This is a place for all the new members to introduce themselves to the other members.
Noodles gave me inspiration to make this discussion and I think it's a really good idea. This way there is no need to start your own discussion just to let people know that you are new and would like to have some friends.
Just tell us something about yourself, why you became a member of Team Edward, why you like the saga, ... anything you want to share. But remember that this is still an online site, so be carefull with the information you share.

Well, I'll start.
My name is Ineke and I'm 16 years old. I live in one of the smallest countries of Europe, Belgium.
I am a huge music fan and I love to watch movies, although horror is not my favourite genre.
I am a dancer and I love photography. I make graphics and banners and I like to make new friends.
I became a member of Team Edward because in my eyes Edward is the perfect boyfriend/husband. He takes care of the ones he loves, no matter what. He will always protect the ones he cares about. He never leaves your side. He'll always listen when you have something to say. He'll stand up for you at any time. He will love you until forever, ... -

Ineke, your very small country has produced two of my favorite tennis players ever, Kim Clijsters and Justine Henin. They are both such incredible athletes and competitors.
I agree with you that horror is not my favorite genre of movie--it's not that I don't enjoy horror movies, it's just been a very long time since I've seen a very good one. Most of them now are either gore-tastic or else are boring and predictable. What are your favorite movies? -

And oh, I just think it's way too scarry and grose!!
I prefer romance or comedie or action even.. but no horror lol.
Well I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, so they are somewhere around my number one, I also love the Twilight movies. Then I'm a dancer so I love to watch dance movies, Step Up (1&2), Honey, ... are some really good movies. I also like Raise your voice, The guardian, The pursuit of happiness and ofcourse Remember Me... I have a very wide taste. I can appreciate a lot of good movies. What are your favourites? -

Hi, I'm Johnnie from East Texas. I am a female in my late 40's. I agree with you about Edward being the perfect boyfriend/husband. I've been through hell with men and I think it would be awesome to have the protection from a mate like Bella has in Edward. Wow, I was blown away by this saga. I'm a country girl and love the outdoors, riding horses, camping, hiking. For the "girly" stuff I like to do, I make quilts by hand and I love to cook.

HI,I'm Jessie and not an English native speaker,Since I watched twilight, I found that I couldnt pull me out of loving this ,like you said,Edward is a perfect bf or husband,maybe we cant find that man in reality,lol...by the way horror is not my favorite genre ,neither~~~

Well, wow!! Another person from belgium!! How wonderful! It's really nice to meet you too.
It seems to me that you have a really good taste ;-) I really like Harry Potter and Twilight too.
I can tell you this, Anja.. You are by far not the only one who whishes that Edward was real, but unfortunately for us all.. that is impossible. Although you may always find your 'personal Edward'!

Great idea Ineke! While I'm not new, I still think a thread like this is a great way for everyone here (new and old) to introduce ourselves.
So, I'm in my late 30's and I live in the US, in a small town in the Midwest. I'm a writer, and I recently completed my Master of Fine Arts in writing. I've published fiction, personal essay, a photography series, and a handful of poems. I love music, sports, movies, and most of all books. On average I read 4-6 books a week, and I'm always reading at least 3 or 4 different books concurrently. My tastes range all over the place--the only types of books I don't enjoy are boring ones.
I joined TTS because once I read the books, I needed somewhere to rave about my love of them. I joined Team Edward not because I think he's perfect--far from it, actually. I think he's a deeply flawed individual. But I like him because he always tries to do the right thing, even if he's sometimes wrong about what the right thing is. And I love that he knows himself that he's not perfect and he admits that. To me, that is Edward's best quality, that he can admit his mistakes and learn from them and try to be better. That's the quality I think everyone should look for in a mate. -

Wow, I didn't know all this. So you're a writer? I would love to read some stories you've written..
I love books too, but since I have so much schoolwork, it's really hard to read books and learn everything at the same time, but I compare that with reading a lot during the vacations.
I like your view of Edward.. You are right (and I was a bit too impulsive) that he is not completely perfect, but that he does admit that and that is indeed a really important and good quality. -
