Thanksgiving Day we will be going to my mom and dad's for the meal. I will probably do some Christmas shopping on Black Friday, then Saturday my husband's brother and some of his sisters as well as possibly some nieces and nephews and cousins will be coming up our way to get together at a local restaurant. I am looking forward to it.

I will do my Thanksgiving Dinner early probably by Wednesday 23.  I would have cooked all my food make my sweet potatoe pie and my cake.  I have to work.

Thanksgiving Day is probably my favorite day of the year!  My little fam of 5 just stay at home and enjoy the day together.  We watch the Macy's Parade on TV as I cook and bake up a storm!  LOL  We'll play games and maybe watch It's A Wonderful Life later in the afternoon/evening.  Then the following day is when we decorate for Christmas and have homemade soups.  I'll share our fav. recipes with ya soon!!!  Great discussion topic Donna.... you're the BEST!!!!

This looks really good...and simple!

Sounds yummy!!

Not sure yet. No really. May go out not cook at home. But one thing is for sure. I have to have a good thick slice of home made bread or those fat brown and serve roll, cover it in butter and then pour chunky turkey gravy over it and dig in. It's like bread pudding meets pot pie meets open face turkey sammich...........yummmmmmmmm

I am meeting my boyfriend's entire family for the first time! I am so excited and nervous! I have never spent Thanksgiving with anyone except my small immediate family, so this should be different. I am making these really cute pilgrim hat cookies I found online at - hoping they'll make a good impression ; )

  • 1 cup vanilla frosting
  • 7 drops yellow food coloring
  •  32 miniature peanut butter cups
  • 1 package (11-1/2 ounces) fudge-striped cookies
  • 32 pieces orange mini Chiclets gum

  • In a small shallow bowl, combine frosting and food coloring. Remove paper liners from peanut butter cups.
  • Holding the bottom of a peanut butter cup, dip top of cup in yellow frosting. Position over center hole on the bottom of cookie, forming the hatband and crown. Add a buckle of Chiclets gum. Repeat with remaining cups and cookies. Yield: 32 cookies.

YUMMO.... I think I'll makes those pilgrim hats too this year!  thanks so much for posting it FB15.  :)
