The Twilight Saga

Twilight Relation: There are vampires in the other {Shadow} realm.

*Plot*

Once there was a world known to many; Its name was Earth.  This world thrived and prospered, and many watched as it mantained life over the course of millions of years. The most sucessful species, humans, ruled the land with no fear.  However, they forgot one thing.

They were not the only ones that existed in this universe.

There once was a small town huddled in a hillside in England.  Not many people bothered with or knew about that town, but it was a nice and peaceful place to live at. There was green grass and meadows as far as the eye could see. There was also bright forests that lined the horizon, and a large hill where one could watch the sunset as the vibrant colors cascaded over the twilight sky.  There was a creek that ran through the forest, and provided a source of water to the people in the town.  The forest contained many twists and turns of old, worn out, and downtrodden paths. Old rusted train tracks cut through the forest, and an abandoned railroad station stood on the borderline of the forest.

14 year old, Chisa Inira, has always wanted to see a train pass through the old tracks, but her mother had to remind her that the last time a train passed through was over a century ago. One day, Chisa and a few of her friends decide to play down by the railroad tracks. They began to throw a ball back and forth, playing a game of catch. They squeal in laughter. Everything seems like a perfect evening, but it becomes a nightmare in a second. The breeze picks up and the trees start to sway. Chisa throws on her jacket and calls it quits, but a loud whistle screeched in the distance. "Run!" Chisa screamed, and her and her friends stumbled off the railroad. A shadowy train appeared, riding the tracks like a creature prowling in the darkness.

This train was like no else. The whistle sounded once more, and ghostly dark smoke blew from the pipe at the top.

It was indeed, a train made from darkness and shadows. A train that may change Chisa and her friends life forever.

"Ticket, Please."

*Important Notes*

-The shadow train leads into an alternate realm much like earth, however, the people who inhabit this place are shadows/spirits.

-Upon entering the shadow realm, you cannot re-enter the train back to earth unless you find the key.

-All shadow people resemble something specific.

-Staying with shadow people or mingling with them can slowly make you one as well.

-After entering the realm, you must look for a key that unlocks the train door. Without this key, there is no hope of ever returning.

-Shadow people don't have names, but when they shape-shift to humans, they use an alias.

-Some of the shadow people can take forms of regular humans, vampires, or animals, watch out!

*Current Characters*

Name: Chisa Inira

Age: 14

Gender: Female

Bio: As a young girl, Chisa had always been interested in the stars and the moon. She had always wondered if there was another place out there besides Earth. Her parents discouraged her interests and studies, but she persisted with them anyways. After moving to her current town, she had become more interested in the old train tracks, and had always longed for a train to pass through. Her parents still discouraged her, never the less, but the flames in her eyes were never distinguished.

Personality: She's very childish, despite her age. She always complains when things don't go her way, and she loves to be the boss of things. She can be very clumsy at times, and bad at decision making, but that doesn't mean she can't be loving and caring. She finds her friends precious, and would do anything to save or help them.

Name: Kaito Nakamura

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Bio: Kaito's parents died in an accident 7 years ago. His older brother, Shin, is the one who takes care of him. Even as a kid he had a huge imagination. Ghosts, other dimensions, pirates, romance, you name it. Kaito would always tell stories that he came up with to his parents. His parents, being fiction writers, encouraged his imagination. However, his brother did not. Once their parents died, Shin didn't allow Kaito to say any more of his 'stories' and instead got him to play violin. Kaito loves playing the violin and is one of the few things he is very serious about. Kaito has always been curious about the train tracks, but not as much as the others.

Personality: Kaito is a very loud, bright and happy guy. He is very simple-minded and finds a lot of things to be fascinating. He has a lot of energy... too much actually. He could run around for hours and not get tired. It's practically impossible to make him mad. He's always smiling and forgiving to anyone who does his wrong. Kaito comes off as a careless fool a lot. He does have his sweet moments and hates it when people are sad- especially if it's someone he cares about. He is very protective of the ones he loves. Kaito is very imature sometimes and is always scolded by his older brother. Nobody has ever seen this kid cry or get mad.

Friend or foe of the humans?: Nobody knows. She acts like their friend sometimes but sometimes doesn't.

Backstory/History: Aya hardly remembers anything about her past. She doesn't know wether she died or if she stayed with the shadows too long. All she knows for sure is that she was human. Sometimes she has small flashbacks of her past. However it's usually small things like her being in a room (which she thinks was her bedroom) and two people arguing. She doesn't try to know more about her past. She loves anything black and usually comes off as a distant, shady, and dark person, which is one of the reasons people don't usually approach her.

Name: Alec Morgen

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Bio: Growing up, Alec was always a trickster and was very rarely serious. He loved to read Sci Fi stories and comic books, constantly marveling and wishing that he could be in one of those stories, coming alive as one of the characters and living a seperate life in another world. His mother discouraged the idea of his fantasies, but his father always patted him on the back, urging him to keep dreaming. Because, as his father said, dreams have strange ways of coming alive. When he heard the story of the Shadow Train, he was instantly amused and tagged along with Chisa to go to the train tracks.

Personality: He laughs at a lot, makes inappropriate jokes everynow and then, and often smiles to the point where it's contagious. He wouldn't harm a fly, and often trusts others to easily. He's kind, sweet, although his manners could be better...

Alias: Gweneth

Shape-shifter or vampire?: Vampire

Friend or foe of the humans?: She tends to sway back and forth depending on whether or not she is thirsty.

Backstory/History: Gweneth, unfortunately, doesn't remember any of her past life. Occasionally, she'll see images of bits and pieces of her childhood, but not enough to piece together anything important. Though she tries not to think of her past of the way she died, it constantly weighs in the back of her mind, beckoning her to discover more about herself. Gweneth tends to have a rude nature, which most likely keys back to her past. Because of being a vampire, it's hard for her to stay near humans for a long time. She wants to, sure, but most of them decide to stay away because of her aggressive nature and thirst for blood.

Alias: Vincent Duccan

Shape-shifter or Vampire?: Shape-shifter

If shape-shifter, what does it shape-shift into?: Human and a python

Friend or foe to the humans: Foe.

Back story/History: Unlike most shadows, Vincent remembers most of his past. He knows he was human, and that he had a younger sister. While being human, he cared for his sister a lot and often became too overly protective over her. His mother was diagnosed with tuberculosis and unfortunately died when he was a mere nine and his sister only seven. After his mother’s death, he became rude, sharp-tongued, and didn’t care for his sister as much as he should have at the time. His father was at a loss of what to do about Vincent, as he was hanging out with the wrong people and being in the wrong places. His father would strictly tell him to not hang out with those people or to not talk back to him as Vincent did so often, but Vince refused and continued to be rude and argumentative. He took the train to the Shadow Realm one breezy night and hung out with the shadows for too long, thus turning into one himself. Now, with the influence of other shadows, he hates humans, regrets being human, and hates to be near them. He’d much rather do without them in the Shadow Realm.

Alias: Angelica Mercury

Shape-shifter or vampire?: Shape-shifter

If shape-shifter, what does it shape-shift into?: Human; Rabbit

Friend or foe of the humans?: Foe

Backstory/History:  Remarkably, Angelica remembers how she died and what her life as a human was like, but she hates that life and wished it was never there. She recalled the many times she would be hurt in school from insults and terrible comments, and she recalled the time when she was so mad that she took her anger out on her pet rabbit by beating. She ended up killing the rabbit, and she never forgave herself. She remembered when her little brother would scream and cry at her for hurting the rabbit. One day, she went down to the lake, where she boarded the local train. Sadly, the train crashed, and the passengers were all dead, including Angelica. What she saw before she died – was a black rabbit.

She can be very energetic and hyper, and she loves to cause trouble and hurt others. She also whines a lot and asks questions frequently. She also has a hard time staying on task, and she rambles on most of the time. She also is very childish, and loves candy.

She would do anything to have him, even if it involved killing someone. After Ichirou’s death, Amaya couldn’t take the world without him in her life, and so she committed suicide. She is now the conductor for the train, and still has an obsession with him. One thing that she wouldn’t do, however, is tell Ichirou his past.

Alias:  Atticus

Shape-shifter or vampire?: Vampire

Friend or foe of the humans?: Foe

Backstory/History: As a young child, Atticus was abandoned by his birth parents, and sent to an orphanage.  This was mainly because his parents did not want him, not because of any disorders. He grew up there, but was always more violent than the other children. He made fun with dead animals that he found on the side of the street. He once brought a dead baby bird back to the orphanage to scare the other children. He was always described as morbid, downright insane, and sadistic. He was so mentally unstable that no one ever adopted him. At around age twelve, he began to go completely crazy. He was like this because he thought that no one would ever love him. At age sixteen, he committed suicide. Ever since then, he has lived in the shadow realm, and has been mentally corrupt, but manages to keep a low and steady profile there.

(Aww, that's alright Ran-Chan. :) And yes, throwing a forest into the shadow word would be a good idea. xD I'll have to write my reply a little later tonight though, I have to go do some last minute food shopping with my Mom (I can't believe she's making me go at 6:30 at night. |||-.-))

(Ohh okay! I don't know when I'll be able to get one again. Proably next week? Sorry! I'll be back though!))

(It's okay. I cried too. :') )

-

Gweneth stood up slowly to check on Mei. She was alright...hopefully. She sat down next to Mei and let her eyes trace over the bruises, cuts, and wounds on her. She bit down her lip in hatred, a flash of anger appearing in her eyes. However, as soon as it was there, it was gone and replaced by worry. "Please tell me that you're not seriously injured," she whispered, being careful not to raise her voice. She wanted to hug Mei, and Ichirou too. She wasn't too sure how Mei would react to it. She had just called Vincent and Angelica pathetic, hadn't she? Would she be angered if Gweneth hugged her? Why was she questioning it? It didn't matter if she would be angered or not. Gweneth needed the hug, too. She didn't care if it put her in pain or embarrassed her in front of the enemies and the humans. She didn't give a damn anymore. She quickly wrapped her arms around Mei, being careful to avoid any wounds or cuts, and rested her chin on Mei's shoulder. "I'm so glad you're okay," she said, blinking away any tears.
She jerked away from Mei at the sound of Axel's suggestion. "Why the hell do you think we're so dumb? After this, why would we follow you into the woods?" They will go by themselves, not with the enemy. "And another thing, don't act so charming after you and your friends nearly killed us all. It's sickening."

-

Vincent nodded his head slowly. "We'll get some candy later, just be patient." He stood up as if nothing had happened, trying to keep his composure. He was close to crying, but he didn't. Good. He bit his lip and looked at Axel as he suggested that he would lead the humans to the woods. He shook his head slightly. They wouldn't dare follow Axel, would they? He smiled slightly when Gweneth spoke up. He knew she would be the first to say something. "Suit yourself. Axel was just offering to help you out a little."

(Short :O)

Mei turned to Gweneth and gave her a smile. "I'm okay, Gweneth. How are yo-" she was cut off when Gweneth hugged her. Her eyes widened in suprise. She looked at Gweneth for a while before giving her a honest smile. She wrapped her arms around her, careflly and put her hand on the back of Gweneth's head. "Thank you." she said barely above a whisper. Mei was never going to admit this, but she really needed that. Maybe there was someone she could care for. It took everything she had not to burst into tears just like Angelica had. She then turned to Axel and frowned at him. "No way." she said, stepping in between Axel and the humans.

Axel turned to Gweneth "Oh I'm sorry. Was I talking to you?" he asked, his smile dissapearing as he gave her a look of disguist. He nodded at Vincen't remark. "Of course!" he said cheerfully, with his smile back. "I was simply trying to help you! You don't exactly have any leads do you?" he asked. "Besides, they don't have to come alone! Why, you three can come along." he said. "The way I see it, you can either follow me or you can stay here until you die or you turn into a shadow. Your choice!" he said to the humans, looking over Mei. "Besides if they go by themselves, they are sure to get killed." he said sounding worried, even though he and everyone else knew that it was fake. "And we don't want that, now do we?"

Gweneth smiled at Mei before looking back to Axel, a serious look on her face. "When you talk to the humans your talking to us, too," she said. "We would have gone with them, anyway. Besides, as of now it would be a suicide mission. Not only for us but fo you too," she reminded him. "Most of us are hurt. The smart thing to do would be to go home and rest." Or at least that's what Gweneth wanted to do. She wanted to go home, stop her stomach from bleeding by wrapping herself in bandages, and she wanted to curl up in the comfort of her bed and sleep for the rest of the day. This was all too much to handle at the moment. Mei needed rest, she needed rest, Ichirou needed rest. No doubt about it. The humans probably wanted some rest, too. They looked...shocked, if nothing else.

-

Alec lifted his head at Axel's words. The woods? Was that where the key was. He stood up carefully and shook his head. "Wait...what?" He tilted his head to the side. "Did you just say turning into a shadow?" he asked, raising his eyebrows. He didn't like the sound of that. In fact, it sent a shiver down his spine. "I'm not doing this. Gweneth is right. I just want to go sit down right now, not be around you guys. But I'm not doing anything until someone explains this whole 'turning into shadows' thing."

-

Vincent grinned at Alec. "When you stay here for too long, you'll turn into a shadow. That, or you'll be killed. You might be happier to die here, rather than turn into a shadow. Seeing as the way you all are acting right now, if you turn into a shadow you'll all forget your human lives."

Ichirou-

Cautiously, Ichirou stood up and whipped the blood from his chin, just to cover it in blood once more when he coughed. "Wha-? I didn't expect you to be that easy to beat, but oh well." he shrugged and sighed, before sitting down on a bench. "If you knew where the key was, Axel, don't you think you would have bribed us with it in order for us to do some 'evil deed' for you?" Ichirou asked, with narrow eyes. He wasn't a hundred percent sure if he could trust this offer just yet, and he had no interest in getting himself or anyone else hurt today, they were already hurt enough. He shook his head and looked down at the ground. He obviously wasn't in the mood to make a decision at the moment, and he was more in the mood to bound home and slip into bed.

Angelica-

Angelica nodded and  looked up, sniffling a bit. She felt very weak at the moment, leaving out the fact that she was torn and bleeding in many places from Gweneth's blows. She sighed, and looked up at Axel, who had finished his fight with Ichirou. "No, why in the world would you want to lead the humans to the key? All you promised them was not to hurt them if Ichirou beat you. Besides, Vincent already had promised to get me some candy on the way home," she remarked, folding her arms and frowning. "I'm hurt and bleeding and so are both of you. We're going home and that's final!"

Chisa-

Chisa frowned. She wanted to find the key, but yet, she was afraid at what Axel was going to do to them if it was a trap. She stood and spoke her decision. "I say we go. Besides, if Axel really wanted to hurt us, wouldn't he have done so already? And if this fox doesn't hold true to his word, then he'll pay for it." Chisa hoped that she was speaking the right words. She braced herself for comments, but she wondered if others agreed with her statement. She shrugged and sat back down silently, folding her hands.

Gweneth sent a glare towards Chisa. Perhaps she was dumber than she looks. Chisa really didn't know anything about this world, did she? Which made Gweneth dislike the girl even more. She knew that she didn't know much about the world herself when she first came here, but she would at least have had the common sense to not trust the enemy. Most people would know that. "Do you really want to go?" she asked Chisa, narrowing her eyes. "Then go. If you want to be the idiotic one and do something like that, go ahead. And since you seem to have the memory of a goldfish, let me remind you that the entire reason Axel, Angelica, and Vincent were here was to beat the crap out of us, and kill you."

-

Alec lifted his head to look at Chisa, then looked at Gweneth. "Like Gweneth said, and I'll say this in a much nicer tone, but we should really just go home. We have plenty of time tomorrow to go looking in the woods." He paused. "Besides, it would be a really terrible mistake to make if they were lying." Alec didn't want to go looking for something that might not even exist right now. He, just like the other shadows, wanted to go "home" and rest.

(Hey! I got my internet back! :D)

Axel chuckled at Ichirou's remark. "My intention was never to get you to do an evil deed. I was simply bored." he said with a shrug. He looked at Gweneth "Now Gweneth, you shouldn't speak to them that way." He gently placed a hand on Chisa's shoulder and gave her a bright smile "You're not so bad! I'm glad there are still intellegent girls somewhere in this universe." he said with a friendly and warm voice. He move his hand away from Chisa and ran his fingers through his white hair. He ignored Chisa's finaly sentence, even though it made him chuckle a bit. I'll pay? Big words for a lowly human. he thought to himself and he walked over to Vincent and Angelica. "I'm suprised to hear you didn't know you could turn into a shadow. You're not ver well-informed, are you?" he shrugged again and smiled at them all. "Go home and rest, okay? You guys look like hell." He said looking over at Ichirou, Gweneth, and Mei's injuries. " Meet me here  tomorrow exactly at this time, if you want to go find the key." He looked down at Angelica "Okay, we can go eat candy now, Angelica." he said smiling.

Mei stared at Axel the whole time, ready to attack him if he makes any moves. She didn't know why though. In her current condition, there was no way she could hold Axel- or any of them down. He hand her hand on her ribs and she could tell that she was breathing heavily. Mei was amazed that she was able to keep standing. She glaced over at Angelica and Vincent, to make sure they weren't trying to do anything while our attention was on Axel. Mei was trying hard to keep her face calm instead of showing her pain. She was too busy trying to regain her composure that she could hardly hear what Axel was saying. Were her legs shaking? She couldn't tell. She couldn't see. Everything around her was a blur. She fell to her knees and clossed her eyes, trying to regain her breathing. Blast it. She couldn't even breath right. It felt like she was inhaling needles. How emberassing.

Kaito glared at Axel when he put a hand on Chisa's shoulder. Not like that would do anything. He frowned when he heard that they could turn into a shadow. "Seriously?" he looked over at Gweneth, Ichirou, and Mei. They all looked horrible. They needed to rest. "Yeah, I think we should wait. I don't want to make an sudden decisions." he looked back at Axel. "Besides... I don't really trust you." he said, honestly.

(YAY! :D)

-

Gweneth narrowed her eyes. "As if you have any say in how I speak to anyone," she remarked and took a step back. They weren't really going to go tomorrow, were they? It seemed like a stupid thing to do; trusting the enemy. She looked back to the humans. "We would have told you about turning into a shadow, if you had asked." She ignored Axel's last comment and turned to look at both Mei and Ichirou, startled when she found that Mei had fallen to her knees. She rushed over to Mei and knelt down beside her. "You'll be alright Mei. Just try to keep your eyes open and focus on breathing, no matter how much it may hurt. We're going to go home now, and we'll see what's wrong with your ribs." She stood slightly, and offered a hand to help her. "Think you can stand if Ichirou and I help you?" She asked, her voice wavering. She was shaking. Not from pain, but from fear. At the moment, no matter how strong Gweneth had always tried to be, she couldn't help but show her fear for her friends. "Glad to know that one of you is smart," she told Kaito, without taking her gaze off of Mei.

-

Vincent chuckled. "And I don't?" he asked Axel, raising an eyebrow. He knew well that they all looked terrible. The pain that Vincent felt everytime he spoke or moved his head was proof enough that he looked like hell. The mirror before helped with that, too. "I don't blame you for not trusting any of us. But, if Axel isn't lying, and he can really help you find the key, would you risk not chancing it?" he asked, tilting his head and wincing at the pain. "Let's just leave already," he mumbled under his breath. Clearly, whatever patience he had was gone now.

-

Alec made a face at Vincent's response to his question. Now that, was a bit too much for Alec to handle. Leave...let's leave now. He jumped slightly when Axel put his hand on Chisa's shoulder. If he did anything--. He calmed down when Axel ran a hand through his hair. Good. Nothing happened. Alec was honestly confused. Axel seemed so nice, but that could easily be faked.

(Short :x )

Axel smiled at Gweneth "I have a certain thing called manners. You should learn from my example." he said plolitely. He looked at Vincent "Well, I was going to skip you, because I didn't want to be rude. But now that you mention it.." he said with a chuckled "You look horrible. Did Mei break your nose?" he asked. He nodded "Yeah, lets go." He turned back to the humans "Bye! I hope to see you guys again. It would be shame for you to never get to leave." He nodded "Okay. Let's go. I'm tired."

Mei opened her eyes when Gweneth said that and just nodded, not trusting her voice. She took Gweneth's hand and stood up slowly. "Sorry." she said very quietly. She used her other hand to cover her mouth because she began to cough. She moved her hand away when she was done and was startled to see blood on her hand. Had the rib punctured an organ or something? She was feeling fine just a second ago. She looked at Vincent and grinned a bit. "I'd punch you again if I wasn't so tired." she said half-king, half-serious.

Kaito looked at Mei worried. Maybe she had reached her limits. He noticeed Gweneth shaking and frowned. Was she reaching her limits too? "Let's go back. Do you guys need any help?" he asked walking over. Kaito probably couldn't do much in a battle, but he was strong. Strong enough to carry one of them back home, if necessary.

"You needn't have a use for manners in a world like this," Gweneth told Axel, lifting Mei's arm over her shoulder. "Don't be sorry. We'll just have to quicken our pace on the way home, that's all." She gently grabbed at Mei's hand and stared at the blood. She had punctured something, hadn't she? No, not Mei. Vincent. This was Vincent's fault. "I'll rip his head off for this," she whispered, the hand she wasn't using to hold Mei up balled into a fist. "Don't talk," she ordered Mei. "You'll just end up coughing more." She tried to keep herself from shaking, but it was harder than she had expected it to be. "Could you help me by going onto the other side of Mei and helping her walk home?" she asked Kaito, frowning at the thought of asking a human for help. But they needed it.

-

Vincent nodded his head. "She did, but only after I broke her ribs," he said in a matter-of-fact tone. "Damn metal can hurt," he mumbled, turning to look at Mei. "And I'd break the rest of your ribs if Gweneth wasn't being such a good little guard dog," he remarked and grinned, turning back to walk beside Axel and Angelica. Funny thing, he could have sworn that they were glaring at them as they walked. He didn't have to turn around to know that.

-

Alec looked at Gweneth and Mei. "What about you?" he asked Gweneth. "You're shaking too, you know," he pointed out, frowning when Gweneth just shook her head. He really felt like helping them, but was there much that he could do at the moment besides help them home? He tilted his head. Axel let out a laugh "Ha, ha! You broke her ribs? That's so sadistic of you." he said smiling brightly as they walked.  When they were definitely out of their hearing range he looked over at Vincent and Angelica. "You don't have to come, tomorrow." he said "You think they might show up?" he asked

Mei was genuinely worried for her and for Ichirou.  She tried taking deep breathes, even though it hurt her to do so.

Kaito nodded and took's Mei over hand and put it over his shoulder. He wrapped his arm around her waist and helped her walk. He walked with her quietly. He really had nothing to say. He wanted to thank them. However, right now was probably not a good time. They were too beaten up to listen to him
