One Life to Live (Character Summaries: Tamar/Jackstoryline)

This was my favorite soap, so I'm just playing around with some storyline ideas. Zane/Tamar are my characters. ALL others belong toOLTL=) ****

Tamar Darling, a ballerina superstar, comes to Llanview. She is Layla and Evangeline's cousin. She came to Llanview to attend Llanview University where she meets teacher Robert "Bobby" Ford, a guy known for being a player and shady with relationships. Zane Rappaport is in her bio- science class. Her and Zane start dating, and she pushes Bobby off to the side, putting an end to their friends-with-benefits relationship.

But, as she's about to dump him, he proposes. Everyone in town tries to persuade her not to marry Ford. Tamar and Bobby decide to just be friends and Zane tries to sabotauge their friendship. Zane becomes obsessive, borderline abusive towards Tamar which causes her to dump him. Hearing of their break up, Bobby tries to get back the friends-with-benefits relationship he had with Tamar, but she's not ready to be with anyone again.

Bobby and Tamar fade as Tamar is swamped with her writing project which has a deadline coming up. Jack Cramer-Manning who also attends Llanview U, meets Tamar in Jefferson Hall working on her project. He talks to her and she acts bashful. He patiently gets to know her and asks her out, but she keeps turning him down, still not ready for a relationship. Jack gets Tamar a dog for Christmas because he saw that she wanted one from looking at her online searches. She names her Gidget. This causes her to warm up to him and they start hanging out together regularly. She lets him wine and dine her.

Layla gets Tamar to step in, for an unavailable model, to do a photoshoot with her. Bobby uses Ryder (his son) to spend time with Tamar. Ashly Lord who was dating James Ford breaks up with him to win back Jack Cramer after seeing that he is interested in Tamar Darling.

Tamar and Bobby have a one-night-stand, which Ashly finds out about by snooping around Ford's apartment and uses this to try to convince Jack that Tamar is not the right girl for him. Tamar stays away from Jack and Ashly for a while, realizing that Ashly is a hostile girl. Jack runs into Tamar as she's walking her dog. He asks her out and she says yes. Jack and Tamar go out on their first official date; moonlit dinner on the roof. By their fourth date, they discuss making love. Jack takes Tamar to his family's summerhouse in Llantano where he romances her and they make love for the first time.

Jack tells his family and friends that he is in love. Tamar finds it hard to say 'I love you' to Jack, even though she feels the same way he does. Tamar and Jack spend New Years Eve alone, making love. Jack gets Tamar a subscription to the Country Club. When she vomits in their room, she thinks she might be pregnant. Jack overhears Ashly's plan to break them up at the country club.

Tamar goes shopping with Rachel Ganon and Jamie Vega. They make tween Jamie walk ahead of them, so that they can discuss grown up talk. Jack doesn't like that Ford still calls Tamar and hangs out where ever she is. Jack and Tamar have their first fight which is about her spending time with Ford and making room for him whenever he comes around. Jack is also upset about the pregnancy because he heard it from Rachel and not Tamar. Tamar lets him know that it was a false alarm and she was going to tell him. They resolve it and she stops having sex with him because of the pregnancy scare. Tamar sneaks out of their room and goes to the bar to think and bumps into Ford at the snack bar.

Jack comes and breaks up their conversation. Layla advises her cousin to spend more time with her friends and less time with town sleaze Bobby and the son of Todd Manning. Tamar takes her cousin's advice. Jack shows up at Layla's apartment one night and Tamar lets him in and they secretly spend the night together. Jack persuades Tamar to have sex with him again. In the morning, he buys an engagement ring.

Dorian Lord suggests to Tamar to write her biography as her writing project. Tamar goes to work researching Dorian's past and Dorian grows to regret the idea as resurfacing, unflattering deeds put her in a bad light. Jack proposes to Tamar and she says yes. Blair Cramer (Jack's mom) thinks they are too young to be engaged, but accepts Jack's decision. Zane Rappaport returns from Oxford and the first person he visits is Tamar. He wants her back but she reveals to him that she is engaged to his best friend, Jack Cramer-Manning. Zane feels betrayed, even though he and her are broken up.

Tamar gets cold feet about marrying Jack. She daydreams where she gives back the engagement ring. She doesn't think she's ready. She has this conversation with Jack and they move the wedding up. Tamar discover's she's pregnant at Todd Manning's house where Zane kidnaps her. Llanview police spend 7 months searching for Tamar. They finally get a good tip which came from Lindsey Rappaport (Zane's mother). John McBain, Bo Buchanan, and Jack and others arrive at a warehouse where Tamar is being held. There is a shootout and Zane is forced to release Tamar who comes out of the warehouse with Zane holding a gun to her pregnant belly, which everyone is shocked to see. McBain drastically shoots the gun out of Zane's hand and Tamar falls and hits her head. She is rushed to the hospital where she gives birth to a premature baby boy she later names Greer. Todd Manning pays for around-the-clock care for Tamar and the baby. Zane is forced to check into St. Anne Sanitarium. Later, he is arrested for kidnapping, trespassing on Manning's property, and attempted murder. Lindsey Rappaport keeps Zane out of jail and relocates him out of town. 3 months later, Baby Greer is released from intensive care unit and sent home with Tamar.

Layla and Christian who are engaged (again) take care of Greer while Tamar recieves trauma therapy from Marty Saybrooke. Zane returns to Llanview as Tamar sneaks out of the clinic to see her baby. She runs into Zane who tries to kidnap her again after she tells him that she doesn't love him. McBain happens to be walking by and he shoots Zane on sight. Marty comes out looking for Tamar and she heard the gunshot. Lindsey Rappaport attempts to get Zane released from the hospital where he is being treated for gunshot wound to the shoulder. But, Bo Buchanan refuses to let her take him saying that he needs to face the consequences of his actions, which he never does, just like his mother. An infuriated Lindsey leaves town and Zane is sent to prison after his hospital stay.

Victoria Lord Buchanan(She's married to Clint again) babysits Greer while Jack and Tamar pick up dating again. She often babysits him while they go on dates.

Greer needs an operation which Todd Manning pays for. He doesn't survive the operation and dies on the operating table. Tamar and Jack's families are devastated and heart broken. After Greer's funeral, Tamar leaves town abruptly. Jack feels like his life has been turned upside down. Ashly, who pines after Jack, tries to persuade him to move on with her, but he isn't interested. Bobby finds Tamar and brings her back to town. They go to his apartment and end up having sex. When Tamar sees Jack the next day, she tells him that she slept with Bobby. Jack accuses Bobby of preying on Tamar's emotions. Tamar discovers that she is pregnant with Bobby's baby.

Tamar is pregnant with Ford's baby and engaged to Jack Cramer-Manning. Jack breaks off their engagement because she's pregnant by Bobby Ford. Tamar is heartbroken and she avoids Jack and Bobby. She talks about getting an abortion to Destiny Evans-Buchanon and Rachel Ganon. Rachel doesn't like Ford, but advises her against the abortion. But, Tamar goes through with the abortion to get Jack back. She goes to Jack to prove how much she loves him, but he can't stomach that she had an abortion and kicks her out. Tamar falls alseep at the Carriage House where Blair finds her and they talk about Baby Greer and cry.

Tamar cries in McBain's arms over her break up with Jack. He comforts her and they end up having sex. When she wakes up in McBain's bed, she tries to sneak out, but he wakes up. They both agree that last night was a mistake and Tamar makes John and Liam (his son) breakfast before planning to leave town a second time. Tamar tells Bobby that she can't be with him and that she's in love with Jack.

Jack, out of nowhere, sleeps with Ashly Lord, and then tells her that they can't have a relationship because he's not over Tamar. Tamar is about to get on a plane and Jack shows up at the airport with the engagement ring he took from her. He slips it back onto her finger with a second proposal of marriage.

Layla, Starr, and Rachel are Tamar's bridesmaids at the December wedding. Todd Manning is his son's best man. Layla's father gives Tamar away. Tamar and Jack are married a day before Christmas and consemate their marriage on Christmas Eve. Jack takes a job at The Sun (his father's paper), so he can buy a house for him and Tamar... and their dog.
