If you've read The Giver, it relates to The Host, I think. Only a tiny bit. Though in The Giver, they can't see colors, they don't have sunlight and they don't have pain. A biiig 'WTH' right there, lol. The Host is just a bit better (scratch that, a whoooole lat better) than The Giver... They both have certain rules and have peace. Too perfect.

Hello there, just wanted to say "hi" to everyone. I've finally find a place where I can talk about "The host".
I've read it only 2 times but since there's going to be a movie and a sequel I'm sure I'll reread it hehe. Anyway this book made me feel better about humans, about the world. And it proves that every author should get a second chance. I've never liked the Twilight Saga (although I liked Jake and I'm huge fan of Charlie-from-the-movie), but "The host"... Yeah, this was something for me.
Ugh, sorry for boring you. And I just wanted to say "hi".

niknik, I'm the same as you. I just finished #5. Each time I finish, I get something new out of the book.

5th reading niknik ...I can understand that. I've just started listening to it on audio book too. while I am at work and it's amazing how many things you pick up on that you missed when it's someone elses voice. xx

spam really sucks- its such a distraction when all you want to read is what others think of this great book.
I have just finished my 4th reading last week, and considering a 5th reading. I don't get much time to read, mostly when I am working- I have to sit and wait about an hour a day. I love this book, and I feel the same way as Donna- Team Ian, but would not turn away Jared if the opportunity arose.

Hi all, I have just joined this group having read the Host twice. I really loved it but I am sad to see you are being plagued by the same chain letters that we have endured for the last two weeks on one of my other groups. We had to contact admin and we sent out a ban notice to everyones email saying if they sent just one they were out....this seems to have worked....I hope. I know how annoying it is, not to mention childish. Looking forward to talking over the aspects of the book. And by the way...Team Ian!!...although I'd not turn Jared from the door if he turned up one dark night. xx
