Chapter 1- returning

Bella’s POV

I was on an airplane going back to Forks, where Charlie lived. My mom and dad got divorced a long time ago, and I’ve live in Phoenix my whole life. But my mom Renee married a baseball player Phil and he traveled allot and my mom always stayed home with me. But to make her happy I decided to stay with Charlie for a while. I only had a year and a half of school left. No big deal. I can stand the tiniest two in Washington for that long. I think.

I must of fell asleep listing to my IPod because it felt like minutes later we were landing in the small airport of Port Angeles, and soon I saw Charlie waiting for me at the gate.

“Hey Bells” he called to me.

“Hey Cha- Dad” I said back. I always call him Charlie behind his back. But he keeps telling me to call him dad.

“Come on lets go get your bags” he said smiling. We grabbed my bags and soon we where in the police cruiser. Not inconspicuous at all. I always hated attention; I’ve always been that plain, average girl in the back ground. Right where I want to be.

We have been driving for about an hour and a half and I was getting really bored of seeing all this green. The tree’s the grass everything seemed green to me. Then all of a sudden a flash a purple went buy so quickly I barely caught a glance at it. It was soon ahead of us, and I could tell it was a purple sports car. I saw out of the corner of my eye Charlie grip the steering wheel and his face had a hint of anger in it “Dam it Maygen! Can’t I ever have one day of peace” he hissed under his breath, but loud enough for me to here.

“Who’s Maygen?” I asked curiously. This was the first thing I said to him since we got into the police cruiser.

Charlie paused for a moment and took a deep breath before answering “Oh she’s just a bit of a trouble maker for me in Forks. But the rest of her family are saints, and he dad is a great doctor” he said quickly.

“Oh cool” I said quickly. Maybe Forks won’t be as boring as I thought.
