CHAPTER ONE – THE MOVE {Alexya's POV} Written by Carmen E

July 7th. I’ll never forget the day I felt a bone crushing pain, one worse than the one I suffered when I was ten.

‘Alexya it’s time!’ Dad called from outside. The roar of his car was uncomfortable. I took a ragged breath and looked one last time at the empty house with the first trickling tears on my cheeks. I whipped them away quickly. It had finally hit me, I was moving away from the only place I called home.

‘Goodbye’ I whispered, my voice echoed in the empty space. Goodbye memories, goodbye Mom, goodbye Anthony, goodbye Houston. Goodbye sun, goodbye Silver, goodbye Mariah, goodbye past...

Today I was moving to Forks, Washington. The rainiest and coldest place in the continental U.S. because my father, Frank, was offered a good job as a head surgeon at the local hospital and he couldn’t resist the opportunity. I tightened my grip on Pooh, Anthony’s small brown teddy bear. I turned my back on my past and walked with my chin held high to face my present and future: Forks.

I am fifteen and my life couldn’t have been any worse. I slammed the door of the red truck my dad owned and looked at him firmly ‘Let’s go.’

He smiled warmly but it never touched his eyes, he knew what I was going through. He backed away from my childhood’s house, from my suffered past.I hoped that my future would be something better but I doubted it. Bad luck chased me everywhere I went.

At the airport, we went through the normal procedures except that this was a one way ticket, there was no turning back. Forks would be a new home, a home I’d have new memories in, better memories as Frank had put it.

On the plane flying to my eminent town, I didn’t sleep, though it was a five hours flight. I looked out the window and at the changing weather when we reached our destined place. I let a gasp escape my lips. I smiled in anticipation. Raindrops were staining the thick glass of my window. I loved the rain and the cold.

The plane started descending and I prepared myself for the speed of the aircraft when it touched land, wet land.

Finally there: Seattle International Airport.

Frank had already bought a car the last time he visited Forks. He even got the house furnished and enrolled me into high school.

Ugh, high school. I absolutely did not want to be the new girl in school. I’d rather be invisible than the new girl. I couldn’t handle the gossip that would probably scatter all around this small town. In fact, I already think – no I know – that they’re aware of our arrival. Word spreads fast in towns where there were three thousand one hundred and twenty one people, well three thousand one hundred and twenty three now. Thank god I had two months to settle in and get familiar with my surroundings, especially the people, before enduring a new torture.

The relief washed away when we were racing to the black BMW under the rain. ‘Don’t worry Lilia.’

That was what everyone at home used to call me, Lilia; I liked it because it reminded me of flowers. I felt uneasy and homesick; I took calm slow deep breaths. Don’t cry Alexya, not now, I reminded myself. ‘You’ll love the house, and Forks.’

I doubted it; I just stared at the unending green nature passing by in a blur. The rain became much more persistent, and I became much calmer. The sound of the drizzling raindrops on the car’s rooftop above us was very relaxing.

I was fixing my eyes on the beautiful nature when I saw a blur in the woods. I straightened. Alert, I turned to Frank ‘Did you see that?’ my voice was frantic.

‘See what, honey?’ He took his eyes from the road to look at me with interest.

‘Never mind’ I slumped back on the seat and focused on the blurry green image. The car slowed and turned into a brick driveway and in front of a two-storey white house.

The forest grew from every way. I had no neighbors nearby. The first hint of civilization was situated around the corner and down the street. Great, I thought to myself dryly. Dad cut the engine and faced me. ‘I have work, Al so here’s the key.’ He handed me the metal key in my white small hand. ‘I’ll help you carry the bags. The room upstairs to the right is yours and the other one is mine. You don’t have to unpack my bag, just get familiar with the house and relax.’

I sighed, arguing was no longer useful. I got used to Frank bailing out on me for the hospital. I reminded myself that it was for a good cause. I wanted to be alone anyway. I sensed the tears that I’ve been holding back since five hours resurfacing and with more power this time. I swallowed the gulp in my throat forcefully. I kept my voice calm and serious. ‘Will you be back early?’

‘I don’t know, Lilia. If I’m late, don’t wait for me.’ He paused with a smile then continued. ‘Come on; let me help you with the bags.’ I got out of the car and opened the trunk.

I had two small cases when Dad had only a big one. I grabbed my luggage and walked up the unsteady stairs of my new porch. I unlocked the door and stepped inside the manner.

I stood unmoving, my eyes sweeping the space. To my right, a glass dining table of four was centered in the room. Black and white photographs of all sizes were placed on each beige-colored wall. To my left, a red leather couch with two flanking armchairs tinted in the same color stood. An oak-colored oval coffee table was centered between the red furniture. A plasma TV was bolted to the wall facing the couch. This was the living room, I concluded. Impressive, Frank had good taste. A door was open and I could see a small round table with two simple chairs pushed to a window. I turned my gaze reluctantly to the wooden stairs built in the hall.

I climbed the steady steps silently with my baggage in hand. I faced two closed doors and opened the one Frank had pointed as mine. The room was pink. I groaned. Frank knew how much I hated that color. I didn’t have it in me to complain right now, I was missing Houston enormously. I threw my bags on my blood-red bed but didn’t open them, not yet. I was afraid that if I started unpacking this would crush me. I just grabbed Pooh tightly and stared around me until I caught my drained reflection on the wall-length mirror.

My lavender eyes were swollen with exhaustion, my pitch black straight hair clung to my face, because it was wet. I had tinted my fringe flashy blue as a tribute to Adam Lambert. It always caught people off guard. I think they were intimidated by me. Surprisingly, I felt smug that I was the only one to have tinted my hair. I felt special. Ha!

My navy t-shirt kissed my chest and shoulders because as my black pants did to my legs and my sneakers to my feet.

‘Bye honey!’ called Frank from downstairs before closing the door behind him. I sighed and detached my eyes from my pathetic look. I wanted to clear my head, breathe some fresh air so I decided to go take a walk into the strange woods.

I didn’t bother getting a coat. I wanted to feel the rain pour on my skin. I stepped in the kitchen but didn’t stop. I continued till I was outside in the backyard.

As soon as I stepped on the grass, I was immediately drenched with the rain’s downpour. I walked towards the immense trees. I wandered aimlessly for the perfect spot to sit on. The soil beneath my feet was muddy, the smell of pine trees was overpowering. I felt tired but I kept going, leaving sight of my house but I made sure that I was going on a straight path so that I’d know where to get back to when I’m calmed and had cleared my head.

Exhausted, I stopped and looked around me. I found a small rock under a tree and went to sit on it. As soon as I was under the tree’s safety, all my feelings of pain hit me with much power. This time, I let my tears fall. I hid my face between my hands while I sobbed quietly for the ache that’s been tormenting me for the past five hours. I didn’t want to be here; I wanted to be back in Houston with Becca– my best friend, and I wanted to be in the ranch again, taking care of Silver, my white horse. I wanted to be near Mom and Anthony but I wasn’t, I couldn’t. I was in Forks, the silence seemed too disturbing, and my quiet sobs echoed in the forest.

I bit my tongue, I shouldn’t make any noise. If anyone heard me, they’d think that I’ve been hurt or something bad had happened. I was hurt, and something bad did happen to me. I was taken away from the only place I called refuge; I’ve been brought to this town forcefully. I wished I had never told Dad that I was happy for him. I knew that he wouldn’t have moved to Forks without my acceptance. But I wanted him to be happy, so I let him take me away from Houston. It was my fault I was here.

I heard movements coming from a bush in front of me, my head snapped up to the noise. I started hyperventilating, this couldn’t be good. I held my breath and pressed my legs to myself. I shrunk to the tree. Maybe the person won’t notice me. He emerged from the bush.

The boy, or should I say man, was tan skinned and wore only shorts. It was freezing; I myself was shaking from the cold. His chest was wet and perfectly structured. I trailed my eyes to his abs. One word popped in my head: Wow. The stranger’s hair was cropped short and dark. He didn’t seem to notice me yet, he was looking at the dirt. I exhaled quietly. ‘Humph’ I heard him huff.

He froze when our eyes met.

Hey everyone! I know i've been keeping you waiting! I'm so sorry. and i'll have to keep you waiting more, because i only wrote a part of chapter ten, i'm sorry. but here it is.

CHAPTER TEN – THE CULLEN’S (Part One) {SETH’S POV}

‘Sweet dreams, rebelled angel.’ I murmured in my beautiful Alexya’s ear. Her heart beat was calm, soft and reassuring.
I stroked her angelic face discreetly, careful not to really touch her, just to brush her face ever so slightly. She looked so innocent, so perfect when she slept so soundlessly, probably dreaming of something pleasant. I smiled loving at my sweet imprint cuddled on my side. My arms were wrapped around her slender shoulders protectively but not too tightly, so that I wouldn’t make her uncomfortable. She seemed unconscious. She looked so beautiful; my heart beat accelerated at the sight of her beautiful smile.

‘I love you.’ I murmured into the dark. I didn’t care if Leah heard it and I didn’t care if I wasn’t supposed to be here, I was the happiest man in the universe and nobody could ever take that away from me. Her beauty was just so surreal, it was hard not to think that I wasn’t dreaming and that I’ll wake up soon to my old life, where I was hoping and wishing for love at first, for imprinting.
I stroked her silky black hair, she was so gorgeous. My own personal angel sent from the heavens above.

I pressed my lips to her ear. ‘I love you’ I whispered again.
She shifted and rested her head on my chest. I froze while I looked down my sleeping angel, so beautiful, so perfect. My heart pounded in my chest at the sudden closeness we had gotten.

‘Seth’ I heard her breathe. My heart stopped for a second. I looked down again but I saw that she was still sleeping. I kissed the top of her head gently and inhaled her sweet floral scent.

I laid my head back on the pillow and looked at the ceiling. Lilia, Lilia, Lilia. That was all I could think about, Alexya.
I closed my eyes and finally drifted away, to the first dream I had ever really dreamt of.
The dream of my coming future, the future that I will make sure that will happen.
* * *
I groaned and rolled over. I absentmindedly reached for Lilia, but she wasn’t there. I touched the cold sheets and my eyes snapped open. Where was she? Why was she up so early?
I got up and stumble to get my equilibrium. I followed her scent to the kitchen. She was with Mom, and they were both cooking together. My beautiful Lilia had her glasses on. She looked so adorable.
I grinned at the pleasant scene. But that wasn’t what I wanted. I wanted to have Alexya back in my arms, for me and her to be safe.
‘Good morning.’ I yawned and stretched.
My sweet imprint turned around and gave me the most beautiful smile she could procure. She took my breath away. ‘Morning’ her melodious voice sent goose bumps through my whole body.
I grinned at her and went over to kiss Mom’s cheek. I peeked over her shoulder to see what she was making. ‘So, what’s for breakfast?’
‘Eggs & bacon’

My mouth watered while my nostrils flared with delicious aroma. My hand reached towards the still heated pan. Mom slapped my hand. ‘Don’t you dare’ she threatened.
I rubbed my hand absentmindedly, it didn’t hurt; it was just out of habit. ‘But Mommy, I’m hungry.’ I fluttered my thick lashes at her and made my voice innocent. I knew how to get to her.
I heard Lilia crack up. ‘Mommy’ she mocked me in a murmur. ‘Don’t let him get to you Sue.’ She laughed.
I turned and scowled at her. I pointed two fingers to my eyes then to her. ‘I’m watching you’ I mouthed.
That made her laugh harder, I couldn’t help but smile. Her laugh was my favorite song, and I would never ever get tired of it.

Meanwhile, I could hear Leah open the door of her bedroom and race down the stairs. She was beside me before I blinked. Show off. I rolled my eyes. Lilia giggled, that sent my heart fluttering like bird wings.
Leah shot me an amusing look and I narrowed my eyes at her. She pushed me out of the way and grabbed the food before Mom could object.
‘Hey!’ we all protested.
But she had eaten it all already, stupid wolf. ‘What?’ her mouth was still full with our breakfast.
‘Wolfs in this family’ Mom muttered while rolling her eyes.
Lilia and I laughed. Leah just huffed and went back upstairs.
‘I’m sorry, Alexya.’ Mom shot my beautiful imprint an apologetic look.
‘It’s okay’ she grinned. ‘I like the whole family thing. It makes me feel at home.’
‘You are, honey.’ Mom quickly answered.
‘Okay, okay. Enough with the love; I want food!’ I complained.
‘Get your own’ Lilia and Sue muttered at the same time.
‘Fine! I will’

After a delicious meal of turkey sandwich with melted cheese and lettuce, Lilia and I headed back upstairs.
‘So what are we doing today?’ she asked back in my room.
‘I thought you might want to know and meet the Cullen’s.’
Her face lit up, along with my heart. ‘Yes! Please!’
‘But… there’s something you need to know first.’
I sat her down on the bed and looked at her with an anxious look on my face.
‘What?’ she stroked my hand reassuringly.
I took a deep breath from my mouth and said. ‘They’re vampires.’

CHAPTER TEN - THE CULLEN'S (Part Two) {Seth's POV}

I took a deep breath from my mouth and said. ‘They’re vampires.’
She looked at me with shock in her eyes. ‘Wh…’ she lifted her hand then dropped it. ‘Ho… Wait what?’
I just nodded.
‘There are vampires in Forks?’ Her expression was blank.
‘Yeah’ I paused. ‘But don’t worry, they don’t drink human blood, they feed on animals. They don’t want to be monsters. They’re considered vegetarians and they’re good friends. I would never put you at risk if I thought that they’d cause danger.’ My words were rushed.
Her expression turned to one of awe. ‘Sweet vamps! That’s so cute!’ She grinned.
‘When can I meet them?’ She started to jump in her seat.
‘If you want, we can go now, but first you’ll need to know their story.’
‘Okay!’ her beautiful eyes glowed with excitement.

I scooted closer to her and she rested her head on my shoulder.
‘Tell me’ she whispered.
She took my hand and pressed on it tightly. My heart hammered in my chest at our closeness. Her scent filled my nostrils and I was grateful. She was so beautiful and adorable in the same time. I was hers, for eternity, even if she didn’t realize it yet. I love you, I wanted to tell her, but there was something else we needed to talk about: The Cullen’s.
‘The Cullen coven is made of Carlisle and Esme – who are considered like the father and mother of the family – Emmett and Rosalie,’ I grinned as she recognized Emmett’s name. ‘Yeah, that Emmett. Anyways, then there’s Alice and Jasper – Alice can see the future, but not if we, the werewolves, are in it and Jasper can sense your emotions and can manipulate them. Then there’s Edward, Bella and Nessie. Edward can read everyone’s mind except Bella’s who can form a shield to protect anyone and Nessie can show you what she thinks by only touching you.’
‘Nessie’s a vampire?’ She gasped. ‘Don’t vampires burn under the sun?’
I laughed and kissed my Lilia’s cheek. ‘That’s a myth, and Nessie actually is half human, half vampire.’
She cocked her head to one side. ‘Half human, half vampire?’
I nodded. ‘That’s another story, but long story short, Bella was human when Edward and her conceived Renesmee and she would’ve died if Edward didn’t turn her into a vampire, and he loves her so he did.’ I shrugged.
‘So Renesmee’s their biological daughter?’
‘Yep’
‘Wait, you said that one of them – Edward – can read minds, another one – Alice I think – can see the future and Jasper, was it, can control your emotions.’
I nodded.
‘That. Is. So. COOL!’ She yelled. ‘But you’re still my favorite super hero, and person in whole wide world.’ She quickly kissed my cheek.
I chuckled but inside, I was soaring – she had no idea what she meant to me, she was the only person in my world and the onlyone I would want to be with for the rest of eternity.
‘So, are you ready to meet the Cullen’s?’ I asked.
She nodded, grinning. ‘Let me change first’
She got up, grabbed her back pack and rushed to the bathroom. For the first time in years, I felt cold – freezing. She’s only in two feet away, I reminded myself. But that was exactly the problem; I didn’t want her to be away, even if she was an inch far.
I took the liberty of changing from my boxers to something comfortable.
She was back after two minutes, looking like a radiant angel. She was dressed in white pants and a long-sleeved chocolate colored shirt.
The black curtain her hair represented was made into a messy bun.
Her lavender eyes shone making her all-the more perfect and that perfect creature sitting in front of my laptop was mine, God had sent her for me. I secretly thanked Him for the blessing he had bestowed upon me.
She placed her glasses in their box and placed them inside the bag. It was shame she didn’t put them, she was just so beautiful in them.

‘Let’s go?’ I suggested and she nodded, smiling at me.
I reached for her hand and she took it. We walked silently out of the house and headed towards the woods. I stopped and smiled.
She jumped in excitement. ‘Piggy back ride!’ her voice thrilled.
I laughed and set her on my back.
‘I’m not closing my eyes this time; I want to see how fast you can go.’
I chuckled and shrugged. ‘Okay, but hang on tight.’
She giggled and tightened her grip on me.

I ran at my fastest to the Cullen’s mansion. I made sure that we arrived in the middle of the driveway, so we’d prepare the family for our visit.
After about ten minutes, the uncomfortable scent hit me; it always took me aback for a few seconds. It was so powerful so I knew that I was getting closer and I knew that I was in hearing range for Edward.
Edward, I got Lilia… I mean Alexya with me.

I stopped exactly in the middle of the driveway. ‘Okay, Lilia. You can go down now.’
She slowly descended from my back. I turned around and I saw her stumble to get her equilibrium, I held her quickly before she fell. Her eyes were wide. ‘That was so awesome!’ She screamed. ‘Can we do that again?! Please! Please! Please! Please, Seth!’ She begged.
I laughed and kissed her cheek. ‘Anytime you want.’
‘Yay!’ she jumped and clapped her hands together.
She was so cute and lovely.
I resumed my serious tone. ‘Are you ready?’
She nodded, still hyper.
I took her hand and we walked to the house.
‘So, you’re not nervous?’ I asked.
‘Nope. They seem like good people.’ She smiled genuinely.
‘They are; you’ll love them.’ I grinned.
‘I’m sure’ she smiled, showing her even bleaching-white teeth.
We arrived in front of the door and before I could knock, Carlisle opened the door and smiled kindly at both of us.
Lilia’s heart accelerated at the sight of the father of the vampire family. That was normal, but I was still a bit jealous.
‘Hello, Alexya, I’m Carlisle. Welcome to our home.’ Carlisle’s voice didn’t hide any affection.
My rebelled angel grinned back, ‘I’m honored.’ She extended her hand towards him and he took it, ever so gently.
She winced at the cold touch but didn’t say anything. ‘Let me introduce you to my family.’
She nodded shyly.
‘This is Esme, my wife.’ He extended his arm and Esme was at his side in merely a blink.
Lilia grinned at her. ‘It’s a pleasure to meet you.’
‘The pleasure is all mine darling.’ Her voice was soothing, motherly as her nature. I loved Esme; she was such a caring person.
Edward and Bella stepped forward; they were both looking at me with a loving smile on their face. I couldn’t help but smile back.
I love her. I looked down at my beautiful rebelled angel. Her hand was still enveloped in mine.
‘Hello, I’m Edward Cullen and this is Bella, my wife.’ Edward turned to my Lilia.
‘Hello’ her smile was exuberant, so beautiful. I sighed internally.
Tell Jasper I’m sorry I know he must be feeling the overload of love. It might be uncomfortable for him. I shot him an apologetic look but he simply shook his head.
‘Hi, I’m Bella.’
Before Lilia could answer her, Alice was in front of her with a frustrated look on her face. ‘Yeah, yeah – you’re charmed but no, she’s the one who’s charmed. Blah-blah-blah! My turn now. Hi I’m Alice!’
We all laughed at her including Lilia. ‘You know who I am I guess.’ Lilia answered.
‘Oh, hi Seth!’ Alice grinned.
‘Ha, I thought I was invisible for a second.’ I mocked.
Everyone in the room chuckled and Lilia elbowed me in the ribs. I didn’t feel a thing but I knew she did, because she was rubbing it unconsciously. I grimaced; I saw Bella and Edward giving me a meaningful look. I smiled sheepishly.
Emmett appeared in front of her before I could blink. His grin was huge, so was he. Lilia stretched her neck to look into his golden eyes and grinned back. ‘You’re Emmett’ she said matter-of-factly.
‘How did you know, little girl?’
‘Nobody looks funnier than you.’ She chuckled.
Everybody chuckled at her response except Emmett. ‘You know you shouldn’t say that to a vampire.’
‘It’s okay, Seth will help if you go coo-coo.’ She shrugged.
He raised his eyebrow at me. ‘You finally found Mini Me!’
I glared at him, I warned him silently not to make her do something stupid.
He looked at me with fake shock plastered on his face. ‘Me? No’ he shook his head.
Jasper and Rose approached us in human pace.
Jazz spoke first. ‘Why are you all standing? Let’s go sit!’
Everyone nodded and I guided my Alexya to the white couch.
Edward and Bella sat on the piano; Alice towed Jasper to Alexya’s side and sat beside her.
Rosalie and Emmett flicked on the TV and turned the channels so fast, I think Alexya might be having a headache, and I didn’t want that. I turned to see my Lilia chatting happily with Alice and Jasper.
Renesmee and Jacob were out of sight, hmm.
‘They’re out hunting with our guests’ Edward called.
I nodded and focused on Lilia and her beautiful smile.
Right then, the door opened and Nessie and Jacob entered followed by the vampires.
The woman had the same black silky hair my Lilia had, she was pale and her crimson eyes were smeared with gold. She was holding hands with the male, who had blond hair but his eyes were of the same tint.
I heard Alice, Edward and Lilia gasp. The woman stopped in her tracks and looked wide-eyed at my Alexya.
‘Mom?’ my Lilia’s voice broke.
No, it couldn’t be – could it?
Elsa.
