Edward

Right now my mind denies it

Yet my heart says it is:

Edward is neither mutant nor alien;

Edward is a vampire that loves me.

Today I saw him in the forest

In a place secret but to him

And there the sunlight shone

Upon his cold, marble-white skin.

My eyes were dazzled, I gasped

When suddenly he glowed

As a thousand diamonds radiant

Under the clear light of the sun.

He asked me if I feared him

If any terror grasped my soul

But I could not lie to him

Any fear defeated is by love.

Oh Edward, don’t leave my side

Let me stay always with you,

For right now my mind can’t get it

Edward, I’m in love with you!
