The Twilight Saga

Twilight Relation: There are vampires in the other {Shadow} realm.

*Plot*

Once there was a world known to many; Its name was Earth.  This world thrived and prospered, and many watched as it mantained life over the course of millions of years. The most sucessful species, humans, ruled the land with no fear.  However, they forgot one thing.

They were not the only ones that existed in this universe.

There once was a small town huddled in a hillside in England.  Not many people bothered with or knew about that town, but it was a nice and peaceful place to live at. There was green grass and meadows as far as the eye could see. There was also bright forests that lined the horizon, and a large hill where one could watch the sunset as the vibrant colors cascaded over the twilight sky.  There was a creek that ran through the forest, and provided a source of water to the people in the town.  The forest contained many twists and turns of old, worn out, and downtrodden paths. Old rusted train tracks cut through the forest, and an abandoned railroad station stood on the borderline of the forest.

14 year old, Chisa Inira, has always wanted to see a train pass through the old tracks, but her mother had to remind her that the last time a train passed through was over a century ago. One day, Chisa and a few of her friends decide to play down by the railroad tracks. They began to throw a ball back and forth, playing a game of catch. They squeal in laughter. Everything seems like a perfect evening, but it becomes a nightmare in a second. The breeze picks up and the trees start to sway. Chisa throws on her jacket and calls it quits, but a loud whistle screeched in the distance. "Run!" Chisa screamed, and her and her friends stumbled off the railroad. A shadowy train appeared, riding the tracks like a creature prowling in the darkness.

This train was like no else. The whistle sounded once more, and ghostly dark smoke blew from the pipe at the top.

It was indeed, a train made from darkness and shadows. A train that may change Chisa and her friends life forever.

"Ticket, Please."

*Important Notes*

-The shadow train leads into an alternate realm much like earth, however, the people who inhabit this place are shadows/spirits.

-Upon entering the shadow realm, you cannot re-enter the train back to earth unless you find the key.

-All shadow people resemble something specific.

-Staying with shadow people or mingling with them can slowly make you one as well.

-After entering the realm, you must look for a key that unlocks the train door. Without this key, there is no hope of ever returning.

-Shadow people don't have names, but when they shape-shift to humans, they use an alias.

-Some of the shadow people can take forms of regular humans, vampires, or animals, watch out!

Bio: As a young girl, Chisa had always been interested in the stars and the moon. She had always wondered if there was another place out there besides Earth. Her parents still discouraged her, never the less, but the flames in her eyes were never distinguished.

Personality: She's very childish, despite her age. She always complains when things don't go her way, and she loves to be the boss of things. She can be very clumsy at times, and bad at decision making, but that doesn't mean she can't be loving and caring. She finds her friends precious, and would do anything to save or help them.

Name: Kaito Nakamura

Gender: Male

Bio: Kaito's parents died in an accident 7 years ago. His older brother, Shin, is the one who takes care of him. Even as a kid he had a huge imagination. Ghosts, other dimensions, pirates, romance, you name it. Kaito would always tell stories that he came up with to his parents. His parents, being fiction writers, encouraged his imagination. However, his brother did not. Once their parents died, Shin didn't allow Kaito to say any more of his 'stories' and instead got him to play violin. Kaito loves playing the violin and is one of the few things he is very serious about. Kaito has always been curious about the train tracks, but not as much as the others.

Personality: Kaito is a very loud, bright and happy guy. He is very simple-minded and finds a lot of things to be fascinating. He has a lot of energy... too much actually. He could run around for hours and not get tired. It's practically impossible to make him mad. He's always smiling and forgiving to anyone who does his wrong. Kaito comes off as a careless fool a lot. He does have his sweet moments and hates it when people are sad- especially if it's someone he cares about. He is very protective of the ones he loves. Kaito is very imature sometimes and is always scolded by his older brother. Nobody has ever seen this kid cry or get mad.

Sometimes she has small flashbacks of her past. However it's usually small things like her being in a room (which she thinks was her bedroom) and two people arguing. She doesn't try to know more about her past. She loves anything black and usually comes off as a distant, shady, and dark person, which is one of the reasons people don't usually approach her.

Name: Alec Morgen

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Bio: Growing up, Alec was always a trickster and was very rarely serious. He loved to read Sci Fi stories and comic books, constantly marveling and wishing that he could be in one of those stories, coming alive as one of the characters and living a seperate life in another world. His mother discouraged the idea of his fantasies, but his father always patted him on the back, urging him to keep dreaming. Because, as his father said, dreams have strange ways of coming alive. When he heard the story of the Shadow Train, he was instantly amused and tagged along with Chisa to go to the train tracks.

Personality: He laughs at a lot, makes inappropriate jokes everynow and then, and often smiles to the point where it's contagious. He wouldn't harm a fly, and often trusts others to easily. He's kind, sweet, although his manners could be better...

Alias: Gweneth

Shape-shifter or vampire?: Vampire

Friend or foe of the humans?: She tends to sway back and forth depending on whether or not she is thirsty.

Backstory/History: Gweneth, unfortunately, doesn't remember any of her past life. Occasionally, she'll see images of bits and pieces of her childhood, but not enough to piece together anything important. Though she tries not to think of her past of the way she died, it constantly weighs in the back of her mind, beckoning her to discover more about herself. Gweneth tends to have a rude nature, which most likely keys back to her past. Because of being a vampire, it's hard for her to stay near humans for a long time. She wants to, sure, but most of them decide to stay away because of her aggressive nature and thirst for blood.

Alias: Vincent Duccan

Shape-shifter or Vampire?: Shape-shifter

If shape-shifter, what does it shape-shift into?: Human and a python

Friend or foe to the humans: Foe.

Back story/History: Unlike most shadows, Vincent remembers most of his past. He knows he was human, and that he had a younger sister. While being human, he cared for his sister a lot and often became too overly protective over her. His mother was diagnosed with tuberculosis and unfortunately died when he was a mere nine and his sister only seven. After his mother’s death, he became rude, sharp-tongued, and didn’t care for his sister as much as he should have at the time. His father was at a loss of what to do about Vincent, as he was hanging out with the wrong people and being in the wrong places. His father would strictly tell him to not hang out with those people or to not talk back to him as Vincent did so often, but Vince refused and continued to be rude and argumentative. He took the train to the Shadow Realm one breezy night and hung out with the shadows for too long, thus turning into one himself. Now, with the influence of other shadows, he hates humans, regrets being human, and hates to be near them. He’d much rather do without them in the Shadow Realm.

She recalled the many times she would be hurt in school from insults and terrible comments, and she recalled the time when she was so mad that she took her anger out on her pet rabbit by beating. She ended up killing the rabbit, and she never forgave herself. She remembered when her little brother would scream and cry at her for hurting the rabbit. One day, she went down to the lake, where she boarded the local train. Sadly, the train crashed, and the passengers were all dead, including Angelica. What she saw before she died – was a black rabbit.

She can be very energetic and hyper, and she loves to cause trouble and hurt others. She also whines a lot and asks questions frequently. She also has a hard time staying on task, and she rambles on most of the time. She also is very childish, and loves candy.

Shape-shifter or vampire?: Vampire

Friend or foe of the humans?: Foe

Backstory/History: As a young child, Atticus was abandoned by his birth parents, and sent to an orphanage.  This was mainly because his parents did not want him, not because of any disorders. He grew up there, but was always more violent than the other children. He made fun with dead animals that he found on the side of the street. He once brought a dead baby bird back to the orphanage to scare the other children. He was always described as morbid, downright insane, and sadistic. He was so mentally unstable that no one ever adopted him. At around age twelve, he began to go completely crazy. He was like this because he thought that no one would ever love him. At age sixteen, he committed suicide. Ever since then, he has lived in the shadow realm, and has been mentally corrupt, but manages to keep a low and steady profile there.

Mei frowned, noticing Gweneth turning pale. "Are you okay?" She asked, looking worried. "do you want me to bring you something to drink?" She asked. She then turned to the humans. "I dont Luke it. Axel is definitely someone that cannot be trusted. I don't like him nor the people his friends. Angelica is so immature and annoying, I cannot stand her. Oh and Vincent! I cannot believe he hit me! I'm a lady, how daré he lay a hand on me? He didnt even apologize for breaking my ribs." She said with a frown.

Kaito sighed. "yeah, I dont really like it. But what if he is actually trying to help us? " he asked. He looked at ichirou gweneth and mei. "But I dont want to trouble you guys any further."

Gweneth shook her head slowly. Surely she was alright. Just dizzy. Having her vision blur was okay with her, as long as it didn't advance into any other problems. "I don't like the sound of it," she told them. "Someone who tried to kill us can't be trusted. Especially those three. They give me the creeps, with the way they have so much fun as they try to kill someone." She liked to fight, true, but she would never go as far as to kill someone, however tempted she may be. She repositioned herself once more and sat up, bringing her knees to her chest and wrapping her arms around them. She rested her head on her knees and shivered, biting down on her lip.

-

Alec shook his head. "I don't think he's trying to help us," he said, trying his best to not become frustrated. There was no need to become frustrated. If he did, he wouldn't be able to think clearly. "But it's worth a shot. If we don't take the chance, who's to say that maybe the key really was in the woods? If that were true than we'd be screwed."

Ichirou grinned. "You just don't know what I do in my free time, that's all. We cats like to spend time in town. Eh?" he remarked, and looked out the window again. When the subject of tomorrow came up, Ichirou frowned. "There's no way in hell we're going to met Axel and the others there. We can't risk the human's life, nor can we risk ours." Cautiously he got to his feet and pointed at the window. "Gweneth, Mei, come here for a second. Ichirou glanced nervously out the window. The fog was building up, which was a sign that mid-day was coming, but there was an unusual amount of fog there. Ichirou wasn't sure if it was fog anymore. The fog was a light gray, smoky, thick, and almost slimy looking substance. "Have you seen the fog do that before?" he asked Mei and Gweneth, with widened eyes.

~

Chisa smiled. "I for one, think that getting the key would be the most important task as of now, therefore, why pass his offer? If its our most important task, then we ought to take a risk to fulfill it, right?" She slid herself lower in her chair. "We can always plan an escape route too, so if its a trap, we can flee. That is, if Ichirou Gweneth, and Mei know the forest as well as I hope they do." She finished, and glanced awkwardly out the window, carefully listening to Ichirou, with a horrified feeling in the pit of her stomach. Of course, she would have thought he was crazy if this was back home, but the truth is, this world was far from home, and she didn't expected it to act like home as well.

"That's not our decision to make, Ichirou," Gweneth told him. It felt strange, going along with the humans' ideas rather than Ichirou's or her own. "I think we should, just in case. We do know our way around the woods, or at least I know I do." She stood up and walked over to the window to get a better look outside. Her eyes widened at the sight, and a lump formed in the back of her throat. She shook her head slowly. It was strange, to say the least. She didn't like the look of the fog at all. "No, but fog shouldn't do that. Not here, anyway." She wasn't sure if this could be considered normal to the humans, nor did she feel like asking. "Should we go outside?" she questioned, feeling an urge to find out if it felt like normal fog.

-

Alec raised an eyebrow. "An escape route through the woods sounds easy. I mean, it's just a bunch of trees, rocks, and pricker bushes," he said and glanced out the window. So, this wasn't good? Is that what they were saying? He gulped and ran a hand through his hair. Why was it that in comic books, traveling to a different world seems like such fun, and now that he did so it sucks and is dreadful? It hardly seemed fair to Alec. "So I'm guessing fog like this is a bad thing?" he questioned, tilting his head with weary eyes.

-

(So, do we get to know what's up with the fog? Because I would LOVE to know. If you even know.)

(Of course I know, and of course you get to know. After you read a few replies. xD)

Ichirou shook his head. "Going outside to investigate is a feat. We best should stay here, and watch what it does. We'll go out if it poses any threat." He stared out the window, with fear in his green eyes. The fog was swirling and oozing, as if it was slime. It crept forward, and then back again, as if it was struggling to maintain a shape. It was no longer a transparent white gas, but yet a metallic, silver smlie substance. It lurched forward, in spasms, and went back again. Every time, it seemed to convulse and get larger. Soon, it was in an arched shape form, the silver liquid flowing and oozing as if it was made of water. Ichirou stumbled back from the window a bit, but kept his eyes glued to outside's picture.

~

Chisa almost nearly screamed when she saw what the fog was doing. She cupped her mouth, to avoid alerting anything or anyone. She slowly watched it as it malformed into something strange. What in the world was this? Was it friend or foe? Questions blurred through Chisa's mind, and she felt lightheaded. The fog was defiantly not fog anymore.

Gweneth glared. "And you think that thing doesn't pose as a threat?" she hissed, continuing to stare out the window. "Clearly it isn't normal, so I say we go out there and see what the hell is going on. If you don't want to, I will," she spoke with not a bit of hesitation in her voice. She didn't know what was going on, nor did she think it was by any means good. In fact, she was rather scared of what was happening, though she would never show her fear. But more than anything, she wanted to know what was going on outside.

-

Alec rubbed his eyes. He couldn't be sure if he was truly seeing the fog lurch and ooze. He wished he was hallucinating, though he knew for sure that he was not. He had wished this for the entirety of today and last night, but alas, nothing was a figment of his imagination. He hated that, and still desperately wished this was all a terrifying, long dream.

Mei sat up quickly, noticing the 'fog's' movement. She has a bad feeling. Her stomach felt like it was in a knot. "I've never seen the fog do That before..." A small gasp escaped her lips when she saw the form the fog took. What was that? Was it a fellow shadow? It couldnt be, she has never witnessed shadow take the form of slimy fog. Watching it made her uneasy. She looked at the humans, wondering if they had anything to do with if. Out of all the humans she met, they Were the most peculiar. She turned her attention to the fog again. "Is there anyone out there?" She asked. If there Were shadows and vampires out there mattered. If they are unhurt then the thing is most likely friendly. If they are hurt them thing is not friendly.

Kaito frowned at Ichirou, Gweneth, and Mei's response about the slime fog. That meant That they didnt know what it was right? More importantly, they didnt know wether That thing was dangerous or not. What if ot attacked rthem. None of them are in conditionv to right. As for him, Alec, and Chisa, they most like stand less of a chance. Maybe it was a weird change in weather? He hoped that was the case but he had a feeling it wasnt.

Ichirou squinted and watched the liquidized monster take form. At first, the shape of a shadow, then the shape of some sort of waterfall of slime, and then back to its arched shape. It looked as if it was some breed of a shadow. But what kind of breed? A breed of shadow that was made of metallic slimy fog? Impossible. As soon as Ichirou decided to clear those thoughts from his mind, it took a steady form, liquid pulsing through its figure as if it was made entirely of just silver blood. It poked its head upwards, and looked straight at them in the window. It had large, white, spherical holes in the middle of its face. Except that they weren't the normally eyes of a shadow, which were materialized, they were just hole in its head, glowing with a white gleam. Ichirou stuttered to say something, he was too horrified.

"S-S-Shaa-dows." Its mumbled.

~

Chisa looked to Alec, and then to Kaito. She stared in fear as it took the shape of what seemed to be a shadow. "W-what is it?" She stammered out loud, not sure if Mei, Gweneth, or Ichirou even knew what it was. She was afraid that it was something dangerous, and that it had come for the humans or something like that. Or maybe it was coming of all of them. Are we doomed?

Gweneth stepped back from the window, shaking. You're showing your fear, she reminded herself and took a deep breath, calming herself down, though goosebumps lined her arms and legs. What was this thing? She looked at Ichirou and Mei, biting back her words from before. She didn't want to go outside anymore. But what should they do? Should they get the humans upstairs, where it's safer? Gweneth was terrified. She was stiff in her spot, no longer coherant of what was going on around her. Her head racked with questions. Why was this happening to them? Why now when they were still hurt? Why wasn't she paying attention to anything? Why is she so scared? She couldn't find the right answers, so she stayed where she was, stiff and breathing slowly.

-

Alec bit down on his lip. "We'll be fine, right?" he asked, though the question was more directed towards himself. He was nervous far more now than he was before. Ichirou, Mei and Gweneth all seemed frightened, so he shouldn't feel so cowardly. If Ichirou couldn't talk and Gweneth went stiff in her spot, he had a reason to be frightened.

Mei crigned when the slime thing looked over at them. Her eyes Were Wide open and she felt like she couldnt move. Was this what fear was? Its been so Long That Mei forgot the feeling. She looked at Ichirou and Gweneth. They looked just as scared as she did. She closed her eyes and focused of her breathing. Freaking out wasnt an option right now. She was scared, yes, but she couldnt let her fear get the best of her. She touched placed her hand on Ichirou's shoulder and herbother hand on Gweneth's shoulder. "We need to stay clam." She said in a low voice. Despiste her words, she was haking, ever so slighty. She looked at the fog for a Long time. She looked at the humans. "You too. Dont make too much noise. It May be sensitive to noise and movement. I dont know." She ordered and answered bit Chisa and Alec's question as quietly as she could. aidShe has a bad feeling. She could feel her bottom lip trembling so she bit it
To make it stop.
.
Kaito frowned at their reactions. So not only did they not know what it was, but they Were afraid s of it. r. That made him feel even worse. He saw it looking at them and shuddered. Despite his fear, he was intruiged bu it. He wanted to know what it was. Was it a shadow? Or another species? Why were Ichirou, Gweneth, and Mei scared of it? Was it be because they didnt know what it was of because they felt it was too dangerous for them to fight, especially with their current condition. He hopes it was the first thing. He was paralyzed with fear. He couldnt even breathe right.

Ichirou shook his head. "Let's go take a look at it." His voice was full of fright, but he tried to show no fear, even though he knew the others knew he was surely scared.  He rose to his feet, went to his closet, and unlocked it. He slowly pulled a out a few small daggers, just incase. He preferred not to fight with weapons, but this was a special case. He handed a few of the daggers to Mei and Gweneth, and beckoned them to the door. He then turned to the humans. "Stay here," he said, and quietly slipped from the door. Cautiously, he made his way around the house, breathing heavily, but quietly.

~

Chisa was holding back a scream. Her whole body was shaking, and she tried to keep her eyes closed in order to avoid the scary face of this monster which was causally peering inside the window, as if starring into their souls. She nodded as the shadows trailed out the door, and was ready to jump to her feet and garb an extra dagger if necessary. She blinked opened her eyes, and she watched out the window. The creature might have heard the shadows coming outside, since it perked its head in the direction of the front door. She looked to Alec and Kaito, and said nothing, then back to the window, ready to watch this horrific scene.

Gweneth took a dagger from Ichirou and held it facing downwards, gripping onto its handle tightly, until her knuckles turned white. She didn't care though, she was more focused on that thing. If something were to happen, they wouldn't easily be able to fight it off. Not with their injuries. But Gweneth wasn't too worried about herself; she was more worried about the conditions of Ichirou and Mei. Mei had a broken rib and didn't need to be harmed anymore than she already was, and Ichirou might be in more pain than he's letting onto. Gweneth was hardly thinking about herself anymore. Just the safety of Ichirou, Mei and the humans.

(Can't think of what to write for Alec that will be any different from my other reply. :X)
