I think yoyu are right to
i think in twilight the apple or "forbidden fruit" is being held in a heart shape so it means basically someone(edward) loves the forbidden fruit (bella)
in new moon the flower is multicolored which means bella is having mixed feelings (beacuse she loves jacob) but she is begining to wilt (petal falling) because of edward leaving
in eclipse the torn ribbin means she is torn (like the ribbin) because she loves jacob and edward
in breaking dawn the chess piece in the front is the volturi but the pawn ( the cullens) is moving in on the king and is becoming a threat to the kings life

thats what i got from it anyways

Stephenie said this on her website: twilight: The apple on the cover of Twilight represents "forbidden fruit." I used the scripture from Genesis (located just after the table of contents) because I loved the phrase "the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil." Isn't this exactly what Bella ends up with? A working knowledge of what good is, and what evil is. The nice thing about the apple is it has so many symbolic roots. You've got the apple in Snow White, one bite and you're frozen forever in a state of not-quite-death... Then you have Paris and the golden apple in Greek mythology—look how much trouble that started. Apples are quite the versatile fruit. In the end, I love the beautiful simplicity of the picture. To me it says: choice.

new moon:That is a ruffled tulip. As for the meaning... If you've read the Twilight FAQ, you know that the apple cover had a lot of meaning for me, and I was an active part of the covering process. However, that experience is more the exception than the rule in the publishing world. Something to keep in mind if you intend to embark on a career as a writer: lots of things you might expect to be under your control are not. Covers, for example. Those are mostly up to the publisher and the marketing and sales departments. So I don't know what the tulip means—I didn't have anything to do with this one.

Breaking Dawn's cover is a metaphor for Bella's progression throughout the entire saga. She began as the weakest (at least physically, when compared to vampires and werewolves) player on the board: the pawn. She ended as the strongest: the queen. In the end, it's Bella that brings about the win for the Cullens.

There is no FAQ  for the eclipse cover so I think you might be right

yea that's exactly right.. I read it on her website to !
no i think it twilight cover.....the color of the apple is bella's blood....because bella's blood is like a drug to edward right so it means that the apple is bella's blood that is like a drug to edward.....apples can be a drug...understand...

that is so right!!!

i think in NM the flower has like petals falling off of it likeshe is dying because edward is not around. altogether just the cover gives the book a gloomy appearence.
idk wat the rest of them mean. maybe im wrong and they're just supposed to look cool.
who knows?
twilight- forbidden love
new moo the year passed and the time without edward
eclipse bella's choice 4 edward
breaking down bella's tralel through the saga
on BD cover the chees pices mean the red one is bella as human insignifian an little and the white quin is ger immortal new life strong and powerful
*stared* - one worded meaning

The Twilight is a heart shape so I think it means *formed* and a new apple so *new* could be either.
The new moon is actualy a red & white flower with a petal falling of . It is like their love going wrong so I think it means *breaking*
Eclipse is her love is torn between Edward and Jacob like a ribbon so*tear*
Breaking dawn is a important chess piece vs. a pawn so it's the cullens vs. the volturi. I think this it is *fight* it could be Bella's old week self vs. her immortal self so *sronger*

Now the titles...

(bracked) - obvious meaning of the title
[squared] - secret meaning of the title
*stared* - one word for the secret meaning

Twilight *begining* (the nights begining) [loves begining]
New moon *fresh start* (a moons fresh start) [new times...must make a fresh start...]
Eclipse *dark* (when the moon makes a area dark) [a dark time coz of Victoria]
Breaking dawn *end & begining* (nights end, days begining) [struggle-ends, happiness-begins]
I think that.
