grey’s anatomy. I fell asleep in the middle of it. Later, I woke up by the slamming of the door. I jolted awake to find embry coming in shaking moving back and forth.

I pulled my knees to my chest. I had never seen him like this it reminded me of how hunter was when he came home from the bar really mad. I sat there for a while embry didn’t notice that I was there even was awake. He stormed into the living and finally noticed that I was there. His face changed from anger to scared to worried. I didn’t know what the hell was going on. That seems to happen a lot not knowing what going on.

“Oh hey sweetie what’s going on?” he asked and sat next to me

“Hey” I said sweetly “where’d you go?” he hesitated

‘I went to Sam’s house for a while” he looked unsure of what he was saying.

“Oh well that nice” I said. After that we sat in silence there in uncomfortable and stared at the TV. I could tell that there was something wrong with him.

“Is there something wrong?”

“No not at all” and then sat in awkward silence again. I could take it.

“Well I think I’m going to hang out with Emily. Do you want to come?” I asked. I answered really quickly.

“No I don’t I think im just going to stay here. I see you later.” And with that he got up and kissed me on the head. Then went upstairs.

His reaction really bothered me. I didn’t know what was wrong with him. I deiced that I was just going to ignore it and go to Emily’s.

I went outside and deiced that I was going to walk. So started to walk. By the time I go to Emily and sams house it was almost dark outside. When I got inside Emily looked at me like she was scared to tell me something.
