Ay ya yai. Edward and Jacob fight over Belle(Bella), and the Volturi are angry that Belle isn't a vampire, yet. Who will change her, or will she be spared a second time from the wrath of the Volturi? (i had a British accent while doing this. so trippy. lolz.)
Chapter 1
Looking out the window of Charlie’s shabby home, I realized I had made a mistake by leaving my mother Rene and coming here to Forks, Washington, the most dengiest, wettest town in America. And the people are so boring and tragic. There was one good thing out of this trip, or so I use to think.
His name was Edward Cullen, and he was so freaking hot. I had to make him mine, but we were just two dumb blokes in love. I gave my virginity to him and on the first sexual encounter, I became knocked up with his child. I heard Charlie behind me, sighing. He was disappointed in me because I got pregnant, and this pregnancy also gave him another reason to bag on my boyfriend, Edward freaking Cullen.
Edward is not allowed in the house anymore. I hate Charlie for treating him like some stray dog. I just wanted to run away and be with Edward forever and we could raise our baby together. But, I didn’t really want to be pregnant, just thought I’d make the best of it.
Edward Cullen pulled up into the driveway in a new car. He drove a new car every other day. He was ridiculously rich, and spoiled by his parents. I was glad to be knocked up by someone so well –off. I shrugged on my jacket and went to the door.
“Where the hell do you think you’re going?” Charlie snorted.
“Out,” I said, uncaringly.
“Oh no. You’re not going anywhere with Edward Cullen, Belle Dwyer.”
“Says who?”
“Says your father.”
“Whatever, Dad. You were always a loser. That’s why Rene left you.”
Charlie paused, and his cheeks flushed an embarrassing crimson red. I smirked, realizing I had struck a sensitive nerve in Charlie’s backboneless body. I proceeded to leave.
“Belle, you get back here!”
I ignored him and went out to my boyfriend’s car. I got in the passenger seat.
“Hey, Eddie,” I said, cheerfully. “You got my ticket?”
“Of course, honey bun,” He grinned.
We were going to the movies on a date. Edward never took me out on dates before. But ever since he knocked me up, he’s been a complete prince charming, doing everything for me. He would chew my food for me, if I allowed him. And sometimes, I did allow him, just for my own amusement.
He pulled up at the theater and we got out of the car. To my dismay, I saw Leah Clearwater and Jacob Black in line to see a movie. I looked at the movie poster and it looked like they were seeing a romance flick. That’s pretty funny, considering what Jacob told me just a few nights, ago. But, I’ll get into that, later.
Edward took my arm and led me into the showing room. I huffed. We were seeing the exact same movie as Jacob and Leah? I wasn’t happy about this, and neither was Leah. We couldn’t stand each other, let alone be in a movie theater together.
“Hi, Leah. Hi, Jacob,” Edward said, politely.
“Hi,” Leah said.
“Hi,” Jacob said.
We sat down. Edward was on my end and I was between him and Jacob. Jacob squirmed in his seat, uncomfortably. He could never be still around me. Never. I always stirred something up inside of him, something from which he couldn’t escape. I felt sorry for him, sometimes.
Leah nudged Jacob and leaned her head on his shoulder. I gagged.
“You okay?” Edward asked.
“Yeah, fine,” I said, toneless.
Then, Leah put her hand over his, over the armrest, obviously trying to defer his attention away from me. It only made Jacob even more uncomfortable, more uneasy. Edward watched the screen, his face stiff, his whole body stiff. He was just a stiffy, tonight.
I had to go to the bathroom. I cleared my throat.
“Edward, could you let me out. I have to go pee,” I said.
“Sure.”
He got up and let me out. I went to the lady’s room. When I came out, someone grabbed me and whirled me around. I gasped as the air left my body. I was against Jacob’s chest. I tried to catch my breath.
“What is wrong with ya?” I snapped.
“How can you stand it?” he growled.
“Stand what?”
“You know how I feel about you, and yet we continue to prance around and play these games.”
He sounded angry.
“What games, Jake?” I lowered my voice. “You know I can’t be with you. I love Edward.”
“Look at you,” he looked me up and down, with angry eyes. “You don’t love him. You’d be with me, if he hadn’t gotten you knocked up.”
My mouth was a gaping hole. “That’s not true!” I defended myself. Jacob pulled me against the wall. He traced the borders of my jaw with his finger.
“Do you remember what I told you, a few nights ago?” he asked, softly.
“Yes,” I breathed, and blushed. “But, nothing can become of it. I can’t be…”
His hot lips pressed gently against mine, only to shut me up. I felt a warmness crawl up my spine. I grabbed Jacob and pulled him into the lady’s room. It was empty of people, besides us two. Jacob grabbed my waist, pulled me close, and backed me up into a stall. He kissed me, vigorously.
“I can’t. I am three months pregnant,” I moaned. He tore at my clothes, ignoring my voice. I clawed at his shirt like a pissed cat. I grabbed his face and took in his tongue. He moaned. We heard footsteps getting closer.
“Bella.”
My eyes bucked wide open upon hearing my name. It was Leah. I shoved Jacob down on the toilet seat.
“Yes?” I asked, innocently, and a bit shaken.
“Will you be much longer? Edward sent me in here to check on you,” she said, in a dull voice, as if she couldn’t care less about me.
“Just give me a few more minutes. I’ll be out soon.” I said. She sighed, and left.
“See what you’ve done?” I accused, fixing my shirt and jacket. Jacob stood up, and towered over me. “We should get back to the movie.”
“You’re making a mistake,” he said.
“My only mistake was you,” I retorted.
“You don’t mean that. That’s the part of you, that he’s got brainwashed, talking.”
I raised my eyebrow, and said, seriously, “Really, Jake? Really? Brainwashed?”
His hand flew out and pulled my face close, for one final kiss. I let him have his kiss, for it will be his last from me.
We returned to the movie showing. Edward and Leah observed us with suspicious eyes. None of us said anything. Jacob and I returned to our seats, quietly.
After the movie, Edward took me home. Charlie had left for work, so I let Edward come into the house. We went upstairs to my room and I turned on the tv. I lay across my bed, watching tv. Edward was standing in the corner, his shoulder to me, coldly, glaring at me from the corner of his amber eye. I looked at him, curiously.
“What?” I said. He shrugged his shoulders. “Am I bugging you?”
“No, Belle, you’re not bugging me. You’re not bugging me at all,” he leaned his back into the corner and tilted up his chin, and looked at me.
“Well something’s bugging you,” I murmured, under my breath.
“You know what? Something is bugging me,” he confessed.
“I knew it,” I said, as if I didn’t give two craps.
“Did you run into Jacob while you were going to the lady’s bathroom?” he asked.
“Why is that your business? And why does it matter?” I said. I rolled my eyes. “Stop being so damn insecure, Edward. I’m pregnant with your freaking life- ruiner of a child. Give me some damn credit.”
“You don’t deserve any credit, you damn harlot!” he snapped. I froze on the bed. I looked at him, alarmed. He was breathing heavily, and unmoving. I slowly came off the bed, and walked towards the door to get away. He let me get as far as out into the hallway before he came behind me and yanked me back by my hair. My feet were dragging on the floor as he pulled me back into my bedroom.
I felt his hands in my hair, as I tried to pry them out of my head. His nails were digging into my scalp.
“Ow, Edward,” I cried. “Let go of me, you bloke. You’ll hurt the baby.”
“Wouldn’t want to do that,” he mocked. “Hell, the baby’s probably not even mine, the way you get around.”
I was pissed. I wrestled away from him and looked in his face. “Probably not even yours?” I asked, shocked. “Are you kidding me? You were my first time, my only time.” Tears formed behind my eyes. “Jerk.”
I went back in the hall. I needed some comfort food to calm me down. I walked down two steps when Edward grabbed my arm.
“Let go” I yelled.
“I know that dog imprinted on you,” he said, scornfully.
“That’s not his fault, and this is not his baby!”
“I can’t trust anything you say!”
He kept tugging me and I kept pulling away. “Let go,” I cried. He did let go, finally, but clumsy me, I lost my balance, and tumbled all the way down to the bottom of the staircase. I landed on my back. I looked up at Edward, who was standing at the top. His face melted with remorse.
I sat up, and it hurt my back and my butt, and my stomach. I smelled something rusty, and saw a red liquid spreading out on the hardwood. I paused as it was spreading away from me. I realized it was blood and it was coming out of me. I screamed.
“Edward!” I shouted. He rushed down the stairs, frazzled and confused.
“Oh my god,” he croaked.
“Edward, what’s happening?” I begged. He didn’t answer. He scooped me up, took me outside, and shoved me into his car. He went back into the house, grabbed my house key, locked up and came back to the car. Then, he sped us to the hospital. I had bled all over the seat and the floor of the car, before I passed out from the rustic scent of my own blood.
When I awoke, I was on a hospital bed with blaring white lights over my head. Dr. Carlise Cullen, Edward’s dad, was sitting in a chair pulled up to my bedside.
He had a clipboard in his hand. His face was all business, but his eyes were sad. I looked down at myself and there was no blood. I had been cleaned up. I sighed with relief.
“I had this bad dream that Edward pushed me down the stairs and we lost the baby,” I blurted quickly. Edward stiffened as Carlisle’s dark amber eyes bore into him, riled.
Carlisle turned back to me. “Belle, you did lose the baby,” he said.
I stared at him, in total disbelief. “What? No!”
“It’s true,” Carlisle said, his voice repentant. I looked over at Edward and took in his guilty face, and slouchy posture.
“You see what you did?” I yelled at him.
“It was an accident,” he said, quickly rushing to my bedside, on the opposite of Carlisle.
“You pushed me,” I said, with teary eyes.
He looked at me, with real remorse,” I’m sorry,” he said.
“I’m sorry won’t bring my baby back,” I hissed.
“You never wanted a baby in the first place,” he retorted.
“Oh yeah. You’re right,” I said.
Carlisle got up. I heard Charlie's voice. “Oh no,” I cringed. “You called my dad?” I whined.
“I had to. You’re seventeen,” Carlisle said. Edward’s mouth tightened and his eyes lowered. He knew he would be the first person to be hit by Hurricane Charlie.
Charlie snatched open the curtain, in a sneak attack. Edward got up, quickly. Carlisle got between them.
“Calm down, Charles. It wasn’t his fault,” Carlisle said.
“You would stick up for that spoiled brat you call a son,” Charlie retorted.
“It was an accident,” Edward said, from behind his father’s protection.
“I’m sure the hell it was,” Charlie said, enraged. Two security guards dressed in black uniforms stood on either side of Charlie. He put his hands up and calmed down. “I just want to see my daughter,” Charlie said. The guards backed off, slightly. He walked over to me and looked at me. I started to feel like he cared for me more than Edward, and I couldn’t hold back my tears.
“I lost the baby, Dad,” I cried. I sat up more, and he hugged me.
“That’s okay, Bells. You’re fine. You’re going to be okay,” Charlie said, rubbing my back.
He pointed his finger at Edward. “You. What the hell were doing in my house. You know my rules.”
“Bella let me in, Mr. Swan,” Edward said, his voice even and velvet. Charlie retracted his finger and balled up his fist, tightly, in defeat. He knew hurting Edward would get him nowhere. “You stay away from my daughter,” he seethed. “from now on, your hear me?”
Edward nodded, “Yes sir.”
But, they both knew Edward couldn’t stay away from me and nor I from him. Carlisle knew it was a wasted effort, scolding him. He would have to chain Edward up in the basement to keep him away from me. Our bond, our love was just too strong.
Chapter 2
A month later, I was okay enough to be released from the hospital. Charlie took me home in the cruiser. He made me a bowl of hot apple cinnamon oatmeal and sprinkled it with ginger and blueberries. Comfort food. I ate in bed. Charlie would not leave my side and I sort of felt bad for being so mean to him. But, then I remembered none of this would have happened if he had just liked Edward from the beginning. Edward was my world, my air.
“Dad, I don’t need you falling over me 24/7,” I said. “Don’t you have a life. Oh, right… No.”
“I’d rather be taking care of you. The guys at work don’t mind,” he said.
“How do you know they’re not resenting you for taking so much time off?”
“Because they’re good friends, something that you're lacking...” he said. “There’s nowhere else I’d rather be.”
He was sickening. I just wanted him to leave so that Edward could sneak in through my window.
“Isn’t there a football game on or something? I can watch myself. It’s not hard,” I said.
“Fine,” he caved. “but, if you need anything, just holler.”
“I will, Dad, and at the top of my lungs,” I said, with a smile. He smiled back at me, then, left my room.
“Yes,” I sighed, relieved. I took out my ravaged copy of Wuthering Heights. I took out the book mark and started reading. Just then, I heard a tap on my window. I put the book back down and went to open it, thinking it was Edward.
But, it was Jacob, instead. I huffed.
“Go home, Jacob. I don’t want to be your imprint,” I rolled my eyes.
“I don’t have a choice,” he said, lowly.
“What?” I squeaked. He climbed up the side of the house, and swung into my bedroom, like a monkey.
He approached me, heat coming off his shirtless, russet body. He was intimidating.
“I know what he did to you,” he said, quietly and raspy.
“It was a freak accident,” I said.
“You’re lying. I can always tell when you lie,” he professed.
“Jake, you don’t know me as well as you think you do.”
“I know you well enough.” He pushed me backwards onto my bed, and crawled on top of me.
“Jake, Charlie’s just downstairs in the living room,” my voice rushed out in a panic.
“He won’t bother us,” he said. He smothered my mouth with kisses. My fingernails scratched down the plains of his sculpted chest. I pulled off his belt and tied it around his neck. We switched positions. I slapped him across his face.
“I could kill you, Jake. Oh, I could do it right now!”
“Kill me. I’d die for you, however you want me to, damn it.”
I tightened the belt around his neck, as tight as I could manage, and yanked it. He gasped and struggled to breathe.
“Damn you, Jake. I can’t do it!” I fell off of him, and landed beside him. Jacob took his belt from around his neck, and gasped, profusely, for air. “My life is so messed up that I just want to die,” I cried. I took Jacob’s belt and started to put it around my neck. Jacob snatched it away from me, and looked at me, scrutinizingly. He sat at the foot of the bed and put his belt back on.
“Belle, I love you,” he said. “I would do anything for you. You know that, right?” His voice was light and pleading.
“I know, Jake,” I said, falling into his verbal trap.
“Do you love me?” he asked.
“Yes,” I said.
He looked skeptical. “Do you even know what love is? I mean, after all, you thought you were in love with that walking dead thing.”
“Of course I know what love is. I’m not stupid!” I snapped. He raised his eyebrows. “I’m sorry, Jake.”
“Don’t be sorry. I know you’re not stupid. It’s just that sometimes, you make really odd choices. Really mind- boggling choices.” He looked down at my stomach.
“What are you looking for?” I asked, meekly. “It’s not there anymore, if that’s what you’re wondering.” I folded my arms across my stomach.
“I knew he would do this. I knew he would hurt you,” Jacob said, his body pulsating all over.
“We got into a fight. It was an accident. It was fate. We weren’t ready for a baby, anyway,” I rolled my eyes.
“Fate?” Jacob retorted. “Seriously? Fate took your baby away. You’d rather blame it on the ways of the universe, than to place the blame on that pig, where it belongs.”
Jacob stood and walked briskly to the window.
“No, Jake. Don’t leave me,” I whined. He stopped infront of the window.
“Why shoud I stay?” He asked, as his head turned to the side.
“Because I love you, Jake,” I said, with more confidence than I ever said before. It startled me some. He turned around and came back to me. He grabbed me up into his muscular arms and tossed me onto my bed. He came between my jeans and we kissed, mouths open, hungry for each other, greedy.
Then, the window flew open like magic.
“Oh, Crap,” I moaned. I hopped up and forced Jacob into the closet. As soon as I turned back around, Edward Cullen was standing in the middle of my bedroom. He sniffed the air, and then, he growled, teeth clenched together. He was mad.
“Why does it smell like wet dog in here?” he seethed. He grabbed my arm and sniffed my hair. “It’s you.” He flung me onto the bed, but I rolled and fell onto the floor. Clumsy me.
“Ow,” I bumped my head. I sat up. The rest was a fast, weird, blur. Edward pulled Jacob out of the closet and threw him over my desk.
“I thought I smelled something funny,” Edward said.
“Likewise,” Jacob gritted his teeth.
They stared into each other’s faces, panting, and glaring harshly.
“Oh, just make out, already!” I threw up my hands. The three of us paused at the sound of Charlie’s shoes thumping up the hallway. “Holy Crap. Hide!”
Jacob went back in the closet, and Edward went into my bathroom. I got on my bed and turned on the tv. Charlie came in. He looked at me, peculiarly.
“What is it, Dad?” I asked, making my voice as innocent as possible. Charlie looked around the room.
“I thought I heard voices.”
“Maybe you’re schizophrenic?” I shrugged.
“Har- Har,” he laughed, his face dead- pan.
Urgh! He wouldn’t leave.
“Do you want some more oatmeal?”
“No, Dad. I’m full,” I rolled my eyes really, extra hard. Now, get the hell outta here! Charlie sighed, deeply. He walked to the closet door. My eyes widened, fearful. He knocked on the door of the closet, and then he turned the knob, and out fell Jacob Black, along with some of my clothing.
“What’s he doing in here?” Charlie said, dead- pan face.
I shrugged, innocently.
Jacob stood up straight. “Hi, Charlie.”
“Don’t ‘Hi, Charlie’ me,” Charlie said, his voice monotone, as he shook his head.
“Out,” Charlie ordered. Jacob walked to the window. “The normal person way,” Charlie added. Jacob turned around, and went out my bedroom door.
I held my breath, which was probably a stupid thing to do because Charlie noticed, and became suspicious. He eyed the bathroom. He sure is good at sniffing out boys, tonight.
“Belle,” he scratched his head. “How could you disobey the rules? Twice in one day? Don’t you realize I’m trying to be a good dad, here?”
“I know, Dad,” I cried. “I’m sorry.”
“I had a nice talk with Carlisle,” Charlie said. “He’s agreed that Edward is not allowed to see you, or allowed anywhere near you.”
“You expect me to just run and hide when I see him at school?”
“I expect you to stay away from him. He’s bad news for you, Belle. And I know, deep down, you know it.”
I didn’t respond. I didn’t know what to say besides curse you, Dad!
“My life is over,” I muttered.
“Not completely,” he said. “Hang out with Jake more often. He’s nice.”
“Jacob... You’d rather have me be with the boy you just caught hiding in my closet. Nice.”
“Well, Jacob’s not a baby- killer,” Charlie shot back. My jaw dropped. “Goodnight, Bells.”
Charlie left and closed the door. Edward, smoothly, walked out of the bathroom, with wounded pride, and wounded everything.
"I'm sorry you had to hear that," I said, in my most sympathetic voice. He leaned against the closed bathroom door, dark and brooding.

Permalink Reply by Danette (DMK) on October 6, 2012 at 9:46pm Hi, Strangeling...
Just read your "passions" short story....(sorry, I didn't reply earlier...but, I had the flu.....and still recovering).
Your little story helped...but, I was too weak to formulate a response...
so here I am....the late "one" to join the " Twilight Passion party"... or should I say, " Twilight Love trio"....:)
Your love triangle/fiction was a interesting take...a big departure from the real Twilight characters of Bella, Edward and Jacob.
Well...sorta..you captured elements of their personalities crafted by Meyer and the films and submerged it to reflect your own style or interpretation.
My questions for you are these:
Is this how you really wanted the Twilight story to Unfold? Or just a parody of it all, laced with naughtiness absent from Meyer's original Mormon/sanitary version? Do you think the original needed more "graphic" material...or was it effective as is...in it's subtle, suggested form? And in your "mind"... this is how you would anticipate Edward the vampire to behave? or Jacob the Wolf/shapeshifter? Did Jake purposefully seduce Bella in the bathroom knowing Edward could read his thoughts? Same with post-baby loss/the bedroom visit? Do you really think Bella wouldn't want or resent being Pregnant with Edward's baby? And was your "Baby" all human with no vampire characteristics that would compromise Bella's health?
I found parts of the dialogue very funny....and I could actually hear some of your words spill from Jacobs/Bella's mouths. Edward's image is a tough one to change course....due to his refined, poised and composed manner. Do I think he would be angry with Bella reading Jacob's naughty thoughts/actions....without a doubt! Would Edward ever compromise Bella safety if she really got down and busy with Jacob?(not just a kiss)... Possibly...
Strangeling....it's an Angle of the Twilight saga that wasn't fully explored or provoked. Even though implied with unsolicited and solicited kisses between Bella and Jacob.
I was amused and entertained by your story....
I look forward to reading more and thanks for personally sharing with me....
I really enjoyed reading it!
BTW...I loved the bit when Charlie opened the Closet and Jacob fell out....Classic. And Edward hiding in the bathroom....
It reminded me of a comedy....like the old 70's sitcom, Three's Company.... just funny!!!:).....
talk to you later....
