Vivian don't break my heart. I also read she is taking a break but maybe just maybe she will realise that the story will never be truly finished, unless, as you so aptly put it below, we know Edwards inner turmoil and all he knows. I am holding true to her and i hope that it is still in my lifetime. I just think that unless we know what it is that Edward is and knows in all honesty, the Twilight Saga will be unfinished, so without wnating to Nag SM she has to finish MS for herself as well as us!

Yip Marissa, I also saw that post somewhere, and I knew it was a long time back so have had hope upon hope that she stays true to her early statement.

Oh!! and Viv, yes she has made money, but it is so nice to have money and the more the better, so let's hope that Steph is human, and decides to finish MS for the money. I will not judge her at all, don't care what her motive is, I just NEED MIDNIGHT SUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comment by Vivian on November 29, 2012 at 11:45pm: The last article I read in which SM commented about Midnight Sun, she said that when everyone stopped talking about it then she would finish it. She also has said since then that she is taking a break from vampires and wants to pursue other ideas. As much as I loved the portion of Midnight Sun that she did post, I truly don't believe that she will finish it and publish it. I think she has moved on, she is financially secure, she has The Host coming out, etc. I feel really cheated by the person who leaked MS in the first place, because I believe that Midnight Sun would have been the best book of the series. In it, you learn more about the Cullens, the torment that Edward feels about what he is, why he loves Bella, and also about the humans. Without Midnight Sun we wouldn't have known how Bella's "so called" friends at school really felt about her, how 2-faced Jessica was, how Mike had naughty fantasies about her, etc. We wouldn't have known that Charlie shared her "shield" to a degree. I still hold out hope that she will finish MS, but I don't think she will any time soon.

Comment by Marissa Germany on November 29, 2012 at 5:54pm: June 2008 Update: In response to the outrageous number of emails that I have received with questions concerning Midnight Sun, I talked to Stephenie this weekend and she asked me to let everyone know that Midnight Sun is her next project. She has not yet finished writing it (and there is no timeline set up, so we all need to put a lot of effort into being patient for a while longer), but she is definitely still planning on having it published. And, after Breaking Dawn comes out, Stephenie will have much more time to focus on writing Midnight Sun. Found this on Stephenies page :)

I have been trying for two years and have had no joy. Through her website, the official one you can only send a message regarding the site to her brother the web master. And I have sent him one, two or six messages. I am sure he thinks I am a stalker (lol) So if you find something let us all know and we will all send a begging mail to her.
