I thought that she would be a little too old as well. She's got a lovely face though. Add some pale make-up and blush the cheeks. Pimp her. lol. I've got 5yr old daughters and she doesn't look 5yrs old. Thought I'd read somewhere they were going to use the technology they used for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button to change her looks to appear younger.

she actually does have pale skin but she is too old even though renesmee grows fast

Well, some people think she's perfect. Some people think she's not. It's all a matter of opinion. For movies, you can't have the picture perfect image of the character. Like I don't think anybody who had read Twilight before they casted the rolls imagined KS, RP, and TL. Also, everyone who has read the books has a different image of Renesmee in their head. So, of course it would be hard to fit all those standards. And about everyone saying "she doesn't have brown eyes" (neither does KS) "her hair isn't bronze and curly"(well, RP hair isn't 'bronze' either) there are solutions to all of that. And she may look 'too old' but things can change that. Makeup being one thing. Also, the technology their using.
I personally am fine with the casting choice. Did I imagine her as Renesmee while reading BD, no. But I don't have a total problem with her.
And we all know the book is still going to be better than the movie (LOL).
