I do agree with you on this letter. I just started because I like the books and enjoy reading! I have like reading some of the fanfic. Ya, they should leave the poor boy alone! He is human just like the rest of us! I also do like all of the rest of the characters as to.

I agree with you whole heartedly on that one. I came here for the fan fiction but then they started banning more mature stories. I agree with them that the underage kids shouldnt read but Im 36 and I dont like to be told what i can and can not read.

I rarely check the boards anymore as Ill i see is bashing or " rob is smoking drinking" some of these people think cause they pay 10 to see a movie or 4 bucks for the magazine they know him. YOU DONT,


Hell I doubt he would even give you guys the time of day. Seriously people he is a busy man and has to be weary of fans. Hes an adult and I doubt you voiceing your opinions is going to make him not do anything.

I'm sorry you feel you have to leave.
There are many of us here who can tell the difference between Rob the actor and Edward the character. I hate to think you're letting a few delusional, obnoxious "stalker" types dictate your internet habits, but I guess you must do what you feel is best for you. Sorry you feel you have to go.

Oh I know there are plenty on this board that have a stable mental health. I check the board time to time but being of my age, I dont have time for high school games so to speak.

Seriously who cares who rob is dating or not dating, if he smokes, gets his party on. Can any of the older "Fans" remember a time in there past where they acted this way with say an actor, music groupe etc........

Sure when i was a teen I had posters plasted in my room but I dont think i ever care who they dated or if they were big partiers.

R there any serious discussions on here?

sure there are, you just have to dig for them and ignore anything that was obviously posted by a squee (like things that are written in all caps or with two ii's in every other word, or have obviously ridiculous points) Being of a certain age myself, I can understand your frustration : ) But it's possible to have meaningful discussions, even on this site.

For instance, in one group on this site nearly every discussion is a serious, insightful dissection of a different topic in the saga--our current topics include things like what the actual cause of Edward's frozen emotional state was, what the strengths and weaknesses are in different kinds of bonds in the saga (like imprinting, love bonds, alpha commands, etc), whether the particular actions of certain characters at certain points were ethical, whether vampires are actually soulless or not, I could go on and on . . . you just have to look for the topics that require more thought than the average squee is going to post, lol!

In another group we are simply devoted to Rob. We have a no papparazzi picture rule, we have a thread entirely devoted to shooting down obnoxious rumors about him, and the group is kept updated daily with whatever legitimate news we can find about Rob, his movie projects, interviews, etc. And most of us in that group agree that he's an adult, he can decide for himself whether to party, drink or smoke, and who suits him romantically.

One thing I have to say is that--though it may be annoying to read the opinions of some overly rabid fans--at least they are thinking about things like drinking and smoking and making judgment calls about those things for themselves. Now thinking you're going to actually meet him through facebook, etc., is another matter entirely--the idea is actually a bit ridiculous. If you really want to meet him, go stake out a bunch of Sam or Bobby concerts. He's sure to turn up at one of those eventually.

Point me to these discussion cause I dont have time for the peddly little minds of these teeny boppers. I can barely stand the mind of my 14yr old. Im not intrested in meeting him or staking out to see. Yes, at least they are but seriously when you were in your 20s did you really really care what others thought about your clubbing and debauchry days. I sure didnt! I had friends that didnt go clubbing or to concerts and they told me about my drinking habits. DIDNT listen.

One I dont care about Robs judgements their his to make he is an adult. Its all about getting paid and making his living with the career path he choose. He want to either act or be a muscian and it is our choice as fans to either stick with him or judge him.

I am not going to stop liking his work because he does something wrong.
