JACOB IS THE ONE WHO IS SELFISH. . .
ABOUT EDWARD, HE'D DONE IT BECAUSE HE THINKS IT IS THE BEST THING FOR BELLA, BUT AS A RESULT, EDWARD'S POINT OF VIEW IS WRONG... BUT OF COURSE IT IS JUST THE BEST THING TO DO AT THAT MOMENT

Jacob is the selfish one. He doesn't care about her feelings... he just wants her for himself. Edward was totally right for doing what he did to try and protect her. Belle choose Edward so Jacob needs to accept it.

I think that Jacob was the selfish one. How he is trying to get Bella to like him for more then just a friend.

Well if it's a contest about which character is the most selfish, I'd have to say that's BELLA. She totally yanks Jacob around from the moment on first beach when she bats her lashes at him to get info about the boy she really wants, Edward.

But between Jake and Edward, I'd give the selfish award to Jacob. In EC, while Edward is telling Bella things like, "I can be noble. You can have any part of me or none at all, if that's better." and offering to leave again if she decides she wants Jacob, well, then you have the little punk doing things like forcing her into a physically painful kiss against her will and emotionally blackmailing her by threatening to kill himself if she won't kiss him again.

So yeah, the award goes to Jake in my opinion. Most selfish louse in the saga next to Bella.

totally agree with you about Bella. So selfish of her to play hot &cold with both of them. Like running to Jacob to tell how much she loves Edward and letting Edward suffer becouse she doesn't let go on Jacob. We have the Winner!!!

Edwards not selfish... he suffer when leaving Bella... he does that beacause he thinks that is the best thing to do... for Bella... he wants her to have a normal life.... he really loves her.. you know when you love someone you have to let it go... if it comes back then that person trully belongs with you..
Jacob tricks Bella into kissing him, he is an idiot.

Edward leaves Bella to protect her from his world...he doesn't want her to become like him, not because he doesn't love her, but because he doesn't want her to miss out in being human and all the experiences that come with it. He is not selfish in anyway...he always gives her a choice in everything she does. In Eclipse its well shown that he steps back and Bella is the one that chooses that she wants Edward not Jacob!!! Jacob is the selfish between the two, he is always pushing Bella and trying to win her over, when he knows deep down that she will always choose Edward, she stated that from the very beginning!!! Jacob forces himself on her, plenty of times!!! Jacob just annoys me sooo much!!!
I think alot of "Team Jacob" fans are because of the movies and not because they have read the books! If they had read the books they would see who the right choice is. They only like Jacob because supposibly he is hot in the movies, but personally I think Edward is waaaaaay hotter then Jacob :)!!!

Jacob is way more selfish.
I mean with this line "you have to consider the fact that I might be better then her"
Jacob is self centered where Edward is not
